They are still better than the blank survivor icons, aren't they? And to be fair, as killer I usually dodge 4-identical-survivor lobbies anyway and it's not even that frequent. I do agree with the injured state indicator tho, the red flashing icon is just terrible, they should keep the original injured icon or something.

i think that for the injured state maybe instead of flashing red it should alternate between the portrait and the injured icon or even just make the portrait red toned ?

Yeah even as survivor when i see an other one dressing exactly like me i either dodge or change character ^^ but i also love to play the same character if everyone else is like a Nea i'll change to a Nea aswell just to not feel left one ahah

Well, midground option to me is the 3rd option, because I do like the portaits and hook counters, I just don't understand why did they have to move almost every element to a new place, now I gotta look in 50 different directions across the screen.

Well the hook counter is good on the survivor side but useless in the killer one. Killer should have the survivor one as well ^^

As for the portrait i like the idea but it's just too hard to see or notice when a survivor is injured or not. Also i know portraits are added so killer knows who they are chasing etc but in a full blendette team or if two survivors wears the same exact cosmetics, it will be useless :(

  • the fact that it only work for stage 2 and on you make it useless.

Buff it by making it affecting both normal and struggling stages and on any hooked survivor nearby like Streetwise, Leader and other AoE perks.

This way if you are the rescuer you get extra time to rescue and don't farm/

  • I think the reason is : the survivor community is bigger in numbers and voices than the killer one.

So if a perk or a combo is too strong on killer there will be more negative feedback heard in % than if a perk/combo is good on survivor

  • Well sadly i cannot vote coz there is no "midground" option as there are stuff i love from the new HUD and stuff i love from the old ONE

Afaik the only consistent gen spawn pattern on midwich is piano room and chemistry lab always spawning 1 gen each, simply because those two trigger this map's easter egg.

oh yeah ^^ but does the spawn of those rooms changes or is it consistent ? i never got the achievement coz i nver knew exactly how does the rooms looks ahah

  • Aside from the flickering lights on Lery's (+ one always in the middle) and next to doors on The Game (+ one always in the bathroom next to the basement) on Midwich a gen usually spawn either in the middle of the map or in front of one of the gates.

Midwich is fairly new so outside of those gens i didn't notice anything that can help you navigate the map to find gens aside from the perk Visionnary or Bond.

  • Plague. I rarely ever faced her.

  • Yui and Zarina <3

  • Neither of those are the easiest or the hardest, all depend on how much you have experience on each side.

A survivor main could find the game hard as killer and vice versa.

Also as a solo survivor i definitly couldn't say which one is the hardest between killer and solo surviving.

  • Huntress, none of her perks are ever use

  • You actually will pip more if you don't escape ;)

not escaping means you had plenty of interactions with the killer so a lot of opportunity to get your chase emblem to iridescent.

  • Yeah i sure will help them. I know i'll need help myself ^^

Last tome i did all killer challenges except the one for Billy coz i really never succeeded at understanding how to use his power ahah

  • First tip : don't take the game too seriously

You and only you decide what a win is. It's either escaping or making everything so one survivor escape or using a meme build and making it work. I found the game much easier and fun when the winning condition isn't escaping.

but In case of win condition = escape

Second Tip : equip an aura reading perk

You are a solo survivor, it does kinda imply you need to rely on yourself. So even if a survivor is hooked doesn't mean you have to go and take the risk of being hook yourself, sometimes it's better to read the situation and admit you are better working on this gen than saving them in order for YOU to escape. Kindred is good to give you that kind of information but you can also equip Empathy to know where the survivor is getting chased or even Bond to know what your teamates are doing and if they are elading the killer near you.

Third Tip : it's not always good to heal

Depending on the killer or perks you are facing it's not always necessary to heal. You don't have to heal when exposed or the killer is a Legion. So as a backup in case the killer is coming and you are injured you can equip either Sprint Burst to get to safer area or Dead Hard to have a second chance during a chase.

Fourth tip : even if you don't like it equip DS

It's among the strongest perk in the game, and sometimes is your only chance after being farmed on hook by a survivor without Borrowed Time. Not only a chance for you but also the other survivors : as you equip it you'll likely e the obsession so the killer will know there is at least one DS user in the game and will not "tunnel", as he doesn't know if the survivor he just downed has the perk or not thanks to you.

  • i think the reason is pretty simple : he is her ancestor therefore she honors him by wearing the same armor he did. But since he never heard about her he can't honor her by wearing anything that would represent her ^^

You guys have no idea how it worked back a while ago, when killers dodged, the whole lobby was sent back to the queue screen. Has nothing to do with the post but it reminded me of those times.

ah i remember those times. As a solo survivor i still see myself dodge lobbies when i know my teamates wille be toxic so the lobby won't be dodge for hours...

But as killer since i have insta lobby i don't see why i could not dodge if i see really strong items in the hands of obvious SWF (similar names like " X is my Daddy " and "I'm Y's Daddy" for example)

I don't play killer or survivor to sweat but have a good time so on either side i dodge if know the rest of the player is here to sweat their sweet bottoms.

No more killers that cut chases short or force 50/50 mindgames. We've had several of them in the last year and we don't need more, 'nor are they fun to play against.

I enjoy playing as these types of killers, but I'd love a unique concept that also isn't terribly executed..

Nurse is the most fun killer to go against and she is the Queen of short chases (Hag is too but on a different type of chase : the prepared one)

  • There is not so much nerf needed only :

    • disable if an other survivor get hooked while your perk is active
    • reduce the cooldown by 15 sec if you interact with a locker
  • Had this situation happen yo me once as Spirit with Whispers against 2 survivors who didn't touch a single gen for 20 minutes and just Urban Evasion around the map...

  • I mean in order to not be banned from being unsportmanlike i guess you can still :

    • heal other to 99% if you know they don't have SC or a medkit
    • heal other to 99% from the ground
    • not equip BT and go for saves (don't farm hook people tho) OR don't go for saves at all
    • camp hatch when it appears and you found it, no matter if people are on hook
    • pick up an other survivor item in case of Franklin's Demise and hide it so you can retrieve it later when you know you will escape
    • do not do more than 1.5 gens

But avoid leading killer to others, blow up gens and farm hook because that will get your reported pretty easily

  • I guess people hate her because they don't face her often and so are not "good" against her and especially against Hags that play her well instead of just trapping the hell of a hooked survivor.

And like someone else told it : her and Trapper do not chase in the same way other killers does, and if you don't trigger her traps on purpose you'll suffer in chase and get down pretty easily without having any chance.

This is why i rather face a Nurse or even a Spirit coz it's more a matter of juking them for example ^^

  • I do not see the fact that they mentionned the new HUD without more informations to be a situation where they will release the same HUD that was in the PTB not taking in count the feedback they received.

HUD wasn't the main subject of this particular tweet feed so they probably didn't want to expand more about it than the actual colorblindness issue they are adressing ^^

The fact that the new HUD will be released in mid-chapter and not with the next chapter shows that they are taking count of the feedback and are working on a new version ^^

  • My pleasure ! i hope it will work i cannot wait to see amazing Kate cosplay !

  • oh i was about to post about the fact that in PTB the tech to not have to push M1 when on a gen with Esc was removed.

I recently discovered it thanks to Michi and it changed everything, i mean from someone who easily suffers from wrist tendinitis i can clearly say it made a difference in term of how long i could play survivor per day.

And i really hope the tech will stay coz it's not an exploit or anything but something out of QoL.

  • Hey :)

So i knew this would come out handy one day but you should definitly try and message Eric Bourdages who is the 3D Artist behind Kate. (and many other DBD characters)

Maybe he will be able and autorized to send you that png of the tattoo we never know !

    https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3o8LAg

  • I think the hook count doesn't actually count hook but phase.

So if you get hook only once and get into struggle phase it should count as you getting hooked twice.

  • It's overall better, i just don't like the standing still animation, that actually lack animation/human like feel ^^

  • Just make Premonition and Spine Chill as the same perk : Spine Chill with a cooldown.

  • Both sides are equally toxic because it's not a side that is toxic but the player.

  • Bond, Empathy, Spine Chill, Lithe.

During Rifts, i don't run a standard build since you usually need to equip a perk etc

But as a solo i rarely play with Iron Will anymore and equipped DS after all the time i got farmed/tunneled ^^

And i usually use Window of Opportunity and Kindred :3

  • Hell yeah finally <3

  • I think a totem counter could be good on the perk Small Game, kinda like Thrill of the Hunt has one.

This way Small Game would be change to a token-per-totem-cleansed perk and be buffed ^^

  • i like this change ! Clown will now be skill based and with the reload speed buffed you'll actually be able to real fast to protect a gen for example ! Also if i read it well if a survivor goes throught 2 yellow smokes he will go 20% faster right ? So does that means also 20% reduce speed if he goes throught 2 purple smoke ?

  • there is a new HUD ingame right now ?

I thought it was getting changed to the one in the Developper Update but only in Mid-Chapter Oo

  • Video proof + ticket to support for griefing.

But in that case you also need to report your friends who even when trying to help are actually holding the game hostage for EVERYONE when the killer, even if it's annoying and reportable, "only" take ONE survivor hostage.

im not saying you cant do well without it im saying it would help to make games more consistently by closing the information gap between solo q and swf

then it would have to be the old 8m aura reading version because the 16 m is already really good but would be to much to give as an inbuilt perk ^^

  • As a solo survivor i love running this perk but sometimes i don't and i do as fine : meaning not better but not worse.

Because even when i have it equip, there are times when nobody come rescue me even tho someone else is getting chased on the other side of the map.

And when i don't have it, it's pretty easy to know when to go for the save :

    • A = healthy and close : silently go for it
    • B = healthy and far away : stick on gen until you see someone else get injured or bar is already at 75% refers to A
    • C = injured and close : if i know it safe i'll go for it or if i'm the only one that can do it and trade a hook state
    • D = injured and far away : i'll stick to a gen if there is an other healthy teamate that can go , if not i'll either finish the gen or go before the hook state is over
  • It's was always meant to be available for everyone at some point. Especially as a community made cosmetic.

For those who grinded it we got to play with it for more than a year kinda like each Hallow Blight cosmetics available each year in the store even tho some we grinded for during an event.

It seems fair for me that new people or people that come back to the game can access the same cosmetics. And as you can see they are at 21K shards which isn't cheap at all and requires way more grind than what we grinded for during the Rift. So yeah i don't mind it at all and i'm happy about the idea of seeing more Elephant Clown !

  • Survivors always have been long in the evening.

It's because most friends wait for after dinner to play together so there are a lot more survivors players queuing. When in the afternoon/day, some of those friends like to play killer and so there are less survivors in queues.

    Easy to remember :

    • Day up to 6PM = fast survivor queue / long killer queue
    • After 6PM = long survivor queue / fast-instant killer queue
  • they are fun to play as and against. Just too much of a camping basement potential but otherwise i love them from both sides !

  • The game loves their original characters (Dwight/Meg/Claud/Jake)

But Feng got an halloween cosmetic not even two months ago :=) and you can equip Bunny Feng and do like it's a onesie

  • Coldwin.

I adore the reworked maps so i cannot wait for it to be reworked as well !

  • "The new cosmetics for the Ugly Sweater Collection will be made available via the in-game store after the holiday season. We will communicate the exact date at a later point in time. " :)

  • I mean the only one i ever had since 2016 was a harpoon gun and Deathslinger brought it so no sadly :'(

  • Calm Spirit is for not screaming against Clown and Doctor and not scare crows. Iron Will is the perk that lower the pain sounds.

As for now she seems to be buggued having Iron Will as base but it seems to be random and only for the survivor pov and not the killer.

  • thank you for this !

also about the tbag part : it's mostly use to be toxic but when a killer have been nice to spare me, at the gates i just crouch once to say bye then leave.

-While a survivor is leaving a locker, regardless of how far the animation is completed or whether it's a slow or fast leave, Victor's pounce doesn't damage them. Don't have a clip but try it, if they're in the locker they can be hit, but if they're leaving he rams his head into the wall like BHVR's bugfixing team are surely doing after reading these threads.

-The new main building on Azarov's is bugged for Nurse; she can't blink through it or around it consistently.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/NM8WCNHI7ZO1/1606991760865.jpg

-When you mori someone as Doctor with the illusory red stain, it stays there for the rest of the game.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/NCF76Y3ZFAIA/1606988310834.png

-Many of the bugged Yamaoka rocks that let you climb up them are now on Ormond.

-Victor can be placed directly under the hook, so he can't be kicked once a survivor is hooked. Think the old hook tech. This means as soon as he sees the survivor getting unhooked, you can switch and down the unhooked guy with no counterplay.

-Not sure if this is intended or not, but if Victor's active when a perk is triggered the perk doesn't seem to work. I had Rancor and the last gen popped while i was in control of Victor; no notifications and when i downed the injured obsession as Charlotte I couldn't mori them.

-It seems to be (tested this twice in a game) when Plague gets pallet stunned while charging/holding her vomit, she gets stuck at vomit charging speed until she fully charges and uses her vomit again.

liking this Doctor mori picture it's like : "See what you've done ?" ahah

Lol dbd has less active players rn then warframe haahahaha

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/O2MC6TGXJRRB/image.png

i mean 39K playing right now in the middle of the day in the middle of the week is still impressive.

I recall a time when there was around 20K active players in the afternoon ;)

  • I have a Radeon RX570 and a 4K monitor and i can run the game at stable 55-60 fps on ULTRA.

But only because i had to change the setting of the fullscreen in the ingame log file, because in an other frame than 1920 x 1080, your mouse will likely not respond from time to time as it will be "out" of the border of the game. Happened to me until i changed the log file so it would play the game in 1920 and not 3840.

That change also made me able to go from running the game at 45fps on LOW to the ULTRA 60fps i have now.
