BHVR after making another Feng cosmetic:
-
Sunglasses DLC for killers. Trickster needs star shades
-
How will the Nintendo Switch cope with this chapter. I can't even.
-
Trickster may be flashy and funny but I avoid people with his personality

The Seven Minutes Game as Wesker
RULES:
-Once you have full control after the match intro a timer starts.
-You have up to seven minutes to sacrifice (or kill) all survivors within the game. No one can escape prematurely.
-Using any affects, such as Exposed, is allowed to achieve a 4k. Any perks is also allowed.
-Failure upon not sacrificing/killing all survivors after the seven minutes ends will result in a loss. The player controlling Wesker must either disconnect or allow survivors to do gens and escape.
-If all survivors are hooked and being sacrificed WHILE the timer has hit seven minutes. It is still considered a win. This is also a win if the seven minute hits during a mori animation on the last survivor.
-Having all survivors slugged with zero second chance perks before seven minutes does not count as a win. It has to be a kill or a sacrifice.
-For easy mode, you can start the timer once you initiate the first chase.
-As a bonus, you can try this on other killers.
Have fun!

Xbox performance gets pretty good after an update. After a few weeks it's laggy again, but then another update happens and it's smooth.
Progress?
-
Please don't let this perk be touched. It'll be the next Thana.

Blighted Wesker 😯

in all fairness this is essentially what most modern game companies do now. i don't think it's any less gross, microtransactions are an inherently predatory system but it's just how it is now.
This could just be me, but Dbd's feels so addictive. The aspect of a morbid survival horror is what hooks (haha) you in. BHVR truly struck gold on a live-service game.

I'm more active here than my post count lets on. If she said something explicitly about controller options, I would've seen it. Hard to miss the BHVR post flag. (E: actually can we take a moment to appreciate that? Makes getting up-to-date news much simpler. Great UI design.)
But I did check the comment history up until April of this year just to make sure (searching for "options", "controller", "console", and "settings"). Also did a few searches on google and here. Only thing I could find is her saying that K&M support isn't likely to happen (but could change at some point). Maybe she said something about it elsewhere, but I feel like something about it would've been posted here.
Considering that they pushed back some of the goals they did have this year, I highly doubt controller options are anywhere close on the horizon. Obviously things can change but...it's looking bleak.
Sadness and depression. I'll keep playing Trickster and miss those damn zig-zag survivors till eternity.

I believe what happens is that there are actually 3 types of "Basic Attack Results" -
- A "successful hit" result - occurs when you connect the attack hitbox with the Survivor's collision box. This is followed by the default 2.7 second successful Basic Attack cooldown, as of patch 6.1.0.
- A "missed hit" result - occurs when the entire lunge/attack duration elapses without the attack hitbox connecting with anything. This is followed by the default 1.5 second cooldown. (As far as I'm aware, this has never been changed)
- An "obstructed hit" result - occurs when, while lunging/attacking, a certain percentage of the attack hitbox collides with an environmental object. This is followed by the default 1.5 second cooldown. (As far as I'm aware, this has also never been changed)
In regards to Demogorgon's Shred & Pig's Dash, they both have the same 3 results, just different cooldowns. 3.0 seconds for both a successful Shred/Dash, a 2.25 seconds cooldown for a missed or obstructed Shred, and a 3.0 second cooldown for a missed or obstructed Dash.
The most likely issue, I'm assuming, is that for each the Unrelenting Perk, Mew's Guts Add-on, Workshop Grease Add-On, and Shattered Syringe Add-On, they all only apply some sort of modifier onto the "missed hit" result, and don't apply anything onto the "obstructed hit" result.
The way this is built is strangely impressive. Kudos to you!

I recall nothing of the sort.
A certain Pig enjoyer made their awareness known to me not too long ago though, back when I had a Twitter. But one dev's awareness of one player's gripes on the internet doesn't exactly translate into action.
I could've sworn she said once that they're looking into options. I haven't seen everything she posted, neither have you.

And having a deadzone slider and a response curve that feels natural will always be better than having what DbD has.
Iirc Mandy said that they're looking into controller options. Crossing my fingers lol

Trickster on controller is an exercise in misery that could be easily corrected if BHVR tried.

Any "skill" killers like Pinhead, Nurse, Huntress, Trickster etc.
Dear lord. The amount of frustrating 1k, 2k games as Trickster just to be decent at his aim was agonizing. It was worth it in the end.
Mouse (and maybe even gyro if Dbd added it) will always be better than a control stick. Zizzagging survivors are a headache on stick vs. a mouse.

So if I play solo queue and somebody carries me to basement, I'm just cooked then?
Basement boy just auto kills me because he decided to take agitation + iron will?
You know for damn sure these teammates aren't taking hits for me
I've been hooked in the basement and escaped after the meta shift patch. This was also in solo q. It's not always a doomed match being in the basement.

They need a much better reporting system. Problem.is people abuse it and so it's completely useless. What they need is a specific option for cheating and only cheating. If you abuse the system you can no longer report cheaters for a month. A second time prevents you from reporting for 3 months, and everytime thereafter.
This is a temporary solution. No duh there needs to be a better reporting system.

i genuinely don't see a problem with this whatsoever. Fog Whisperers get special treatment because they are special. they are meant to positively represent the game and cannot do that if they cannot play the game. like from a business standpoint its pretty cut and dry. i think people are channeling frustration at completely the wrong thing and should be focused on making anti-cheat do anything than hating on streamers
End of thread. This is the true answer. Fog Whisperers are more likely to be targeted by snipers. BHVR most likely-hasnt finished their anti-cheat system yet so this is a great temporary fix for DbD celebs
-
Wow BHVR actually gave a damn about Fog Wisperers
-
DBD Claire worked a McDonald's shift that's why she looks like that.

Normally I would disagree but most matches have been absolutely soul-crushing.

I don't disagree with this conspiracy theory but the thing is games like this usually offer some sort of paid alternative to grinding. There is nothing like that in DBD.
I would be okay if $1 = 100k BP

Wrong. People did this before the update, they're just doing it more now because they have a goal.
The changes were good for the game.
Getting unhooked unfairly/at the wrong time was also an issue. Do we have to get rid of that also?

SoloQ does need, and always has needed, some quality of life enhancements.
But the recent patch didn't do nearly as much damage as some survivors are whining about. It is still more than playable, if survivors would actually play it. But unfortunately it just takes one sore loser (of which there is an abundance) to bring the game down for the rest of the team.
It should still happen. People will suicide much less when soloq buffs arrive. Removing suicides is, I hate to say it, a bandaid fix to the issue.
-
@Seraphor said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3115552#Comment_3115552
Because they feel hopeless.
Why do they feel hopeless?
Because they got used to a certain way of playing and refuse to adapt to changes.
I'll repeat again. I've been a de facto solo survivor main since the patch inflated killer queue times. Now that most of the tantrum throwers have actually given up playing instead of sabotaging games, It's absolutely fine. If you don't play like a complete tool by rushing the killer and relying on second chances to save you from your teabag induced tunnelling.
@PapiFelixPSN said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3115552#Comment_3115552
Because they want the changes reverted and are trying to skew killrates. On top of that, people are crybabies, and the second a game doesn't go the way they want it to, they're out. Suiciding and DCing was always an issue in solo queue, not just after the patch.
Then the issue are the changes, not the ability to suicide on hook. Removing the option to suicide/higher punishes for DC may just drop players even more.
Soloq should be buffed. That is the real issue. End of story.
-
@PapiFelixPSN said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3115536#Comment_3115536
As long as people are allowed to suicide, they will.
Like sure, solo needs other things, but as long as suicide is an option solo will be garbage
Why do you think people will suicide?
Edit: To add, why do you think people ARE suiciding in hook?
-
@PapiFelixPSN said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3115522#Comment_3115522
Then they'll just do that. Solo will still be awful
You can only limit so much power and freedom from players. I'm not saying they need OP perks or a win-button but restricting stuff in the base game isnt good. There are more clever ways of approaching the soloq dilemma.
-
@PapiFelixPSN said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3115377#Comment_3115377
Yeah. They need more punishing bans for DCs and AFKs. They also need to remove attempts to prevent suicide.
Nah. Players should still have the freedom to suicide if they want.

BHVR's business team said to keep the grind for profits.

i mean if a killer wins because he camped and tunneled... if a survivor teams wins because they are a swf using insanely strong perks and medkits... some wins arent really good wins are they? some wins are given tbh
So are you saying it's unfair?
