I know right? I posted this yesterday too…
- They can still see you
- Still leave blood pools
- Still leave scratch marks
- Still scream
- Still have aura revealed
- Still susceptible to killer instinct
- Still make running sounds
- Negated while infected by Plague or Nemesis
But no.. Iron Will OP BHVR PLZ!!!
Edit: Oh, and only does anything by being and staying injured of course. Isn’t that to the killer’s advantage?
You might be angry about the change but it's pretty clear the nerfs were based on pick rate rather than complaints seeing as spine chill was rarely complained about by killers and self care never. Contrary to popular belief forum randos don't actively participate in balancing decisions.
-
More spread out between characters but my max was around 70 on artist which I thought was pretty good until opening this thread
-
If an unhooked survivor that I've left alone comes and jumps in a locker in front of me, yes I'll eat it and down and hook them again. I wouldn't exactly call it tunnelling if they instigated that whole sequence of events.
-
Doesn't sound that subtle.
Did you record & report?

Forced Penance doesn't stop the Dead Hard, Mettle of Man, or Styptic.
There will still be bodyblocks, just not from healthy survivors
Pretty sure it stops the styptic

Forced penance/STBFL/mad grit meta plz 🙏

It’s worth a try though.
Threads started to say that nurse should be nerfed, shouldn't be nerfed, or that there should be no more arguments about nurse either way, will all end up exactly the same way: another argument about nurse.
-
Idk about meta but if full aura builds become more popular, object and distortion probably will too
I already run full auras on a couple of killers and am kinda terrified of getting an object player ngl

Nobody ever said that running those Perks is "abusing" anything. Funny enough, everytime a Killer Main does not like something they say that the Survivors are "abusing" stuff.
I have never run Circle of Healing. I dont really like Boons, so I dont run them.
And well, I have probably more hours on Killer alone than you in DBD overall...
What level of devotion are you, out of curiosity
-
all they did was nerf strong survivor perks and give us close to nothing to replace them with. people would run perks like up the ante, self preservation, etc if they actually did something usefulNo, they wouldn't. There are plenty of survivor perks that have always been useful or have been buffed to do something useful. The only way for new survivor perks to currently enter the meta is for them to be completely busted, like MoM on release, CoH on release.
"Useful" is not enough, since the most popular survivor perks go beyond that.
-
By any chance were you a Claudette going against an artist on grim pantry? If so I just fired off birds randomly, one happened to pass by the right locker.
-
Crouching makes you quieter anyway, you'd need a very good set of headphones to notice someone crouching or in a locker with new iron will, not even taking into account chase music

I must be immature because I found this, both as a standalone and as a parody, hysterical.
I only really enjoyed it as a parody...
But pretty much all the comments just liked it in general so you're not alone 😂

I actually played out one PTB game without DC's, it was bizarre
Obviously I had to DC myself right after downing the last survivor, for tradition

Content creators, you mean like 3 of them, which were the cry babies get all their opinions from, watching videos instead of playing the game for themselves? True, maybe those content creators too.
It was a bad idea for solo q, but like you've said before, you think solo q is fine, so it's not like this convo is going anywhere anyway, since you also think self care is a good perk.
Excuse me, I may be a crybaby but I can come up with my own things to cry about
-
Sadako having one is ridiculous. Might as well give pig one*
*please don't
-
I've hated plenty of iterations of decisive strike and been neutral or vaguely positive on others
But the issue all of them have had including the current version and including the new version is that they're stronger against weaker killers and weaker against stronger ones
They should give it the DH treatment and make it work better against the stronger ones. Briefly disable the killer's power after the stun or something.
I get they want to shake up the meta and DS is meta but tunnelling should be made as unattractive as possible, especially if solo queue improvements aren't coming for a year minimum.

Sloppy self cares now are like, what.. 50-something seconds?
Baby Claudettes are gonna turn matches into 3v1s real damn quick.
-Claudette is mostly finished healing after 45ish seconds
-Another survivor appears to take over
-Claudette gets startled, runs away and has to start from scratch

+ All the IW perk combinations are indirectly nerfed too (IW + Resillience/ Head on/ QQ/ Lucky Break/ Dance with me)
Yesterday I was running lithe/dance with me/lucky break/bite the bullet with a medkit
It went very well :)

I'm the opposite, I don't like PH, nemesis etc but love artist
But also I don't really want lots of other people playing her or she might end up getting nerfed

Lol at thinking Scott is killer sided. Dude's whole shtick is being the cool killer main that follows the survivor rulebook. That's why he used to endlessly complain about Spirit because you didn't know what she was doing but Iron Will is fun and fair because you don't know what the survivor is doing. He also said SWF doesn't give any advantages while publicly lambasting tru3
Exactly. People have this strange idea that being a killer main just means you play killer more. What it really means to be a killer main is to play like as much of a dickhead as you possibly can and defend everything on the killer side no matter how objectively stupid it is.

Parental Guidance was "nerfed" (I dont consider it a Nerf before it went live) from the PTB to Live. From bad to even worse.
Parental guidance can be great with head on or smash hit. It didn't need the reduction though.

Reaction DH is way stronger than the old DH. Hello again 4 DH squads.
I only watched the first game but that is a very experienced survivor going against a killer who gets flashlight saved three times and swings at every window fake. You don't need DH for a killer like that (no disrespect to the spirit, she could be new) and I've tried the new dead hard against more experienced killers who don't just m1 the second you launch yourself at them.
It's a nerf.

Gotta love the classic "ad hominem" fallacy where you dismiss actual concerns, opinions or facts simply because the person providing insight doesn't align with your personal vision ;)
You must be new here :p
-
I've went against Leachy's trickster before as well
You couldn't pay me to play him on console, but I respect it
-
Ok I haven't used it as survivor, but I did a semi-aura build on plague just now. Lethal persuer, black incense (see auras when they vomit) and a brown one (see auras when they cleanse)
One survivor had distortion and I legit did not see her aura once. So idk if she'd been following me around the map or what but she got some value from it

It's going to be great against any killer where you know when they have to attack. Nurse and Blight especially.
Already shredded a blight with it lol

Perk: The Troll Toll
Upon completion of all 5 generators, the exit gates are blocked for 300/400/500 seconds. Survivors can deactivate the perk early by sandbagging another survivor.
"Confound your lousy toll, troll" - Claudette Morel
-
Regularly on killer. As survivor it was Jake then Cheryl.
-
I find going against it fun (yes even nightfall)
-
Maybe it depends on whether or not you have the dlc?
-
I don't know how can you play this game for years and think pre-buff legion was in an acceptable state.
That's not even intended as an insult I just don't understand it at all.
And your killer and/or survivor games may show an almost 100% rate of 4ks but mine don't, most people's do not and overall it doesn't seem to be the case as the devs have said the kill rates are lower than they'd like. Unless killer mains have hacked into bhvr hq to fiddle with the numbers, which I guess we can't rule out.

My secret technique is not using the toolbox for the first 1-2 gens and then smash one of the last gens with my tool box, when it might be the most critical.
That is the correct way to use them but also don't tell people that

Last time they reduced the grind players got legacy. This reduction is way bigger than that one and we get a charm? Or icon? That is a joke. Im 7 characters shy (half at p1 50) of having all characters maxed and this reward is pathetic for the effort
Legacy looks horrible, they managed to delete it and never return it to a load of people, and is now the unofficial cheater uniform. None of that is worth repeating.
-
It's the exposed icon I enjoy
-
Billy is pretty hard but for practice I'd do the same when practicing any killer with a lethal m2, just use that over and over. Chainsaw every time, even in positions where it seems impossible. Even if the survivor is already injured. And don't expect to win. Did that with huntress, artist and blight when I was learning them, improved a lot quicker than if I'd bothered with m1s. Or there's always the option of waiting til the bots are out, although they'll never dodge chainsaws like real survivors can
-
It will be probably be stronger against the stronger killers now yes, which is a good thing.

I didn't read op's post but based only on the title: to be honest I was kind of thinking of doing it myself, just to prove how the changes did nothing against these play styles, as they were promoted, but actually made them even easier to achieve.
I know it will probably ruin tons of games for the survivors I'll go against, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make to prove my point
Will probably try camping and holding W on the ptb, unfun but necessary

Are we being a drama queen much?
You keep calling anything that's not meta "useless" and I firmly believe the main problem here is not the perks being useless, but you and other survivors with the same complaint lacking imagination. As far as I'm concerned, the amount of objectively useless perks can be counted on one hand per side, not more. And none of the reworked perks fall into that category.
Nearly every perk has some use and can come in clutch in various other ways than blocking a killer's hit or gaining enough distance to go for a pallet or window. Just because something might be niche or you just don't like using it, doesn't make it useless. I don't have a single survivor with a full meta build, never did. Each of my survivors has a set of perks I picked at random based on their lore or personality. No two of my survivors are the same and hence I don't play them the same either. I enjoy all my survivors, because I don't let meta restrict myself to a specific, usually boring and unimaginative build. I suggest everyone else, including you, try the same and open up their minds to all the possibilities there are with the over 200 perks we have.
But seriously, stop with the drama, it's unwarranted. They didn't gut anything, they made it work like it was originally intended again. The original Dead Hard was meant to work exactly one way: dodge a hit. It was never meant to be used to gain distance, that only became its main use when dedicated servers started making the perk work unreliably at best when it came to the invincibility frames.
Preach. There's so many perks that give useful info, a nice unique ability, or will win the game for you completely -although only in specific situations, not in every single match- Which is the level perks should ideally be at. But a lot of players on each side demand nothing less than a full set of perks which largely play the game for them.
-
Oh good this thread is back
Anyway I'm pleased to report that I put the charm on Kate.
-
I think any nostalgia I have for 2018 could be easily fixed by playing one game from that time and getting DS'd the first time I pick up a survivor. Ideally all four of them would have instaheals too.

Crotus Prenn Asylum is Nurse map
also good luck getting kills if you think coldwind is a bad map for killer
I don't hate coldwind as much as some people but saying it's a good map for killer is a big stretch.
Rotten fields, with some killers, sure.
-
If I'm playing blight or plague with blood favour it's the best thing ever
Otherwise kill it with fire
-
I want to see if STBFL will be a bit excessive at full stacks now. Brutal should still be fine

It's more holding W getting nerfed for me
And I get the strategy when I'm playing artist but when I'm playing 0 slowdown pig? Cmon dude

Nah, he's right. It has never been about being careless or too altruistic. The best looper on the team can easily be the first to die, if not the only one to die, for a number of reasons. MMR being influenced solely by escapes sends the people who hide and bust gens to high MMR, while actually skilled loopers get into baby lobbies and cause uneven matches, uninteresting gameplay, and ruin Killer for newer players.
The trick is to last long enough in chase that you don't get tunnelled out for being the weak link, but not so long that you get tunnelled out for pissing the killer off
