Survivor: thinks they won before all gens are even done. 3 gens themselves
Killer: kills
Survivor: comes to forum to complain that they lost a match they thought they had won.

not really if my teammate would have ran away from me instead of going towards me the shock would have missed and the killer was pretty bad so maybe it wouldnt have been a win but i would have escaped and probably the other guy that wasnt on downed i mean if you would have seen the match you would have known what im talking about
If my mother was an only child I wouldn't have an aunt.
Game isn't over until it's over. Stop focusing on what you didn't get, what could have happened and you'll be much happier.

Good luck in that I guess
Unfortunately that's just what it is. Hopefully the new mmr, when it goes into effect will fix that, I did notice my teammates during the mmr test didn't seem to have their cognitive functions so vegetable based. There isn't a way the devs can balance around people who don't play as a team without breaking it for everyone.

What is the counterplay for a solo Q survivor who doesn't run DS who gets farmed from the hook and tunneled?
Hope you get actual team players in your next match
-
Devour is the best hex left in the game, it works a lot better with the new Undying than it did the old.

ooh i did the doc was probably the worst player in a long time without any gen pressure at all it was an super easy win... he just got lucky that i got madness 3 from his shock like 20 meters away! all 3 had adrenaline and we all would have been healed and could have gotten the last guy off hook it was a guaranteed win almost :p well my teammate kinda threw to because he did run on the gen and pop it.
Yup, it was such an easy win that you all died.
Sounds like you want to count chickens before they've even been laid, much less hatched. Maybe if you wait to see a game as won until you've actually escaped, you won't feel so bad about losing games that started off going your way.
-
BT is one of the better perks out there, especially with the current meta.

he did now know he used the shock that goes 360 while looping someone he then did a 180 ran straight for me and i got downed because he was pretty close. it should be used for knowledge and shouldnt make a difference. It shouldnt make 3 players that had an easy win lose just because you cant complete the last generator this is not really a big problem for me but on the smaller maps its annoyings as...
You didn't have an easy win. You 3 genned yourselves and lost because of it. Nerfing a working mechanic isn't the cure, learning not to 3 gen yourself is. Static blast has a cool down and is hard countered by being in a locker.

yep just lost a game beacuse of it 3 people died since i couldnt get the generator that was on 99.9% and i got downed so my adrenaline couldnt activate it can be a really huge deal mainly late game i agree on that one. Now early on it isnt a problem @Crowman
So you lost because the killer knew how to manage madness tiers. And? If everything that caused one side or the other to lose a game was removed, we'd just be left with a gen repair/jumpscare simulator where no killer/Survivor interactions occur.
-
Yeah... No. I'm not down with changing the only things that make madness 3 worthwhile. You want to be able to do gens while on madness 3, what's next? Wanting to do gens when you've been Slugged?

When a survivor who was on death hook and could have easily just be killed and I was in a chase with someone else ends up t-bagging me at the gates. That irritates me. When I force the stun to end a loop and they t-bag like there good when you did exactly what I wanted. i do that for 2 reasons I most of times get a hit and end the loop at the same time. I'm still confused on the whole sit at the gate until the killer watches me leave aspect of the survivor role even the ones who don't t-bag do this.
I don't get it either. If I know the gates are opened I just go around breaking pallets, I don't go watch the display, so I imagine I leave a few Survivors disappointed
-
Bad sportsmanship, but it's ok, I'll give them plenty of time on the hook to consider how their behavior effects their playtime.

My problem isn't with the penalties intention, my problem is wanting to play the game and being unfairly punished for it because somebody else's something went wrong. Here I am doing a gen and oops, killer left the match for whatever reason, looks like I deserve this matchmaking ban for 15 minutes.. defend that if you can defenders, but its not right.
That, if it happened, would be a bug, and should be reported as such. Somehow I kinda doubt it did, considering your op.
-
I would not really be surprised to find that the 4% is increased to 20% when there are only 2 of left
-
Increase the DC penalty.
I would double the existing penalty track. Also double the amount of bloodpoints the killer receives when they dc, so they get something out of having to deal with that.

There are more toxic killer strategies then toxic survivor strategies and the survivors ones don’t outright prevent you from playing the game.
When were you unable to play the game? While you were looping the killer for 3 gens, or when you stunned him 3 times in a later chase?
-
That sounds like a bug. Any chance you recorded the match?

Can anyone decipher this?
He apparently believes hex: devour hope somehow made small game glitch out and stop showing up. About on par with the other comments from him, tbh.
-
Iron Grasp.
It's wonderful when dealing with Survivors who like to swarm you to slow you down while carrying their friend to a hook. Was running it on doc yesterday, Slugged two on the way using it, managed to get 3 people on hooks at once at the end, which caused 4th to dc.

Well then Freddy should be able to see his clocks as well, no?
Absolutely. Plague should see fountains, trapper should see traps, pig should see boxes and freddy should see clocks. Any freddy that camped a clock would lose anyway, so why not?

Put it on Small Game, though.
If not this then make a new perk, have it tell you how many totems remain and give 20% bp bonus to altruism for each totem broken (lit or unlit).

You uh. Do realize I was talking about moris in particular there, right?
I don't like map offerings because they affect the game too much. The rest are fine because the Killer/Survivors in question can work around them. I also just don't think you can expect a solo queue Survivor without coordination to hide in a corner all game to prevent the Killer from getting a free kill. Without playing in a 4 man SWF, that simply isn't reliable.
And I will repeat, most games you do not face a 4 man SWF. If I have to say this again I'm going to cry-
Who is this evil person who broke into your home and is forcing you to type things? Who is so mean as to force someone to log into this forum and specifically reply to people?
-
GoodboyKaru. Wonderful person, always a joy to see his name in a thread because I know it's gonna be something fun or at the least filled with adorable animals
-
Pretty standard dbd matchmaking
-
Billy should be the posterboy. Even after he got the nerf bat he's fun to play as and against, has a very unique look, and is one of the OGs.
-
Put voice comms in the game, make them range dependent and let the killer hear it as well (but not speak, because that gets weird, at least it did inF13) then make it so that the game takes over audio in and out when running, so team speak/ventrillo/discord/skype/etc can't be used.
Is that possible? I'm not sure, I know it can be done on console at least and I think it's worth considering, because at that point the only advantage swf will have is in people knowing they have friends they can rely on to do objectives.
Will people of the extra sweaty variety find a way around it? Probably, but not in nearly the numbers we see now.
-
Maybe they were just trying to say goodbye and thanks? Did you check to see if they were using morse code?
Seriously though, it's just another thing kids (and immature adults) do, why even care?
-
@Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:
My suggestion was, if you really want to give the killer a speed boost against a SWF, give them different levels of Bloodlust when they initiate chase with the SWF members depending on how big it is.
That way, they get a definitive advantage against the SWF but don't completely screw over the potential solo players for existing in the wrong game.
I like this idea better. Bloodlust takes a bit of time to pop in, so you've got to work for the extra speed still, and it would still be a chase, just one that gives less time for the swf to benefit fully.

Whenever i load into a survivor match at around 6PM it always takes me 12 minutes to load in. is that normal? If it is or isnt can they fix that?
Personally I don't play killer after 5pm, CST because I've noticed that when I do, my experience is markedly worse than at any other time. Every message I've gotten using a racist or homophobic slur, or advocating for my personal, real life demise has come from playing after 5. Every swf sweat team, hacker, or troll group I've encountered has been after 5. After a while, the pattern is too obvious to ignore, so I adapted accordingly.
-
Whether you leave the match because you hit the button, pulled the cord out, ignored the low battery warning on your switch or lost internet, the result is the same for the other 5 people in the match. Why should the penalty be different? If your internet is bad enough that you keep getting disconnected, fix it before you play. Charge your switch. Don't do things that screw over 5 other people just trying to enjoy a fun match. Take responsibility.
-
Frankie D is underrated in general, which I find odd considering one if the biggest killer side complaints is hard countered with it.
-
The interrupt ability in his shock is overrated, still has to be good at chasing or he won't get a single hook. Other than that, he's definitely not low tier, he's comfortably on the high end of mid tier at worst.
-
I play on two consoles, so I'll break it down
Xbox
Survivor 5, killer 4
Switch
Survivor 9 killer 6

I think this discussion needs a reality check. Let me put a few things in context:
- Camping and Tunneling are both considered valid, legitimate tactics in the game.
- Camping and Tunneling have always been with us and will always be with us.
- However, how often these tactics get used is dependent on the current Meta.
- While Undying + Ruin was in service they decreased in use within the mid to potent Ranks.
- Their use stayed about the SAME in the newbie, i.e. Potato, Ranks.
- Mid to Potent Tier Killers Tunneled and Camped less with Undying + Ruin because they could.
- The loss of that combination means a certain percentage of them adapted.
- They adapted by going back to Tunneling & Camping to reduce a 4v1 to a 3v1 as rapidly as possible.
- This is largely their only alternative to deal with the speed of Generators at a certain Survivor Skill Level.
- This also will not change again until the Meta shifts again.
People are talking around each other and avoiding the key issues. Killers and Survivors both only do what they must. This game is constantly adapting and shifting, i.e. evolving. When there was a way to slow Generators down, Killers went out and hunted more and focused on pressure. When there aren't any (or many) effective ways to slow Generators down, they focus on eliminating Survivors because each one dead cuts off 25% of potential Generator progression. That is the long and the short of it. You cannot maximize both variables. Thus, if you want Killers to make less use of Tunneling and Camping, you have to provide slower Generator progression opportunities.
Blaming Killers for Tunneling and Camping is as silly as blaming Survivors for body blocking or working Generators as fast as they can. The Killer's job (objective) is to prevent you from escaping, i.e. kill you. The Survivor's job (objective) is to escape, i.e. get those Generators running to open the exit. Whatever they do within the rules to accomplish that is not our place to judge. Directing angst at either side is just poor sportsmanship, period.
There's a reason I like you

I must admit I don't think I've ever used Bloodhound in any incarnation. Might be time ot try it out.
I've been using a silly HYUUGE TR build with Doctor using Sloppy, Caulrophobia, distressing and M&A and calm add ons. It's a build that really shouldn't work but I've got a lot of wins from survivors just making stupid plays, but in the endgame they're mad at me. Its like they'd rather I just use the boring ol' reliable with Ruin/Undying.
I love a good massive TR doc build! Especially when running discipline so they constantly have to look back when they run :)

Im not trying to be rude, I genuinely do not understand what you are trying to say. It may be the lack of punctuation, it may be because it is late, but I genuinely do not understand what you are trying to convey
I think i can translate.
"Against solo 12 hooks is possible, but even a 2-3 man swf can be too efficient, the gens just fly by. Even as a solo Survivor who isn't good at looping I can loop a killer for 3 gens or get 1-2 totems broken in the time it takes m team to do 3 gens. I can see why it is frustrating for killers and something must be done"
-
Take care of my island in Animal Crossing
-
The only way I would change his mori is to have him stab instead of throw. Just have him slicing the Survivor up as they scream, then throw the picture and knife when they fall
-
Snowy parisan village for the twins.
Korea streets, or half burned recording studio (perhaps with record company offices) for trickster
Prison based on Deathslinger's lore
Opium den/abandoned monastery for Blight.
Big old Castle.
Snowy graveyard.

A magical evil demon ripped people out of time and forced them into an eternal game of Predator and prey, giving all of the predators the same basic magical powers and then going even further with others, such as making a fallen samurai into a vampire or a mesopotamian priestess having vomit that physically injures you, and your big complaint is that the Tricksters magical powers include the ability to accurately time a knife throw?
Finally, some sense here.
Seriously what is happening that has people thinking any mori is logical?
-
To get bp you gotta do it all. If you are more focused on just winning games just being good at one thing, looping or stealth is enough. Just gotta decide what your priorities are.
-
I like Trickster's mori. I'm not sure why we are trying to look at the logic of it, as logic has nothing at all to do with any of this. Maybe the entity catches the first knife and then throws it at the end to spear the card.

The grammar and punctuation sadly not. And typing on a smartphone isn't really an excuse. I am doing the same and English is also not my mother language.
Indeed. I'm also on smartphone (well, it claims to be smart, at least)
-
I'm good with the map, but I can't think of a killer that would be vastly different from what we already have.
The three fingered guy from the first film would make for a decent Survivor, but he should have a gen repair speed handicap :p

I'm similar with Billy/Oni/Bubba. I don't want them nerfed but I hate facing them because I suck at 360 juking their one shot. As for stealth killers I like going against them. A nice jump scare is appreciated in a horror game.
That's why I like facing Hag. Jump scares and it forces you to pay attention
-
One other thing.
Being able to queue as Survivor or killer, unlike F13 where it was blind luck who would get to be jason. If I want to play with a team, I go Survivor, if I'm not feeling particularly happy about being a team player I can queue as killer and get the experience I want.
