Why is your answer that and not just have an accessibility option that replaces Plague's puke with something else visually shaders-wise so it's not puke-like?

Because I hadn't thought of that but yes that would be a simpler solution 🤔 they already have the blue version from nemesis anyway

  • I kind of wish you could pick one killer to have a reduced chance to encounter just for accessibility's sake. Like I do get survivors who quit on learning I'm a plague and although it's mostly not liking her a couple have apologised and said they just can't handle the vomiting. I can't even be mad in that scenario it would just be better to not be matched with them. Yes you'd have to manage how it works with SWF, and yes most people have no specific phobias and will just pick the one they dislike most but I don't see that as such a big deal, there's a lot of other killers out there.

3 is too much especially if there's no restrictions. 4-man squads carefully picking out the 12 strongest killers to avoid would not be healthy for the game at all.

Your idea also contradicts itself. You say it can show which killers are OP and then picked 3 which you don't find OP yourself.

Anyway to eventually answer the question I'd go for clown, bubba and pinhead

It was a PC Nurse, playing through the Epic Games Launcher.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3136758#Comment_3136758

    Post-Game Chat Logs

Me: Why did you BM me?

Nurse: I didn't BM you. I was BMing your teammates

    Me: How? They all left

Nurse: I thought you were SWF and they d/c'd for you to get hatch

I talked to the Nurse for like 3 minutes after this match. The vibe I got was this person has a lot of bottled anger, and they assume the worst of survivors in every match. In their eyes, they earned the right to gloat because they prevented 4 sleazy survivors from creating their own win condition.

The vibe I got was this person has a lot of bottled anger

Yeah lol it's a nurse, just look at any post on here suggesting any mild nerf or rework

True, but did you watch the footage? Yet, what’s up with the BM from the Nurse player? Unless something else happened during that match the OP neglected to tell us it seems a bit uncalled for.

The killer valiantly won a 1v1 battle against a sweaty survivor (not just one or two but all 4 of the hated boon perks) while playing the slowest killer in the game, she deserves to bask in her glorious victory.

  • Yeah multiple people explained to you in that other thread why this clip is really not a good example of effective use of his pallet vault but I guess you're still quite attached to it

  • Considering his power seems usable in most places, can be used for mobility, infection slows survivors down and he can kinda temporarily ignore god pallets I'm kinda surprised he's not 110

Caveat though I didn't play the PTB so haven't gone as or against him, not saying that's what he should be just what I would've expected

  • @BlackRabies said:

Ehhhhh, that's a legit question I'm wondering myself now. If it does work and only cures the infection and not the health state I'll run that perk over Thana.

Seeing a survivor cleanse and stay broken would be hilarious. Thanks for the free fountain

  • That is pretty common for survivors to do if they're the no-heal types so yeah worth a shot

  • Assembling my legal team as we speak. Not just going for BHVR, Amazon too. I'm going to have Bezo's head on a stick

  • Yeah 😒

I'm hoping we get trapper's default outfit for next month.

  • My guess is they decided it wasn't counterable. And then yeah they went and added the killer instinct addon but consistency isn't always BHVR's strong point

  • If the hook is nearby and I see another survivor headed there then I probably will go interfere yeah

  • Artist - love injuring people on the other side of the map. Unlike huntress it doesn't matter how much crap is in the way, birds will prevail

Plague - I enjoy strategising about the best time to make a dive for the fountain. Less important but still nice is a big middle finger to medkits and COH

Blight - constant action. No waddling over to a gen which gets done before you get there or after a survivor whose W key has gotten stuck, just rush, bounce, rush, hit, and so on

Pig - an old favourite, and probably still the killer I'm best with somehow so she doesn't feel so out of place among the other actually decent killers I play often

Spirit - outplaying survivors with her is fun. Also just a very cool character in general

  • Shout out to the teammate who refused to heal me against legion with new thana (or let me heal him, I don't care who gets healed as long as one person is uninjured at all times possible)

  • Demo, can get away quickly to kick off the effect. And also return quickly

  • Being tunnelled isn't fun but you're not going to stop it by appealing to people's sense of honour, it needs to be done through gameplay changes.

It is very often the most winning tactic. You can't have a tactic in a PvP which is permitted in-game and is highly effective but which everyone avoids out of moral considerations. That will never happen.

    TL;dr -

telling the devs to make tunnelling less viable - 👍

telling other players they're dirty tunnelers and should be ashamed - 👎

  • Put discordance and severed hands on artist, there won't be much PT value in that round

  • Does he keep collision? I.e. would the survivor have been able to do that if he hasn't moved away from the pallet? Because I don't think survivors can do that to legion.

  • @Cameragosha said:

Being able to vault pallets is more unique and probably stronger than just breaking if it's a god pallet. I think you'd regret bringing that addon on the game.

That clip shows an obviously absurd way to use his power, you don't need to break that pallet let alone vault it. You're probably not going to see much of that on live.

  • I like it. I can't complain when it's used against me and I feel pretty satisfied when I pull it off.

  • It's mostly just oversaturation really, some days I just feel I'd be seeing less nemesis if I quit dbd and booted up RE3 instead.

  • I don't want it to be nerfed because of trolls, or nerfed at all, I want the capacity for it to be used to do stupid ######### taken away.

"Dude, no one, including me, wants to be in a match for over 20 minutes just because the killer is camping. No one is gonna troll someone on live servers"

That's just not true. It doesn't happen often but the last 2 survivors taking the game hostage by hiding and climbing in and out of lockers until they're found is a thing that happens. EGC had to be made because the last survivor could also do that solo. When I first started before EGC existed and I got a 0k I'd sometimes put the controller down, go prepare and have dinner, come back 40 minutes to see the match was still ongoing. The playerbase has no shortage of weird children with a lot of free time.

  • Yeah it feels kinda pay to win. Or pay to not lose, whichever.

I don't have an issue with the mechanics of the perk itself I just don't like it being part of a cash-only dlc.

  • @Sluzzy said:

Hook suiciding shows the state of the game where survivor is really hopeless and unwinnable.

Survivors would be better to take a pass on queuing up, otherwise DLCs will always be centered around OP killers, strong killer perks, and nerfing survivors with weak perks.

I feel like reassurance is going to be the first ever survivor perk you'll want to see nerfed

  • I mean if you're close enough to a strong window or pallet it's not much different than before. The exception is nurse which it doesn't do much against but then again it never really did

  • make the most of it for the next few weeks, you won't be doing that on my watch

    rebeccachambers.jpg

  • Even if another asymm comes out and it ticks all the right boxes, as well balanced as possible, fun to play as the survivor equivalent, fun to play as the killer equivalent, enjoyable to watch (for growth by streaming), decent queue times decent matchmaking etc etc...

I still don't see how it could ever compete with the variety dbd has. Especially games focused on one franchise, like playing as Jason is cool and getting to play as slightly different Jasons is nice enough you'll never get to play a game where the demogorgon chases characters from resident evil and silent hill around lampkin lane

They specifically said that the speed was intended. I guess they caved to crying once again

    The entitlement lmao

Even the biggest nurse defenders said that aspect was stupid

  • Its nice to know I have to drop the pallet 5 minutes early before figuring that out in my first chase but I'd rather see in the lobby

  • Im not sure that clip you posted helps the argument much

"Like maybe I'm used to it being easy on survivor but this ######### is hard now" <- direct quote

Both sides should in fact need to put in effort to win, this is a good thing.

You shouldn't be consistently effortlessly 4king as legion either, I don't know if you play at weird times of day but teams running self-care and technician should be facing other new players. If you're letting a lot of survivors escape, stop doing that. It's nice for them but you ultimately just end up smurfing whether that's your intention or not.

  • Honestly if you're playing nurse on switch run whatever you like

  • Artist, blight, plague, spirit - if I'm playing multiple killer games in one session I'll do at least 2 of these, probably 3

Otherwise I have some old favourites, pig, hag etc who I might do if I'm in the mood

Then I usually have a flavour of the month who I'm currently enjoying but will probably get tired of, it's currently dredge

And then the rejects who I'll avoid playing without a really good reason - billy, nurse, twins, trickster, cenobite, nemesis, executioner. Although if I'm in a strange mood I still might anyway just for laughs

  • @NemmyMan3000 said:

Its a playstyle. Let her play and just move on with your match, no need to be toxic

Teabagging a killer to incite them into chasing you is also a playstyle

  • Ok my own one I'm proud of mostly because no one really plays against plague that strategically. I'm on a gen, fully infected, plague is chasing an already injured survivor, and I realise that there's only two available fountains left and both are very near me. I run over to one, cleanse, run back to my gen, infect myself again, run over to the other one and cleanse again. She gets her power just after she downs the survivor and loses all her fountains, then doesn't find any of the rest of us until after it's gone.

Faced a Legion with two "Mend yourself and get penalized" add-ons

I happened to have Exponential equipped

Placed Boon at far end of map

Get Deep Wounds, run to Boon area

Allow Mend timer to deplete, downing me

    Pick myself up, NO PENALTY

Do this multiple times until the other Survivors realize what I'm doing

    They start doing it too

Legion can't commit to a chase without abandoning a 3-gen they had set up

Thankfully, Legion realizes what's happening and D/Cs after about 20 minutes of this

And that's how you win in Solo Q

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/CZ7TR1M06T0U/8ccdcc1d-e9ee-4695-bc34-9a23a8ffc0c3.jpeg

    That is brilliant honestly

I'm sure the legion DCed out of respect

  • It doesn't mean that. Two opposing groups both claiming "the other side" is favoured and "their side" is treated unfairly doesn't mean both cancel each other out. Both sides have been saying this from the start and dbd is not a game that has been perfectly balanced for 7 years.

Both sides can be guilty of being whiners, of wanting to have to put in less effort to win than the other side, who think that their preferred role is a Herculean effort while their opponents win by pressing a sequence of buttons like a trained monkey. Their motivations being the same doesn't mean their arguments hold equal weight. For the record I think the game is as balanced right now as I've seen it but I just dislike this argument.

To be fair, there are valid times to cleanse before unhooking a sick survivor. When a plague is hanging near the hook it's too unsafe to attempt a rescue while injured so you need to heal just so you can trade.

There are good occasions to cleanse and good ways of going about it but sadly I don't really see survivors being strategic about it all that often. It seems more a determination to always either cleanse ASAP or not cleanse at all, regardless of other factors in the match.

Prior to the hatch rework, when it would spawn before the last survivor was left, I was playing with a friend with two other randoms. We were down to the final gen, meaning hatch had spawned when the killer eliminated one survivor. My friend has committed to a gen and was downed as he finished it and was hooked. Moving into range to get a save, I watched the other random -- who had never been hooked -- sprint AWAY from me and my hooked friend (I was injured, and had no way to heal). The survivor definitely saw me, went right by me, and had too much distance on me to catch up to them to get a heal. Instead, they had booked it to the hatch, used the key they'd brought in, and essentially left me and my friend in a hopeless situation. They could have healed me, we could have coordinated a rescue, and all three of us could have gotten out, but their selfishmess gave the killer an easy 3K. :shakeshead:

Special props recently to another random (matched with our 3-person SWF) who, against a Plague and already infected, but not broken, cleansed on the way to rescuing me off a hook while I was fully infected. They immediate;y got re-infected the moment they pulled me off, AND they gave the Plague -- who was relatively close -- her power to immediately down both of us shortly after. Truly a 200 IQ play by them. It was almost as if they had never faced a Plague before.

    @Laluzi said:

About two weeks ago, I had a match where I made it to the endgame versus a Blight, but got hooked for the first time right as the gates were powered. There were two survivors at a gate very close to where I was hooked and one on the other gate across the map.

Blight goes after the Yun-Jin, who leads him away from the gate. Jake was hiding in the corner outside the gate and goes back to open the gate. He's healthy and I'm 15 meters away. Blight just downed Yun-Jin a fair distance away and picked her up, so he's assuredly occupied. It's already confirmed he does not have NOED.

Ignoring me on the hook, completely free for the save, Jake opens the gate and leaves.

Meanwhile, I rescued this Jake twice, healed him up three times, and bodyblocked for him the second unhook when the killer came back and tried to get him out - which led to the chase I eventually got downed for. People making suicidally stupid decisions is just another Tuesday in solo queue, but for this one, I was so pissed off.

I'm not sure if this one counts because I was the killer and it wasn't a teammate, but I was Plague and I had to stop and surgically remove one player because this Mikaela set up Circle of Healing six times. She wasn't just rekindling snuffed boons, she kept moving it. Meanwhile I had nine hooks at four gens left. I wonder why gens weren't progressing.

It wasn't even Shadow Step/CoH, it was just CoH. Pure Mikaela stereotype right there.

A lot of my dumb survivor experiences involve plague as well. I've seen infected & injured (but not broken) survivors selfcaring quite a few times, but often I'm the plague in those situations so I'm pretty comfortable with that happening.

Honourable mention to a recent Yun-Jin who made sure to cleanse before DCing

And yeah, a lot of CoH.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

Recently I had a bill flashlight the moving killer instead of bodyblocking for me at the exit gate and I proceeded to die

also had like 5 games today where a teammate vaulted through a window I was approaching mid chase

Always the Bills. There's something about that character, even when I play him for a daily or something I feel like my IQ has been halved

    @[Deleted User] said:

I had an Ace yesterday who gave up the second he was hooked but someone saved him regardless he stood pointing at the hook for killer (blight) to kill him the blight declined the request so Ace spent the rest of the game making sure we were all killed off one by one.

I was last he bodyblocked me on the stairs so blight could take me out then as blight proceeded to smack me on hook for the duration Ace just did a continuous t bag dance around it.

Tbags, flashlights, camping, tunneling or none of that stuff really triggers me (the vast majority of the time anyway) but survivors like this really **** me off!

Killer too like just kill him or ignore him if you need a survivors help to get you a win good luck when your mmr moves you to the next level!

Needing a pet survivor to win as blight is a bit embarrassing, yeah.

  • I'm not sure if it's conspiracy theory anymore if you play 10 games with the same map in 5 of them, considering how many there are.

  • 1) They know how games without circle of healing go because there are games without circle of healing

    2) They already know things like average killrate per map, not that I'm going to complain about eyrie or garden being disabled for any reason at all

    3) Kinda the same as 1 but a zero slowdown period would be interesting. You might also just get a load of people just not play killer until they have them back

this is true, i tend to take long breaks when the game just isn't fun anymore and usually i come back enjoying myself again. not a lot has happened that has made me genuinely consider quitting, honestly there are only a few things that could get me to do so at this point. future collaborations with companies like ubisoft, crypto grifts or pay to play mechanics are my breaking point. otherwise i'm sinking with the game also i just loaded into a match whoops

without breaks I'd burn out completely. When I first got the game (late 2018, free on PS+) I was obsessed with it and played it in all my spare time but no way I could sustain that now...which is probably for the best

the few weeks before a midchapter is always a good time for it when there's no active rift and not much going on

  • @AnneBonny said:

if i could go back and stop myself from paying for anything in this game i would do so in a heartbeat. now i feel like i've sunk too much in to give up on it.

If you genuinely don't enjoy this game anymore you shouldn't stick with it. Continuing to play won't make the money and time you've invested worth it, it's just continuing to spend time on something you dislike.

  • She's hard for me, I struggle against anyone who's not even vaguely potato.

Arguing over her difficulty is a red herring anyway. People got annoyed at old spirit because she got excellent results while being easy as piss to play as. But even if she was difficult it wouldn't matter, there was nothing consistent you could do. Killers that take specific effort to learn should be the stronger ones, that doesn't mean once they've gotten good at them they should rarely lose.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

I was watching a video of someone playing on Hawkins Lab, and while I remember hating it, I miss it. Variety is the spice of life and I had some good chases on there. It needs to come back with a few well placed bushes.

I miss seeing shirtless Davids. They seem to be a rare species these days.

I had a shirtless David today, he was wearing the st Patrick's hat and jeans.

I was playing blight so I switched to the matching set, of course

  • It's even better when there was a DC at 5 gens 👍

But also not new. It's the opposite of new.

  • I'm having pretty decent ones.

    This morning:

    Demogorgon - RCPD

4k - 1 gen left - Would've probably gone better if the Meg who burned the map offering didn't afk half the match. Killer also had monstrous shrine which is a rough map for it. Demo seemed annoyed at me, I was running shadowstep so probably figured I was involved in the offering

    Legion - Gideon's

?k - ?gens left - I died first and didn't stick around to see results. The legion tunnelled me off both hooks but then left me slugged to get picked up? Which is nice, I guess

    Nemesis - Shelter Woods

4k - 0 gens left - This was the best one. Gave up my shot at hatch/gate since I was playing Jill and he had a mori

So yeah, fun enough, sadly no escapes but also no camping/tunnelling (unless you count the legion but seeing as he didn't follow through I don't really)

  • Lol the bamboozle

Just for that I'll accept anything you say about nurse as fact

  • You can have calm spirit returned, in all its former glory.
