It used to be a 4k (and it honestly still should be given all a survivor has to do for their adept is survive). Then they introduced the Emblem system.
-
I have rank stereotypes, but that's about it.
- Red: Uses every iridescent thing as much as possible, meta only, sweatlord has to win every game, throws a tantrum if they lose "No gg because you didn't play the way I wanted you to and give me a free escape/kill"
- Purple: Chill people who play the game quite a bit. They purposefully avoid red ranks because they want to chill but don't depip down to green because they don't wanna just bully other people either.
- Green: Like Red Ranks but bad at the game to boot.
- Yellow: Either potatoes just trying to get by or hardcore tryhards who derank on purpose to bully new players
- White: Poor noobs. Don't even know how to use their m1 yet. Generally nice people and usually grateful for advice though they can get a bit toxic in their frustration at the high learning curve this game has for new people
I don't really pay much mind to where I end up because it's not like it'll change who I get paired with with the current matchmaking, but I try to act like a Purple and occasionally act like a Red when I'm upset.
-
You can't receive any healing when broken so no, they don't work together like that.
-
Daddy Ace has it all. The best fashion, the quietest sounds, and the most charming smile. There's a reason I play this confident boi. (Not to mention that his Benedict Baker entry basically states he seems to be having a blast in the Entities realm and I ######### love that)
-
I don't know if you watch Otzdarva at all, but thanks to him I now know that if you use Play With Your Food and down the obsession with your chainsaw, it qualifies as a chase end. This means you get the stack you lost for sawing them down back as if you'd let them go in a chase. Combine that with that ghostface perk, Furtive Chase, and you're now the fastest Obession Hunting Saw boi in the west.

With evony mori you can do 3k with every killer if you are more than 5 years old, have a finger and an eye. This last one is not neccesary with good headphones.
You gotta be the best 1 eyed, 1 fingered 6 year old in the game if you can simultaneously move and swing often enough to down someone so you can make them moriable. That's skill right there.

I think you did not read it right, the question is "Are you good with certain killers by design" not "Ebony moris make you good as every killer"
I read it more as "Are you good at killers based on some weird arbitrary linking factor"
Like OP is good at hooded killers: Legion and Ghostface. The only thing linking them is the fact that they both like hoodies
I'm good at killers who can tbag: Pig, Ghostface, and Nea.
-
I'm pretty solid with killers who can tbag. That's about 3
-
All I want from No Mither is for it to have bonus BP for being injured all game. And I'm talking WGLF style Bonus BP. Not something that be capped off like Prove Thyself, but something that actually provides a post game benefit.
(I also want them to turn down/turn off injured music for No Mither because I know I'm injured dangit.

@Ark_the_Bonsai Lightweight works vs bad killers,
spine chill works on every killer but if youre aware of surrounding you dont need it,
ofc perks dont need to be gamechanging to works (well im small game gamer and im using plunderers)
and about IW being good vs other killers, yes (if its nurse on good map, or spirit) vs other killers it wont work unless they are bad xd well most killers in this game are bad (so i guess thats why IW works)
Oh, and on the Small Game/Plunderer's bit. Same. One of my favorite builds is a full item farm build. If you check enough boxes you have a solution for every problem eventually. Except Franklins but hey.

Spine Chill: Sure, you don't need it if you're aware of your surroundings on a an open map, but on one where a lot of the gens are surrounded by LOS blockers it's a godsend. When you hear the heartbeat you don't have to drop your gen and go see if the killer is just chasing someone nearby. You will know when they're coming for your gen. Also, if you're close to completeing a gen and they come directly for you, you will complete that gen. It gives you a speed boost to make the risk of staying on the gen worth it.
Lightweight: It's only bad against good killers if you're a bad survivor. Less time with scratchmarks means a lot when it comes to quickly traversing the map and then rapidly losing the killer if they see your scratchmarks and beeline. Sure, it's not Adrenawin, but it doesn't need to be to see results. You ever ran up to where a hook is about to take place but get caught because of your scratchmarks still being there an eternity later? Not anymore. Ever go to hide but the killer knows you're in the area despite the fact that you haven't ran in ages? Not anymore.
Iron Will: It's a stealth perk. You use it to hide. It should be good against literally anyone if you're using it the way you should be using it. If you're a looper that doesn't even know the crouch button exists, then you're right. Iron Will is useless against anyone but Nurse and Spirit, otherwise it's still an amazing perk.
I personally like to balance looping and stealth. I like to run a killer for a bit and then, and this is going to sound crazy in this day and age, lose them. All of these perks help with that to some extent. I know it's abnormal to imagine losing a killer nowadays since everyone assumes the only two ways to play are loop until you go down or Claude-in-a-Bush™. This is honestly a big part of the reason people go down so much against Nurse and Spirit. They genuinely think their only option is to run until they go down or the killer leaves them alone despite all the tools in the game to lose a killer mid chase.

That still isn’t a good idea because then a huge backlash would start. Rewards for facing swf would be best.
I mentioned it a while back but I'd really like BP rewards for every person whose above you in rank. If you play as a rank 15 surv against a rank 8 killer you'd get a percentage of bonus bp for every rank above you the killer is and if you're a killer that gets a rank 1 surv abusing the system while rank 20, you're now rolling in the BPs.
Something similar for swf on its own would be pretty awesome too. Like a small percentage of bonus bp for the killer any time they vs swf

I don't know where they advertised it like that, I haven't seen it
In the Featured page of the store it simply says Slash Enthusiast
It was their social media and the News tab in game. Same way they do all the skin advertisements. I don't blame you for missing it honestly. It woulda gone under my radar if I wasn't too busy laughing at how the stealth killer got the shiniest outfit in the game (Don't get me wrong, I love the outfit but still)

Oh yeah
I never noticed it was called Legacy Collection, sorry about that
To be fair, it is advertised only as Slash Enthusiast, I had to open the store to check it was called Legacy somewhere and I finally found it
When they first advertised it's release they called it legacy everywhere. The reason being that the mask was a celebration mask made by Funworld to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the mask. It's celebrating the Legacy of Ghostface.
-
I haven't read through the comments yet, so sorry if this has been addressed already:
Leatherface is considered low tier because he:
- Lacks mobility/map pressure/presence. This is a requirement for a high tier killer. You need to either be able to be all over the map rapidly or be able to turn half the map into a dead zone. Other non mobility killers tend to make up for this through traps(Reverse or otherwise) or the ability to hit people far away(Sometimes both, looking at you Hag).
- He's an insta down focused killer with nothing to help insure his insta down. First he has to charge it, letting survivors know that he's about to one shot them, then he has to avoid obstacles entirely while going for the attack (if he hugs a loop too tight, power lost and killer stunned). Most other insta down killers have some way to help them achieve the insta down. Primarily stealth. Myers has a tiny TR, Ghostface has no TR. Brother Billy has mobility to make up for the same weaknesses LF has.
You'll notice that he's not the only one that's low tier because he's honestly on the upper end of low tier due to his insta down.
- Wraith: Has to "BING BONG I'M HERE I'M HERE" before attacking people and they took away his baseline map pressure when they gave him that, mostly useless, speed boost after uncloak (To be fair, the community wouldn't leave them alone about it but it didn't help him. Spirit will always be the better Wraith)
- Clown: Can do everything doctor can minus the tracking and stopping people at pallets and windows! Oh and he has to reload! Oh and he's the loudest killer in the game so he's incredibly hard to mind game with! Oh and the Freddy rework is just a better version of him!
- Legion: Plague does it better and more consistently
Notice that none of the above have an insta down and basically don't have powers. Clown is easy to avoid by looping because of how his gas works, Wraith is easy to avoid by looping because he gives you a thousand warnings before he can hit you, Legion is just Plague but without any range and with a discount Infectious Fright built in.
Bubba's saw can help you mind game pallets and camp like a god. So... At least he has something going for him.

Iron Will has always been a solid perk. Fact is Spirit can still run Stridor and negate it entirely.
They have changed a lot of perks to function against one specific killer, like slippery meat, small game and calm spirit.
One thing you'll notice about all of them is that almost nobody runs them and the meta is the same as ever, because bringing a perk that has a 90% chance to do nothing is stupid.
I will agree that, excluding Iron Will which I think is good against anyone but Doc (cause it doesn't stop screaming) most of the "What killer am I gonna vs?!" perks are garbage. I'm with the OP that survs should think about who they're gonna face but perks should do well against a portion of the cast, not *one and only one killer*. I should be thinking *incase i get one of these 6*. Not *in case I get doctor and only doctor, and no one else*

@Bravo0413 "that's quite the difference in examples........." well fixated/LW/spine chill are as usefull vs other killers as franklin vs only chest items xd
as i told DWM works 1 time, IW doesnt work if killer is good xd (but if we take "killer is bad" then we just dont need perks) because good killer wont lose you because he can see you (only case is spirit losing you from her sight)
and about " in which case while injured you're supposed to feel more threatened... you can waste a lot of spirits time while full health state" well youre supposed to feel more threatened but not to have huge "X marks the spot" on your head for spirit, there is a reason why Scott made "Ultimate spirit guide" in which in 12sec he shows how to buy headset ... and tbh i fully agree with that, headset = win as spirit, why? because you get 1st hit on surv and then its impossible to misstrack survs unless they have guess what IW xd especially now when every new surv is louder than prev one xd (ash, jane, jeff they are loud af)
I can't say anything on fixated as I don't use it yet, obviously, but Lightweight and Spine Chill are good against every killer. Something doesn't have to be a hard, nigh impossible to avoid, counter to a killer to be useful. The amount of times I've dodged a nurse (or any killer really) because Spine Chill told me they were on the way is incredibly high. Lightweight is wonderful for giving killers the slip on longer loops. 3 seconds doesn't sound like much but it basically puts the the trail right on top of you. This can make it easier for some killers to track when nearby but when you gain ground it makes vanishing easier when you stop and walk. Fixated will probably help that (Though I see most people using it to learn how scratch marks work rather than to keep as a regular perk)
Edit: I accidentally put "I don't use it much" for fixated, making it seem like I was a time traveler
-
I'm just gonna quietly note that all these posts about needing Iron Will to vs spirit are silly. I've stomped her with and without it, it's all about knowing how to run and bait her. You want her power on cooldown as much as possible. Tricking her into using it and then losing you for a few seconds turns her into a basic ######### M1 killer with Huntress movement speed.
Only time she genuinely feels unfair is when she's running prayer beads (and, occasionally, that bleeding addon. That damn thing is so underrated by spirit players despite the fact that it ensures you never lose a surv that's injured, ever)
-
Not quite on theme, but I really want a Mascot killer. Kinda like the Bunny Man from that one urban legend. Someone dressed up in a shoddy, filthy mascot costume like you'd see at a fair but slaughtering people with an axe rather than making kids laugh.

Which is good. You shouldn't be able to pay for an easier game

Agh, thank you. I was genuinely hoping there was an answer like "Killer in this situation, surv in this situation" so I could have a consistent idea of what could happen. Sadly with latency it'll always be a coin toss
-
My issue is that it's a game you have to buy. Not only that, but a game with DLC. Adding a battlepass when most of the content is already locked behind a paywall seems scummy to me.
Thankfully it just seems to be cosmetics though, meaning the only paywall I have to care about is the paywall for teachables.

@malloymk Yesterday I was doing a Spirit ritual (I never play her) and I could hear exactly where the survivor was grunting while I was phasing.
Not saying I’m a Spirit expert but if I can hear it that clear, I can’t imagine some killers not having an extremely good advantage... and most of all with a character that you can only half way predict where she is coming from.
The issue people are complaining about here is the chase music which isn't active when you're phasing.

I just do push ups and sit-ups because I can do them right in my room while I'm waiting. It's just something you can just go and do with no equipment or anything. I'll probably haul my mother's old exercise bike into my room so I can use that as well.
Occasionally I use dumb bells too, though I'm trying to lose weight and strengthen my back so I can walk like a normal human being again, as opposed to gaining muscle and bulking up, so I don't use the dumb bells very often.
As for motivations, it depends how badly you want it and why, I guess? For me, not being able to walk like a normal person and needing to take rests every 15 minutes (used to be 5 minutes before I started) sucked really bad. The not being able to walk like a normal human-being started making me pretty fat too because to probably nobody's surprise, literally sitting on your ass all day, everyday, and never leaving the house at all is not good for your health or body. My blood pressure was starting to get pretty high as well. Reaching up to 140/100 blood pressure at 15, while not life threatening, is pretty bad.
Anyway, some things I like to keep in mind is to remember that it's not a race. That you should take everything in moderation (just like this game -- seriously). It's a lifestyle change and us humans often don't like "change" very often. We like "normal". Eventually, the change starts becoming the new "normal", so the more you do it, the easier it will become as the change falls into a habitual routine; but don't bullrush straight into it at first or you'll quickly get overwhelmed.
When I first started, after my first walk, it was absolute hell and I was thinking "I'm not going to be able to do that again." Did it anyway. 3 months later, I look forward to doing it. It's not so bad anymore. What was once so miserable and hard to do has become much easier and enjoyable to do, now.
Doing the push-ups/sit-ups while waiting as a killer in lobbies is actually the first thing I did to start, since it melds exercise with fun and turns any negative energy I have from bad games into something positive. It's helped me be less of a shithead in game as well.
Getting encouragement from others and my family has helped me immensely to stay on track and not slack off. Don't be afraid or embarrassed to ask for support. There's nothing shameful in asking for help with something.
Either way, I don't know what the "professional" way to exercise is. I just did what felt right to me. Push/Sit-ups when waiting for DBD lobbies, and walking/jogging every other day for at least half an hour has caused me to lose over 20 pounds and triple how long I can endure my own weight on my spine -- so I must be doing something right at least (I didn't even change what or how much I eat). If there's a physical activity you like, whether it by cycling, swimming, or whatever (for me, it IS walking), I highly encourage you to do that as your main activity if possible. Doing an activity you actually enjoy makes it so much easier to manage, much like going to work at a job you hate versus going to work at a job you love.
Apologies for this post being so long, but I couldn't think of any good ways to summarize what I wanted to say.
Don't worry about how long your post was, it was a worthwhile read. Besides, I'm not exactly great at summarizing myself. Tend to write out full, bullet pointed essays for forum posts about something silly and you were writing about something important to you.
I read every bit of it and, I'm assuming for the things like swimming and what not you're referring to something to do daily and when not playing (mostly because I can't think of a way to simultaneously keep an eye on a lobby and swim/bike)
Personally I think I'm going to start with Crunches/Stationary Jogging. My biggest issue is my core and my lungs (legs arms and back muscles are mostly fine. I used to do a a lot of heavy lifting). I'll keep in mind not going overboard while maintaining a schedule. I have the support part mostly covered given this is me trying to keep up with someone else more than anything.
Thank you! ^-^

That'd be nice. Maybe make them spawn a max of 5 collectively(or maybe just one per unowned killer can be active at a time) before removing them from the lists until you've used one/prestiged.
-
Well, it's making old player grind easier. Not really helping new players which is the focus
-
This is why I think it's silly that they're only changing the later bloodweb levels. They should at the very least start dropping double perks immediately in the bloodweb as well. New players take upwards to a year to get anything done if they want to play more than one or two characters with all perks. (I know from experience.) It's especially bad for killers because at least with survivors you only really need to level one once you get the teachables (which take way too long to get btw. I've been playing for way too long to have only just gotten all the teachables this year)

Recently, I started doing push-ups/sit-ups/whatever else when waiting as Killer.
Turns the gaming into a sort of healthy activity. Also a good way to help let off some steam, especially if your previous match was a bad one.
The problem is when the waiting periods go into the 20/30 minute zones and you get matches that last not even five minutes. At that point I'm doing more working out then playing...
I've been considering doing this because I need to get fit anyway for some things me and my partner intend to do. (Huge 3 day hikes, lots of gymnastics stuff to help with her career goals, etc.)
Any tips/advice on how to find the motivation to actually keep doing it or like an order to do exercises in?

Can you tell me how can I "adapt" since I'm a bad survivor?
I also used to play nurse (mostly with no addons) then stopped when there was no challenge. I got 4K's almost every match.
I mean, to be fair I do fairly fine against her as a surv. It's actually much more thrilling and fun to be in a chase with a nurse than it is to be in one with a chase with someone I can just run in a circle to counter. (unless she's running omegablink addons. Thank god they're changing her addons)
The biggest issue with her is that reliably facing her is map dependent. If you want to survive her you need a map with a lot of LOS blockers and you need to know your surroundings. Though to be fair, for literally every killer that's not her or spirit, Maps are a huge deciding factor on how strong that killer will be. Most maps are stronger for the survivors than for the killers but the maps that are normally stronger for survs are their weakness when they play against Nurse because she'll almost always have a permanent view of them (which is the best thing a surv can have on a normal killer if you intend to loop them)
Of course that's just covering chase and escape potential. Never being found by her is still the best thing you can do and she's the easiest to hide from because of her movement speed.
She is impossible to avoid if she just camps though, kinda like a Leatherface.

@Peanits When you get back from your weekend, here's something you could forward to the design team.
There's a large consensus within the community, at least with the killers, that the chase music is waaay too loud. Sound is such an important tool for killers and getting deafened everytime you enter a chase contradicts this fact.
I sincerely despise the chase music on both sides. I can't use my ears to dictate killer location as surv any better than I can to dictate survivor location as killer. It's ridiculous.
New Demogorgon main inbound partially just because his chase music is good for both sides

Map pressure is a big deal it's what makes the big 3 so good not to mention his power which either makes him clown so he ends chases easier or makes survivors think an unsafe loop is a safe one
That first part 1000x. You want a good killer, give them map pressure. Anyone who can only ever move at base speed to get around the map will always be locked at mid tier. Maybe upper mid tier in a few cases, but mid none-the-less. That's why Demogorgon is getting such high praise despite being as basic a killer as you can get, he has really good travel time through portals and the pounce goes so far it's kinda funny.
