Don’t worry, there is nothing in the new patch for survs, nothing
Which is a shame, I was hoping the bonus HUD info would come quicker. SoloQ has been rough recently.
-
I'm not wading into the noed argument, but balancing the game doesn't mean you have to automatically nerf or buff something on one side every time it happens to the other side. If the devs nerf noed it should be because they decide it's overpowered or unfun, not because survivors will be upset with the COH nerf and killers should also have something taken away to cheer them up.

MMR is being tested, which means various changes are happening day to day (each day something different is being tested), it's not off though.
Will we get to know what was going on each day after the tests are over, just for the sake of curiosity?
-
What @GentlemanFridge said, it shows istelf after you hook a survivor, with or without BBQ. And it's a much less tedious way of doing it than just going about searching for it, there's no need to do that.

So what? He has the right to be one. Conformism is a modern disease.
This is such a weird comment, I like it

That was a terrible campaign. I'm british and a snowflake and still not into the idea.
(To non-brits yeah that is a real army recruitment poster)

How about an anti-Feng tome? Escape as any survivor (except Feng)
Escape a chase using any exhaustion perk (except lithe)
complete one trial with 0 Fengs left alive.

Überhaupt nicht legal aber ich glaube auch nicht, dass ein Screenshot reichen würde. Sowas kann man fälschen.

Legion and Ghost Face changes.
I can’t wait until they make Legion’s god awful fatigue time even longer. It’s gonna be great.
Missing a frenzy attack will now cause a random gen to be completed

Usually any nerfs mean you barely see a killer for months after that. Happened the first time spirit was nerfed, first time Freddy was nerfed, when billy was nerfed (he never came back, rip) when pyramid head was nerfed, deathslinger, nurse, Freddy again, spirit again.

Rip are my previous comments in other threads biased? Be honest because If you think I am then I might need to change the way I answer
you come across as extremely biased towards both sides.
-
COH deserved its nerfs, boil over should never have gone live in that state, but I agree parental guidance never even had a chance (I wouldn't see it being that popular originally, but it might've seen some use)

I'm a big fan of Halloween which is one of the reasons it annoys me that Myers has always been so oppressive and unfun to go against.
His addons need to be gutted but the worst part is the tier 3 instadown which is objectively broken. Tier 3 should only injure, but apply deep wounds on already injured survivors. That way there's still some slowdown potential and Myers will attract actually skilled players rather than killer mains thirsty for an effortless 4k.
-
Boon boon boon boon
I want you in my room
-
Hard no. Either it blew up immediately and you wish you'd brought something else or it lasted for ages and carried you completely.
Running a killer for ages and nothing getting done was also extremely irritating if your teammates couldn't hit greats.
Counterpoint - without old ruin there are no consistent parts of survivor gameplay that involve skill outside of directly interacting with the killer. I.e. a survivor with 20 hours and a survivor with 2000 hours can complete their objective equally well

The problem i have is that its so easy to be looped below as your rush is basically non existant but i guess i just gotta learn when not to rush too
I'm not an amazing blight but I'd try rushing as often as possible even downstairs - like the point I almost threw here in the first few minutes was one time not using it'll just be pallet after pallet if you don't get there first Miscellaneous gideon tip - the four upstairs machines in that one room at about 5:10 are usually slippery, can get some niche value from that (unless they changed his sliding? I haven't played him in ages)
Also you could always practice by spamming meat plant offerings on him. You might suffer at first but I'm sure you'll come to appreciate it

The game is probably my favourite blight map tbh (hate it as everyone else) no specific advice I can think of though.

We don't know if it is a bug. I'm not willing to go down the what if lane without BHVR actually addressing this issue.
If it isn't then it's meant to be that way.
It's acknowledged as a bug in that section
Although I'd prioritise killswitching at least one of the two perks which create an exploit

So, ok. Disclaimer I'm definitely not an expert at all, but just in the first 3 minutes I saw you make a few small mistakes that loose you time.
You respected a pallet completely unnecessarily, letting the survivor greed it. Don't respect pallets. Ever.
You ran shack the wrong direction. Just recently learned this myself, but you are supposed to make the survivors run it so they enter through the pallet door.
You ran back to a completed generator a bit late because you were finishing a hook. A perfectly fine move, but then when you didn't see anything, you remained, checked the rocks and whatnot. When the survivors finished the Gen they don't linger, there was absolutely no reason for them to be hiding around. On this situation you make a quick visual check to see if you can find where are they scurrying to and get into a chase. If you don't , you go back to hook and potentially get an easy hit on the unhooker, but you missed this because you delayed at the finished Gen.
Small things like this add up very quickly in the early game.
On demo you can run shack and L T walls the 'wrong' way and just shred em
-
Yeah I think even the UK spelling of it is censored
-
What do you mean by "nice", as in like farming or just joking around with the survivors the whole game?
-
Nurse is fun to go against as long as it isn't every match. Not wanting her to be nerfed is reasonable. Trying to argue that she's balanced is ridiculous.
-
I just wait til rank reset for adepts, makes it pretty trivial
-
If there's one good looper and the rest are terrible I might focus on the former if I feel like a challenge. I'm more likely to learn something or at least get a satisfying down from them.

Oh come all you Forum dwellers,
Survivor and killer main alike.
Answer me this question which
Came to me as a spike
Of curiosity,
Of pure contemplation
Why, when you're about to spin,
Must you click across the nation?
I've seen this tactic far and wide,
One click of flashlights bright.
And every time, yes, every time
It brings me naught but fright.
For I ask myself, why, oh dear survivor
Do you telegraph your movements so?
I may simply stand and wait,
Watching you move to and fro.
Whenever these things arise
Simply from the blue
I find myself falling a victim
Far more than you.
However when you tell me
Where your intent lies
Then I may counter, adapt, predict,
And strike you down before my eyes.

Analysing poetry has had no effect on my writing abilities, they're still awful.

Having to translate poetry at uni put me off it a bit, honestly more stressful than this one academic article on German bridge ramp maintenance I did more recently

Would rather be looped to oblivion, yes. Getting survivors who run in straight lines and instantly drop any pallet is what I expect from survivors with either 3 or 3000 hours thankfully I usually get the ones somewhere inbetween

Knowledge is power in DBD. If you could know who was the most condemned stacks, you know who to seek out. You know who aggressively gets rid of condemned and who is more patient. Knowing who to chase at any given time would make the teleporting strategy more popular, which shouldn't happen.
I'm also not sure why
-
@Mooks said:
I thought they just wanna fake Dead Harding in your direction as clicking to instantly spin and then using DH is a pretty common move?
it's usually after they've already used DH, although I have seen that too

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/313465/click-spin
It's actully easier to make a killer miss if you do this. Clicking the flashlight faces you forward so then a nice and easy spin can be done and the killer wiffs
I mean as I said I fall for 360s much more if they aren't choreographed
but I could just be spreading sneaky killer misinformation
-
No but it only takes one of those games to make me want to stick with blight forever.
I mostly get it on pig (otherwise unbeatable due to her extreme anti-loop potential)
-
The statistics decreed that killers were not kicking them enough and have been rightfully punished for their inaction.
They offered you breakable walls and you spät in their face.
Edit: German autocorrect, I'll fix it in the next patch

I swear I remember hearing someone say, somewhere and somewhen, that it helped with animation resetting for facilitating a proper 360. No idea if that was ever true, let alone whether it is now, but it's something that surfaces in my brain whenever I see someone do it.
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Basically, if you click your light, your character model automatically turns to the direction your camera is in. If you look behind you, your model automatically does a complete 180, which then makes spinning slightly easier. It also makes faking a spin a lot lot easier which, with so many people expecting it, means they'll likely swing early expecting a spin and then miss.
Interesting. I don't swing early when I expect a spin though anyway I kinda wait until they're done, possibly bc I learned killer on PS4

Bar go gold dopamine go brrr
Hence the beta wiggle system stays on

How'd you rate her amongst the stealth killers?

One of the reasons I don't tunnel is those sort of survivors. Wish there were more but that's life.
Then again I haven't gotten any salt in a while so can't complain

That would make you get hook smacked more. It tells killers that by hook smacking you are rewarding a survivor for a good chase.
That's how I interpreted it anyway lmao
-
Emblems idc give me points. With bonus points for each hook smack.
-
it isn't very impactful no. Once on death hook it goes from extremely mild inconvenience to complete non-issue. Also letting it fill up once on death hook is a good way to draw attention away from your teammates as she'll likely throw the game for a chance to actually get to do it.
-
Yeah it's always been you can theoretically get one shotted, hooked, unhooked, healed, and instadowned again which is pretty funny (maybe more so for the killer than yourself)

Uhhh Shadowstep is super annoying. Not sure why you would think it's not good.
Removing a core game mechanic from the killer = 0 value? You lose LOS for 2 seconds and your chase is over, because it's not like you can actually track people by sound in this busted game. Half the time the footsteps are silent!
I get midwich so often when I'm running shadowstep, it's legit disgusting on that map
-
You are correct, the Oreō is extremely oppressive as is her skill check perk (skill checks in general tbh) and likely unbeatable outside of a 5-man SWF. I had to go back to elden ring to chill out and relax after that gruelling experience.
-
@Sluzzy said:
Yeah, it might be the worst perk in the game. Should be 7% minimum with a larger radius or last longer after leaving the area.
Sluzzy your killer privilege is showing. It should be at least a 150% speed increase and cover the entire map.
-
"While we're nerfing spirit we really should take a look at that iri add-on of hers"
"We'll get on that ASAP. In fact we'll straight up delete it and replace it with something else"
"You do know which of the two I'm talking ab-"
"Well if that's everything I should to get back to working on pig's new lullaby. We need to organise a trip down to the farm to record some oinking."
-
I miss R6S sometimes. I only really quit because not enough friends were into it and soloing can be awful (there's a similarity the two games have right there)
I was never any good but was proud of my imaginative frost mat placements, made more than a couple of plats ragequit after getting caught in one which is all I can ask for really.
Sadly Ubisoft were always blinded to the one simple change that players of all levels of skill and experience would be able to get behind, which is nerfing pig
-
Nothing tilts me more in this game than getting billy as survivor and a teammate rage quitting. Hope they get basement bubbas for the next 50 games. Or nurse with infectious fright/starstruck/knockout

Literally no one said the flashlight issues should stay as they are.
This is the annoying part of this whole thread, that we pretty much all agree on that but it veered off onto a discussion of personal/familial responsibility around one specific incident, when this will happen again anyway.
@MandyTalk could we get a dev response on addressing this issue at some point in the near future?

I agree, so I'm a bit sad that she has a lullaby when undetectable. I'm really hoping that it won't take too much away from her surprise/scare potential.
She caught me off guard a lot so I'm holding out for survivors as clueless as myself
-
Yeah, I like stealth killers. They're never the strongest but scaring survivors is always fun.
