I don't know if I'm imaging this, but Dead Dawg seems to have the fewest pallets out of every map in the game. It seems to exist for people who want to play immersed.
I think you just need more time playing against Deathslinger. Huntress is much more dangerous.
It really does feel like Dead Dawg has like 5 pallets and no good loops. That probably explains it.
I'd take a huntress of him any day of the week honestly (provided hitboxes are halfway decent). At any moment Deathslinger can just frame 1 quickscope you and you're donezo. At least Huntress has to wind up lmao.

Did they let you to die? Because I have seen a lot of survivors self caring against legion with thana and sloppy, I wanted to die because of that, also on red ranks.
I got picked up after they were done self-caring and proceeded to finish the last generators, loop Legion during endgame (as they immediately left) and escape.
-
Survivor's difficulty comes from things outside of your control.
It's a 1v4, and no that's not 1 killer vs 4 survivors. It's you vs 1 killer and 3 survivors because some of the stuff your teammates do is just so extremely appalling. I played a red rank game on cronus pren and 2 people were in the main building on separate floors both self caring while I was on the hook and came AFTER I hit second stage AGAINST LEGION SLOPPY BUTCHER.

Imagine defending Freddy's skill requirement in 2020.

In my research, survivors cried more about Nurse and Spirit than killers cried about toolboxes, thus that's why they were getting nerfed faster.
Idk about that one chief

For a full comms SWF...or for someone who can count to 5.
Stop making excuses for being lazy or negligent. I play solo exclusively and I'm far from the best survivor. If I can do it, you can do it.
If I can slug to counter DS, you can do it.

But apparently slugging is toxic/BM according to x amount of survivors.
Let me make another scenario for you.
The exit gates are powered. You have 2 people hooked. Someone with borrowed time unhooks both of them and opens the exit gate. You manage to down them again before they get to the door...but they both have DS.
Where's the counter play to that?
Oh wait...there isn't one. You got outplayed by a skillcheck.
DS needs to be fixed.
Looks like you tunneled. Unfortunate.

Okay, but the problem is that “its job” is too strong. You reacted as if slugging was a counter, but it does nothing.
It is a counter. Slugging creates free pressure. You should be doing it regardless of DS.

When survivors have been inside the exit gates for 10 seconds during end game collapse killers press the active key to auto sacrifice remaining survivors.
Survivors have the current character progress reset to lvl 1 with no items.
With a nice message when entering the bloodweb. "Remember to be kind"
Bad match?

Slugging doesn’t counter DS. 3 other people can sit on gens while the survivor recovers, and then one can tap them and go back to business as usual. Unbreakable also kills slugging. DS wastes time either way.
Then DS did its job.

Sorry, I forgot survivor mains (for the most part) has no sense of empathy towards Killers.
Killer can close it for more points. Survivor can leave through it for more points. Why wouldn't the Survivor look for it if they weren't being forced out and are at a healthy state. If that makes you mad, then you're extremely sensitive and that's something you're going to have to work on as a person. Don't blame Survivors for you getting mad at things you shouldn't get mad at.

"What!!? You aren't feeling great about something on your match? Just don't feel it 4Head!" Isn't exactly what you said, but it's what it seems to imply.
When the result that makes you unhappy is literally your fault, then yes. He could've just pushed the survivor out at the exit gate. Instead, he went to find hatch and the Survivor found it first. But no, it must be that Survivors are so toxic. How could they not wait around for him to find and close the hatch!? Shakes me to my core.

Why not?

@MegaWaffle said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/129916/why-did-i-go-from-rank-3-to-rank-11
Its part of the "Red light, Green light" program BHVR is implementing into the game.
The idea is to halt or stifle the rapid progression of exceptionally talented players (Red light) and push them back further into the ranks so others may learn to improve by having the chance to play with them (Green light).
Rather than view this as a "bug" as some people are considering, I would suggest you take this as a massive compliment and give yourself a major pat on the back!
Keep being awesome champ 👍️
I'd rather this actually be the case tbh. Red ranks is about to get even more saturated and queue times will take even longer with the new rank reset.

I'm not having a fit over a computer game, they're not that important to me. Just things to waste time.
I'm just remaking that it's now customary for this game to bring out simply the worst kind of players.
It's like on Friday 13th when we had those morons exploit a glitch and get on top of the house, or gang up on Jason and all dance about. More 'megaLOLz!'.
I just find it disheartening that this game is being spoilt. But I've gone on about this too much.
It's happening, move on etc.
It sounds exactly like you're having a fit over a computer game.
It's a genuine question. You have the ability to avoid the situation entirely, then proceed to complain about it occurring after you let it happen. Makes no sense.
-
You underplay slugging a lot in this post. Leaving them on the ground creates about as much pressure as hooking them. Someone still needs to come off a generator and go get them. Nobody said you had to leave the vicinity either.
Don't tunnel or alternatively do slug and you'll never see DS in play.
I've had way more games where DS wasn't even used than I do having it get used.

I've had one or two wait at the gate for a complimentary hit today. A lot of them leg it out when you get within swigging range. More 'mega lolz' no doubt.
But they don't have to wait. Their purpose is to run out the gate. It's the confirmed silliness that I find curious.
Once again, I go back to my initial response. "Why do you care exactly?"

I can't speak for everyone ofcourse
What i also noticed from my own gameplay is that the number of crybaby DC's has been reduced drasticly so sorry but for me the change is amazing
Enjoy the luck while it lasts.

Personal experience mostly
In my 800 hourish in dbd i got stuck in a generator once, i got stuck in a pallet maybe 2 times, didn't need to dc for those even
It can happen once a day maybe twice a day if you're unlucky, once you claim 3 times a day i'm going to start raising my eyebrow and wonder if it isn't your hardware not being able to handle the game
Sure it's possible but so is winning the lottery twice in a row
Those odds aren't even remotely comparable.
The bugs are inconsistent, people will get inconsistent results. In your case, 2 a day if you're unlucky. In someone else's case, it can be way more.
-
Why do you care exactly?

That'd be legitimately game-breaking.
Not really. It would actually counter people 99ing sprint burst so maybe there will be more usage out of the different exhaustion perks (I think SB is currently the best, so anything that encourages diversity is a plus).
That's also one less perk slot for a meta perk for a mediocre trade off. Idk why you'd be opposed to this.
-
Nope, you're in the clear.

The 2nd perk I suggested, Enshrine, does add another hook phase for survivors.
As for the Equilibrium suggestion, there is significant counterplay to this one. Either cleanse the hex early so that the effect is minimal, or don’t cleanse hexes at all in late game. The effect can be strong, yes, but the beauty of it is that it all relies on survivor actions!
That just seems like it'll further the divide between solo queue and SWF even more than it already is.

Keypoint being from time to time
Sure they happen once in a while but never so frequently that the dc penalties get to high numbers
Assuming you don't also dc for other reasons ofcourse
Idk how you drew this conclusion. Does the game wait an ample amount of time before serving you your next game-breaking bug now?

Considering how hard it is to GET decent with nurse... Not far off. High skill cealing means that if you're considered good with that character you should do really well. But even a good nurse can't stop survivors, so what hope do other killers have?
Decent does not equal good. Decent is decent.

Everyone will just tryhard in casual mode and Ranked queue would be too long for anyone to bother with it tbh

I think we killers have endured enough. I used to play Friday the 13th all the time, but changed to DBD when I found out I could always be killer when I wanted, not leaving it up to a dice roll. Then, just like with F13th, I realized all the imperfections this game had. Don't let DBD be another Friday the 13th, BHVR, or I WILL move to a newer, more polished, and BALANCED game where my fun will not be limited by the incompetent dev team.
Good luck finding one.

I don't understand how a map and an box are toxic. I can see if they all run flashlights and ignore the objectives just to mess with the killer. Yeah, that's toxic. But not just running a map and a toolbox. That's like calling someone toxic for running a purple or pink addon on killer.
But yes, I've noticed a significant spike in toxicity since the DC penalty, on both sides. Ran 12 kiler matches and had lots of toxic survivors. Ran 7 survivor matches and had nothing but tunnel, camp, slug.
They do it specifically because killers will either have to deal with the worst killer map in the game and the best survivor item in the game or DC and suffer the penalty.

That is probably a large part of it too though yeah.
Idk if only survivors were struggling to get matches, I'd agree with you.
However, red rank survivors AND brown rank killers are struggling to get matches. Both extremes are getting long queues. Not just a lack of killers problem.

I recently heard there was some sort of rollback on windows where the game temporarily miscalculates the survivors distance from the window visually. That's what I suspect it may be.
I've noticed this as well and I'm surprised they didn't address that. I was honestly waiting for that question to be brought up.

At least with the chase music they have to be in range to hear it, and that is whoever is near. Multiple people seeing traps is the difference between blindly running into one or staying vigilant around corners, windows and pallets.
Then again, pig boxes, plague fountains and Freddy clocks exist and you can spawn right next to them too. I don't think it's that big of a deal.

Not if i get the notification that she is winding up and i duck. That is wrong. There is a gap in time by means of the windup and it should be enough for me to get down. Otherwise we are talking about no waiting throwing of hatches.
Dude I don't know what to tell you. Nobody is saying this is right, and they're also working on some solutions atm. For now, you'll have to deal with it. It's a ping and latency thing. They can't control the player's ping. That's up to their internet.

What's interesting is when the hits don't even look like they hit on killer side...this can happen at windows frequently I've seen on YT and it even happens to me on XB1 where we don't even have servers.
I think that's due to the Survivor's high ping communicating with the server too late. I wouldn't know though, just an educated guess.

I don’t get it. Do you think that would be too much of a buff for him? All it does is stop Survivors from knowing the killer right away (which is something they always try to negate if possible, hence why no one has their own unique hooks anymore). Starting with his traps will only save time for him to set up, and at most force survivors away from loops he may try to trap in front of them.
I think giving him all of his traps is too much of a buff. An entire side of the map could become trapped everywhere important too quickly for my taste.
The whole not letting Survivors know the killer right away is kinda getting undone with the introduction of unique chase music though.
Idk. I'm in favor of having him start off with a few traps, but I don't think he should have all of them.
-

This should be possible. She has a windup you can see and hear. So as soon as you hear it i usually crouch and make myself low. If i have urban even better as she is slower while winding up and holding. The notification to duck is there. So why are people still getting hit when the crouch should take priority. Why else have low lying furniture in the game then if it does not work.?
Because killer hits have priority over survivor actions due to latency. Basically, it looks like you haven't crouched yet on the Killer's side. It sucks, but it is what it is for now. They're looking to try and improve the latency though (as with the last PTB), so I'm excited for that.
-
@Skelemania said:
When I tuned in it was a dude in broken English trying to explain why the survivor side of getting hit when they're nowhere close to you made sense. Basically "we know it feels bad, sorry - working as intended."
It's either get hit from far away as Survivor or Killers missing dead on hits. I think they made the right call (even though it pains me to say this as a survivor main). They did say they're experimenting with some ways to lessen the latency gap so that should be exciting.
