  • Deathslinger - the longer you aim down the sights, the faster and more range your spear has. Instant-ADS would have like a 3 or 4 meter range, so pop-shotting would still be possible, and could easily do things like shoot over autohaven loops if you're both hugging it, or right after someone dead hards, but you would have to aim in for a second or two to get the full 18m range (there would be a sound to let you know you're at max range. Maybe also change some add-ons to give him increased range too?). So he would become more of an actual zoning killer that holds angles and capitalises on mistakes instead of zoning survivors by literally existing and doing nothing. And then you increase his ADS movement speed or reload speed or something to compensate.

I am all for spirit getting reworked being a spirit main, although I feel like footprints could be hard to see. Scratch marks for spirit while she's phasing could work, or the idea Otz had where she shows glimpses of herself. A buff to compensate would be to make her go a little faster in phase or maybe slightly faster cooldown, it doesn't have to be too crazy. I think this will make spirit just as strong as she is, but will be a lot more balanced. The stand still 'mindgame' has gotta be nerfed to the ground, which is something I hardly ever try to do.

The best thing is, that stand still BS wasn't possible when spirit was bugged and you could hear her wailing while she was phasing. You also had a very rough idea of where she was, which led to some actual meaningful counterplay. Wasn't the ultimate fix, but it was certainly going to be a step in the right direction if BHVR kept it in. Buuuut nope. It was a bug and all bugs have to go, even if it literally improved your game and people were giving feedback telling you to keep it in the game.

  • I want a good FOV without sacrificing an entire perk slot for it. Couldn't care less about SWF, DS, UB, they're all fine, and 95% of SWF groups aren't good and get themselves killed within 5 minutes anyway. I just want a field of view that doesn't make my eyes hurt trying to see through.

  • You counter them like every other killer with very little chase counterplay: you do gens and then rush out the exit gates. And you bring unbreakable.

  • Why don't we just double the BP earned by both sides...this is needlessly complicated and doesn't even consider survivors, which is the role where we actually need a BP gain increase, killer BP is fine.

  • No. We don't need another perk to act as a hotfix for the game's problems, we have far too many of those already. We need ACTUAL CHANGES TO THE CORE GAME. Why can't this be an option in the settings? Why can't we get colourblind options? An acceptable FOV or a slider for it? Why can't we get ANYTHING to improve the QoL in this game?

  • With add-ons he's A tier. Without them he's not anything special and pretty average. You don't even need discipline to make him A tier, even just a range add-on is more than enough. Being able to shock someone from so far away to deny window vaults with no penalty is really damn strong. He's so easy to play now too.

  • @TheStabbiNAngeL said:

Is this bad? we're allowed to play as we want, sounds like a normal game really. There's also ton of perks that help counter these types of strategies.

Of course you're allowed to play in whatever way you want, and you should be playing to the killer's strengths, but that doesn't mean people can't complain about how lame and boring they find the killer. I personally think their gameplay design is abysmal like Hag, but I understand if people like this killer and enjoy playing them like this, they're in their own right to do so.

  • Wait that's a thing now? Damn. Guess sentry mode Huntress is unplayable now :(

  • @Heartbound said:

I shake my head at survivors all the time. Usually it's to rub it in after they make a really poor play, or step in a trap next to me or something.

It's all in good fun, don't take it personally.

If only people thought the same way about tbagging and stopped taking it personally...

  • If Bubba is defending the basement chest, the gens are no longer the primary objective.

    I'm getting that chest.

  • It's posts like these that I'm glad BHVR doesn't take feedback from the forums because holy ######### if they actually did this...

  • Freddy, Twins and Hag. Most Freddy and Twins games go on for a horrendously long time and I just want them to be over with.

  • Nope, hoarder's original effect was still terrible and now it's even worse. Complete waste of a perk slot.

  • Well that's exactly how I have fun as survivor. I just talk with friends while we all play and chill. If it's a Deathslinger or Pyramid Head or something we don't really care anymore because we're talking about other stuff while we play. There's 0 point concentrating on a chase against these killers because they either don't give a ######### about what you do in the first place (Deathslinger, pyramid Head, Spirit, Nurse), or you're just running them normally but pre-dropping pallets and getting hit from 100 miles away anyway (Freddy. Seriously they need to do something about his awful hitboxes in relation to his actual model. It's the one thing I really hate about him, the rest I don't mind all that much)

  • Use iron will, that's the only thing you can do against her. Even then she can hear your breathing, hear the grass move, see the grass move, hear footsteps, hear you vault things, see scratchmarks...

If she's running stridor your iron will doesn't even matter anymore, just try and hold W as much as possible and prolong your down so your teammates can do gens. You can't counter a decent spirit in a chase so hide and do gens.

  • As survivor: hearing a chainsaw at the start of a match

As killer: ...Idk nothing's exciting as killer, maybe getting a 5 token cross-map as Blight, that's probably the most fun thing now.

  • Plague, Demo, Billy and Blight. And it's a damn shame too, I love all 4 of these killers and I'd much rather play against them than the stream of Spirit, Deathslinger and Pyramid Heads that make me want to never play survivor again. I do see quite a few Bubbas though, those are always fun, especially when it's a good Bubba that knows how to properly zone and mindgame with the chainsaw.

  • @WraithBaby said:

Oh okay, I've played him on consoles and I never have any luck with him. Before when you could still rush at 1, 2, or 3 I could get downs, but now it's super difficult. Like used to you didn't have to wait for his bar to fill up to 5 before rushing again.

You've never been able to do that though? You've always had to wait until you refilled all tokens before you could rush again.

  • Happens with Blight and Demo too. I'll make a good call, a survivor drops a pallet and I go to hit them with my power but wait nvm I hit the pallet and they got away just fine even though they should absolutely have been hit. Love when the game does that, it's my favourite thing.

His stalking in EW III got removed recently, so you can count that as a change, but for real he really needs some QoL changes and buffs, his power is really outdated.

I didn't actually know they did that #########? I thought that was only for Tombstone. Suppose I just didn't notice, I rarely stalk in tier 3 anyway unless I'm having a really hard time seeing survivors. But Myers definitely does need some buffs. I think they can keep the power as is and keep him a very simple and easy-to-learn killer, but they should add stuff to it like extra kick speed or attack cooldown while in T3 or something.

Honestly don't find her too bad with the add on that shows where you're blinking to. Without that though yeah that's hard.

She really isn't as bad as people make her out to be. Her kit is really simple: dash to a location and move through walls and floors. Takes a bit of time, sure, but everyone who keeps harping on about Nurse being "so incredibly difficult" makes less people want to play her because they've only "heard" how difficult she is to play and are then deterred from even trying when she's not that difficult to learn at all.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

So you're basically saying you want to play easy mode and stomp solos? Okay I guess.

A lot of people have the mentality of "oh these people are playing together? I've already lost". Always found that weird. It's like you're giving yourself permission to play badly because you think you can blame it on the game (don't get me wrong you can pin some of the blame on the game being BS because it is sometimes, but you can't blame SWF for the loss. Map RNG is probably the one thing you can still blame imo)

Killer should be extremely difficult and time consuming. I play solo que and i only escape like half my matches, isnt that some bullshit?

That's probably a higher escape rate than most survivors, what? I don't think it's bs

  • The biggest reason why we want things like more traps by default for Trapper, or extra movement speed while cloaked for Wraith is quality of life. Killers should not be so absurdly add-on dependent that they go from pathetic to good with just 1 add-on. It'd be nice to not have to dump BP into killers just to be able to play them y'know?

  • Glad I managed to snag one before they run out, I've always liked this Legion skin, might actually play them now if I ever want to chill out and just farm challenges and BPs, which is what Legion's good for tbh.

  • Killer is unplayable without BBQ and survivor is unplayable without Kindred. Always run these two perks. Even when I'm with friends I run kindred because contrary to popular belief, SWF groups aren't all seal team six constantly telling each other where the killer is and how many different kinds of bricks are on a wall and usually just talk about stuff unrelated to DbD and chill.

  • +15% extra movement speed while cloaked

    Remove lightburn

Rework windstorm add-ons or lower the values (+5/+7/+9 instead of +12/+16/+20 or something)

That's literally all they have to do and he's a good killer. I really hope they're gonna make simple changes like this instead of making unnecessary and pointless changes that don't really change the killer for better or for worse and everyone's like "...ok, whatever I guess" (Hillbilly's overheat mechanic).

Quality of life >>>> new mechanics imo, at least for now.

  • I never see anyone specifically go after people who play certain killers, but you'll always see people complain about those killers. Hate the game, not the player. If you do see people like that then unlucky, but I've never seen it on the forums. I'd say do your best to ignore them, and do whatever you want. As long as you're not blatantly exploiting bugs or cheating anything goes.

  • @slinger said:

With the nurse nerf. hillbilly, pyramid head nerfs being very recent, and freddy nerfs on the way I believe spirit doesn't have very much time left. Enjoy her while you can friends.

Pyramid Head wasn't nerfed #########? The changes that were made to his M2 cooldown did almost nothing, and the reduced cooldown on his ranged attack makes it even spammier than before. You can still do the lose-lose BS with him at every pallet and window.

  • @nursewannabe said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1838834#Comment_1838834

Yeah, i know, that's another reason why I believe he really did nothing special

@azame honestly if it gives no advantages why not play with normal screen res then?

Because people prefer the way it looks? Camera and player movement also feels different on stretched res.

I also can't really blame people for doing it for the better FOV. Because the default view is still atrocious and BHVR refuse to add FOV sliders of any kind to the game.

  • Maybe try perkless? It's what I did for a while and it was pretty fun with some killers. (Well, I ran BBQ and shadowborn because points and so I could see but that's it). Speed limiter Billy is also quite fun. Run it with the yellow cooldown add-on and get some really good chainsaw practice in. Or nurse with her 2 limiting add-ons, forgot what they were called. Or intentionally send yourself to Haddonfield or Ormond.

There are plenty of ways To make this game challenging. A lot of them aren't that fun, but they're usually more fun than winning every other game in 4 minutes.

  • This game should honestly be free-to-play at this point. There's a disgusting amount of microtransactions and monetisation in this game now. It's honestly worse than some f2p games. Even the free currency takes so long to grind up to buy those cosmetics (Well the ones that you can buy with shards anyway, some of them you just can't for...whatever ######### reason.) Some of them will take you literally hundreds of hours of grinding to buy without paying real money. Over a hundred hours of playing and grinding shards, and your reward is a single skin on one character. Awesome. Really cool. It's ######### absurd. And people are fine with BHVR throwing out so many cosmetics and battle passes every 3 months because they're "oNlY cOsMeTiC", because for some reason it's acceptable for a company to squeeze money out of its most loyal customers as long as it doesn't affect gameplay.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Just tunnel then. If you get hit by DS, accept defeat and know that it was the game's poor design that gave the survivors the win.

You think it's the game's fault you got hit by an anti-tunnel perk when you tunnelled a person off the hook? Slug them when you down them. Then think of the places where the other survivor that hit could be. Start thinking ahead in your matches and don't play on autopilot because that's how you lose.

  • You're not supposed to be using it in the open. Literally designed to be reactable if you use it too predictably, but when you start to use it the way it was intended it becomes tricky to dodge. Also his add-ons aren't bad. He has one of the better, more rounded sets of add-ons in the game imo with a couple exceptions. All of his add-ons buff certain aspects of a power that isn't add-on reliant at all to begin with. It's how it should be imo. They shouldn't give ridiculously good stat boosts like topknot or iri head (or old cooldown and charge add-ons on Billy, which turned him into a completely different killer). They should "add on" to the power, not completely overbuff it, and PH's add-ons do exactly that.

So essentially people don't like it if the killer plays the game. 🤣 Got it.

People don't like that's survivors play the game either, so yeah, do literally whatever you find the most fun. As long as you're not cheating anything goes.

mannnn xD please don't go on like that otherwise I'll get another heart attack, I WRITTEN THAT IT WERE ABOUT 10-20CM FROM THE SURVIVER, THE HITS WERE SO THAT THEY WERE NOT ON IT, so my question is why I count on cm with the hits and the distribute another killer with a 100+ ping meter hits? except that with slinger and demo I would say that they were on it! Unless it's even about milimeters for me now

Unless you're directly on front of someone using BL, lithe, sprint burst etc. Your hit will almost always whiff and it will screw you over because BHVR still won't admit that their system is bad autoaim and not this "aim dressing" garbage they keep going on about. As for the other ones you've posted Idk, most of those Nurse ones were legit misses. This isn't old Nurse, her lunge got nerfed in her rework as well as the cooldown.

  • @VikingWilson said:

Nerf? Are you kidding me? Her blink recharge needs a boost! It's PAINFULLY slow; no power should be add-on dependent.

Well it's a good thing she isn't add-on dependent in the slightest isn't it? I don't recall the last time I used add-ons on her, or saw anyone else use them. Double recharge is nice to have but it's so fast anyway that it's not even a big improvement if you already know what you're doing. You're going to hit those blinks anyway if you're a good Nurse, the slightly slower cooldown makes no difference.

  • @Emeal said:

You are assuming I run the usual meta.

People assume a lot on the forums. Like a LOT.

  • I remember trying to do crack Billy with his new add-ons. Didn't go well. I thought it would be fine but you're also 5% slower whilst revving the saw, so using the chainsaw for the curve mindgames around loops is almost impossible because you're so damn slow while revving. You should just run both engravings, it's not worth it at all.

Also I've been watching some old DbD clips and compilations and it's still so painful to see how much of a joke he looks like now in comparison to the Billy we had a year ago. I'm sort of used to the way he looks and animates now but it's still objectively worse than what we had before, and whatever they did to him was such a colossal ######### up that they refuse to ever address. But whatever, were stuck with it now I guess.

  • If I'm running Ruin+Undying, and/or playing as Nurse, Spirit, Freddy, Deathslinger or Pyramid Head, it's killer sided.

If I'm not doing any of these things and we're on a Macmillan, autohaven or the chapel, it's pretty balanced.

If we're on any other map, it's survivor sided.

    Basically, DbD is map-sided.

  • There's a disturbing number of people in here saying Midwich is one of their favourites. You're all either sadistic or have an unconditional love for anything Silent Hill.

But my favourites would be Macmillan (minus groaning storehouse, that map still has a lot of issues) and Chapel. Least favourites Midwich, swamp (literally can't bounce off anything as blight on this map. Infuriates me to no end) and Gideon Meat Plant.

  • They are very necessary. Unless you wanted solo Q players to be even more miserable than they already are by stripping away what little information they have available to them.

When you're a killer everything is toxic. One time I walked up to a generator and my terror radius noise made a survivor miss the skill check for his generator. I was pretty toxic.

Dude, too far! How could you do this to another human being? You WALKED TO THE GEN TOO-I'm reporting you. Not standing for this toxic behaviour any longer

no one "pissed in my wheaties" as you put it. You just are arrogant enough to end up making those claims with your proclamation, you are line the ones that complain that noed is too op and when people say do bones, they say the exact words you used. I'm tired of people who complain about something they can help. I had someone ask why should I do bones when it's the equivalant of 2 gens. I said it's not, and they insist it is. but it isn't 16 seconds * 5 totems = 80 seconds and that's 1 gen IF you are the only one to do it. but nope gotta do gens... I will not tolerate people that act like that and you are acting like they are so i extrapolated from your statement your likely stance on noed and ruin/undying.

the devs say they have ds on their radar to be worked on sometime in the future but they have to look at undying because it's being used too much. and so many people laughed at that because right after that they said they were going to working on keys and moris and then only released the mori change without any promise for keys to be worked except "sometime in the future but we think soon" great way to say never. and it's people that don't want to do bones that complain about undying being tooooooo OP and won't do bones. same mentality across the board.

You also need to factor in the time it takes to find the totem, not just the time to cleanse them. Their estimate is much more accurate than yours. And also consider that you have no idea how many totems are left on the map (unless you did them all yourself or are in a SWF) because we still don't have a counter for them. So you could've spent several minutes running around the map cleansing 3 or 4 totems only to find at the end it didn't matter because you couldn't find the last one and NOED proceed anyway, or you always cleansed Ruin and not Undying because of bad luck. And then when NOED does activate, the killer gets one down and the rest of you escape anyway because that's all NOED does. So nah I'd rather do the primary objective because I damn well know the survivors won't be.

LOL, you mean black incense the ultra rare? Litteraly the strongest addon in the game right next to Iri head hatchets for Huntress. Someone even upvoted your comment YIKES, it's not like that addon needs to be changed anyway. Well it wasn't the first reply but it was the second (not including mine), close enough.

Tombstone piece, mint rag and scalped topknot are all better than black incense but it is a really good add-on I'll agree with that. I don't think it's too strong for an ultra rare though.

  • @FrostySeal said:

Glenvale isn't even that strong of a survivor map, you only have to break 2 breakable walls in the main building to make it not a god loop, plus there's even a breakable wall at shack to make it weaker. The map is pretty small with some decent loops, but nothing unbalanced.

What's dumb is they made Glenvale's shack bigger than the other ones and put a breakable wall there. You have to break that wall or it takes a really long time to catch someone there. It's so stupid. I like that it's the same layout everytime and it looks real nice, but the inclusion of breakable walls instead of good pallets or better structures, and the non-street side of the map being almost a complete dead zone kill it for me on both sides. As killer I almost never get to leave the damn street, it's so boring

then NEVER complain about noed or undying. if you don't want to do your secondary objectives as a survivor you can stuff any ideas against noed or undying. why? because you decided you didn't care about a way to remove these perks and not cause them to affect anymore. you are part of the reason I and other people will take the extra perk slot and time to take to cleanse the totems just in case that happens.

Jesus who pissed in your cereal? Do you see me complaining about them in my comment? The only thing I dislike about undying is the aura reading, and noed is a terrible perk anyway.

  • I'm not wasting time cleansing dull totems, survivors already waste enough time crouching round the edges of maps and staying as far away from gens as humanly possible, so any time I'm not on a gen or being chased is detrimental and guarantees a loss.
