I agree, if it worked on average but then make that average rank slightly higher I think it would be fine. The friends I like playing with don't play all that much whereas I play at practically any chance I get. I don't really think it's fair that because of this, if I want to play with them it's practically a 1v1 rather than a 4v1.
Totally agree with this. They should have simply take ranks slightly higher than the average. ( example: 3x rank 2 + rank 20 should result at least in a rank 6-5 killer, so they can't exploit it that much anymore)
Not everyone I team up with plays this game on a regular basis, they will probably never learn how to play it properly because they have lack of time.
Not every swf group is good. Actually when I play with 3 friends, we all loose the game much more often (against mid rank killers) than when I only play together with only one friend who's decent at the game.
So if I'm in red ranks and have friends in gray, yellow or green ranks with me, I don't think it is ok to let them face a red rank killer who's able to mindgame while they wasting all the pallets on the map, blowing gens up and I have to babysit while the killer completely slaughters our group...
This would rather result in that they would never touch the game again or don't want to play with me anymore because of my high rank.
And also I'm not a person who wants to say "I don't want to play with u anymore bc u are too bad at this game and can't handle red ranks."....

I agree, this dlc is great. They did a good job on the character and map design and demogorgon is one of my most favourite killers to play as and play against!
And I love them for bringing Steve's Scoops Ahoy uniform to the game!
-
To answer your question, for me it is like this:
Camping: if the killer is hiding or standing next to the hook or keeps running around it/searching the area without any reason.
If you saw scratchmarks or an other survivor and take a specific amount of time looking for them, or chasing someone around the hook, it is not camping. But coming back to the hook over and over again without reason is camping, in my opinion.
Tunneling: when you see both, the unhooked and the unhooker and decide to go after the unhooked one again.
If I got unhooked, run into your arms and you smack me, it is my own fault. However, if you see the unhooker or know where he went, but you don't even try to go for him and pick me up again, I'd might also consider it as tunneling.
These things can completely ruin a game for one person and take the whole fun. And that's kinda sad, because that's what I play for. For me a game isn't necessarily a gg when I escaped, but when I had fun and maybe piped. As long as I had fun, I don't care if I get sacrificed or not.
Same goes for me as killer. I play 80% survivor and 20% killer. We all play to have a good time (at least I think so) andI don't want to ruin it for anyone. Only exception are toxic people. I don't really let them provoke me, but if someone starts to tbag or flashlight spamming, I don't care anymore and simply hook them. But I never camp because for me it is boring.
-
I just didn't thought that it would come so soon. If I'm not wrong in the 3rd anniversary stream the dev's mentioned that only one licensed killer is planned each year...?
Since we already got ghostface I didn't thought that the next chapter would also be a licensed one.
But I'm glad. This is my most favourite chapter so far, Demogorgon is so much fun to play and to play against. And we got Scoops Ahoy Steve. Couldn't ask for more.
-
I'm happy we got Steve, he's my most favourite character of the show.
And I'm okay with Nancy too, but if I could choose I'd rather like to have Billy in the game. On the other hand it is nice to have a male and a female character in one dlc, so...I'm ok with how it is now.
-
It's one of my most favourite maps.
At first when I got the information that it is gonna be a indoor map with two floors like The Game, I was like "dear lord, please no!" because I really don't like the saw map. But I took a lot of time to explore the new map during the ptb and was so surprised in a positive way.
The design and the amount of details is awesome and the atmosphere with the lightning and the sounds is great.
There are a lot possibilities to hide and I really like the concept of the stairs and extra-floors with grids.
There are a lot of unsafe pallets - literally a ton of pallets everywhere, which I like. I prefer more unsafe pallets to few safe pallets. It makes the game more balanced and survivors can't only rely on looping one single pallet but have to think how else they can escape which seems to work really well on the new map.
Especially if you have balanced landing this map is really strong for survivors. That's my experience. I think they did a really well map design with this one.

Happy birthday!
My boyfried also has birthday today, I'm gonna buy the dlc as a present for him. Perfect timing! :D

As killer I'm really bad and finding survivors when they hide.
As survivor I have a hard time when killers moonwalk in mindgames and I can't relate on the red light.
And I'm still bad at knowing the maps. I have big trouble with "The Game" and a bad sense of direction in general.
-
Yesterday I got dodged 6 times in a row because the killer thought it was swf, which wasn't the case.
Sometimes I have the feeling that a killer dodges me because of my cosmetics. I'm a Nea main and mostly have her pink hair and clothes with a design I like ( which are noticeable). I guess most killers assume "noticeable Nea = toxic", which is also not true. I'm not even good at running the killer around for long. I think it's just funny sometimes how some people are scared of a cosmetic, that even gives them an advantage, since they can see me better.
When I play killer the only thing I'm afraid of is a group of Claudettes with toolboxes....
-
I have a story to tell...
I was injured and tried to open the exit gates, but the killer came and I had to let go. They were literally at 99%. He got me and hooked me right in front of the exit and went away to the other gate to look for the others. So I was hanging there, in front of a 99% gate, struggling, with no terror radius to be heard at all. I saw a locker open behind me, and Ace stepped out of it. I was happy to see him, he could get me off the hook and we could both escape or help our other teammates after he would heal me....but Ace had other plans. He went past my hook, opened the exit and went out.
I was literally shocked. ( and no, I really didn't gave him a reason to leave me behind).
But luckily a Nea came to my rescue.
-
Same here. Especially when his Scoops Ahoy cosmetic was confirmed I was like "hello new main."
-
Not only Killers but also Survivors.
If you disconnect as Survivor or suicide on first hook, you actually do more harm to your team than to the killer. But it seems like many people don't get that or just don't care, which is really sad.
It is also so disrespectful and frustrating for all sides.
A good example is when you try to get the archivement, where you have to kill four survivors in one trial with a mori. Usually I never use moris, but I want the archivement. I tried to be as fair as possible, hooking everyone first, letting them save and time to hide or heal again, didn't tunnel. I tried it seven times and still didn't get the archivement. Guess why.
Every single match at least one survivor disconnected. If they'd stop that, I could finally stop to bring ebony moris so often just to get this damn archivement.
-
Tbh I hate going against Spirit.
But still I give my best every single game and I'd never offend the killer for their character choice.
Spirit is in the game as playable character and if you want to play as Spirit you should just do it.
I tried her a few times and I can tell that it is a lot more fun to play her than going against her. Just use the killer you like the most and don't let you tell otherwise.
-
Matchmaking is completely broken.
When the Freddy rework came out, I was rank 15 because I haven't played killer for a while. ( I'm not the best though, usually around rank 10)
I thought 15 is a decent rank to get adept archivements, so I only used his three perks, which, of cause, isn't always easy. But this round litterally gave me depression. I barely managed to get three hooks.
At the end it turned out that I played against two red ranks SWF (one of them with OoO) and two purple ranks.
And I was just sitting there, asking myself how this can even be a thing? I thought as yellow I'd get grey or greens, but no, red and purple instead. This was so frustrating that it took me two weeks to get the motivation to play killer again.
I'd prefer to wait 10 minutes longer for a lobby than to be thrown together with people far above my skill and waste 10 minutes in a depressing match I got no chance to get even one kill.
-
I only prestige my main characters.
I have Nea in P3 with all perks and I don't regret it at all, since I wanted her bloody outfit.
I'm currently saving BPs to prestige Ghostface. Maybe going for Meg, too.
It only makes sense to prestige if you want to have the outfit. If you won't use the outfit, it would be a waste.
-
I love him. It's always fun to play against him, as well as to play with him. He's my favourite killer with a strong ability which can be easily countered if you are vigilant and spot him before he fully stalked you.
I think Myers is stronger than him, but a match with Ghostface brings me much more fun than with Michael, regardless which side I play.
-
Why would you even do that?
I'm not sure if it is banable or not, the game continues somehow, but you clearly procrastinate it on purpose. Slugging and let them bleed out already takes long enough but if you always force them to get up again it's even worse. And in my opinion not ok and could result in many people reporting you.
Just hook em or let them on the ground to bleed out if it makes you happy and go on to the next game.
-
On Nea I run Adrenaline, Decisive Strike, Balanced Landing and Iron will or Self care.
Balanced Landing is the one perk that is most important for me. Can't live without.
-
DS: because the one thing I really hate to go against are tunneling killers.
Killers often complain about genrush and that they want a game that lasts longer than 5 minutes. I completely understand this. But so do I.
If I get unhooked and the killer comes back and goes after me while ignoring the unhooker, who literally run into his face, he deserve to get a DS. That's the only perk which can help you if you get tunneld and to stay longer in the game than just a couple of minutes.
Counterplay is simple: just don't tunnel.

I'm glad to hear someone loves to go against Billy, even if I get alot of toxic messages bout me being Billy he is so fun to play against and to play as
I know there are so many toxic survivors who will give you salt in the chat for anything.
Even when I play with randoms, they sometimes try to insult the killer for their own faults and if the killer gets a 4k he is "definitely OP". Of cause. Especially when they played like potatoes. Don't give any value to that.
I'm just sick of all these whiney peoples, who think they got a bad match when they get killed. I can have a good match even when I die in the end. If the killer camps hard or tunnels extremely and no one helps, it is a bad match for me. But that's more depending on the killers playstyle than on the killer itself.
And Billy is designed for map pressure and to run around fast. It is not a killer a camper would choose I think. And it also does not really make sense to tunnel with him. That's another reason why I like to play against him. He'll most likely go after different people instead of hunting down one person.
-
As a survivor main speaking: no idea.
I personally enjoy to play against him and for me he is easier to juke than Bubba (even though Billy is way stronger than him, I'd choose to play against Billy over Bubba anytime).
Most rounds against him are pretty fun and I see no reason why he should get nerfed. I like him as he is right now. If you know how to juke it is possible to avoid his chainsaw for a good amount of time. If not, it's most likely the survivors own fault. Of cause there are situations where you can't do anything about it and just get chainsawed - but that just how it should be. A killer which can be looped for a little while and eventually gets you sounds like a good balance for me. This way it is fun for both sides you can have good chases and no one is getting absolute depression in the end.
I guess many people are just whiney because they still couldn't figure out how to avoid his chainsaw when he's running to them.
-
Basically you just click the same button as you'd hit them normally.
If the survivors keep doing their activity (keep opening the exit gates, repairing gens,....), you'll grab them automatically.
If the survivors let go from the gen (which is most likely if they notice you in time), you'll hit them instead.
You can't grab them anymore when they jump through the hatch. But you can close the hatch instead.
You can also grab them when they slow or medium vault windows or pallets while injured.
-
Nea, because I like her voice and cosmetics the most. And the way she stands in the lobby while holding her arm reminds me of myself because I also do it a lot. :D

Why so serious because of a meme skin?
It's never going to happen anyways. But it's still funny. I mean are there really experienced survivors, who are still scared of any killers? Not really I guess. (it's rather the other way around - killers that are scared of survivors - wich already is ridiculous)
The whole game looses it's horror aspect when you played it a few hours in total anyway, so why shouldn't be there some fun skins?
I'd die for shirtless Ghostface tbh. -
I love him, he's my most favorite killer to play and play against and the first killer I'm going to prestige.
He is easier to notice than Myers due to the noise of his clothing (if you listen properly you can even know when he's on the other side of a wall or approaching you, even when he has no terrorradius) and it is not hard at all to cancel his ability. Just run around him and he can't do much to avoid it if you can see enough of his body.
He's basically the only killer who's ability can be countered really simple, by just looking at him (even survivors on hooks or in dying state can do it). That's why I will never get why some people think he's "op". I mean you can't do anything to stop Myers from stalking and when he reaches tier 3, everyone is exposed, survivors in dying state or on hook can't do anything against other killers at all, so....
If you know how to move your camera, Ghostface is not too strong at all.
On the other side it is so much fun to play him, trying to be stealthy and crouching around, leaning from covers etc.
In my opinion he's one of the best balanced killers in the game. I only think he can be revealed a little too easy. But besides that his whole design is amazing.
-
I am a survivor main (play like 70% survivor and 30% killer) and it came to a point where I almost feel ashamed to be one.
There are so many toxic and salty people out there, who just try to make the killers feel bad. I know there are also toxic killers, but in my experience not even half as much than on the survivor side.
I main Nea and often use her pink hair and fitting cosmetics, just because I like the way they look. It happened a few times that I got killed during a trial and said things like "gg / hf / have a nice day" in the chat, because I still had fun, because the killer played fair and I meant it by heart. But the killers thought I'd just troll them and got mad.
And I can totally understand why they think that. And it makes me so sad when I think about that there are people, who got "bullied" so much by other survivors that they can't even believe you when you say something nice.
I have experienced that on my own, but I learned to ignore it and to still believe that there are people who play just for fun.
Don't give a damn what the are saying. Make your own rules how you like to play, what brings you fun.
When I play killer, I always try to play fair (go for the unhooker instead of the unhooked one, go away from the hook, etc), but still get called a tunneler, when the unhooked person basically runs into me 3 minutes later, still injured. Or a camper, when they literally unhook 3 seconds after I hooked the person without a chance to even go away and find someone else. It just is like that. But I won't change my playstyle because of some crybabies who play without using their brain. I made my own rules and stick to them, concerning both sides to have fun and get some points. If they still cry in chat because of their own faults, I don't even waste the time to reply.
Just keep in mind that there still are some nice, non-toxic survivors (even when they use these "toxic cosmetics"), who play to have fun and a good time with all players (teammates an killer)! Don't let the real toxic ones ruin the game for you.
-
In my opinion Ghostface is probably one of the best balanced Killers in the whole game. It's really fun to go against him. I mean you can cancel his ability by just looking at him and make him a M1 Killer without power! (which you can't with Michael + Michael has faster movement speed + everyone is exposed to him in tier3). And it's not that hard to reveal Ghostface.
Also playing as him is super fun. I like his ability and to crouch around and being stealthy.
I play both sides, but mainly survivor, and in my opinion this killer is awesome as he is right now.
I just played a few rounds as him, and some people (Rank 17-10) told me in the afterchat that he's "too op", and I totally don't get it. I really can't confirmed that (Rank 7 Survivor), since this killer has literally almost no map pressure (other than Legion, Billy, Nurse or Spirit, who can move though the map really fast). In my experience Ghostface can get genrushed pretty easy.
If you're not a complete potato, and do the stuff you're supposed to do as a survivor, it's not hard to win against him. In my opinion he's weaker than Michael, but stronger as Legion, a good mid-tier. I hope he'll stay as he is, he really don't deserve a nerf.
-
It would basically take about 80% of the fun, if swf would be removed.
They should rather take care of the disconnecters.
-
The cool down is way to long. How are you supposed to use Feral Frenzy to hunt an injured survivor, if you have 4 seconds cool down when cancelling it?Survivors can easily get away in that time...
-
I love to play against Legion, Billy and Nurse. For me these are the most interesting Killers that make the game exciting.

"Im a survivor main"
Yeah sure, you like going against a frank's mixtape + cold dirt and mori, dont you? :)
Yeah it is too much, just like bnp got nerfed too.. And vigil, that exhaustion nerf killed that perk..
To be honest as long as the game was good and brought me joy, I really don't care if I will get sacrificed or not in the end. I played many games against Legion, some where quite hard and others pretty easy, like with any other killer. But the games were almost always interesting and exciting because feral frenzy makes him unique and I never had one single facecamper-Legion (maybe just luck, idk).
A few changes they introduced are okay and maybe also necessary, but everything at once feels like too much. Why not implement a few changes first and the others later, if still necessary?
I like to play against Legion, in fact he's one of my most favourite killers. But if they'll nerf him that much, a lot of players probably won't play him anymore, which I think would be really sad because he brought some variety to the game and some stressfully situations which I really enjoyed.
Anyway let's see what happens if the changes are implemented.
-
Since feral frenzy can only be activated when charged up completely and can't down a survivor or affect the "Deep Wound" timer, is there any use for it while hunting an already injured survivor?
Since it will not be possible to activate it when it's not charged completely (like for jumping spontaneous through windows), the movement speed of FF is reduced and the Killer will get stunned after using this, I don't see any use to even activate Feral Frenzy for hunting an injured survivor, but rather go with normal movement speed after them. I think this will kill Legions best and most unique ability, that made it interesting and fun to play with or against him in the past and will turn him into a "boring" M1 killer, taking the variety out of the game.

Only legion main hate this change, every other player who play both side LOVE IT, we all already were tired about that stupid overpowered add-on and exploits.
Definitely not. I'm Main-Survivor and I hate these planned changes for Legion. This is simply too much. Few things are okay but with implementing everything planned, they will kill everything unique about this killer and make feral frenzy almost senseless.
This makes me so sad because I love this Killer and really like to play against him. I like the variety he brought to the game and it is not too hard to play against him as he is now. Would make me so sad if nobody would play with him anymore because he would become too weak.
