The description is very vague and it doesn't match with the wiki, has there been any changes?
The wiki tested all killer powers with it back in August. I don't think anything has changed since then. Clown's bottle shouldn't deplete its tokens.

I find this hilarious since you don't realize that I'm the guy that put a lot of that info on the wiki 🤣
I don't need to read anything to critically think to realize that 2 and 4 secs saved are garbage when by the time you finish one chase 2-3 gens are done
What info did you put on the wiki? I visit the wiki quite often and your username is not familiar.

This was in 5.1.0, i wonder if this causes issues
No, it doesn't. That change was in regards to stuff like actual in-game textures and sounds and had nothing to do with the icon folder people still use to change the look of perk icons and the likes.

Does your Kazan estimate keep in mind the fact that he is Rin's Great(5x) grandfather (at least according to the wiki- they didn't cite their source)? 450 years seems a bit much for only half a dozen generations.
Source is the devs confirming that when Kazan's chapter released.

I've never played with meta builds, all my survivors have a unique build that I base on their lore and personality. If I need a healer, I play Claudette, Feng if I want to focus on gens, Jane if I want to get stuns in, Jake if I need to sabotage hooks, Jill for finding and destroying totems, and so on.
It's much more fun and you get to rotate your characters rather than just playing the same one over and over.

I don't know how exactly it works out but it's not 96.5 -> 97.5, because the game doesn't officially measure speed by percentage. It applies 0.04m/s to the maximum speed and minimum speed in throw state. Personally i like it in combination with one caged heart shoes because it makes you 4.0m/s in the throw state before throwing knives (i think).
I'd like to clarify that that's not how the game does movement speeds either, it uses multipliers for the most part.
As an example:
A killer's base speed is always x1. Movement speed modifiers are added to that multiplier. Say you get a speed boost of 10%, the calculation the game does is 1+0.1, resulting in a multiplier of x1.1.
For a 4.6m/s killer, that would be 4.6 * 1.1 = 5.06m/s.
There are next to no exceptions to this. The only one I know off the of my head is Feral Frenzy, which adds 0.6m/s to the Legion's base speed and the Bloodlust mechanic, but that's pretty much it.
You can look at this wiki page for further information, the wiki people have calculated all the modifiers: deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Movement_Speeds
-
If you look through the edit history of the wiki page, you can see that it was changed to be consistent with literally all other characters: first name, last name.
The wiki was apparently asked repeatedly by either Chinese players themselves or people who know the language to adjust it, motivated by the adept achievement correctly titled "Adept Min".
Feng Min is in order last name, first name; Min Feng is in order first name, last name, common to western culture.
If you remember the original Disney movie Mulan, you can notice that when the matchmaker calls on Mulan, she says "Fa Mulan", not "Mulan Fa" as it would be done in most western cultures.
-
McLean once confirmed that positive modifiers are additive, whereas negative ones are multiplicative. That's the general rule of Dead by Daylight's coding apparently.
As far as I can tell, the wiki did its calculations on the movement speed page that way too.
-
@bjorksnas said:
Some killers do have specific animations and sounds that you can hear and see at higher movement speeds, (as far as I know) spirit when she reaches bloodlust 2 speed holds her arms out like she is phasing
That is because the devs usually tie these animations directly to the current movement speed of the killer.
-
In-game is correct. I asked the wiki people about it and they did some investigating. It seems to have been a copy-paste error when the wiki itself switched from the hover-over numbers to in-text values. Updating several hundred addon descriptions is likely to cause some mishaps.

why doesnt the lobby just have the name of the characters to the right of the steam names....
Because that's not really an issue? I've been playing since release and regularly visited the various forums and what not. This is honestly the first time I see someone bring this up as an issue.
As others have pointed, you can identify the killer by their power, which is displayed in the tally screen.

Side question is it possible to use them for say custom usage? Like if I wanted them printed on something for my own use not resale?
What the other guy said is incorrect, the wiki get all of their newer icons from the devs, according to the wiki people. You can't just use them, unless you give credit. Have a look at some of the files on it.
-
I'm surprised how literally no-one got the point I was trying to make.
I don't give a damn about basement bubbas. If you're such inclined, camp away. If standing still for 2 minutes is fun to you, go ahead.
My point was that it would be nice if my fellow survivors could pay a little bit of attention to the basement location and ideally try to avoid going down close enough to it, that Bubba can take them down there. That's it.
This is merely a strategic suggestion, as it seems that every time I play with a basement cannibal, my fellow survivors seem intent to go down right atop the basement stairs.

No need to get all defensive. I understand it's changed since I started playing and wasn't aware, I still think it's bullshit to consider mid-chapters as chapters when it comes to the shrine, seeing how rarely stuff shows up on there within the year of it's release, often perks show up past the year mark.
That's a different discussion altogether, which your thread wasn't about.
You wanted to know why those perks weren't more expensive despite showing up for the first time and that's the explanation.
-
@Marcavecunc said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2588244#Comment_2588244
Still think it's bullshit, but oh well.
Look, I gave you the explanation of how the current shrine works and no amount of calling it bullshit or disagreeing with how it's coded will change anything about it.
Neither will anything change the fact that even though Mikaela is a half-chapter, the shrine doesn't care if a dlc is a full or a half-chapter now. If internally, it's its own data structure, it's considered its own dlc by the shrine logic.
The shrine no longer works how you remember it working and hasn't done so for quite some time now.
-
@Marcavecunc said:

Wouldn't really count Mikaela as a chapter but sure.
As far as the logic governing the shrine of secrets is concerned, it is.

Thought it was within the last year.
Either way, it is from 2 chapters ago.
But a friend's hypothesis is since they're both part of the rift challenges, they decided to put them at the regular price to make them more affordable for people who didn't buy the chapter.
Since the Trickster chapter, we've had RE, Hellraiser and now Mikaela. As far as the game is concerned, those are 3 chapters, making Trickster's perks be from 4 chapters ago.
It's working as intended.
-
If the chapter they're from is not part of the 3 most recent ones, they will be at the regular price.

Weird. That's not in the patch notes. Maybe the wiki is just wrong though and adding the actual numbers in game has made that obvious? I don't know.
It's an undocumented change, so I'm guessing the wiki people haven't noticed it yet. There are hundreds of addons, you can't expect them to check all of them every single patch just on the off chance that the developers forget to mention it in patch notes.

I don't see why you would think a fan site would know better than the official patchnotes, but, you are free to see it that way.
Because that fan site datamines its stuff. Of course, that doesn't mean that no mistakes can happen, the people running the wiki are only human after all.
Also, the patch notes have been verifiably false in the past, so that wouldn't be something new.

Fair enough, I only checked the Wiki. And IMO the wiki should include the actual description of the Add-On and not add parts to it in the description itself.
However, even if you only have the Part with "Considerably drains" in the text, it is highly unlikely that you will have enough stalk left to kill 4 Survivors and impossible that the Fragrant Tuft will help you with that. At least this would be the conclusion if we only look at the ingame text.
But in the end, it does not really matter anyway. This happens once and afterwards players know it. And it is not really a problem with the Achievement anyway.
As long as the added parts only reflect what the addon actually does, I see no issue with the wiki doing it that way. IMO, it's actually preferable to fix ambiguous or misleading descriptions, which are plentiful in DbD.

@Aven_Fallen said:
- "Killing a Survivor drains the power of Evil Within III, resetting it to Evil Within II."
Erm... Yes, the Tombstone Piece has this part.
To be fair here, it has that part about resetting to tier 2 on the wiki, the in-game description just reads that it drains the power of evil within, which I guess, if you aren't familiar with the addon, could be confusing to people.
-
To the others, I appreciate the sympathy, despite not looking for any. The motivation was really just to get this off my chest. I've had issues to kill survivors for weeks now and it continued to get worse.
I still had games in which I got 3 or 4 kills, but they were getting rarer and rare, whereas they used to be the norm unless I versed some very proficient looping squads.
Yesterday, however, I had a complete losing streak of 20-25 games of no kills and 2-5 hooks at most, which completely killed it for me.

Yup i don't want to sound rude either but after 4 hours and not killing anyone that totally an issue on his own.
@Alionis If you are being serious and not trolling it surprise me that with 4k hours you can't kill anyone, was all those hours as survivor? If you are having such a hard time maybe watching some videos can help you.
Quote from the original post: "...of playing DbD as both killer and survivor..."
I did watch some videos, tried Otzdarva's newest strategy to locate the lament configuration reliably with lethal pursuer even, but the game gave me a big old "######### you" with that one with the survivor spawns.
Watching videos doesn't help me in any way. Call me a troll, I don't care. I'm done with playing killer.

Literally all of these are on the wiki.
- Myers tier 2: 16m TR, 4.6m/s, normal lunge, slightly faster vaulting speed --> https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Michael_Myers#Power:_Evil_Within
- Phantasm trap trigger time: 5 seconds --> https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Lisa_Sherwood#Power_Trivia
- Huntress' lullaby range: 45m --> https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Terror_Radius#List_of_Terror_Radii_.26_Lullabies
- Myers stalk-to-distance ratio: https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Michael_Myers#Power_Trivia & https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/File:StalkGraph.JPG
- Oni's passive recharge: +0.2 charges per second up to 98 charges --> https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Kazan_Yamaoka#Power_Trivia
- Victor's speed and shrieking ranges: 6m/s, 12/14/18m when idle/attached/controlled --> Infobox on https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Victor_%26_Charlotte_Deshayes
- Great skill check to charges: Your question is not applicable, as the skill check is in regards to the charges needed to fill the health state, not those of the med-kit. Healing skill checks give 5% bonus and 1 health state is 16 charges. That equates to 0.8 charges as bonus. --> https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Skill_Checks#Great_Skill_Check & https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Health_States#Healing

3 Blink Nurse doesn't return, even with this addon. The downside is too heavy, as each chain blink also increases her fatigue, and god nurses won't be needing it in the first place anyways.

Yes, you're missing the part where it says that the blink itself takes 2 seconds to charge, whereas each blink token takes 3 seconds.
If you go to the wiki, read it carefully.

Doctor isn't listed amongst the killers that will receive addon changes with this patch.
And as someone who plays him regularly, he's quite fine. The only addons that would need changing are the tapes.

It's more for the sake of others. I know that discussing with someone like them is pointless, but it's still important to call out gaslighting and disingenuous posts to combat their effects.

His 1v1 probably still the same, only edge cases will feel different. And we'll yeah, survivors aren't wiggling around all the time trying to dodge a potential quick scope coming any moment. But that was stupid to begin with. Was like a reverse speed boost for that killer.
This is such a disingenuous statement.
Without the ability to quick-scope, the 1v1 changes inevitably, that's a non-debatable, objective fact. To what it changes is a different discussion, but it definitely does not remain the same, and insisting on anything else is merely an attempt at gaslighting the discussion.

Not even. The increased movement speed is only during ads, not to his base speed. He'll be a 110-M1-killer, a laughing stock.
-
The harpoon is just as fast as a fully charged hatchet: both travel at 40m/s.
The harpoon only feels faster, because it can only travel 18 meters, not across the map, like a hatchet.

Clearly you don't know DbD very well yet. That's not going to happen.
I don't even think they will increase the speed to the level he can currently have when using both ADS movement addons, and every deathslinger player knows how bad those two are.

There's some on their twitter if you want a look.
So? They are changing multiple addons on a bunch of killers, we have no idea where that one will go. Considering they just decided to nerf Deathslinger, those addon changes could be horrible for all we know.
I'm against praising what doesn't deserve praise yet. People should wait until we know about all changes, not the cherrypicked ones advertised up front.
-
I'd like to clarify two things that you guys keep getting wrong, source is the wiki:
Huntress has a lullaby radius of 45 meters, not 40, not 32. Her terror radius is just 20 meters.
Deathslinger's harpoon has a maximum range of 18 meters, not 20.

-
As I said in Part 1: people shouldn't give praise before we have the full picture, this patch was bound to have some questionable nerfs.
The Deathslinger change is just terrible. As a 4.4m/s killer, he does not have the map pressure to make up for sucking in chases, which we he will with these changes.

Them not being listed implies that they don't have any that are official.

That's called an example, you know what it means? Spirit's movement is still way more freely than Blight's.
Doesn't change that she's much slower. Billy's chainsaw has turning restrictions too, but before they nerfed him, he was one of the best, simply because he could get around the map fast and reliably, and Blight benefits from the same factor. Spirit is too slow in comparison.
