Do you and your friends also support killer DCs?
If they don't like the map, or they don't like you're in a swf, or one of you got a flashlight/pallet save, or the first chase took too long, or their noed got destroyed?
-
Yeah it lacks consistency. It's annoying as artist bc if I run BBQ I want to fire at my next target straightaway but have to waddle 10 metres away first. I get the point of it but it's especially irritating that the likes of bubba or hag have no restriction.
-
Noed got nerfed harder than people appreciate. I haven't seen a game with it where it's lasted long at all, usually good for one down and then boom
-
In fairness you're the one making the claim, burden of proof etc etc
-
They're strange. I'm happy with them mixing things up a bit though. Their spawn rate is weird too, I had a coal tower map where it seemed to be the only kind of tile that showed up??

The principle of the nurse is precisely to have this so particular way of chase. To be able to tp through almost anything, and to have a fast style of play 😊
A nurse who spends her time charging her power while walking around how all the other killers, and tp herself in the void because she just has to fill a gauge?
Sorry, but that would just be the death of fun. Pure and simple 🙄
So of course, if BHVR creates a new killer, which has the power, features and movement pattern you're talking about, yeah, sure, no problem 😀
But please, give Sally a break... 😫
Thanks for the constructive criticism. My PoV is mainly that I think bhvr will rework nurse at some point, so nurse mains (of which I'm not one) should be involved in the discussion of how to retain the parts of her power that make her unique.
Because currently nurse mains generally maintain that nurse must not be changed in any significant way, and while I respect the opinion, I don't know if it'll be viable forever.
-
Sounds potentially kinda nuts but also fun
Boons have been a pretty failed concept so far imo, hope to see some weirder stuff done with them

"I will go out of my way to camp and tunnel each and every one i find"
Assuming you do find me 😏
"you make the killer waste all of his time"
Yup, that's the point. The killer wasting time and achieving nothing out of it is in fact good for me if I'm a survivor. If you chase me for two minutes before downing me, that's pretty good. If you look for me for 2 minutes with no results, that's even better.
"and because he cant find you your teammates get juggled"
Some stealthy survivors are guilty of that but I'll get more aggressive when necessary. One problem a lot of survivors in general have is refusing to adapt their playstyle according to the situation. This includes survivors who will be aggressive even with multiple teammates hooked/slugged
-
They made the effect weaker and made it easier to activate, i.e. you don't have to run a whole build around it and probably throw the match to trigger it. So you might actually see it now, haven't been able to try it myself yet but seems like it could be pretty useful in endgame.
-
I mean I've camped and tunnelled before, I can't exactly say prolonged staring at a hooked survivor is a massive adrenaline rush but different strokes I guess
-
What don't you like about it?

I will consent to a nurse rework only when those 2 cases are resolved:
1 map design that's actually fair for everyone
2 swf being relegated in custom matches
But since we both know that this won't happen, consider this answer as a no
Ultimately if bhvr do change her they won't ask for permission first

It'll use blight's collision. Throw them at shack, they slide off, fly outside the boundaries and instantly escape. Tough but fair counterplay

As much as I don't want to sound like one of the people in chat, I would've preferred it if they did DbD first. If a company has a single game that basically makes all of their money, it's expected to be their priority, not other games that may or may not flop quickly.
The fact that we have to wait until the end of the stream for the information on the main game is annoying.
Not that that justifies the chat though.
They've done it in a sensible way. Short info on other games before (so people actually see it) then the hour on the new game at the end (so people don't completely mald at having to wait hours to see
Weskerwhoever the next killer is) -

what is tap gen bug?
Bringing any perk which deactivates upon performing a "conspicuous action" so OtR, dead hard, DS now gives you 50 survival points whenever you tap a gen or totem or something
-
Haven't been playing much this week, I had to go to London urgently for dog/housesitting duty
I played one game of solo survivor yesterday and it was terrible, a 3 hook 2k with a lot of a hook punching by a nemesis who didn't appreciate none of us going down until 4 gens had been done
Also this is Buffy:
-
From the ones I rarely see:
Billy/twins - feel janky and unpleasant to play as
Hag/artist - people generally don't enjoy their playstyles & gameplay
Sadako/Freddy - there are other killers who do similar things, but better
-
When it's good it's really good. Same does apply in reverse though.

Today at Lerys I was a bit unperceptive and got marked and downed by a Ghostface within the first minute of the game. I then didn't suicide on hook, got saved, got tunneled by the Ghostface and put on deathhook, while 2 gens popped.
The other survivors reset, got me off hook and I had already planned my escape route. Ghostface came after me and I ran him for another gen, then another survivor took the aggro, I got away, reset and we basically took the game out of Ghostface's hand from that moment on, slamming the last couple of gens out, playing it rather save and escaped with all 4 survivors.
❤️ Always a great thing to see

I'm not sure I follow you. The patch undoubtedly boosted the effects of camping and tunneling, however I don't follow the "it killed my playstyle". How exactly did it kill "aggressive players"? What even is an "aggressive survivor", the only thing I can think of that would be different from before is wanting the killer to chase you and abusing dead hard for distance?
I checked out one of the OP's videos to see if they would provide an example of aggressive gameplay and yeah, it's chasing killers around clicking and teabagging and trying to dumb tech them. They are right though, it's more important now for all survivors to put in some work on gens rather than spend the whole match working on their youtube montage.

gotta love it when killers openly admit that they have to "play down" the killers role.. clearly the basekit is op af if soo many killers need to down play.
You might be shocked to learn that there are quite a few survivors out there who can beat clown on coldwind with those perks, and could in fact do so before three of them were nerfed
-
People should express themselves if they're dissatisfied. But I doubt there's much useful feedback to take in right now. Thana gets buffed = rage. Thana gets nerfed = rage. A perk no one uses is made easier to activate with a weaker effect = the sky is falling, all the devs need to be fired. People with usually sensible opinions are behaving like street preachers, screaming that the end is nigh.

Until it reaches the status of a 3 gen. Since the survivor who is far away will most likely repair those gens.
Okay yes, I can still see it being strong in that scenario. I don't know if that's enough to justify running it for many players though. 3 gens also happen more often from survivor carelessness than the killer forcing it, and even with full thana stacks a 3 gen with 4 survivors alive is far from a guaranteed winning position for the killer.

- Agreed but cleansing against plague to remove thana is never worth it
- If a team mate quits that early you have lost anyway against any killer unless that player is very bad.
1) I do consider cleansing against plague worth it in some situations, depending on what teammates are doing, fountain locations, how the killer is playing...dropping a debuff from 20% to 6% would definitely be worth considering
2) You probably have lost at that point yeah, which makes large slowdowns afterwards extra depressing. Long periods of holding M1 on gens aren't exactly fun anyway, but doing so when there's not really any hope of survival is worse

The only thing that changed for Legion players is, that they´ll keep survivors even more injured. Means less actual downs and way more mends.
Those are going to be really loooooong matches.
The usual counterplay of staying away from other survivors will help with that, if they're regularly able to get all survivors in frenzy, so 3 injures and a down, they would probably be winning without perks.
If they want to drop everything to scour the map for the healthy survivor every time they heal that doesn't sound like a particularly long game at all, more just throwing
-

Problem is, Thana legion still as good as it was, the only problem is that the perk is dead to every other killer
thana legion is definitely not as good as it was. You always have at least one teammate in solo who insists on healing after every frenzy hit. SWF can easily keep one person healthy at pretty much all times. The maximum amount of slowdown was reduced. Once a survivor is dead it'll never go above 6% again. It's been hit hard.

Bhvr: makes a meta shakeup
2 weeks pass
Bhvr: revert the changes Thana has grown in popularity.
Why even do a meta shakeup then, if u don't give time to a meta to emerge. The problems is not Thana (except for legion/plague). The problem is that people didn't learn how to play without clutch perks yet so they fell frustrated + Solo q is terrible, and instead of changing perks u guys should be adding a info hub on solo q, or doing at least some qlof improvements
Because a lot of changes, like the base changes, probably need more time to see how they're working out. On the other hand you don't need months of data to see that thana legion is a grim experience.
-
2 things I like about the thana change, assuming legions and plagues actually still run it which I'm skeptical about
1) Solo teammate who insists on constantly healing against legion or cleansing against plague is actually achieving something for the team, even if entirely by accident.
2) if a teammate DCs or lets go or is tunnelled out at 4/5 gens the rest of us no longer have the pleasure of doing the rest of the gens in a game that's already probably lost 15% slower, plus whatever other slowdowns they have.
-
Current MoM and object work together already, and is a lot stronger as you can heal yourself up, work on gens, and still have the effect.
-
@Sparks741420 said:
the added 2 seconds for other perks is def easily abused...
"Abusing" it with its intended effects? Lol
I like doing 4 aura perks with LP but I can always switch to something more fun and interactive like 4 slowdowns instead
-
Nothing that exciting there but nothing that bothers me much.
Thana - was sick of seeing it, I seem to be in the minority in thinking that even legion and plague mains will probably ditch it but we'll see.
PR/DMS/merciless storm - meh, I don't feel strongly about it
Mettle of man - 2 protection hits is much more doable than 3 so you might actually see it now. I don't understand why people are acting like an integral part of survivor gameplay has been lost forever. You see MoM in 1/50 games and in the games you do see it it gets activated 1/10 times. And yet it's being mourned harder than DH was.
-
1) more consistent matchmaking (new players should have their own queue and not come into contact with experienced players for a while)
2) kindred base without killer aura
3) a base 3 sec DS on unhooks. Current DS can increase the stun time to 4 or something
4) bigger speed boost after unhooks
5) you being banned for being rude about artist
6) base info just so we can see who's being chased doing gens etc. SWF already have this info
7) no more perks that hurt solo way more than SWF, case in point: eruption
8) don't see how deleting RPD will really help solo specifically but it won't hurt to try
-

So you get a 20% slowsown while tunneling one survivor out to get the most easy situaton a 3vs1. Pretty good job so far.
Yeah let me just tunnel a survivor out of the game while taking a break every time another survivor heals to go injure them again before returning to my original target, that's definitely a winning strategy that will happen in every match.
Here's what will actually happen: Thana will be rarely used, if at all.
-
Old PR/DMS:
Gen gives notification when hit. Survivor can partially counter DMS aspect by getting off the gen before hooked, but the killer will still be notified and probably come over. Either way, 45 secs of blocked gen unless you get it done in time first
New PR/DMS:
The same except getting off the gen first means the killer won't be notified at all unless they've also brought surveillance. DMS is shorter anyway.
The combo is way less oppressive than its previous incarnation and it's silly to pretend otherwise
-
Thana is a really good change for soloQ. You'll usually get at least one teammate that insists on healing every time legion hits them or plague infects them. While this wasn't ideal, at least now they'll actually be helping in a way if there's thana.
-
Pain res synergising with DMS again (especially now nerfed) is still more counterable and less stupid than its synergy with merciless storm
-

They put another dev diary out, thana nerfed, DMS nerfed, pain res buffed, mettle of man buffed and nerfed

@squbax said:
Can't prople still just let go of the gen to deny DMS? and since there is no notification, the killer won't 100% go to the gen? I fail to ser how its stronger now when it has even more counterplay.
This.
You can get a notification on top of this if you run surveillance as well but at that point you're dedicating 3 perks to this whole thing
-

Yeah but the whole point of the perk is to tank a hit it was a meme perk At best and it’s the only perk that’s endurance but not endurance so basically to get object value you have to be doing nothing until you’re done with the aura reading assuming that once the endurance status effect goes away so does the aura
True, but I mean leaving it in its current state means it'll still be ignored because it's very hard to activate it without actively throwing
But current effects with only 2 stacks activation would probably be too much
So idk...it'll be weaker in a way but we'll probably actually see it occasionally
-
"Thana is still just as bad, cutting its time in half does nothing "😭
"The survivors win again, killers have to go on strike"😭
