    My wait times were fine.

On both sides? I know you're a surv main that plays both from previous posts

  • Change Prayer beads or, at the very least, remove collision when she's using them. (Removing collision in her phase at all times would work as well. I've never met a good spirit that relies on collision in phase)

Other than that she's fine, you just have to run her a little different from every killer. IE: actually try to escape and lose the chase rather than try to one structure.(Which is good IMO, I like having to do something other than run in circles to escape a killer)

  • While I wouldn't mind a Hex that was done well, the only two we have that weren't poorly designed were Haunted Grounds and Devour Hope. And one of those is basically there to make the other Hexes safer.

Thrill is okay, but it shouldn't be a Hex on it's own. Noed is only a hex because they couldn't come up with a different way to balance it (it's in the healthiest spot it's ever been in but it could be better). Third Seal is a joke. Ruin is... A joke that is sometimes passable as a perk when you get lucky.

  • On the killer end yes. I participated a lot the first day and less and less as it went on because I could only play survivor without waiting for about 3 games worth of time to get a match.

  • So far the only thing I think needs a slight nerf on him is the Swing Chains Dying Light combo.

You can't do gens at that point and using your clock doesn't keep you awake long enough for you to progress if he's good at pressuring the map

  • I'd dig cig cosmetics for different survs. I can only see a certain few actually smoking, but it'd still be cool

  • Personally I'm fine with the current state of portals. They're extremely strong when used properly and being able to lock down the map with them would be a bit too easy with cycling traps

I wouldn't be too opposed to being able to destroy portals as InfinyMage suggested though. Then there would be a time investment involved.

    @InfinyMage said:

I agree that how it currently is set, his portals are a little underwhelming.

Id much prefer if he could destroy them than if he could just cycle through them. That way theres counter play. If you placed a bad portal or one that no longer has any use, Demo should have to walk/traverse the upside down to destroy it.

In its current state i wouldnt really play Demo for any other reason than unlocking the teachable perks. His shred is cool and all but I enjoy the portal play much more than another lunge/pounce ability.

Also, seeing someone other than @DudeDelicious with a Plague avatar is strange to me. It's like seeing a unicorn.

  • I'd like an option for "Map Fixes" because i genuinely think that's the reason for most of the imbalance in this game.

  • I'd just follow the spirit around to jam out if it was this tbh.

I'd definitely love different chase music for every killer, partially because the two we have with unique music can actually hear (and be heard) by survivors in chase because it's not deafening, it adds to the chase rather than overwhelming it. Your idea is an awesome example of that same idea: Music that enhances the chase, not music that causes sensory overload

  • This would make a nice change to Vigil. I hate that they left that perk as is when they changed exhaustion.

This will sound rude, but if you unironically think old Freddy was better than the new one, none of your opinions should ever be taken seriously.

You're right, it does sound rude. It also sounds like you didn't read, because I never said old Freddy was better than new Freddy. As a matter of fact, my only mention of Freddy was to say that he is a better version of Clown now. Accentuating the fact that Clown is literally trash tier.

  • I play them for the portals, I don't know what low tier killers you're talking about that aren't super into free mobility

For a killer to be strong they have to have 2 things:

    1. Mobility (Note, this can be made up for to an extent by having a strong defense. That's why killers like Hag and Trapper aren't trash)
    2. Chase potential

Demo has both and a good version of both at that. He can travel rapidly and down people just as fast.

A counter example would be Clown who moves at base speed and has pretty much no chase potential because his gas can just be ignored most of the time. (With the Freddy rework, he's just a weaker version of the Dream Demon)

A mid tier has one or the other. Old wraith had crazy mobility, but no chase potential (now he has neither without addons IMO), Huntress has incredible chase potential but no mobility.

    • 25% tunneled, camped, and moried because "Only I get points god damn it"-the killer.
    • 25% waiting in a killer lobby for 16 years because I'm sick of being tunneled, camped, and moried only to remember that the reason I was playing survivor was because I couldn't get a killer game.
    • 25% actually getting into a killer game and having 3 gens pop in what feels like a minute because half the team has BNPs and the other half has insta heals and everyone dragged me to x,y,z map to abuse x,y,z loop with balanced.
    • 25% actually fun games on either side

    • 10000% toxic, racist, or otherwise just not okay end game chats

    • 100% grateful for the extra points that have come out of it though. Means that I make the amount I'd normally make in a play session despite breaking down and quitting much sooner than normal due to the community's inability to see each other as human beings ever
  • I mean, to be fair, I somehow magically get worse at the game any time I bring a mori. It's like a guarantee that I lose, they're bad luck I tells ya.

  • ^ yes please, this. Not many people who like to slowly degrade their gaming equipment by button mashing.

  • I like it overall, though a few notes.

The cooldown before he's allowed to attack is definitely needed but he shouldn't also be both slowed and have a power gauge. tbh, I don't think he really needs either with the stun but he definitely doesn't need both (If I were to choose, I'd let him move at normal speed but keep the gauge)

Inevitable End is a bit much, but only because paired with noed it would literally be unbeatable. If you stack a killer speed boost on a survivor speed penalty it's already gonna be ridiculously powerful. I'd recommend just keeping the switch block (because I ######### love the idea of blocking the exit switch. Imagine the switch is blocked, then they break the totem, then Remember Me kicks in, then blood warden kicks in. You're not leaving my game damn it)

Everything else is pretty damn good IMO. He himself would be an average tier killer that would excel on small, tight, and/or indoor oriented maps.

I especially like Tolling Bell and the Mark of Death (Well, I specifically like the idea of combining the mark with Blood Warden)

  • I don't know about other people but for me personally it's because I try to play whatever killer I have a daily for and I haven't had him in a while

  • When I see a Legacy in the same Lobby as me, I assume we're all gonna get moried. I have yet to be wrong.

When I see them in my lobby while playing killer, I think "Well, they'll be easier to find which usually means harder to chase and a bit cocky."

When I see a killer with Legacy once I get into a match, I either expect to get dominated or get memed on.

I'm glad they exist though. If the grind is bad now, I can't imagine what kind of fresh hell the early days were for grinding and then prestiging . (I came in a handful of months prior to pig. Not sure how many. Just knew i was excited to learn about her.)

  • Pennywise and any other eldritch horror. If something is a god, it shouldn't be possible for the Entity to turn it into one of it's overgrown fleshy chew toys. If you don't think Cthulhu would fit then Penny wouldn't either. Simple as that.

  • I'd love unique chase music for everyone, if only because I can hear more than "DKGLAHGOAHLDKKGA;LDJ;GLKAJL;JL: the musical" blasting in my ears when I play as or against Demo.

I have a special brand of hate for the current, ridiculously loud chase music on most killers.

  • I had to face that earlier and I honestly wanted to give up lol. The only person who could even handle a gen was the Obsession and they ended up being pretty much useless (which didn't help matters). I got out thanks to hatch (and the fact that matchmaking was busted in my favor for once).

  • @LCGaster said:

Am I the only one who forgets that the Shrine exists?

I forget too lol. The shrine change made it kind of a waste

As for the memes, DS isn't really all that triggering nowadays except for when you down 2 other people, hook them, and then still manage to get dsed by the player who got unhooked prior to both of those hooks because the timer is a minute long you somehow got them just before it ran out

  • Agreed. That ping doesn't help me at all. I could always just run a map and check it any time I get points for better results.

  • @FireHazard said:

It's been the same for 3 years so I doubt it'll ever been changed.

Hatch was changed after 3 years. Don't shoot the idea down when it's perfectly healthy.

  • Yes. I'd much rather a survivor who chooses to play with a high rank be faced against high ranks than a killer be forced to play against high ranks through no fault of their own.

Besides, now the matchmaking for killers at high ranks will be better because all the red rank survs will actually be playing at their correct rank. (Yes, I'm aware this also means that low rank games will lose some survs but honestly that's fine by me. I rarely have ridiculous killer lobby times pre purple ranks)

  • @Danielgdp3 said:

    I don't get it?

They posted a picture of a match where they got someone a few ranks above them.

Rank 5s and 2s are in the same matchmaking range

  • I have yet to experience any specialized hate when playing as any of the new dlc characters (outside of the odd weirdo who thinks either A: Demo is OP or B: Demo is UP)

Only survivor I see generally mistreated by their fellows is Quentin for... Reasons?

  • @Mr_K said:

I feel Nurse blinking through a pallet should break it as well.

I agree, if only because I like the idea of free points any time I blink through a pallet

  • For Survivor: Ace. He's the only survivor who is happy to be in the Trials.

There's a handful of killers like that, but no other survivors.

Killer is a tougher question as they're all pretty good. I really like that Mikey just walked in like he owned the place. I also love how super chill Ghostface is.

From a good story perspective I'd say it's the "Did nothing wrong club" Spirit, Wraith, Huntress, Hag, Plague, etc. The killers who were hurt more than they harmed, excluding Huntress who literally couldn't comprehend empathy due to how feral she was from living alone in the forest after watching her mother die a slow brutal death.

    Pennywise.

    "WE alLLrdeaDDDYYY havVVvvEEEeee a CClllOOOwwwwNNNNN,,,rreeeEEEEeEE"

Yeah I know, but we also already had a guy with a chainsaw - yet Leatherface was introduced.

I think Pennywise would be awesome. Who else do you guys/gals think should be invited to the roster?

I just wanna note that nobody is saying no to Penny because of him being a Clown. Penny isn't a Clown. Penny is an eldritch god, just like the Entity. That's why it'd be a bad fit.

Now, as for what I want: Something Origional so I can use all the shards I've saved up from the past 2 licensed killers. Preferably a new trap style killer, though I have no idea how they'd make a new trap oriented thing unless it was someone who could specifically trap vaults, or gens. (or maybe make mimic pallets/gens with a hard to notice tell that explode. I dunno, I want another prep oriented killer again)

  • Auric cells. I got some back when the store first released to get an Ace outfit I never ended up actually wearing because I earned the New Year's skin. I also used some to get a Ghostface outfit because I was excited for his release only to find that his Prestige looked much better.

    So yeah. Auric cells.

Sorry But I don't find this on Google translate, neither on urban dictionary.

    What do you mean?

They're trying to say that they're all "crutch" perks. IE perks that some people think give you a free win without effort.

While I do think Instas (like Moris) are a bit busted in their current state, both Decisive and Borrowed have been changed and aren't even close to being crutch perks at the moment (though Decisive does last a little too long given you can down and hook two people and still risk a decisive if you find the person after all that time)

  • Here lately Demodaddy. He's a lot of fun (Build is Cruel Confinement, Pop, Agitation, Ruin)

My top 3 regular non Demo though are Trapper, Pig, and Hag

  • @ReikoMori said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/89912/adept-achievements

You couldn't cheese adept with mori. It has always been based on double pipping as killer. The issue is that when they changed the victory cube to the emblem system and then started upping the requirements for killers to pip the adepts became much much harder to get.

Getting a double pip as killer requires more than just 4k. You need to also get pretty much iri status in every emblem to double pip. Problem is that requires survivors to not rush through the game, not be total potatoes and die super easy, and for you to get 10+ hooks, 27+ hits, have many short chases that you win, and protect all 5 gens for at least the first 9mins of the game as that time is weighted much heavier than the rest of the game time.

So if you want to do adept hunting you need to be very good yourself and your survivors be decent good without being big dirty gen rushers. Good luck with that. Survivors just need to run their 3 perks and survive. It requires no help from the killer so I don't think its worth the extra stress.

Are you sure that on the victory cube you couldn't use moris to get your achieve? I'm asking because I distinctly remember getting my hag adept with an ebony back then.

Pennywise revolves around fear he takes the shape of whatever the person he's targeting fears.

So i imagine Pennywise would be a shape shifter with different forms he could take depending on the situation or could appear to be a different killer to trick survivors.

While I don't think Pennywise would fit due to him being just as powerful, if not more powerful than the Entity, I do think a killer based on your fears would be rad

    Have the game keep track of what killer you die to the most and Pennywise's power could be to transform into the killer that kills the survivor he's looking at the most (with a return to clown form after a while}

I know, the descriptions and text in game features it, so my only guess is that no foul language is a stipulation of the forum host?

Huh. That's entirely possible. I could easily see a site host having rules that BHVR has to follow strictly. It'd be similar to how they'd handle a license.

Can understand that, no filter in the game where people can say and text what they like, it looks just strange on a forum, as long as it's not racist comments and all that stuff.

Yeah. I'm against forced filters and censorship no matter the situation. I'd greatly prefer more user customization on the forums as well (a choice on the profanity filter, something like permanent mark down for idiots like me who can't remember it (IE, setting a text color for you to automatically use when you type), customized pfps(though I think this one is just a safety one to make sure no one sneaks something in), etc.

  • My main confusion is why it matters on the forums but there's no profanity filter in the game (though, tbh. I wouldn't mind an optional profanity filter in the game. I'd keep it off all the time, but I've never seen someone complain about them in a game where it's optional)

  • The Last of Us is just old school Leader and Prove Thyself combined but better . Might wanna change it a bit

    Disagree.

I’ve been dominating as Freddy running Tinkerer, Bitter Murmur, Cruel Limits, and NOED.

It’s a great build on him because of the gen teleport

Cruel Confinement (I REFUSE TO CALL IT BY IT'S NEW NAME, CRUEL CONFINEMENT FOREVERRRRRRR) is so damn good. It's situational unless you do a build like yours to focus on it, but the amount of downs I've gotten because I purposefully ignored a nigh complete gen mid chase is insane. Suddenly my target has no where to go and all that's left is to come back for the fella who made it all possible.

  • BBQ is a must. Why would I ever want less bloodpoints in a game that's already obsessed with punishing me for playing it half the time?

  • @TragicSolitude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/695599#Comment_695599

Yeah, if you're running Iron Maiden against Inner Strength, all it does is counter peace and quiet. No survivor is gonna fear getting into a locker because of Iron Maiden.

What do you mean? I'm terrified of a whole 15 seconds of exposed. I mean how will I ever avoid a killer for 15 entire seconds? That's obviously impossible. /s

God I hate a lot of the arbitrary limitations put on perks to stop them from being "OP" that just make them garbage tier

  • Agreed.

Though, to be fair, I'm biased in wanting it removed from most perks that have it. The only excuses I really see for keeping it around are:

    • STBFL not affecting powers to prevent Certain killers (Billy, Demo, Huntress) from being able to use their power like a machine gun
    • NOED not affecting hatchets (because it's fine to have insta downs all game with an addon but not at the end game with a destroyable perk)

It's silly to make a bunch of killers lose utility on their power because one power is a bit much with a perk.

And this isn't even one of those cases. There isn't a single power in the game where it'd be broken if it counted for Surge. This is just Infectious Fright all over again.

  • I was having this just now and I tried switching from invisible to online on steam and it worked (I like to be invisible when I'm playing games alone so I don't get invitations. Not really a socialite, but some people are and can't get the hint after the first time I ignore the popup)

Correlation doesn't mean causation, I just wanted to post this in case it helped someone else.

Blindness, all it does it make SWF even stronger and it destroys solos. :(

It should just remove all HUD and UI related icons in my opinion.

To be honest, I don't tend to get to destroyed by blindness in and of itself. I can usually read one of those notification bubbles really well and once I'm in the area I'm fairly good at tracking my slugged teammates(so long as they don't crawl to the ends of the earth) because, tbh, the only use Blindness has is on a Slug build (or a very hectic Lery's game where finding the hook is gonna be a hell)

I would prefer your idea though, a missing hud (maybe including notif bubbles) would mess with me far more than some aura reading that honestly doesn't feel necessary to find people or things in the first place

As for my least favorite status to be effected by... Deep Wound and, to a lesser extent, Madness. They waste a lot of my time, especially when applied regularly. Of course those are both killer specific.

My least favorite that can be applied by any killer is probably Hindered. There's something especially frustrating about a well timed fast vault becoming a slow vault. It's good this status exists though.

Does not matter - so basicly it's on to die if you have a lag spike because of low end PC for instance?

right now you die of a lag spike either way. I'd rather die to a lag spike while hitting skill checks every so often than die to a lag spike while also breaking my space bar

    ”Who is Ozzy Osbourne?”

On Missy though, isn't she still popular? I still hear about her quite often. Nothing interesting, just reference to her existence really

  • You're correct for the killer's first lobby, the thing the OP is complaining about is something that can't really be fixed. If all 4 survs load in and then all 4 leave the game just tries to fill the lobby Old School Style. Basically it doesn't go "Oh, 4 are gone, I can just grab another batch of 4." it goes "Oh, someone is missing, let me fill that slot." x 4.

Even if they made it so that it could recognize a completely emptied lobby in the same way as when it's creating them it still wouldn't fix say, 3 people leaving and then it trying to stagger in those spots.
