Perhaps, but my new PWYF concept is sort of like semi-permanent bloodlust, so...

  • What if when the stamina bar ran out, instead of walking, you ran at like 85-90% speed?

I'd say it doesn't fit with the lore, but we have Bill (well, some of us) so I guess that's okay. We can't have a mindless killer, though, as the Entity wouldn't be interested in that. Birkin's the only BOW that it might be interested in, and even that's a stretch. Maybe Chief Irons? He's a pretty sick bastard.

Mr X (The Tyrant) is a programmable BOW though. The entity can control him.

  • Absolutely not. Let my tell you why.
There are 54 killer perks. Not bad right? Yeah, no. There's tiers.
That means there's technically 162 perks. That's 162 bloodwebs. It already costs multiple millions of bloodpoints to max out perks on a character. Putting ultra rare perks back in would increase the cost of ALL of this.
    Absolutely not.

This game is zero fun when someone is using Doctor on PS4... it lags down to like 10 FPS the entire match... Is that why you choose doctor? I see matches where the lag screws killer and survivor over equally, so its pointless and unfun.

I've played a fair amount of Doctor on PS4, and the FPS is fine. If you think it's actually that bad, you should see how Xbox runs it.

Love the feeling of playing Killer. The feeling you get when you destroy swf groups and teabaggers like OMG. Destroyed a group today, all wearing no mither, all alex toolboxes, the sabotage add-ons and jake perk. Instead of raging and RQ, I couldn't get a hook so no bother even trying so I decided to beat them down to the ground to death and I would watch them get back up so I could beat them down again. Best thing that happened was when they all died and the game ended. I got nothing but GG and we were all laughing about how silly the match was and even made 4 more friends XD. Even if its not a swf group. I like the feeling of being powerful.

    Wack.

The recurring posts that ALWAYS end up on the top of the forums and shooting down actually good posts are the ones I just hate. "BLAH BLAH CAMPING/TUNNELING BAD" or "UH THIS GAME SUCKS BECAUSE XYZ".

On consoles, when people are toxic, they have to DM you, so they can't get punished by BHVR for poor sportsmanship. It would contain the toxicity, and keep it in context. This really needs to be added.

Be glad, this way you can rely on sony/microsoft that actually bann for toxicity, BHVR wont give a damn

I do not care. It gets way more personal since the chats are just DMs. Having an in game chat would reduce and contain the toxic people.

    Trust me, it doesnt work.
Players will just use all means of communication to insult you, we have experienced this on steam already and DBD has been the only game why I had to turn off profile comments, its just pathetic.....

Yeah? So adding the chat for consoles would make it so the only messages are the ones being sent in game. The messages would also be under scrutiny of the other players, so people would consciously think about what they're going to say.

As I said, they would just insult you BOTH ingame AND via DM. Doesnt change anything

I disagree. Why would they DM you if they have the chat?

It's there in case you've done it all and want something else to work on, but if you don't have time for that you can completely ignore it.

A great perk but I got one question about it.

So I know it's great when paired with No mither. But I've been using it as solo since I no longer run Self care. My current build is Iron will, Resilience, Balanced landing and Adrenaline. And it's helped me a lot with gens. But I got just one question.

How much faster does it make vaulting? Slow and fast vaults. I want to know the current speed and the speed with resilience. Since I want to know if it's as good as I think. I'd find it out myself, but I don't know where to.

It makes fast vaults 0.4 seconds faster and medium vaults 0.8 seconds faster.

That's why you report them to Microsoft/Sony (depending on the platform) and never respond to them in any way. Microsoft in particular is usually quicker with the ban hammer.

It'd still be nicer for everyone to keep it in context. There's a lot taken out if you just read chat logs from console dms

Just saying dude, when it gets to racial slurs, there is no amount of ingame action which should make that okay and even if it was, thats just not classy

I don't care what someone is saying, I'm saying it would be better overall if there was an in game chat for consoles.

I don't know how well an automated system could work because people would find a way to abuse it and farm props, but they're already tracked and we can check them just like reports. I think it would be neat to have some sort of rewards for people who do nice things, like teaching a new player how the game works. Maybe a bunch of shards or something. I'm a firm believer that positive reinforcement is just as important as getting rid of the bad apples.

What is the give props button for in the first place? Does it do anything?

Incorrect. You do get a slight higher % chance of getting more rares, very rares, and ultra rares and less commons and uncommons in your blood web.

    So more grind...

Yeah you would think this game was f2p with all this grinding hehe.

The extra "grind" you're talking about is literally like a couple hours worth of bloodpoints. I can get a p3 lvl 50 character in one week if I have a killer with BBQ and survivor puddings.

True, I think it costs about 1.2-1.3M BP to bring a lvl 1 character to lvl 50.

The real grind is when you try to get every last perk for the poor sucker. I don't even know how much BP you need for that. 30M? 40M?

Well, including the tiers, there's about 151 levels required to get all perks. Each lvl 50 bloodweb is ~50k bloodpoints, and the first 49 levels are about ~40k. 49x40k=1,960,000. 102x50k=5,100,000. The total amount of bloodpoints required to get all perks is about 7,000,000 bloodpoints.

This does have about a 500,000 bloodpoint room for error, plus or minus.

Getting a 4k in a very short time or without 1 gen being completed (at least in high ranks). Yeah, there's already the reward of bloodpoints and xp you get for every match but matches like those feel like a real accomplishment. Something like "Quick Trial - 1000 sacrifice points" seems like enough. I'd also like to see end of season rewards but everyone already wants that.

    Wants Reward for shot matches
Will moan when gen rushed and game to short

? Wouldn't you want killers who absolutely destroyed a team to rank above them? Isn't it intrinsically bad for there to be higher skilled players playing against lower skilled players?

What perks still need some buffs? How would you buff them?

You should make a headline for every perk that people mention, with the best idea you've found on the forums written below (and perhaps 2nd and 3rd choices linked below) so I can bookmark your post (:

There are actually a lot of perks that need reworking. Some examples I'd try out:

    Monstrous Shrine:

Whenever you hook someone in the basement, gain X/X/X amount of X, up to X.

    After Care:

Remove the part where you lose the effect. (and if considered too strong, making it so that it only works when you unhook/heal someone)

    Autodidact:

For every successful Skill Check completed while healing a Survivor, you receive a Token for a maximum of 3/4/5 Tokens.

Each Token grants you a +10 % bonus progression for a successful Skill Check while healing Survivors.

Great Skill Checks cannot be performed while using Autodidact.

    Boil Over

Only change: You obscure the Killer's ability to see Hook Auras within 20/25/30 metres.
(Can be a shock when you realise someone has it, but after that you may think twice before picking someone up. Great in indoor maps)

    Bond

Add: When someone else sees you with the perk Bond, see a "Small Perk indicator" to the left of your perks.
(By small indicator I mean the thing that also shows when Prove Thyself is active/Leader/Open Handed etc.)

    Botany Knowledge

Instead of the PTB Self-Care Adjustment: Healing Speed and Healing Item Efficiency is increased by 30/35/40%.

    Dark Sense:

Whenever another survivor is in a chase, the Perk Icon turns on. When it's on, teammates see a small perk icon of Dark Sense.

    Deja Vu:

You can see all generator's aura. Generators that have more than 0 progression are shown in yellow.

    Distortion:

Whenever your aura is being read, this perk icon turns on.
Every 100/90/80 seconds, it will block your aura from being read for 10 seconds.

(I'd really want this version instead of the current, despite the current not being all too bad)

    Empathy:

Add: Injured players can see your aura as well as long as they are injured.

    Left Behind:

When you are the last survivor, gain 100% repair speed. Generators keep automatically progressing at half the speed at 94%/92%/90% allowing you time to reposition yourself, when you're not working on that generator.

The generator being kicked will cancel the automatic progressing.

    No Mither:

You are no longer affected by Haemorrhage, Mangled and Blindness. You no longer leave pools of blood and make 30/40/50% less noise when injured.

    Quick and Quiet:

Hide actions' noise detection and audio range is reduced by 100 %.
This effect can only be triggered once every 30/25/20 seconds.

Vaulting's noise detection and audio range is always reduced by 100 %.

    Etc.
Someone else may continue at the letter Q (:

Adding all the perks as we speak

I understand that, but a quick trial usually results in a single pip and even a black pip. Long matches that end in 4ks are nearly always double pips.
I just want to know if you think a short match 4k takes more skill than a long match 4k in high ranks.

I don't think that's true. Quick matches do usually end in single pips, but not black pips. It's all because of getting bronze chaser that you can't double pip in a quick match.

you got a lot of perks to help you gain advantage once all gens are finished, make better use of them. They even give you an opening time for gates that you can still alter with such perks but then again I should spend even way more time doing it so you can have a free kill. How about earning something once in a while?

What made you earn a 16 second gate opening time? No one has "earned" anything here.

If you couldn’t kill me during the time I got to complete 5 gens, then you totally don’t deserve a kill, at least not mine, and I earned my escape. But then again you got NOED, you can cheese your way to 4k then

Prime example of an entitled survivor main. No one deserves anything. Yeah killers have NOED, but YOU have DS. So just sit down, shut up, and stop being so damn entitled.

I’m no survivor main and my poor Feng Min still doesn’t hace DS, but sure, keep whining and asking for free kills.

You're asking for free escapes then. You need to separate yourself from the worthless strawman of "deserving" kills and escapes. It's purely skill and luck. Nothing to do with who "deserves" it. It's your fault if you didn't manage the gates properly as a survivor, and it's your fault if you didn't stop the gates as killer. That's why I made this thread, because sometimes you cannot do anything about gates as killer.

Thanatophobia....but now Legion messes it all up.

With Dying Light you can bring a green Mori and early into the game apply a permanent 25% speed penalty to all actions.

It's much harder to have 4 survivors consistently injured. Well for most killers outside of Legion and Nurse. Thanat should have had the 25% bonus when all 4 survivors were injured. It would have been good for killers as it would force survivors to heal up and its like a free sloppy butcher, and survivors wouldn't have been punished by having the effect last all game as it does with dying light.

    What if for Thanataphobia:

This would be pretty broken imo. Even if the obsession got a 5% speed increase, it's still fairly easy to start and cut chases with them regardless of their speed. This would also screw over the other 3 survivors and chases will end in seconds.

    Um, and what about STBFL?

You get the tokens from hitting a survivors with the base attacks, but to make this perk to actually work you must ignore the obsession to made this perk work effectively.

I think making the tokens tier-based, as opposed to the movement speed buff, is a bad idea. Other than that, sounds good, in theory.

I think it would allow a little more freedom in the play style by only removing tokens if you put someone in the dying state. You could remain in the chase and go for the down with the extra 5% movement speed, or tag people and get the 15% total.

EDIT: Also yeah, I was a little iffy on what should've been the tier

I'm not sure if you understood me. I was speaking of the perk's tier. By making it so PWYF I can only give one token would make that tier useless. The same thing happened with other perks, like NOED.

No, no, I understand what you meant. I just thought maybe the tiered aspect should've been changed, like how they did STBFL. But I guess the tiered movement speed would be better.

But this have nothing to do with the obsession...

Well, yeah, the idea is to make the perk useful.

Yes, it's pretty useless now, but all three perks of the myers are focused to get benefits from the obsession...

    Um, and what about STBFL?

I think making the tokens tier-based, as opposed to the movement speed buff, is a bad idea. Other than that, sounds good, in theory.

I think it would allow a little more freedom in the play style by only removing tokens if you put someone in the dying state. You could remain in the chase and go for the down with the extra 5% movement speed, or tag people and get the 15% total.

EDIT: Also yeah, I was a little iffy on what should've been the tier

So, I have to run around the map doing gens, avoiding your ruin, avoiding your hits, your camping and tunneling yet I manage to finish all 5 gens but door needs to be nerfed because... I haven’t earned it?

you got a lot of perks to help you gain advantage once all gens are finished, make better use of them.

Well, I think you need to stop setting up a strawman here. I could use the same "YOU GENRUSHED AS SWF" strawman against you. If you deserved to escape, there wouldn't be an exit gate timer, you would just be able to leave. I'm saying if it's to stay as an objective, it should be treated as such.

  • +1 Yup, this is it. This is the one.

@Tzeentchling9 said: Credit where credit is due, they definitely listened to Survivors' complaints about Hallowed Blight. All they complained about was Survivors' side objective not progressing the match, now all they have to do is rush gens and run out the gate as usual. Yea they only have to do all that while avoiding someone that can kill them? lmao - the way killers on this forum talk about how easy it is for survivors really makes me believe most killers sit in corners until the match is over.

It certainly feels that way with how fast I've been flying through the gens this entire event. It has not been uncommon for us to have at least three gens done before the first hook. That's a problem with the killer, not the survivors. If you can't end a chase in ~15 seconds, then you're either a bad killer, or you need to give up the chase because the survivor is better than you.

Lulwut? 15 seconds? So what, you only every chase someone in an open field as Hillbilly? I don't play hillbilly. I play mostly Wraith, you just need to get better at mindgames. So only play against blind Survivors, gotcha. The dude ends chases in under 15 seconds with Wraith, I think you need to show him more respect. Clearly we have a legend amongst us. I mean some maps have multiple ultra safe pallets all together which made me think it wasn't possible but apparantly this guy plays Wraith like he was Nurse.

I'd love to see some gameplay footage.

Ideally. Ideally, you should end chases in 15 seconds. If you can't, give up the chase. You will lose so much pressure if you take longer than that. There's so many people who just can't give up for the life of them, and I really don't get it.

And before you come back with your Holier Than Thou speech about MiNd GaMeS. We have math on our side to back up our claim. Getting a hit stops you for what, three seconds? That's a fiveth of your time there and they got a speed boost. Break a pallet? That's two seconds of you not moving. Bloodlust? You've already used up your entire 15 second allotment of time to hit teir 1.

Feel free to provide evidence that contradicts the math.

Blade wipe animation lasts about one second, survivor speed boost is two. If you're chasing in a straight line, yeah, you won't get the hit. You aren't supposed to break pallets all the time. The only pallets you have to break are usually structure pallets. In a usual situation: You find a survivor at a gen. You get the hit as they run from the gen, they get the speed boost (maybe make a few turns) and you blade wipe for one second. Now the survivor is at a basic pallet, they throw it down as you approach. You start walking around it, they loop it once, and as you are about to catch up to them, they vault, but you moonwalk and lunge hit them. That should take about 15-20 seconds.

So you are playing in the yellow ranks where Survivors don't keep an eye out for wraith and wait at pallets without looping them. Thanks for the explanation.

    Red ranks, xbox.

They definitely learned from their mistakes during the Hallowed Blight. This event is much, much better. Matchmaking is normal, backend servers aren't crashing, most players are playing normally, and you can actually get the cosmetics within a reasonable timeframe this time. Keep up the good work devs!

    BAHAHAHAHHA!!!!

What a generous contribution to my post. You truly have bestowed upon me the greatest gift.

Haven't you been forum banned before? I'm not particularly surprised.

Literally the complete opposite. They learned nothing from Hallowed Blight and did the exact same problems again except now it's on the killer side.

    Would you care to elaborate?
