Imagine beeing in the hook for the whole game or hunted down and die in the first few minutes.
Does this sound like fun? It is extremely boring for both sides. Even as killer I'd rather search for someone else than standing around while gens getting completed around me and watch one guy die. It is not that interesting. And even if I would get a 4k this way, for me it would not be something to be proud of. And you actually won't get much bp from playing this way.
It might be effective sometimes, but is it fun? I don't think so.

If it's your art and you aren't charging for it then it's fair use.
Plenty of Myer's artwork on the forum.
It is my personal artwork and I do not receive money for it. However, I intend to participate in a contest to win ingame currency. And I'm not really sure how the rules are in this case.
-
I think a reason someone would deny it if asked by the killer is, that the killer probably would use this fact as an "excuse" why they lost or why this round was extremely stressful for them. They would probably address it as op or complain about it.
-
Me too, man. Vaulting pallets or windows feels so weird now, and even the normal running feels so slow, it just isn't that much fun anymore. I want my stabby boi back.

Wanna come by and give me feed back in my Legion thread?
I already saw your thread :)
Actually I think Legion has a lot of potential to get buffed, I guess I will comment when I sorted my ideas. I hope the Devs will take a look at your thread and notice how much we want Legion to get buffed.
-
(*woman :) )
Well, Legion was my most favourite killer, lore, design and ability wise. It's just so sad they nerfed him into oblivion. And I will never understand all the survivors that cried because of this killer, he was never really outstanding strong anyway. I always liked to play against him, never had a problem (or maybe just luck and only got killers who used his power as intended)
-
Totally underpowered.
As survivor I literally run into his knife (depends on sotuation) when he's in ff, since I know it won't really do anything and he will most likely leave me after hitting once. Mending is also insanely fast, nothing to be feared at all.
I used to play him a lot before the big nerf happened. Now I still like him, but he kinda lost his feel of a fast and stabbing killer. Frenzy is slow, vaults are insanely slow, can't see blood or scratchmarks and the fatigue feels like giving yourself a decisive strike. I mean he's literally the only killer where you rather want to get pallet stunned than having fatigue from ending your power. And you better not miss one hit.
It's not really much fun to play him anymore than it used to be. As survivor I never had a problem with old legion, in my opinion the only change that was needed is that the mending timer stopps in the TR. And maybe increase the required hits to down someone in ff. Everything else was just too much.
-
Well, sometimes it just is like that. A lot of times when I played solo and had the lunch to have decent teammates who even body blocked or trade for me, I got assumed to be in swf, which wasn't the case. The killers usually don't believe me, even though I do not have my profile on private. The other way around when I'm actually playing with friends, but we don't really care about escaping, the killer usually never says something about swf in the end chat.
So it's pretty much like this:
- playing solo with good teammates -> killer assumed me to play swf
- actually playing swf, without really caring about escaping -> killer thinks we're all solos....
-
He needs some love!
His power is such a waste like it is now, I always liked this killer the most and the feeling he got, but his power seems almost entirely useless now. He urgently needs some buffs.
-
This would totally be abused.
However, my suggestion would be to make a block list, where you can block up to five people (don't know if this is even possible). But this way you could block five people you totally don't ever want to play with again. Due to the limited number it could not really get abused.
-
Yeah I feel the same. I really wish they would implement this. I really want to improve in playing nurse and billy and to practice alone. So sad that this is not possible right now. In a match you don't really have time to practice. I mean you practice by playing, but if you're trying out a new killer and want to test things and try things out, there's barely time in a match. I just wanna chill and learn on my own.
-
Depends on the situation, but let's say one is dead, one gets chased and one is on the hook far away and the last gen is on 50%.
If I know the hooked survivor will get sacrificed until I got this last gen done, I'd risk to leave this gen to unhook them anytime. If he's in first stage I would finish this gen and go for the unhook afterwards. Early or mid game I'd try my best not to let the second stage happen and would also leave a gen, even if far away, if I notice nobody else is getting there in time.

I would like the "hook everyone once" change.
Also, wasn't aware there are 4 hooks. ;)
From the killers point of view survivors belong on hooks. So it is equal.....(or in other words: my english is bad and I messed up, but I'm glad if people understand what I'm trying to say :D )
Anyway, I also think the "hook everyone once" change would solve the main problem and not be too bad for killers.
-
In my opinion they should activate after the 4th hook in general, regardless which survivor was hooked how many times (eg. Hooking two survivors two times or hooking everyone once --> ebony mori is activated). Or - other suggestion - after everyone has been hooked once.
This would avoid to tunnel down the first one hooked and take him out of the game in the first three minutes, which seriously isn't fun.
At the same time as killer you usually try to hook everyone once in general anyway (4 hooks) and still are able to take survivors out of the game pretty quickly.
-
No. Billy is one of the best balanced killers and I'm talking from survivor perspective.
I hope they won't ever change him.
-
Only the characters I main and only if I really want the bloody outfit. At the moment I only have Nea and Steve on P3 and I really want P3 Ghostface.
-
I don't think it is good but mainly because of my playstyle. It annoys me a lot that it activates as soon as you are running and I run around a lot. I don't have the nerve to slow walk to a gen or a hook or across the map in general just to avoid beeing exhausted. I'd basically choose every other exhaution perk over sprint burst.
-
It seems like everyone is thinking the European servers are fine, but in my experience they aren't. I connect to the server in Frankfurt and have about 30-40ms ping every game. But the hitboxes are worse than playing with a killer lobby with a ping over 200ms.
I get hit after vaulting pallets (standing on the other side again, then got hit), I got hit through solid walls, through windows when I'm not even near anymore and hatchets, which just flew past me and hit the ground injure me like 2 seconds later.
it feels like having a massive hitbox, which is far behind where the survivor actually is. For me it feels much worse than the killer being the host and I think those things should not happen with a ping of 30ms.
-
I only played survivor so far. I live near to one of the servers in Europe and for most games I had a ping of 30 ms, which is insanely good.
Anyway, the hitboxes are a mess. Even though I had a really good connection, I still got hit in these scenarios:
- after vaulting a pallet ( I vaulted it, character is already standing on the other side of the pallet, killer swings and I got hit). This is the biggest issue for me, since that happened a lot.
- after vaulting a window and already running again (enough space between survivor and window, still got hit through it)
- through solid walls ( I looped the killer around some walls, he was behind me but on the opposite of a solid wall, swung and hit me. This also happened on other loops)
- hatchets are first flying past me (I can hear them hit the ground) and I got injured by them like 2 seconds later.
The only good thing about the servers is that they don't (or rarely) lag.
But playing with these issues is actually worse than playing against a killer with a ping of 175ms! Even in yellow ping lobby's I rarely faced those issues in the past. These things should not happen with a ping of 30-40ms...
-
I had the same experience once. It really sucks, especially if you are in the mood to play. But I only spend 10 minutes in searching them, no progression was made in these 10 minutes. I handled it with just going afk. I tabbed out and watched one episode of a series on Netflix (about 45 minutes) after that I got back to the game and found them doing their first gen (after almost 1 hour!) and got them both.
Seriously, the best thing to do in a situation like that is to just go and do something else.
-
Would buy.
-
Depends, sometimes if something funny or really dumb happens and makes me laugh, it really can be kinda relaxing. Mostly depends on how the other people play and how desperate the killer want his 4k.
If it is a not so serious game, it can be really funny and relaxing. But it's rare, sadly.
-
Tbh i like the design of dbd default much more. I just love these floating fabric things and the whole outfit in general. He's the first killer I consider to prestige because I actually like his default outfit the most.
It's just a matter of taste, like every cosmetic.
-
It really is too short. I don't always have time to play after work, so I mainly play on weekends. I really hope they will extend it :(

Oh no dude. They asked for WAY more than that.
maybe some did. But I don't get why the devs listen to things like that. People will complain about everything, that doesn't mean that it is justified.
They should rather do something about the DC mentality instead of listening to exactly those people....
-
It's a difficult question. There's only one thing that I don't really like about her. Mindgames are not really mindgames anymore, at least for the survivor side there's a lot of luck involved. it even happeded a few times that I accidentally walked into her while she was phase walking and didn't chase anyone. So sometimes she got hits on me just because she accidentally run into me, which is kinda unlucky as survivor. And it's getting boring if the 10th time in a row is a Spirit.
But besides that, I don't think shes that bad to go against.
-
How about ebony moris only work after the 3rd or 4th hook? So if you made 4 hooks, you can start to mori the next downed person. This gives the survivors a little time to play and wouldn't be too much of a nerf, since you try to hook everyone at least once anyway to mori them.

I'm not blaming them, I'm trying to say that they are shooting their own knee by agreeing with that being happy about the basekit nerf.
Well, I am a survivor main, but I'm not happy about the base kit nerf. I'm not even happy about some add on changes. As well as I still think the Legion nerf was really an overkill because the killer is pretty bad now.
Being a survivor main does not mean that I'm happy about any nerfs the killers get. Removing or nerfing omega blink would have been enough, as well as the only change Legion ever needed was that the mending timer stops while in the TR (because of the moonwalk abuse).
I still want to have decent games against decent killers. I don't play this game to get a free escape. I don't want to play a generator repair simulator.
-
The only thing that was ever asked for, was to nerf omega blink.
Don't blame the survivors just because the devs make changes nobody asked for.
-
What survivor are you playing and what rank? Apperantly it seems like there are killers who hate specific survivors. In my experience it is also a matter of rank. The funny thing is, I got more often tunneled and camped in yellow and green ranks than in purple and red.
And in my experience killers hate Nea. Which is sad for me, because I main her, and often use her bright colored cosmetics with pink hair, just because I like it the most. I never tbag or flashlight click and I'm not the best in running the killer around for too long. However, view days ago I played against a clown, who focused me from the beginning of the match and camped. I got unhooked with BT, he tried to down me and still went after me. When he got me, I hitted him with DS and used BL right after, to get away. One of my teammates tried to get his attention, but he still went after me ( after BT, DS and BL!). The gens literally popped around him but he only wanted me dead, what he got in the end. The other three escaped.
I asked him in the end chat why he did that and he basically told me that I was toxic because of the outfit I use and because I play as Nea. And this was it. This was his reason.
Imagine being called toxic because you use a skin that even gives the killer an advantage since he can see you better.
-
I think it would be a good idea to put down the mend timer when hitting a survivor again in FF. Then it would actually give the killer a little advantage when they hit the survivor again, instead of only giving the survivor a free sprint burst.
But anyway I think there are way more buffs needed to put Legion in a decent place again.

Haddonfield, infinites, large maps like temple of purgation, the nurse nerf called "slight changes to basekit", insta heals, keys, gen rushing, un-mindgameable pallets. want me to go on?
You can basically make the same list for killers with their "op" stuff. If gen rushing is a thing, then there is also kill rushing, slugging, ebony mori, strong add ons, insta downs, small maps, unsafe pallets, etc. ...
Both sides have strong things. It's also a little luck based, like which killer you play on which map with what layout (window/pallet spawn).
As survivor it is also luck based what teammates you are matched with. Do they actually do something useful, do they play decent or is is just a farm fest or crouching around in the corner of the map? Not everyone plays in a full swf...

Sorry to hear that :( But how strange. I wonder what's causing these huge discrepancies in people's experiences, even in similar areas or connecting to the same server.
Yeah, it's really strange. I was so hyped for the servers when they were announced but even though one of it is located litterally right next to me, I had a lot of bad experiences with them when they were live and also in the last ptb. It's sad, but I hope they will not officially release them in the current state :(
I hope they can fix this issue somehow...
-
Sadly the servers did not work for me, even though I live near Frankfurt and had a ping of 30 ms for almost every match.
I didn't had problems with lags, there were none, but the hitboxes and latency were terrible.
I got hit through solid walls, I got hit after I vaulted a pallet and already were standing on the other side, I got hit from hatchets, which just flew past me like 2 seconds ago and the list goes on. These things didn't happen only one time. They happened in almost every match with the dedicated servers.
Even when I'm in a killer lobby with a ping of 175ms the hitboxes and latency aren't that terrible like they were with the dedicated servers.
-
I'd say NOED, since it affects two health states while Adrenaline only heals one health state. Yes, NOED is counterable with breaking totems, but if you play solo, it is pretty hard since there is no indicator on how many totems on the map are still intact and you don't know how many totems your teammates cleansed (if they even did).
-
Depends on my mood and what I want to archive (like going for adept archivements or something). But if I had a decent game, enough bloodpoints and the last survivor wasn't toxic, I'd most likely let them go.

You know... when you said you got hit by hatches, for a second my brain assumed you meant the exit hatch...
And now I wanna see a survivor next to the hatch spawn, getting hit by the door when it opens and falling to ground.
omg I wanna see that, too! :D
-
And I wondered why the hitboxes were so bad today, before I've read the news...
I had constant green ping, 50 and lower, but the hitboxes were so much worse than ever before.
I got hit by hatches, seconds after I saw them flying past me, I got hit after I fast vaulted a pallet and were standing on the other side of it, I got hit through a wall after I went behind it and the list goes on. Everything of this happened in the last few matches I've played just now.
This experience was even worse than on the ptb.
I just hope they'll never really release the dedicated servers like that. It will completely destroy the game. Please cancel them or fix them, I don't care. But in the current state, it is not really playable anymore.
-
I'd rather like to have Robin or Billy in the game. Or maybe Hopper. I'm not a big fan of Jonathan, I don't even know why. I just think there are more interesting characters in the show.
-
I never have issues like that when going against Ghostface. I rather enjoy playing against him. I mean, he's literally the only killer who in some cases tries to avoid you, if you approach him.
Never really had issues with breaking him out of night shroud mid chase. If his body is not covered, you'll win the staring contest for sure (if he didn't 99% you before).
-
I had a game lately where I run the killer around for 3 gens, which were very quickly done since he got no ruin. I got hooked, unhooked, did a gen, the last gen popped and someone opened the exit gates and endgame started. No one else got hooked. I had to escape due to the timer. I had to leave and I depipped. I honestly don't think this is fair eiter. What else am I supposed to do in situations like that?
Clearly Survivors should not get a pip for thins like that, but they shouldn't loose one either.
-
Hawkins is the only indoor map that I actually really like.
-
I don't like to go against spirit, but at least it is possible to loop her or winning mindgames.
What I really hate is to go against a high rank nurse. Not only are pallets entirely useless, if the player knows what they are doing it is so hard to get away and mostly results in not much chase points. For me she is the most frustrating to go against.
-
And I am sick of getting tunneled.
This is the only reason why I use this perk in first place. It is seriously no fun to get hunted to death within the first three minutes of the game, and there are a lot of people who do exactly this. Some people don't understand that getting a 4k as killer or escaping as survivor is not the equivalent of "winning" a match. At least it is not in my understanding. As long as people try to ruin the game for me, I won't stop using my ds, because they pretty much deserved it. And it doesn't even help me everytime, since it is a one time use only and they can continue to tunnel, but at least I can give my teammates a little more time to try to help me or at least getting gens done.
Sure, sometimes I hit a killer with it, who didn't deserve it, but this happens in maybe 1/20 matches, when I even get to use it. And tbh most of the time it is a complete waste of a perk slot, because the killer (thankfully) didn't play completely sweaty and didn't tunnel. And I'm not a person who takes advantage of the perk (like running around as if I'd be invincible, the time runs out quickly enough for me to not to do that. If I see someone behaving like that when I play killer, I just hit and slug them, until I'm sure the timer has ruined out). So I think it is fine where it is now.
-
Give her an vault animation. She is already a pretty strong killer with a lot of mindgame potential and having no animation when vaulting gives her even more of an advantage compared to other killers.
-
I had the same thing yesterday. It was a really quick game, the killer found me first and I ran him around for 3 gens (which were very fast done since he got no hex:ruin). I got hooked, unhooked and healed, did a gen the other gen popped and I got out. No one else got hooked or injured and I lost a pip.
I mean I can understand if you don't pip when there was not enough done, but if they handle it like that, they should also compare the amount of things that were done while you were getting chased. Running the killer around for 3 gens should not be something that gets punished, I mean, what else should I do in a situation like that? You should always safety pip if you did something and escaped.
Also as killer you should get at least a safety pip if you get a 4k. It should not be a thing to loose a pip if you reached your main goal.

The problem is that if you fix the issue, it is at lower rank Survivors' expense, but if you don't, it is at lower rank Killers' expense. At some point, you have to decide who bites the bullet: The people who choose to team up together despite the sizeable gap in rank, or the person who doesn't really get a say in being matched up against them.
That's why I said they should have just change the matchmaking to pick a killer rank above the average.
Don't get me wrong, I play both sides and I know what it feels like to face red rank swf with OoO as yellow rank killer. This should obviously never happen.
I just think to only choose the highest rank in the lobby is also wrong. If you want to get a new friend into the game, you also have to look after them and help them a little out (and I don't mean to carry them, but explaining the basic stuff, show them how to use pallets, they will mess up skill checks, no chance against hex:ruin, etc.).
So if I'm in red ranks and have a low rank friend (let's say yellow), I think a killer in purple rank would be a good match for all sides. The killer would get some kills for sure and the survivor side also can get a few blood points and no one will get depression.
And I still ask myself, what rank would the randoms have? If I only play with my yellow rank friend, is there a chance that we also get yellow rank randoms? This would be crazy...
-
@TAG said:

I could be wrong, but I'm not sure a rank 15 Survivor is nearly as likely to be paired with a rank 4 Killer with the matchmaking fix unless they SWF with a rank 4ish Survivor, and that's on them.
That's true, but I want to play with my friends because they are my friends, I don't care what their rank is and I think it is the same for them. Not every one has so much time to play the game to be able to rank up.
Or is this game supposed to destroy friendships now with the new matchmaking?
Believe it or not, but there are still people who play for fun and not to bully the killer. I just don't think it is fair to punish those because of some toxic people who exploit the system.
I think it would have helped to take a killer rank above the average of the survivor ranks.
-
Other question is: what about the randoms?
If I'm rank 4 and have a rank 15 teammate, we will get a rank 4 killer - which already sucks bc it is much likely that the rank 15 will get tunnled to death, it is an easy kill at least.
But what rank will the randoms have? Is this also related to the highest rank in the lobby? Or can it result in one rank 4 and three rank 15 with a rank 4 killer?!
If this could happen, it will break the game for survivors.
