Killers are forced to stand in front of the hook in order to hook a survivor allowing others to just block them, but survivors can just Nick a survivor off the hook from any angle, which can only be stopped by a 50% chance to grab before factoring in how Survivors always get action priority
-
While most of this is just stupid, I can agree with the fact that 1 survivor standing under a hokey completely negates the killers ability to hook until they attack, which has a hefty cooldown, yet I, the one against 4, can't forcefully deny an unhooking because "lol Spinney hook" and am forced to play whackamole on hardcore mode trying to grab the survivor, which 50% of the time means they just get off Scot free. Let killers use any angle to hook just like survivors can use any angle to unhook.
-
I'm going to be very annoyed if they dont like sitting in the high up places.
-
IMO gates should regress if a survivor isn't nearby (because we all know one will just stand there tapping it to keep it maxed anyway). makes a survivor busy holding the gate ready at least

They need to resolve the issue of this perk. It's frustrating that it's such a meme. It's almost useless in the normal game.
Minimally experienced killers can handle it without major problems.
Experienced killers like me even realize you sway faster than you walk and use it to boost to the hook. what are you going to do, not wiggle?

Are you serious??? Claud Bot, 3 gens in 1 sec and escape
well I had assumes you also meant 60s in match, not literally 1s
-
Sometimes I just want a hook at 4 gens left to feel good

Have seen yesterday as surv, cuz hacker was in game
Its not a hacker, its the fact that none of the killers, except maybe Nemisis with ultra lucky zombie spawns, can stop any of the other 3 survivors before getting a down. The early game is a lose-lose for most. where you either have 1 hook at 2 gens or try and spread pressure to have no hooks at 3 gens.

Why, why is necesery every single surv on hook and tunnel?? ######### is wrong with you, people?? Did someone hurt you in real life that you spread your trash all over the people in game??? I haven't playing DBD for 2 months and guess what??? Nothing changed, killers keep camping and been on Red ranks, campers on Red ranks. My every single match is facing strong tunnelers or just team who die in first minutes. I see more clear that this game is broken and nothing can change that. Killers camping, survs DC or suicide on hooks, pretty good job so far... Shame and facepalm
tell you what, play a game of killer. Just one. And watch 3 gens pop in 60s

Pretending to give someone hatch or exit, then killing them anyway....or at least, draggin it out for the full length of EGC. That gets a bit annoying and/or toxic after awhile.
I think I've only seen 1 legit case of forcing an EGC drawout; they were trying to adept and had killed the other three and my build made it impossible for him to hook me, so all he could do was just sit and watch me spin in circles.
-
same as before.
Nurse suffers fatigue, not cooldown, on teleport. She only benefits if she hits you without blinking.
Blight is the same, he has a different fatigue animation, which ignores base recovery.
-
killers can surrender by opening gates after the gens are done.
-
Bruh 1500 hours and a survivor doing a ballet dance confuses you?
-
Thana got its Max buffed cause it stopped affecting healing speeds, meaning it was easier to clear Thana stacks
-
deactivation nerf was needed, its literally a free escape if held till then. The stun is weird, but ill have to see it in action before I can judge it really.
-
technically self nerfing since its percentage based.
-
They all have caveats though. Sprint Burst means you can't run (yes I know 99ing it but that's hard to do and do gens at the same time), lithe immediately takes effect after a vault, a common thing done in chase, and balanced landing can't even be used on a lot of maps

I actually really like the NOED change, as long as it doesnt warn the survivors they're cursed.

All of the "stealth killers" should have no red light in chase : Pig, MM, Wraith, Ringo, Ghostface, etc.
I see no balance problem with making killers that dont have an active antiloop power move at 120% speed.
But where do you draw the line? Does trapper get faster move speed? What about Doctor who has weak antiloop?
Honesty? As a killer and survivor, him being 120% wouldnt be that bad.

I probably should have, but the thing is - it's something that can also be done accidently. So I really doubt anything could be done about it.
they mean put in a ticket about the fact it can happen so it can be fixed
-
Can you DM me what it is? I haven't heard of it as a Dredge and I want to know what to avoid.
-
Pretty sure the dredge ate him
-
Finishing it as I arrive isnt toxic. Taking hits and finishing it is.
-
You do realize its most likely the license holders decision, not BHVRs?
-
Considering survivor is holding M1 for approx 100 seconds per survivor (possibly more) its definately the easier role than the always active killer.
Doesn't mean the easiest to succeed though, thats map dependant.

So the totem only spawns when all the gens pop, and based on how well the Killer did throughout the match, the NOED totem would award them accordingly? So if 3 tokens was all the Killer earned while playing, maybe the gate speed would be slowed, but if the killer got 5 tokens, they'd be able to insta-down everyone?
3 for slow, 5 causes regressing gates, 7 allows exposed.

Do you have any ideas on how the token system would work specifically?
Think of it like an endgame Devour. More tokens it has the more it would hamper the survivors escape. Let Exposed be the ultimate reward on it, with lesser tokens offering slower gate speed and regressing gate progress. Tokens could be gained through hooks, downs, who knows, theres quite a few good options.
-
NOED needs a token system.
Dead hard needs to reward dodging hits and punish DH for Distance.

thats insane bad connection of the killer or yours , but can happen , and like you said feels bad.
bad survivor connection. If you had bad killer connection it wouldnt allow it. I've tested it.

JUST GIVE ME BLIGHTED DEMO ALREADY

Second chance perks carry survivors. Whats your point?

It (which is how I refer to it) is a fusion of an unknown quantity of both men and women, not one destinctive entity / person, meaning its gender / sex is quite literally impossible to determine.
Also it is referred to as "it" by the DbD achievements - with, fun fact, the only other Killer being referred to in this manner being the Shape, everyone else is labled as "he" or "she".
whats demo listed as

I only really use it on Plague.
Legion...I've come to love Nurse's.
My build is generally:
- Call of Brine or Pain Resonance
- Discordance
- BBQ
- Nurse's
Works really, really well. I wish that Oblivious didn't suppress their ability, because I'd love to go for a Plaything/Penti build on them.
You could use monitor instead. Not as effective, but causes your ff range to spike in a chase, then quietens to let you approach more stealthily

Did spirit actually made a deal with it? From what I remenber she was being manipulated to see the survivors as her father.
Rin does the entities work with the promise she got to kill her father and cause him suffering. Whether the entity has upheld its end of the bargain is unknown
-
No, I'd rather an option it incentive. Sure you get toxic swfs, but sometimes you get swfs who are there to have fun running some of the most unique builds I've ever seen
-
Ghostface either would have a direct link or none at all, depending on your definition of linked. He and the Entity are practically best buds and agree with eachother. Ghostface is the only killer who's actually happy to be there, others either were tortured, forced (by the entity or other parties), there by accident, or just don't give a ######### (like the shape.) Ghostface and the Entity have the exact same goal.
Edit: also the fabric straps on his costume literally float because of his connection with the entity.

What are your DBD crackpot conspiracy theories?
- Skill checks are programmed to activate when something scary happens (killer appears, survivor is downed, etc)
- MMR is actually balanced
- Behavior has already tested bot survivors in public matches...you just didn't know it
- The Dredge's real "head" is the skull that sits atop it's figure
@Plsfix369 said:
I agree though skillchecks only popup when there is a loud or distracting things happening in the game, its practically there to harass survivors.
I remember a dev stating somewhere that while skillchecks are mostly random, they are programmed to maybe also occur when the killer is approaching, or at the worst possible time.
@Mister_xD said:
Its a lore based thing for me, but i think the craziest theory ive had about DbD is that we (as the player) are actually the Entity.
My argumentation for it was something along the lines of "When we play Killer we see everything from a 1st person view, so it's like we see everything from the characters eyes, we are directly playing as them. It's like we have taken over their mind and now are them for the duration of the trial, much like the Entity did. But its different for Survivors, we see everything from a 3rd person perspective. We are not playig as the characters themselves, we do not see through their eyes. Instead its like we are watching them and telling them what to do, like a voice in their ear or something."
I actually still think it makes some sense - the Killers are just puppets used by the entity to hunt down the Survivors, however the Survivors themselves are their own individual beings. The Entity needs them to stay that way in order to be able to feast on their hope and once they are broken, much like the Killers, they are discarded into the void.
Though this is something I came up with in like 2017, so I don't know my entire line of thought anymore. I just have the important parts in the back of my mind.
@QwQw said:
Ash is the only survivor that can kill The Entity; he is the hero of the story.
We, the player, are The Entity.
Jonah is by far the worst written survivor.
BHVR have confirmed multiple times the player is not the entity, we're the killer (Which makes sense, otherwise we'd go blind using beast of prey wouldnt we?)

Most matches I play agains't twins end up her slugging everyone so yeah I don't think she is that bad to play. Nobody can avoid victor you are quaranteed to hit with him.
This is why I find it funny how once I show I have the power struggle loadout on I get ignored by twins.

Killer has 27k points, other survivors have above normal points while you're very low.
Either you were abandoned or hard tunneled out with competent teammates no less

Even if that was the case, BHVR can't definitively say that they used this as an inspiration or else OP can sue for royalties
Unfortunately, but I'd still be proud if I was OP

So a killer who can teleport to into lockers was added into the game its a bit different then this one but main idea is there, was only a matter of time locker teleporting is such a cool concept!
Given the timing and game development cycle, its possible this is where the dredge's base idea came from. Good job.

You forget to consider we no longer lose items and perks for prestiging, so rather than losing millions we still keep what we buy

If you're playing Pig properly, you're ignoring survivors with hats on. You're not using hats to kill, and your shouldn't be wasting time chasing them. The hats are the best slowdown mechanic in the game, and they got better.
If you're playing pig properly you should be hassling hatted survivors if you get a chance to. Dont go out of your way to, but if they're on a boc, reset their progress
