When the game stop becoming fun and is more akin to actual sweaty work where you are not allowed to even make a single mistake then many will choose other games. Or switch roles. I switched roles and even that was becoming unfun being upranked so easily to the point where i was facing people far above my skill level. I dont have a problem losing. Its losing game after game after game that gets on my nerves.
So i put the game down. One less killer main now. I was a far better killer than i was surv. Far better killer. By at least ten ranks better. Purple killer. Fake purple survs who belongs in greens
lol

Not everyone has BBQ and the blood points killers get for being matched up with survivors that are 7 or more ranks above them are no where near enough to cover the stress they get put under.
It’s the low rank killers being matched against red ranks that are complaining about matchmaking, if they’re complain then they’re not doing great, therefore, they’re not earning many bloodpoints in the first place.
Rank doesn't mean much right now. They see 4 red ranks, sure, but there's a good chance that they play like green ranks anyways.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I think they need more blood point perks and things to reward you for putting up with all this as killer honestly. It's such a miserable experience you would think they would at least reward you for being bullied for 15+ minutes like 10 games in a row.
Killers already get waaaay more points than survivor. Especially with BBQ.

Dude. Dont talk to me like i dont know how to play this game. I can probably count the amount of times people were FL saved on both hands. Its not even worth mentioning. Todays FL tech and actual FL are not as good as they were at one point. I have been lucky. I always look up in time
But its the trickery aspect and disrespect that gets me so i wont allow it anymore in my games I am hosting the damn thing. If you want to mess around find some other donkey who will let themselves be disrespected and abused like that. Not me
Keep playing on easy mode if you want to ig. It's not how you get better at the game though

pfft...i just send your hide back to the que. Its not like we as killers have to wait long. If you dont ready up then its your fault not mine. You are given a minute. I give you all but 15 seconds of that. Dont like it? Tough #########.
You try facing three with FL without lightborne
I do on a constant basis because I don't dodge queues. You literally just have to look at a wall or make sure nobody is around before the pickup. Even if someone is around, turning 180 and picking them up won't give them time to get in front of you and blind. They are not as big of a deal as you might think.

SWF or Solo, they push for survivors to work together for points, but when speaking to the community they won't balance the game around the survivors working together. It's just easier to say SWF than "survivors working together". It's poor game development. Many enjoy calling them out on it.
SWF is using comms and communicating with your team throughout the game to give a big advantage to the survivors.
Working together to try and save people in solo queue is called being a decent person and using game sense.
Two very different things I'd think. Are you really advocating for me just letting other players die when I have the ability to stop it? Makes no sense.
-
@fleshbox said:
If that is not a bug and now intended behavior then i a defo gone for good. I hate last second switchers.
I spam the ready button when all 4 drop in. Spam it again at 30 seconds. Last chance is 20 seconds. If not ready by then i leave the lobby and they can go back in the que.
This is how you deal with people who attempt to do the last second flashlight attempt. But denying them the chance to do it in the first place.
Try looking at a wall and not dodging queue.

I don't know man. I know there are many things that earn you points for playing as a team. Which is odd, but i'm sure you keep up to date with what dev's say on the forums and in Q&A's. Doesn't make sense to me either.
I could also be waiting for a dev to come in here and confirm you should help other survivors so I can hit them with a "So you will start to look at balancing SWF then, or did you lie to us?"
What does SWF have to do with it? I can flashlight save in solo queue too...

You were going against a sabo squad. They worked each hook to 99%, same as you do with exit gates. A quick tap to complete and your hook is gone!
Why don’t you see it more often? It uses up your toolbox pretty quick, so you can only get a few hooks prepped. If you use the perk, it goes hella slow. But if you have 3-4 players coordinating with toolboxes AND the perks, then they can get every hook primed for immediate destruction!
Not to mention less generator progress in exchange for working on the hooks.

It's not a team game. The dev's said so themself. I'm just preaching what they've said. That's why they won't balance the game around SWF, because it's not meant to be teams. It's do anything in your power so you survivor. That's your objective, for you to survivor.
So is there a particular reason that I shouldn't try to survive AND save my teammate?
Flashlight saves and pallet saves exist in the game for a reason.

Chase wasnt broken because it was very close, it was shack window and I had bloodlust too. I only got blood lust because mind games didnt work at all, but I was baffled by how many times the person used the window. There was a similar bug some time ago. I could see some black material over the window, but not the usual block and I wasn't using bamboozle either and going through different windows. Will see if keeps happening I will record.
3 within chase, however Survivors can vault a 4th time if they immediately vault back after the 3rd vault.

The fact that people are still defending survivors after watching (or not watching) this video boggles my mind.
The game's outcome should be dictated by length of chases, but obviously it is dictated by whether or not people feel like doing gens.
The game isn't meant to be determined by length of chases though. It's determined by pressure overall. Leaving some people on the ground and initiating another chase creates more incentive to leave the generator or end up with a 3v1 or 2v1 very quickly. Pressure isn't solely based on kills.

How many times have you been given hatch? Or allowed to farm when you get a dc? You and I both know that everyone would have escaped without the flashlight save.
Killers are capable of camping and ensuring SOMEONE dies unless they misplay. I'm not going to just let me teammate die if I can attempt to save them with my flashlight.

It's not a team game. The whole idea of survivors going out of their way to save others, and body block to ensure the killer gets absolutly no one blows my mind.
I'm sorry the 4 people who have to work together to complete an objective want to use some teamwork?

Probably a little over the top in regards to the plaza, but a global chat for your region to find SWF would actually be pretty neat to see.

I just got out of a game where the survivor and I pretty much got to the hatch at the same time. I had started the hatch animation and they still jumped into it as I closed it. Glad to see theres no counter play to the hatch if the survivor and killer get there almost same time. Couple years of this broken game and theres still stupid little imbalances like this. Fix the errors your community constantly posts about ffs. Tired of a broken game lol
From my experience, the killer takes priority in closing it in those situations. Maybe it was the ping.

So we should just let one of our teammates die now just so the killer doesn't feel bad? I thought our objective was to survive or something like that.

Recently I have used Dead Hard and Head On on my builds and I have seen people notice it and question me for using them together. I enjoy using Head On because it can save teammates in a chase and even rescue them if you are skilled enough. I also enjoy using Dead Hard because it can help extend chases and is useful if you have a risky playstyle. So I thought... Why not use both? Most exhaustion perks don't work well with Dead Hard because they cause the Exhaustion effect and that effect lasts until you stop running for a long time, this means that you can not use both in a single chase. However, Head On can be used to escape chases and if you escape a chase you can gain your Exhaustion back. This means that you can use Dead Hard if you are injured to prolong a chase or use Head On to escape a chase. Also, when a survivor uses an Exhaustion perk killers don't expect them to have another equipped. This makes it fairly easy to stun the killer with Head On since they won't expect it. Anyways, what do you people think? Can these perks work together?
Any exhaustion perk that isn't Sprintburst could work nicely with others because you're more prepared for any situation. The tradeoff is obviously the meta perks you'd have to trade them out for, but if you're cool with that, then go for it!

Let's nerf half of the damn perks then.
Your logic is ridiculous
Survivors aren't allowed to breathe without going down lest it be OP. Killer's Rulebook, page 42 clause 3a.
-
@Skulldugged said:
I really like Sprint Burst. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's sort of meta right now to run everywhere all the time in order to start gen rushing, so if you run right away to get to a gen fast and you happen to spawn near the killer? Bummer.
I'm not great at looping, so I try to save it to (like you said) discourage a killer from trying to chase in the first place.
Fixated makes it a little more bearable to walk at the start. It's not meta by any means, but it's not half bad. The scratch marks part is also pretty helpful in some cases.
-
People do realize the only perk used as much as old ruin currently is self care, right? You guys really want to nerf self care more? lmao

This is asking for a mori off first hook lol
However, if there isn't a mori, it allows you to turn a losing match into an escape for you friend to get that adept achievement. If you're that paranoid about it, bring plunderers and accomplish the same thing.

Hi, forum friends! I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on a build for me to use, to help maximize chances of my wife escaping?
She is trying to get her 'adept' survivor trophies, so will be limited in what she can do. I am happy to help her, including staying behind and getting sacrificed.
I avoid 'meta' perks because they often only help the individual, or get us tunneled to death. My current build is Leader, Kindred, Botany Knowledge, and Empathy (most focused on finding her when injured, healing quickly, safe unhooks, and speeding up her actions).
Thanks for any ideas you might have!
Have your friend equip a key and you equip a rainbow map and aim for that hatch. BT is very helpful for making sure your friend doesn't die off the hook as well.

Honestly i don't think Hillbilly is that strong. He is no where near OP and i don't even understand why people want him changed. As long as you are good at looping he will just play like a mouse 1 killer. Also you were like " Not every Survivor is a running god with map knowledge over every variation of the maps" yeah that is true but those people are normally low ranks and low ranked people will play against low ranked killers which means the killer won't be that great either so it balances it out. Every killer needs to have their thing. Map mobility, chase potential, and information. However each killer cannot have the best of everything so they even it out. Doc as decent chase potential, no mobility, and good information. While Nurse has Great chase potential, good mobility, and no information. Billy has bad chase potential, Amazing mobility, and no information. I think this is fine, mobility should be his strong point since he isnt good at anything else.
Only really works when he's not crack billy or insta saw billy.

The most frustrating thing in the game as a solo que survivor is when you get paired with a survivor who does nothing all game.
So I propose a new idea (probably wont ever come to light) the afk crow rework instead of staying in a locker or standing for a long period of time. A crows will instantly spawn when a survivor who hasn't done a objective for 180 seconds notifying the killer of their position.
The timer will reset if a survivor do gens (even if its taped), sabotage, getting chase, running for 10 second, saving a survivor, and cleansing a totem. The crow itseld will restet after 20 seconds of doing one of these objectives.
Maybe the timer could slow if the survivor within the killer terror radius and within a hook survivor radius.
What do you think?
That just seems like an unnecessary nerf to stealth. The AFK crow gets the actual AFK people, I don't see the problem.

Honestly, if you're wrecking someone that hard, I don't see the point of adding insult to injury. Last time I played bubba, I was being gen rushed on badham and a guy was being a toxic tool, flashlight clicking, teabagging, and running to the god loop every time I looked at him.
I got a down and the same tool managed to get a flashlight save. I calmly chased the one he saved back down and proceeded to face camp with the saw. Of course someone tried to save and got killed too.
They tried to get salty, but I told them to blame their toxic teammate, because I was playing fair up to that point. Of course flashlights aren't toxic because they're in the game, but face camping is toxic, even though it's in the game too.
If they just do the objective and then leave they'll probably depip lmao. I've had to purposely bully a killer for those extra points that can make a difference in the emblems.
Also, do whatever you gotta do to win. You're not gonna get much points for facecamping, but it's a strat that they can counter.
