Why is that i will be throwed in a game, hooked and then facecamped until i die. It's so #########. This person either has absolutely no clue how competitive online games work and is used to participation trophies and hand outs....or its a troll lol.
But yes, nerf us baby killers! We are told how much we suck every match so nerf us some more! -
This one will take me a while. I don't have time to play 5-10 games a day.
I do that in a week! -
NOED has worked great.
Then salty baby survivors cry in end game chat as if I hacked or somehow juked the system.
Lol....it's just NOED. Maybe don't teabag at the gate and then cry cuz you got hooked lol!!
If people just played the game instead of stroking their egos and epeens we wouldn't have so much salt (or death threats, or racist name calling) -
They dont.Gamedozer7 said:I noticed that as well the better i do the more salt i tend to get lol. Or dying light and your the obsession and I'm sorry
This game has one of the worst and most toxic player bases I have ever seen in online games. (That includes WoW, HotS, LoL and many others!)
Just know that the worse the comments get, the better you are doing (probably like being president of the USA!).
If you get told to commit suicide or contract a rare disease and/or cancer and are sent death threats you are playing well!
If you get 4 "gg"s....well, you have some work to do and it probably means they all escaped and they have nothing to cry about. -
First day of any event,.in any game, for as long as online games and events have existed, has been this way.
Mad rush for event materials for first weekend...Then back to same ol'.
Only feedback is they should have allowed this event to run all of October instead of 2 weeks (like most well populated online games do). Stupid. -
Lol...I played 5 games tonight....3 with trapper (for daily) and 2 with doc....with trapper I got a 1k and 2 2k's...with doc I got a 2k and a 3k (not that great, imo).
EVERY game, I had some survivor tell me how bad I was, teabag (who I usually tunneled, hooked and sac'd), and I believe I got called "baby killer" or "BAD killer" in every game. Funny thing...the only people throwing salt were the ones that got sacrificed!
(There was so much salt being thrown my way, I bagged some and put it on my popcorn at the theater when I saw the new halloween.)
There are just a lot of sore losers and crybabies in this game. It kind of blows that this type of culture is allowed....yet it is what it is. Just enjoy the frustration you are causing them. In fact, they are probably so stressed and sad and depressed you are probably taking years off their life!
TAKE AWAY POINT: You know you are doing well as a killer if you get death threats and pleads for you to commit suicide and told you are generally playing "wrong".
-
Also, I play as doctor so I know how science works!

If you're having a hard time as a survivor, you're going to have a really hard time as a killer. Which means that you won't be making any more bloodpoints by simply playing as a killer. So, being a new player, should I learn the Survivor side before trying to go Killer-main? So far, starting with Killer, I damn near walked away from this game for good yesterday. Right now, I'm sitting very much on the fence. But trying to play Killer as a brand new player . . . well . . . suddenly the issues I left Overwatch over didn't seem to matter much anymore, and I was prepared to just head on backIo
>One of the best things about this game is the learning curve. When you are new, you pretty much suck, but the more you play, the better you get. It won't ho!d.your hand and those kiddos used to hand out trophies probably won't find them here (unless , they play survivor and find an amazing group.)
>just play the killer you like. Read a few guides and actually learn to play him/her. You will be 4king at low ranks in no time and working your way up. There is no real "trick" to getting good. Idiots are still idiots and the people that use their brain and practice get good (at whatever that may be). As it should be.

I would like a Chucky killer. Started binge watching the chucky films and thinking about it would be interesting if they could make him a killer in dbd. He would need some specific interactions with things. But would be harder as the killer because you would be so low to the ground. To compensate you could give him a neat ability?I think a doll would be cool and creepy. He might have trouble hooking though....They would have to bypass that mechanic.
I think a twins/triplets child killer would be cool too...you control one at a time and the rest stand around staring, sending a telepathic notification to.you if they see someone and maybe even stabbing at nearby survivors. You could change which one you control, sort of like Vikings on HotS.

Sometimes a killer suddenly has to poop.
Or sometimes a killer's puppy suddenly has to poop and/or pee.
Killers can't control everything. It's dumb we have to host.
But unless a survivor is going to come over and change my and/or my puppy's diaper....it's a DC.
Why not just go afk?
I was half joking. I can't say I have ever actually purposefully dc'd. But I have gone afk for something (usually a beer and/or the puppy).
Unless someone is racing to get to rank 1 (which....why?), I can't really see a reason to purposely dc. Sometimes you just get a crappy map with really good/loaded opponents and the next 5-10 minutes blows. That's just the way it is.

I'd want to be a blob that can eat pallets and other crap like generators and slowly expand to swallow the entire map.
But it would have to be pink, like in the movie. And be afraid of cold....that way survivors would have no defense. GO AHEAD AND SHINE YOUR BRIGHTEST FLASHLIGHT, DWIGHT! IT WON'T SAVE YOU!!! -
Recently started playing doc....found out camping is a waste of time with him.
I can hook, use bbq to run after some else, kick a gen and hope they will unhook my hook while I am upping their madness.
I can increase the saviors madness while he is unhooking and (maybe) slug them both then hook them both.
Characters like LF are very face value...he can do well with camping because when 1-2 srvs rush the hook, sometimes you can one shot them all.
You gotta play to the killer's strengths...Sometimes that meAns defending the hook and sometimes it means running around like and idiot. -
If you win in any way, even a 1k, expect salt.

Add an AI mode with tiered difficulty.
For both sides.
Problem solved. -
Mostly I agree but it's not my fault if they don't let me get 10 feet away before I see scratch marks, hear breathing or see them.SuperiorityComplex said:While I do agree camping is a valid tactic and totally within the killers rights, I do think it’s quite unfun for the hooked survivor. The killer should have his aura revealed to the rest of the survivors if he stands within x meters of the hook for x seconds and not in a chase.
In those case, I blame the survivors for ruining the hooked person's fun because what am.I supposed to do....let them rescue when I clearly see them?
And let's not forget: the survivor on the hook isn't on the hook for no reason...he got caught. There is a learning curve to this game that I appreciate. -
I have found that usually the good survivors understand the difference between solid gameplay (on both sides, whether it's looping or camping) and don't get salty. Likewise, so do I (Ie flashlight and ds use is part of the game).Boss said:I'm not here to poke fun at you, so please don't read my question as if i am.
If you're proud of it, did you ever get triggered by salty Survivors in the chat?
Just genuinely curious.
I have been called every name under the sun, but the most frequent ones are "baby killer" and being told to commit suicide, but that is almost always from the survivor on the hook whose teammates keep rushing it before I get 10 feet away and their struggle timer runs out.
The good groups don't get mad at.you for camping because it is usually my loss if i camp for no reason but those groups I don't usually camp with because they take advantage of it. I get more kills and higher score if they release the hook and I can scramble them, break gens, hook more people....but sometimes they just don't let me and I have to camp. -
If survivors let me camp all game, never successfully bait me off the hook, keep rushing the hook before I get 10 feet or fail to distract me long enough to free the hook or pop gens/chests while I am standing around the hook then they are bad at the game and deserve the loss.The_Crusader said:The problem with camping is it totally sucks the fun out of the game for the person who had the misfortune of being hooked first. There's no fun in being on the hook knowing you're not going to get off.
They don't have a chance to earny any points either. So some disconect or suicide on the hook, which means the killer just camps the next guy.
Camping all game is awful and unfair. Unless the person is incredibly toxic, i.e. teabagging after every pallet drop in which case they deserve to be camped.
If I camp all game and the survivors rush the hook or pop the gens, bait me into chases and still escape, I deserve the loss and a lousy 1k with very few blood points because I camped for 1 sac and the survivors had free reign. -
There should be a spot on the forum where you can post screenshots of death threats, death wishes and general mean spirited salt.

I think you are playing exactly is it should be played. As long as you aren't hacking, I think you're fine. If it is a built-in mechanic, there is no such thing as incorrect etiquette (this includes camping, flashlights, ds and tunneling.

Alot of people would leave the game because it would be pay2win. The number of people who would leave the game for this reason alone would be quite large I imagine. I'm sure EA could ballpark a number. Que times would skyrocket overnight.
Alot of people would leave the game because part of the draw of this game for them is the grind. This drives the wait time up even further.
People, tired of waiting hours for a game, would find another game to play.
This game dies completely.
At first, admittedly, they might turn a tiny profit off selling bps but they would lose more off future chapters and cosmetic item sells because who would buy DLC for a game no one plays?
I guess I am not understanding how buying blood points is pay to win? I could play for hours to level up a character to unlock a teachable and probably rank up in the process, or I could buy blood points to do the same thing (and not rank up, so I would still be rank 20).
I don't see how people buying blood points would effect q times since it doesn't affect rank?
pay 2 win by buying bloodpoints. you think having a p3 killer at rank 20 would be fair and not P2W
There isn't anything anybody can get from buying blood points that they couldn't get from farming (similar to a level boost in other games).
Unless I am missing something? -

This is so far off from the real cause of microtransactions but it's too late for me to type an appropriate response.Nikkiwhat said:You lot championing such things don't have the foresight to understand that it sets a precedent for game companies/developers to rig games and their progression to accommodate people having to buy those microtransactions...pay to NOT play the game.
Don't be ignorant, this affects the entire gaming industry...to where save slots are being sold in fully priced games. It tells EVERY game company what's more easily pushed into games....I hate this line but it really rings true: "You are what's wrong with X". Your wanton "I wanna skip this part" of the game exemplifies companies making grinds and gameplay worse because people will throw money at it...this all started with F2P mobile games, or games that were $1-5 ...its now a practice in games priced $20-60
Dead By Daylight isn't gonna fix this problem so it's better if they lean into it, make some money and keep developing the game. -
Use it if you want. Don't if you dont.
Either way, if you do well, let em cry and use their end game chat salt on your popcorn and enjoy the show!
Play how you want. NOED isn't cheating. -
Agree. There is no prize for ranking up faster is there? If someone buys their way to lvl 50, they still have to play to increase rank (assuming they want to).Dreamnomad said:Personally, I wouldn't care if they sold 1,000,000 BP for 5 dollars or something. The kind of bloodpoints it takes to get anywhere in this game, that is a drop in the bucket. So someone would have to pay quite a bit of money to max even one character out with purchases. Keeping the money flowing in means they will keep developing the game. And personally, I want them to keep developing the game. With all that said, I kind of doubt it will happen.
I could play crappy or on bp events and still be lvl 50 at rank 20....Or when season resets.
Same as other games offering paid level boost.
Can anyone give an example of how it would hurt?
While I am past the point of paying to level a character, I would have appreciated it earlier while trying to level LF...I probably would have bought some bps to speed that process along.

I lost track of this whole conversation but the bolded point is what i was saying. If there are 3-5 gens left and I hook someone and BBQ tells me every other survivor is within x meters of me...then I see two survivors with a flashlight or two crouching and CLEARLY trying to bait me off hook....well...consider it a campground because clearly I don't have to worry about gens.Blood_Coil_Viper said:
I'm not ignoring your point but no one mentioned anything about camping with 5-3 gens left. I think he was referring to situations with Survivors rushing the hook or all gens are powered. Me and Fallen Utopia know each other in person and we both agree that camping with 5-3 gens is stupid. But we both also agree that some situations call for it. We only ever camp if one of those 2 situations occurs and never at any other point. Sorry if that wasn't clear before. I'll agree to stop this now.
Likewise, if I am nurse and BBQ shows me 3 survivors near gens....well, I am off to rescue those poor gens!
Camping is a strategy, same is DS and flashlights, like it or not.
Learn to counter it or fail against it. On both sides. But the crybabies that tell me to commit suicide for camping....lol I think they might have bigger problems. -
Yeah, sometimes I think the "easy, moderate, hard" ratings in the game are misleading.
Leatherface is really hard to play with against good survivors since he is so straightforward, but against bad survivors, he is super easy.
I do better against good survivors with Myers, who is more complicated, but easier to succeed with once you understand his mechanics.
Anyway, nurse is similar to Myers for me, which makes sense. Learning a complex mechanic should be rewarding.
Then again....Billy lol

Just play for fun. Sometimes I screw around the whole match practicing blinks or trying to get a daily on a killer i never play.

That's just poor playstyle or someone new to the game. We do that and maybe get the sacrifice but not much else. Good survivors eat a killer like that alive (as they should!)

Just wanted to alert all killers to be careful not to proximity camp a hooked survivor.I was informed that, although i was not actually by the hook, but could be visibly seen by the hooked survivor, i was still camping by being within proximity of the hook.
Please ensure you travel to the other end of the map where they cannot see you to prevent this from happening.
Please also note, hooking a survivor twice in a row is tunneling. Please ignore all healing attempts and failed skill checks and audio cues in an area of a recently unhooked survivor.
Also, after thorough instruction from survivors, do not stay in front of someone who is hooked when the exit gates are powered. This is camping, please report to an exit gate for a dance session, unless the exit gate is visibly seen by the hooked survivor, in which please refer back to proximity camping.
Thank you for your time.
Awww im sorry you cant camp without someone calling you out on it idk maybe just gain enough skill to not camp? Play Billy, or the nurse so you never have to camp

Or you could learn to counter camping. It's not that hard. Good survivors do it all the time and succeed.
Bad survivors struggle with it though.
Learn to counter it and you never have to worry about it again!

A strong defensive killer but other than that no he isn’t OP. It’s just that a lot of players play to his strong stat which is defense, so they’ll camp. Which them he gets gen rushed and gets 0-1K.Bad survivors won't do that. They'll swarm the hook then tell you to "######### camper" when you 4 k. He is pretty easy against bad survivors.
I have seen good matches where a good survivor would try to pull me off chases or flashlight me as I am trying to hook while the other survivors pop gens. Those usually result in MAYBE 1-2ks....sometimes 4scapes.
Against good survivors he is really hard because a lot of his success comes at face value (speed, multiple slugs with cs).
I don't think he needs a nerf though. I find his cs situational but when it works, it gets me like 2-3 slugs. Maybe I am just bad at him though lol.
