Change up your playstyle, change your load out, change your perks (I've given a lot examples in my post). Heck, try body-blocker Hag. You have so many options right in front of you. You have a choice to make Hag fun so have fun!
As for fighting her, it's all up to preference. Me, I like getting jumpscared and ending up with a variety of status effects I've never seen before and then wondering how the heck I got them.
I don't really have those options because she's only level 10 lol and I played her with no perks while doing the challenges. I much prefer other killers so they're the ones I'm spending my points on. Not a fan of moving at 110% speed, the only 110 killer that I like is Deathslinger because he has a gun. If Hag had a gun, I might play her.
-
I like it more tbh. I've always enjoyed the survivor POV music more and since nobody plays Demo, hearing it when I play him is nice. They need to fix the music lasting longer after you down somebody and then abruptly cutting off though. It's a bit awkward hearing it cut off 2 seconds after you've downed a survivor.
-
Imo? Naaah. She's the same as the Twins. Really dull playstyle. I remember using her for the challenges a couple of times and I could feel my sanity being slowly drained just running around the map drawing triangles then pressing Ctrl when I heard a notification and hitting a survivor, repeating until I somehow won with almost 0 effort. And as for playing against her, I hope you're a fan of not being chased and interacting with the killer in that way, because you won't be doing that against her.
I want her removed from the game so badly. Tbh I want every 110 killer gone for different reasons but Hag is my least favourite of the bunch. At least some people like her though and that's all that matters :))

You know whats funny? Instead of offering words of encouragement. Telling him how not all survivors are like that. Or giving him advice to improve his gameplay, some people just wanna be dicks. And they probably are the same people that wonders why surv queue is so long.
You can't give advice when there's nothing to critique. All they've said is "I got beaten as Legion on coal tower and I'm now uninstalling". If they had a video or showed a desire to actually learn how to improve me and others will definitely point them in the right direction and give some constructive feedback.

The only reason that works is dedicated servers bugging out dead hard plus bad survivors. Once they fix dead hard to work on dedicated servers killers can wait all you want. I ain't using dead hard until I hear the swing or I need the distance.
You can't dead hard a standard attack on reaction, even if it was on perfect servers, it's instant. You have to predict when they'll press M1. Sure you can react to a lunge, but we're talking about the survivors who directly run into a killer to bait a hit with dead hard, so they're not gonna be lunging at you. So you wait and then swing if they didn't dead hard.

He’s not as bad as people say he is, I think rather, is that people refuse to adapt to a Freddy at this high skill cap. 3 randoms and I just beat a Freddy with an arguably more challenging build. Granted I had a BNP, it only made up for the 1 PGTW he had to use. (Also the guy in 1st place let the end game collapse kill him, for some reason.)

The dude sent himself to Midwich and tried playing forever Freddy in 2020 when those add-ons do almost nothing anymore. Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer/BBQ Freddy is way stronger than that. Also no BBQ means you're guessing what gens are currently being worked on after you hook someone, so pop isn't all that useful unless you scour the entire map and remember where everyone is (which, on Midwich, you're definitely not gonna be doing that). That's not a good build at all

no i havent experience that as a killer but i wish i could so annoying when a survivor dead hard into you for the I frames doesnt make sense at all :/ that would be the one thing i want removed from dead hard the I frames
Just wait until they dead hard and then hit them. It's the most obvious thing survivors do in this game and so easily countered by just waiting after they turn around.
A lot of people forget to pay attention to little things like this, and play on autopilot. If you can get out of the habit and be more ready for things like this you start to save a lot of time as killer.

If you honestly think that's how you're supposed to play Clown, then you don't know the first thing about playing card games.
I mean what else would you call it, because the wiki calls it a bottle, and he definitely throws them.

How do you play Clown wrong lmao you throw a bottle at a loop, double back, eat a pallet then repeat the process until you lose.

Looping trees is enough to counter him, the smaller the loop the easier the counter. If you loop a victor on straight loops like tl, jungle gyms or everything that has a straight line he's gonna hit you 100% times. Plus he's not like hatchet hitbox where the collision is a small dot while the hitbox is a beachball, the whole victor has collision and even if he slightly grazes objects between you and him he's gonna fail the attack.
Me and a lot of other killers I've seen have not once missed a guy at a tree or small loop, and if they don't go down instantly it takes them maybe 5 seconds to figure it out. It's not exactly rocket science, you double back on the tree and then charge pounce, or you fake the pounce and run up closer to them.

But there is also no point in attacking them if they are together, you will just get punished for using him, i don't think it would be an issue, if he misses you smash him, if he hits you don't, that's 50/50, fair for both sides
But you're not going to miss, that's the problem I have with them. He's not counterable whatsoever, if you're injured and Victor's around you may as well just sit there because you're not gonna avoid him unless you're in a Haddonfield house or something where Victor literally can't get to you because BHVR definitely put a lot of thought into this killer's power.
-
@Healthore77992 said:
It's not about perks on Victor, it's how punishing it feels to play them, you miss and get kicked, I'm okay with that, but i successfully hit and down that survivor but other one kick Victor, and they get up before i can come, if they fix it they would be fine.
It's kind of necessary though. The amount of snowballing that Victor can do is obscene, and you can't ever get away from him: he's always going to hit you no matter what unless the killer makes a really bad error. Letting him go on a rampage like that with no way of stopping him if multiple survivors are injured would be ridiculous.

Serious question: does anyone accuse killers of hook rushing when they start downing survivors left and right?
I've said it before and I'll say it again idk what's so bad about survivors focusing on generators as it is their main objective just like killing/hooking survivors is killers. Let me break it down some, as I've seen above some people say that "it becomes gen rushing when" ..
When survivors run toolboxes maybe it's for a challenge or maybe they just want to run a toolbox because it's an option available to them? Resilience may give them more progress speed but at noticeable disadvantages such as bleeding, grunting and dying in one hit. All that being said if someone wants to run Resilience + Spine Chill and live on the edge that's their choice to.
When survivors refuse to leave a gen to do side objectives such as totems or heal.. Seriously? Sometimes it's better to stick to the gen if you're safe to and finish it then heal after. Why would I leave a generator I've been working on to go search for Ruin/Undying as now the gen will begin regressing fast?
There are situations where it's completely justifiable to commit to the gen just like there are situations where it's right for killer to commit to certain chases and I never see anyone compare these and it bothers me.
The last point I'll make is I just don't get it when I'm watching killer gameplay and one singular gen pops and they start saying like "ahhh, gen rushers" like?? I understand when several pop quickly in succession but I seriously think killers just get way too upset sometimes when even one generator gets done and I GET IT it's anxiety inducing as a killer since that means they're closer to getting out but I beg you to please understand that in most scenarios, survivors are probably just doing the objectives they know to do and it really isn't that much more deep like myself personally.
I'm not good at looping killer because I'm still really new to this game so I try to be that person that's always in the background hiding and working on gens and the only time I come out is to unhook and help heal my teammates. Specifically I use deja vu to try and keep the team from being 3-genned. Does that make me a nasty gen rushing player? If playing smart is wrong then idk, maybe it's time to find a different game or play more killer bcuz I swear people just hate survivors so much sometimes it's weird and very alienating to new players.
No, people don't accuse killers of hook rushing because that would be putting a blame on killers which is a big no-no. You can blame survivors for all of your mistakes though, that's the way it goes around here.
And about the "ah gen rush" point - a lot of streamers say it as a joke. OhTofu will make that joke almost every stream. He'll have almost won, and near the end of the game a gen pops and he'll say "oh my god these genrushers" or something like that as a joke.
-
No she absolutely should not be able to stand still like this. The reason why so many people wanted that sound bug to stay was because of this stupid stand still BS. She couldn't do that with the bug and it was so much better.

Wrong.
If you can stalk a guy enough to 99% and pop It right when you're in his face he goes down.
If you play the way you described you'll hit that guy and he'll just get a speed boost and will make It to a loop, now you are left with a killer that has 0 chase potential.
+ Why would you use stealth mid chase when you can moonwalk?
Eh, it makes sense to pop stealth for chases if you're running cooldown add-ons since it recharges very quickly with them. Forcing a 50/50 at long walls (not the jungle gym, just long walls on general) or forcing a survivor to camp a pallet at tiles on a 15 second cooldown isn't that bad. Your power will be back by the time you've carried them to a hook.
-
Wouldn't even be good as a non-hex perk. Literally makes survivors play in a more optimal way against you. It's so garbage.
Now if it also blocked windows for the duration it might not be useless with STBFL.

Yh and I can say that about all the killers in this game. Just because you know how to loop doesnt make him less than what he is.
Billy has great mobility, can use curving in any loop except VERY small loops which at that point are unsafe and has an instadown.
If we are talking about best 1.6m/s killer without taking perks or add-ons into the mix, Billy is your boy.
I'd have to disagree. Billy isn't even the best 4.6 killer even with add-ons, without them even pre-rework he wasn't that amazing, but he was free to zip around the map whenever he wanted unlike current Billy. You will almost never be able to get curves on good survivors unless you're running engravings, preferably both of them. He's just not fast enough to get round corners like that. You can still do it but only in very specific circumstances. And you absolutely can't do it on a loop survivors can see you on without engravings. Addonless Oni and Blight are better than Billy now for sure. And if you factor in add-ons Oni was already better than Billy with topknot and crutch/lion fang (purple duration or purple speed add-ons, forgot what they were called exactly)
-
Demo and Blight are common for you? Can we swap matchmaking because I haven't seen either of these killers in literally well over a month. They're not popular at all and I wish they were.
And I almost never see GhostFace anymore.

Yeah ignoring the bugs that comes with every new chapter release (with also the old ones from previous chapter which they don't fix), the grind to get ALL PERKS is ridiculous, we have almost 200 perks for each side.
Just remove the perk tier, that alone would be of great help. It was a cool additiong when the game released with like 20 perks, it needed some grind, but now, with the actual game state, NO!
I also like to mention I hate some perk tier that change like 1 second duration to 2 second or something like that.
Removing perk tiers is literally all they have to do. They would cut the grind down to a third of what it currently is. You'd still be spending a bit of time to get through bloodwebs but that would be fine, as long as you know that when you get a perk in the web, it's the version that's actually useable.
They need to do this sooner rather than later, because it's already at a completely unacceptable level. I've ######### played MMOs with less grinding than this
-
A lot of killers don't need add-ons. Blight absolutely doesn't need them, Demo isn't reliant on them in the slightest when you know how to play without the rat liver training wheels, and I've never been a fan of running add-ons on Billy, even pre-rework. The only ones I'll run sometimes are the yellow cooldown and pighouse gloves (the 2 add-ons that turn his overheat into what it should be by default imo)
-
Ruin/undying/tinkerer/BBQ Freddy with the 2 teleport cooldown add-ons is disgusting. I genuinely think this combo is almost overpowered on Freddy. It's way too good. Freddy uses tinkerer the best imo, idk what people are talking about when they say it's bad on him.
-
I would say Blight. Excellent mobility, good chase potential if you're good and actually learn him, a lot of really good add-ons, doesn't need slowdown perks but if you wanted to be that guy ruin/undying/tinkerer is a no-brainer build for him.
And he's the only reason I'm still playing this game lmao.

Billy by far is the most challenging to master at his full potential as he has a really hard maneuver he can pull off with his chainsaw that, if done at the correct loops, can be extremely unexpected and can result in a down from it (Did it once in KYF to have my comrade learn what the new perks do and so I can see how good he was at looping Billy, lets just say I am proud of him)
I wouldn't say Billy is the hardest thing in the game to learn. You definitely need to put in a lot more work learning Blight and Nurse than Billy and one of the biggest reasons is you don't bypass a health state with those two killers. You can make curving so easy by using Q and E and you get the same results. It's also only possible with engravings, or if the survivor isn't paying attention, because you simply don't move fast enough to catch them before they round a corner.
-
Well a perk loadout and strong killer will only take you so far. If you're making the same fundamental mistakes and habits every match you're gonna lose no matter what, like committing to too many chases, not applying gen pressure at the right times, not using your killer to their full potential etc. If you had a video of a match a lot of us could go through it and try and help you find out what went wrong and how you could improve.
You can also watch these guides that Scott made. Some are a little old but still relevant. He even has a Blight guide since you mentioned you were playing him.

The Demogorgon.
It might be because I play him way different than anyone else I've seen play him. Did you know that there's no restrictions on placing portals next to generators? I didn't. Now that I do, I roll up to the game with Corrupt Intervention and get active portals all up on the 4 Gens the Survivors can actually work on ASAP. Now they have a no win choice. Seal the portals, eating 12s of their time every time, or leave the portals alone and be visible to me at the push of RClick and (probably) oblivious because they're doing a Gen while sitting on a portal.
Its actually pretty brutal. No idea why I've never seen anyone else do that.
I thought about doing something like that with Demo, but you'd have to TP twice to get them active. Sure it's nice but you could've probably downed a survivor or two in that time and started your pressure that way instead. Suppose if you used Rat Tail + Eleven's Soda/Egg it could be worth it.
Oh and you probably wouldn't even have to hold M2 to know a survivor was near a portal, because Demo makes a unique noise if a survivor is on top of a portal. You would have to hold M2 to know where it was coming from though.

I personally think Plague is one of the most underestimated killers in the game. It may be because I'm a former Plague main, but from my experience the only thing holding her back are robbed hits and RNG. If a good Plague gets her fountain in a centralised area? That's a recipe for an uncounterable snowball if I've ever seen one.
I used to think that before, but now I'm not so sure. She was good before, but with the way the game is played now, and the newer killers they've released, her power isn't really a threat at all. And if your fountain spawns in the corner of the map? Welp, you have no chance to use your power anymore unless they cleanse, which they likely won't because good survivors aren't afraid of being constantly injured anymore. Same deal with Myers, their powers were good, but are now outdated and aren't that effective anymore. They're still fine in your average games obviously, any killer is fine at red ranks, but I don't consider them high tier anymore.
-
My thoughts? ...
No.
They still haven't fixed his animations that they completely butchered a year ago. They just swept it under the rug and have acted like it never happened.
and then nerfing the cooldown rate from 5 to 3.8 a week after release even though everyone was mostly fine with the changes was completely dumb. Seriously, why nerf it a second time? Were the devs just bored one day and wanted to change some numbers around? Was the nerf supposed to do something? Because it didn't. It just made Billy ever so slightly more tedious.
I'm fine with the overheat on his chainsaw. In fact in some ways it was a good thing. It stopped facecamping with the saw fully revved and a few other things, but some decisions like the second cooldown rate nerf, and the fact that it takes up 8 charges just to start a rev made me lose confidence in how they balance this game (and looking at several of their perk changes and the Twins, I was right with my doubts. Although they did finally change moris which was cool)
-
They need to be removed along with Hag. Or HEAVILY modified. Promoting a garbage, incredibly boring playstyle, and any deviation from it means an instant loss. So glad they made yet another killer of this type of playstyle.
Meh, at least we got Blight last chapter, and I really hope McClean is taking the reigns for the next killer, because from what I heard, Blight was almost all him and he did a great job making such a fun killer that it gave me a reason to keep playing this game.
-
Wait, something in this game has collision issues? WHAT?! Impossible.

It's yet another double standard. Killers can see DS but we already know that it's what caused the stun. Same with power struggle. This is a massive stretch at calling bias, even for you. Come on man you're better than this.

You hold W and do gens, and you also don't stay injured. Are you gonna have fun? Absolutely not. But Scratched Mirror is a terrible add-on that is only good for getting adept, because you'll be starting and "winning" a lot of chases and getting a lot of free hits.

Well yes that is true, but also if you have someone rush into the basement while carrying someone then that's free saves. They did nothing skillful or tactical to get those saves other than run a perk. The same thing for body blocking applies. You can't do anything except hit that survivor who most likely has DS as well. Sure they have to mend, but 12 seconds of downtime while everyone else is doing gens isn't very impactful on it's own. Too many perks in this game reward mindless plays and I think a lot of frustration/unhealthy gameplay comes from that.
"You can't do anything except hit that survivor"
You know you can like...wait out the BT. Or hit them immediately and not lose much distance on the other guy. Or run STBFL and you'll always be happy to see borrowed time.
Also judging from your name you're a Bubba main. Bubba doesn't give a single ######### about BT and can outrun the initial speed boost and hit the survivor again.
-
As has been said already, tofu's guide is still mostly relevant to current Billy. Curving and your general gameplan hasn't changed, he's just become more limited as a result of the rework.
Main thing you have to get good at is tracking survivors when backrevving. If you're not using speed add-ons like 90% of your chainsaws are going to be backrevs so getting better at tracking survivors while revving your chainsaw is the best thing you can practice right now.
And when you're moving around with the saw and you're getting to an area where you know a survivor is, or you see a survivor, try and move in such a way that you zone them off from stronger areas of the map. This takes a bit of practice and map knowledge to know how to do well but when you're aware of how to do this correctly it'll make chases a lot easier.
-
Welcome to the wonderful world of RNG.
-
A killer that knows what they're doing so I have to actually concentrate are the scary ones. They're not that common though. From my experience Blight and Billy players are the ones who are usually the best at running tiles. Michaels also get an honourable mention. Most Deathslinger, Spirit, Nurse players etc know how to end loops but I don't feel threatened or scared when it's almost completely out of my control. It's just "oh cool, I'm down in 20 seconds and there's nothing I could do about it. Nice"
-
Iron maiden is NOT a good Huntress perk. It's noob bait. You're using an entire perk slot dedicated to slightly speeding up an animation that's already quick, and can be sped up with add-ons anyway. Such a waste of a slot that could be used for something like whispers, stridor, Nurse's, brutal strength etc. Hell even bamboozle if you are one of those people.
-
100% a VPN gamer. Hope you reported them, you have video evidence so it should go through.
-
I predict chapters will stop getting released at around that time maybe a year or so before that, the game will be free-to-play, have maybe a good 5 to 10k playing daily, and get around 2 or 3 patches a year, with the battle pass still rolling and the grind worse than ever before.
The core game will still probably be fun though. Maybe.
-
What is it with people resurrecting threads that are a year old recently please stop
-
Sort of agree but your statement about Wraith needing more than just a couple of add-ons as default is kinda wrong imo. With just windstorm Wraith goes from complete garbage to good. Which is why I hope they're not just making him invisible from a distance with his upcoming buffs. All he needs is a faster movement speed up to between yellow and green windstorm levels and he instantly becomes a good killer. I really hope they listen to the community on this one just this once, I might actually start playing Wraith again. Ever since I ran out of windstorm add-ons on him he's become unplayable, and I need to put BPs in other killers.

Lol at the people who've never played an online game before. You could look at tournaments in other games with near 0 ping and still see a bunch of bs hits.
You wanna give some examples? Because the only one I can think of that's anywhere close to being this bad was CSGO's replay system back in the early days, and that's from a replay, not from the player's perspective.
-
You can probably get away with just running DS+UB, I don't see borrowed time being used that much anymore, it's become a lot more situational (but when you take it off you immediately encounter a situation that calls for BT and you regret taking it off lmao). Then you have 2 free slots to use whatever you want.
-
What everyone else said: heal and rush gens, and don't bother trying to counter Victor in a chase because you can't.
-
Make tight turns, avoid open areas, think about where he's going to bounce to catch you. Don't hold W or you die. A lot of this you'll learn by playing Blight yourself.
In a lot of situations a good blight will get a guaranteed hit on you, but that'll give you the speed boost and distance to make it to a good pallet or tile.
Spinning blights during a lethal rush should be an absolute last resort because it's not going to work against good ones almost ever, unless they heavily screw up. Against inexperienced Blights, you can wiggle your character left and right before committing to a direction, and seeing a lot of people's replies in this thread that works on them for some reason. But you should always assume a Blight is good, and you can usually tell they're good if they're confident in using their power to catch you (i.e using it often and not just when it's a guaranteed hit like in a straight line or open area)
