Despite all the complaints about strong perks there's a decent amount of players who don't appreciate losing to weird off-meta stuff either.

I've been using mostly the brown and 1 yellow. I don't have enough purple but they mostly sound very bad
The baby shoes are very nice for direct hits at tiles. The severed tongue just sounds boring on paper but feels very smooth. Severed hands is her strongest and is hilarious paired with discordance. Egg is meh but nice for tracking as @Sadako_Best_Girl said or for counteracting the iri that reduces bird amount.
-
The browns & yellows sound underwhelming on paper but there's some decent ones there. All the purples are great except for the egg thing. I haven't ever used the iris.
-
I got it first go. Also got a 4k.
Yes it was nurse lol

Somewhat. They're more boring then bad. A killer where survivors control the killer power so much is never good design
I can understand that dislike, although it wouldn't have to be exactly like those two, it could be more like dredge who is harder to prevent from charging up. I had an idea a while back which was more of an Oni/dredge style which would be built up more via killer input

Corrupt Purge: A ranged multi-hit ability that gets screwed over by fountain RNG on a killer who is a useless M1 without this power. Injured doesn’t matter if there’s no anti loop and no mobility.
Demon Dash/Strike: A hyper fast dash that can be done continuously across the entire map and an inherent AoE multi-hit instadown that gets screwed over by maps, predropping and running. On a killer who is a useless M1 with literally zero anti loop or mobility until at least the first hit happens, which can easily be delayed for 2-3+ gens.
You sure that’s the examples you want to go with? lmao
So plague and oni are bad killers?
-
Having her power be something you work for. Some powers are strong enough they shouldn't be active all the time (corrupt purge, demon dash & strike) but they're balanced by having restrictions on them.

the problem is what one considers a win. 2k 6-8 hooks is a w....however most killers are under the notion its 4k or bust. and thats the real issue that everyone tends to overlook
I would personally consider 2k a draw but it's a result I'm happy enough with. I don't bother actively trying for 4ks outside of adepts or right challenges, slugging and then searching for the last one is just a very uninteresting and anticlimactic ending to me
-
One of the best things spirit has going for her is a lack of map dependency, her power is just smooth enough it doesn't matter a whole lot. She may be generally overshadowed by blight now but if I had to play a game on lerys or haddonfield I know who I'd pick.
-
At 30 hours in this is a normal viewpoint and experience to have. Being a new killer is a lot easier than being a new survivor (assuming that matchmaking is pairing you with new survivors too). Even a couple of experienced survivors may fall to a newer killer if they have teammates who don't contribute much.
Killer does get harder. And solo survivor will still be pretty hard as well, at least both roles will take some degree of effort barring no throwing from the other side. But most of the
weird nerds with no livesexperienced players with a lot of hours will agree that with all players correctly using the tools available to them, survivors will win out. In standard, average MMR gameplay it'll usually fall to whoever is more skilled, got more lucky, played more brutally, and/or brought the strong stuff. -
I only run auras on blight and artist now. Currently Blight is LP, BBQ, I'm all ears (I accidentally typed this as "I'm all auras" the first time) and floods of rage, artist is the same with IAE swapped for gearhead
-
I just had a game there 😒 yes I also noticed the chest by getting a prompt when next to it. The killer was a hag, there was a hacker on my team, pretty terrible round overall really

She's not the best killer, she's the ONLY killer to play in this game sadly. If you play any other killer you in a disadvantage towards survivors to begin with.
Sorry for trying to win a videogame kekw
You need to be more careful with those blinks Sally, you seem to have given yourself a concussion of some sort

Bhvr could drastically reduce tunnelling overnight if they only had the guts to delete the frosty eyes cosmetics.

Not sure if I was on auto haven recently played a lot of huntress farm games trying to get people to help with that achievement challenge (41/100) I usually run hex pentimento and distressing (pentimento being a good farm for survivors for extra totem cleansing points)
probably not actually I think I would've noticed a huntress with distressing
Is that the long range down achievement? I think I have 1/100 and I might've been aiming for a survivor in front of me rather than the one at the other end of the map 😅

There is a chance that could have been me not entirely sure but when I play huntress I am not going for kills unless doing a challenge for kills because I am trying to finish the down 100 survivors from further than 24m I suck as huntress lol
I can't remember the survivor I was playing but it was an autohaven map and I had OoO I believe
-
Maybe I still have covid after all and patch 6.1.0. was just something I dreamt up during the fever because half the forum seems to think it never happened
-
I had a huntress a couple days ago who was headed for a 0k but I was partly being nice and partly making sure I got my chase challenge done so ran back into the map during EGC and got her attention for some more chasing.
Once she did catch me she threw me out the exit gate anyway which is what usually happens if I try to give killers a freebie. I do the same as killer yet I won't turn down a free hatch as survivor, idk why

What if they pallet stun me, sensei?
Up here in highest MMR we tend to respect every pallet to avoid stuns so it sounds like you're dealing with a hacker. DC and/or tunnel

@HugTheHag said:
True. It's ridiculous how the fear of the sweaty comp 4-man SWF is ingrained in the mind of some killers, when its literally such a rare demographic of survivors that even in high mmr you won't encounter them that often. It's all-encompassing to the point that a lot of new killer players who watch content creators will actually shake in their boots in the lobby if they smell a possible SWF (or even a single flashlight).
Accoding to my friend, half the teams he faces are well-coordinated 3 and 4-men who will BM him every match. Yet I've seen maybe one genuine "bully squad" since I started playing. We're in the same killer mmr bracket. And it's not high.
There is just a lot of paranoia in this game.
I've won plenty of solo games then been accused of being in a 4-man SWF in postgame chat even though my friends' list is public. People don't like losing against solos at all and would rather believe that the only way they could ever lose is though a highly disciplined squad all on comms using their advanced training to call out everything the killer does before it even happens
-
Quick guide on whether or not tunnelling is necessary:
You're playing nurse/blight - you're a max MMR God, you have to tunnel
You're playing anyone else - your killer is too weak, you have to tunnel
Your survivors seem to have a vague understanding of what pallets and windows are - elite SWF, activate tunnel protocols
Your survivors are urban evading through the foliage - advanced SWF tactic to make you let your guard down. Don't be fooled, get to tunnelling
Survivor does anything - this is BM, you know what must be done to restore your honour
Survivor is bad in chase - tunnel the weak link!
Survivor is good in chase - THEYRE MAKING YOU LOOK STUPID DELETE THEM
Survivor is average in chase - hmm idk better tunnel them to be on the safe side
-
I've seen multiple people who claim they're at "high level play" or what have you and who also stream, obviously out of interest you check their stream and then it's just sweaty perks & playstyle with very mediocre gameplay and opponents.
There are are a few people whose word I'd take for it but not many of them, especially on here
-
BT & babysitter & no one left behind, I've already been enjoying making my teammates fly off the hook so now for even more of that

4/5 gens? That's pretty near endgame, and apparently a lot of survivors cared, otherwise they wouldn't have made thread after thread complaining about it. And I never said I cared about getting camped endgame, so.
No I mean 4/5 left to be done, so near the start of the game.

@My_Aespa said:

Camping after the exit gates are powered is probably the biggest issue since that's when it is more than likely to happen. That's probably why the perk was made in the first place because so many survivors complained about camping after the exit gates were powered, that's when I get camped 100% of the time anyway.
Who cares about being camped in endgame, there's nothing else for the killer to do. Having a leatherface staring at you for minutes on end with 4/5 gens left is the thing which actually sucks
-
@ByeByeQ said:
They said certain killers, so it's plural. I imagine they mean Nurse, Blight and Spirit. But yeah, Nurse would be the worst offender.
Exposed perks aren't great on blight and aura ones aren't on spirit, there'd only be one killer realistically running AA/starstruck/LP

it is in rare occasions dependent on who the killer is. bubba and huntress can eat 2 health states in time, i think trickster can, tombstone myers can mori through endurance, but thats it as far as im aware
Plague when corrupt
-
Shocked but unsurprised that BHVR has once again decided to cave in after survivor mains cried that they couldn't get an ez unhook for free. In my MMR bracket I have no option but to stand in front of you hitting you on the hook, chasing you when you get unhooked, getting bodyblocked by your teammates, and then DCing when I forget where you went. Otherwise I would simply lose.
Nah just kidding it's a nice change, get absolutely ######### basement hags
-
Carmina nooo we don't use the charcoal stick
-
If you're near a strong window or pallet it doesn't matter it it's 3 seconds or 5 seconds. Unless it's a nurse, and then it still doesn't matter if it's 3 seconds or 5 seconds.
You have to plan where you get downed more, although obviously there's some situations where that's not always an option

I've been maining survivor since sbmm came out lol
Being a survivor main or killer main on the forums is less about what role you play and more about what opinions you have, you'll get used to it
-
@Metronix said:
I'm afraid to ask, but I didn't kept track. How did the old one worked?
Pre nerf, every time you looked in the direction of the killer you would see each others' auras
Some time before that undetectable wasn't a thing and you could still stare at wraith, pig or ghostface while they were using their powers
And before that lockers didn't cause blindness so you could watch the killer from in there without being seen yourself
-
These are subjective. I find artist fun to go against, I find trapper a snooze
We definitely have a few dislikes in common though

You are forgetting one small fact: killers are not the only role played by humans.
I'm not sure I follow
-
I've seen a fair amount from late 10s to early 30s. Interestingly none of them were very good which makes the pre-match musical chairs funnier
-
I keep seeing some version of your last paragraph and I still don't get it. It usually goes like:
-"Killer is so easy it's boring, I 4k every time playing nurse and blight with meta perks and their best add-ons and tunnelling at 5 gens"
-"So don't do any of that"
-"No"
If you're wanting a challenge play padded jaws trapper with no perks or something. Send yourself to eyrie too if you like. I assume no one has a gun to your head demanding that you finish off your collection of alchemist rings.
-
Almost everyone hates RPD as it is. You can blame the other side all you want but few people like playing on it as either side.
-
Yes I enjoy the new pre-game ritual where the survivors dodge each other until you finally get 4 willing to play, at which point the matchmaking is so borked there's an 8k hour legacy Nea and a Claudette with no perks except tier 1 self-care. Truly what the game was missing.

As someone who doesn't really play her is she always that janky on RPD? I was having a lot of issues trying to blink from one level to another in the main area so the Feng was able to buy some time just running up and down the stairs

Oh yeah someone whose entire history is only about killer buffs and complaining about old Dead Hard, makes a topic to explain the world that it is now a fantastic & balanced perk
OP, would you mind recording some of your own survivor gameplay and show us your skills with this fantastic perk? I would particularly like you to demonstrate these "mindgames / precise timing" you're talking about, specifically against Legion, VPN players etc.
Dead hard is growing in popularity again, at least on my end. Not as much as before but I'm starting to see games with 3 dead hards again. You might not be able to use it but that doesn't make it bad. Some can't get flashlight saves, that doesn't mean flashlights don't so anything.
-
I played her for about the first time in 6 months for the rift challenge, sure everyone had a great time
-
Also this kind of malding in the endgame chat isn't bannable and shouldn't be, unlike racial slurs death threats etc etc
But players who aren't mature enough to participate in it properly & just use it to screech at the other side or their teammates should have their access to it removed, their presence adds nothing of value.
-
Who was the OP killer, out of interest?
-
It takes quite a few games as her to consistently hit multiple long range shots in a match but it is extremely rewarding when you do. I love playing artist. She's one of the few killers that I feel like idgaf if I win or lose because I'm having a blast either way. If you watch artist mains who stream you can feel the enthusiasm for playing her as well, she gets more fun the more you play her.

If your teammate spent nearly three minutes to figure out how to route to a big glowy box that he could see through walls I've got bad news for you: you were not going to win that game regardless of killer. If he couldn't find the thing you can see at all times he certainly can't find gens. If he's enough of a potato to run into the same room multiple times then he certainly can't run the killer for any appreciable time.
A good point

I'm sorry that your teammate took nearly three minutes to find the right TV? I can only assume they were doing a gen and ignoring the tape cuz while rpd is big and annoying it's not " takes three minutes to make a lap" annoying.
Nope, as far as I could tell he was trying to get there the whole time. But yes I'm also sorry that occurred
-
There is one map which her power was actually an issue for me.
RCPD and she had the purple addon where you start with the tape. One of us, the Adam, wasn't able to find the route to his TV and...yeah. 0 hooks one dead at 5 gens, of all my solo games that was definitely one of them
-
Once we've nerfed trapper we can take a look at oreo
