Incorrect
Countless times people would say so and so cant be in the game for "reasons" but as long as the entity can grab the person or thing within a certain period of time it's fair game.
- Here's an example of people who keep arguing that Chucky cant be in DBD.
- Their arguement- He's too small, Can't lift survivors on the hook, cant see him on the maps running around, wouldnt be a fair fight in pallet chases.
- My arguement back- Chucky can work because if any of these people actually watched the movies you'd realize that Charles Lee Ray was on the verge of death and chanted one of his black magic spells which allowed him to transfer his soul to the good guy doll.
- During this moment this would be the perfect time for the entity to snatch Charles because it feeds off hope so Charles last chance to continue living is him putting his soul into the doll.
- Him transferring his soul itself would essentially make him weaker/susceptible to being overwhelmed by the entitys power and dragged into the entity's world/realm due to his soul being easily exposed since it's not in his body.
- *Therefore we can now have Chucky in DBD as his human form but able to use his Good Guy doll as some sort of assistance in the game , kind of like the pigs RBT.
- *Another point as to how this can work is because literally bill died in the L4D2 campaign and was snatched while he was in limbo and lives partially in the DBD realm.
- So my point is as long as you can prove and logically make a killer appear in the DBD realm anyone is game.
It's crazy how some people have no imagination on this forum
The community wants a doll chucky not the chucky who died as a human in the first movie. Also you never addressed the points directly you changed them and than made a rant about why he could be dragged into the entity realm, addressing no balance issues at all.
- he is too small so the only way to make him work is by giving him 3rd person which would really ruin survivor stealth.
- if he cant have 3rd person any loops would kill him due to being unable to see survivors.
- pallets. how would he break them and couldn't he just go under him?
- how would he perform grabs from items vaults and lockers that would be believable .
- what wold his power even be?
The only way i can see the devs making him work is by taking chuckys soul and placing it in a entity made doll that is at least the size of freddy. However that would ruin the chucky we all know and love so they might as well make a original killer that is a man sized doll to save money from licensing a near unusable character.
-
if we got chucky which i hope we wont... HE BETTER SLAM DUNK SURVIVORS ONTO THE HOOK!!!

Speaking of Tyde-bashing.
anyone who still thinks Mettle o Man is a bad perk, Tyde agrees with you. He thinks flip flop is a better perk. That should really be all you need to know.
ON TOPIC:
i do not disagree with his assessment that the emblem system. I think it is pretty accurate. I am personally getting really tired of getting iri in chaser and not popping because all the gens were done. Or getting iri in lightbringer and having to go back and farm killers for points..: and hope not to die. Because no matter how much of a potato a killer might be, they are still a killer, and you will die on your first hook if you are caught after then gens are powered.
MoM is better but i also think flip flop is underrated, i have had so many games in the past were that perk would have saved my life and using it now has also gotten me a few escapes. right now im really enjoying using unbreakable, tenacity, flip flop, and dead hard while bringing a med kit.
-
myers is extremely overrated and the reason he puts him in A tier is because thats the killer he plays best so like anyone he wants his favorite to be seen as one of the best. he also tended to place the killers in tiers based of how well he plays them like were he put huntress and hag.
as for this video he really just stated the obvious and if you thought about how the emblem system worked you could figure out all these things faster than if you watched the video. still a good video if your new, haven't played in a while, or are totally oblivious to how the pip system works.
-
I don't face camp it wastes to much time... Unless the gens are powered and I caught a survivor that just pissed me off throughout the match.
Edit: why am I getting a notification whenever someone comments on this thread?
-
Use these two perks, make your choice and devore hope. Myc helps you learn how far 32 meters is and devore helps you know how far 24 meters is. By useing these perks 24 and 32 meters will just become a thing you will know and the 8 meter difference can be used for some measurement.
-
Its fair perk has counter play and you can avoid it almost entirely by not going after the unhooked. Since its change I have only been hit twice by it.
-
no the perk just got a reasonable buff and the timer is long enough. If the timer paused you would be able to heal than go find the killer and do a full chase. The perk is for anti tunneling and 1 minute after a hook for activation is plenty of time.
-
agreed and it now can take away pips from you which is really annoying
-
@ShaneQ said:
Exhaustion would be good for it.
Only problem with broken effect is dead hard does not cause broken effect and can be used over and over. MoM only has one use if you slap a broken effect on it nobody would use it, maybe cancel heal progress so you can't be healed to 99% before you take the hit
the affect would be short say between 20 and 40 seconds just enough for the chase. As for dead hard itself is fine but not when used with MoM
-
the perk itself is fine its just the perks that can work with it that breaks it, along with insta heals. needing 4 to 5 for a down is unhealthy game design and it does not help that the perk will activate against any killer that cant damage with an ability.
-
this is the only game that makes me feel like a predator and its actually the most balanced game when compared to others such as white noise 2 or Friday the 13th. nothing is more satisfying than perfectly predicting survivors and outplaying them or getting a perk combo to work out.
-
make so you have perm exhaustion when its ready to be used and a short exhaustion timer after its activation along with a short broken timer to prevent insta heals, boom fixed.
-
Im fine with both of them however MoM should give you the broken status affect after use to prevent insta heals as that combined with DH is really broken right now. if the perk had some restrictions that conflicted with other perks such as dead hard it would be balanced. for example when MoM is ready to be used give perm exhaustion and a short exhaustion timer after its activation say 20 seconds and after its affect also give the broken atus for 30 seconds. DS however is fine even if the same things can happen as its short timer to be used can be countered by not tunneling or waiting for the minute to expire.
edit: MoM is fine how it is but certain combinations with other perks can make it broken especially with an insta heal.
-
MoM is fine but being able to heal right after a hit to greatly extend the chase is broken. After it activates you should be broken for 30 or more seconds.

Then you're assuming EVERY survivor plays the EXACT same way?
Gee idk mabye the fact that I only created this Because at rank 1 I've faced 2 games were everyone did it and in other games most of the time at least 1 person was doing it. Of course every game won't have all four doing it but getting at least 1 every other match shows us something.

@Tru3Lemon said:
now brothers its time to say to the killers its time to adapt like they said to us XD
I'm sorry when in the hell did we tell you to adapt o yea, after op pallets vacuums were removed, DS and exhaustion was nerfed, and infinites were removed; All thing that were serious issues that you guys cried about afterword. With the introduction to a perk that can't be countered and can be paired up with other perks like dh, bt, ect, and an Insta heal it becomes more broken than post ds so no this is not an instance were we can adapt but the others on the other hand can be.

A couple things to keep in mind for all of the killer mains out there:
Borrowed time is useless if you don’t camp
DS is useless if you don’t tunnel
Unbreakable is useless if you don’t slug
Dead Hard is only useful the first time they use it, and is useless after if you know how to play against it
Adrenaline is useless if you have NOED
MoM is not that big of a deal, and if the devs really think that there’s a problem with it, it takes time to fix
Pretty much my game style since I don't tunnel, camp, or slug and I'm ok with MoM as it is but I just want it to were you can't Insta heal when useing it. I have come across a few people who do that and the chases are far to long, even longer than post DS chases when it was used correctly.

The 400% is not logic. 16 Perks vs 4 Perks is also not logic. 400% Movement Speed just grabs this "logic" and shows how abstruse it is.
No it does not... Each perk and in this case second chance perks can affect the end result of the game drastically. Are you really going to say 16 vs 4 perks is the same as saying a survivor has 400% movement speed? The answer should be no since we are talking about actual game play which is affected directly due to perks rather than a absurd statement that makes no sense due to it not being in the game. Hell a better thing to say is that survivors are 400% more affective than killers since it at least holds some truth even tho it is still an absurd statement.

Did you even read my post? I clearly stated I’ve read such posts and that this post isn’t about how to counter noed. LITERALLY the only reason I posted this is because as a killer main, I didn’t have an issue with noed and I rarely used it, but now that I’ve played survivor I can see how annoying and crutch-like the perk is. If you can complain about DS til it gets nerfed, then why can’t we do the same for any other perk?
Simple, there is no perk as op as DS once was. Noed has counter play while ds did not, you can only blame yourself if your not cleansing totems you see throughout the game.
-
@drunky26 said:
"JuSt ClEaNse ThE tOtEmS" isn't a proper counter because first you have to find all 5 totems and cleanse them which does take time.
And I don't really want to waste my time finding and destroying them because the killer might not even use the perk.
Only bad killers will defend it and say it's balanced "just destroy the totems haha".
It's a crutch perk for bad killers. I've seen so many bad killers get undeserved 4k, it feels the worst when you loop the killer for a while, you outmindgame him, you're clearly better than him and then he literally sh*ts on you with his little crutch perk.
Just get rid of it, devs. Thx.
There are plenty of perks to help you find them and if you don't don't to waste a perk slot bring a map. Seriously just learn the spawns and if at least 2 survivors focuse on totems then noed never gets activated. Not too long ago I made a kyf group and told them im gunna try my best to end the game as fast as possible and ill use noed. It never activated and out of the 8 games I won 3.
-
Idk about others but I've developed a killer sense where I just know which part of the map a survivor is. You just got to have good map knowledge and you have to have a survivor mindset when hunting to find them. People can be very predictable in this game up to the point were you kill half of them, than they mindlessly wander holding out for hatch so you kinda just have to hope to see them.

"all"
Literally just nurse, the rest isn't competitive against cheat with friends due to lack of mobility.
*looks back to my prime hag days were I didn't get anything less than 2 kills for a month straight
Yup totally only nurse is a viable slow high rank killer

I loved your rework.
I hate NOED for 2 reason:
-first as a solo survivor i don't know how many totem left in the map.(And searching for the entire map may occuped my time for 5 minutes.. in 5 minutes after the 5th gen i want already been in another game/search lobby)
-2nd: reward noob killer and give 'em ez unfair kill.
Whit your rework , a killer must deserve his instadown hit endgame and it's no counter with cleansing totem but countered by skill of survivor themself.
both your reasons are not good enough for 2 reasons
- finding totems is easy due to perks for it, obvious spots, and 4 individuals who can look for totems and take it out if it does activate than go for the save if one is needed.
- if you die to it you can only blame yourself for not being careful when there is one gen left. killer got you deal with it.
-
just because the strongest perk for survivors in the game got nerfed does not mean a strong killer perk needs to be nerfed. the perk has plenty of counters and counter play so stop whining.
-
survivors
- dead hard (a good dead hard can drastically extend the chase)
- decisive strike
- unbreakable
- adrenaline
- deliverance
- borrowed time
- self care
killers
- noed
- rancor
- devour hope (when it works)
- blood warden
- save the best for last
i cant think of any more for killer. what people have to understand is that a killer perk is supposed to be equal to 4 survivor perks. the problem lies with the fact that most strong survivor perks are more active throughout the game unlike most of the stronger killer perks. it also does not help that there are 4 survivors which means 16 perks vs 4 perk.
-
-Be wraith with any build around devour hope
-get a good totem spawn
-get my 5 stacks with only 1 gen done
-Kill them off one by one with a successful ambush every time
Any game with my wraith, this is what I want and its actually happened quite a few times over the past month.
-
Not even gunna read this I will just say that I agree however there are so many counters and you can just BREAK THE TOTEMS and boom its gone. At most you get everyone if they are dumb but most times you get 1 or 2 downs and than people leave or break the totem and than do a team save which is really a 50/50 on if you get a player down if they do it right.

No map presence, can be easily looped, wastes a lot of time puking on people and she is slowed down immensly while doing so. Survivors can heal in seconds even when they have broken status by using fountains. She is terrible after they nerfed her.
What did they nerf she seems the same to me from the ptb
-
Dude the highest que time I've gotten so far has been 3 minutes... Maby its where you live that has resulted in absurd que times.
-
I was playing leather face for a daily and only leveled him up to 40 for perks so i didnt have anything good on a already bad killer. naturally at rank one with competent survivors i ended up with no kills and them at the gates so i just went to the basement for the memes then those idiots followed me down there. I was on my phone and look up to see all of them t bagging in front of me, up to that point i was afk and forgot about the match i think about 2 or 3 minutes went by. As any good killer would do to cocky survivors i revved up the saw and downed two of them while making my way to the stairs than the other two after a few back and fourths at the stairs.
lesson: Dont go into the basement with a leather face like why would you even consider it?
-
it would be to abuse-able but im sure i cant change your mind so maby someone here can preform a brain transplant to do so
-
i will only level up jane for her perks since id rather p3 all killers until i p3 all survivors. as for plague imo her default outfit is better than the others, devs did a good job on her design.
-
Last time I played swf was over 2 months ago and probably have done it at most 5 times, being a solo is hard when you can't rely on your team.
-
Spirit and huntress, and as far as I can tell the plague too.
-
I'm pretty sure We will get a prison map some day. my idea is Most of it will be inside while a part if it will be outside like a court yard, something like the doc map but more open and with a outside area. I really like the idea of it and the idea of some psychopathic criminal that got loose and killed all the guards and prisoners would be a cool idea for a killer.
-
Dude... i dont even use the aura i just like the blood points. besides the perk has a lot of counter play and is in a pretty good spot balance wise rn

‘He was red rank too... ... it’s normally new players.’
Current ranking system, a new player could rocket to the reds within a few days, especially if there’s been an influx of players such as a free weekend or something.
Veteran players can even get to Rank 1 less than 12 hours after a rank reset as well, that’s with constantly playing the game without any breaks I believe, unless I’m still underestimating the ranking system.
Hopefully the new one with 2.6.0 will fix the new players getting into the reds, but the new pip system seems to require both Killers and Survivors to do well and hit at least 24k bloodpoints just to get one pip. Hell, Tru3 got a 4K with 5 gens remaining and only black pipped, so that system will need tweaks but will definitely fix the problems with noobs in red ranks it seems.
yea its way to easy to rank up on both sides, i constantly face survivors that clearly do not belong in red rank and then i get the salt from the wounds on their pride when i destroy them. I also hate that the way i enjoy the game which often is not that different from when i play seriously always gets me to red rank just after a rank reset. Meanwhile as a survivor I constantly face terrible killers and survivors at around rank 3 and wonder why the hell do i get matched with them and how is this killer the same rank as me yet this bad(not trying to sound toxic). I'm really hoping that this next chapters ranking system separates the skilled and the average because i'm tried of getting easy 4ks and survivors/killers who don't know what they are doing.
-
@HavelmomDaS1 its up to the billy wether they hit you or not since the killer sensitivity and chainsaw speed can't be dodged in time when the saw is lined up for a hit, close range of course. That's why he's top tier.
-
@Theluckyboi said:
Hag, i play almost every killer but i cant bear her, she is just so damn loopable, and if you have urban evasion or a flashlight her power becomes basically useless
Both of those have never been an issue for me. Also just put a trap at a loop and boom hit or at the very least they throw down the pallet. I find that in higher ranks its better to just put most of your traps at loops with some in path ways so that those loopers get punished. While we are talking about overrated, urban evasion is a overrated counter to hag like why would you use it during the chase she WILL hit you all it does is make saves a little safer for you.
-
Id say when it comes to making decisions I'm better than him and I always try to play without letting a single mistake go by. But I got to say he is very skilled and I can't do as well as him with say nurse, spirit, or huntress.
-
Id rather just get an increase to how much shards you get after each level of devotion so I can buy more things especially when there is a limited time thing were cosmetics that cost money can be bought with shards.
Also no on legacy I have a friend who has been playing ever since release on pc and he himself only has 4 legacy pieces dispit playing the game back then about 6 hours a day.

Don't you just hate when facts keeping putting the lie to this statement.
Free escape, this isn't true because free means getting something for nothing and in your control. - The survivors have to power at least 2 gens in order to get the hatch to spawn. The other 3 survivors must die for the last person to get a chance at the hatch. The last person has to make an escape without getting hit/grabbed/downed etc.
To be free after that point the survivor would also have to be able to go to the hatch and not be able to be hit/downed/mori'd/grabbed by the killer in any way shape or form.
For all those reasons the hatch at that point isn't free and that is a fact because the reasons listed above.
Now if someone does nothing all match and just hides and camps the hatch and jumps in yes that's a free hatch escape. You could argue that technically they did do something which is evade you the entire match to get to that point.
The very definition of free is to get something for nothing, to have something be in your control. To receive something of value with no expense or effort.
Free definitions::
adjective:
1.not under the control or in the power of another; able to act or be done as one wishes.
Meaning you could walk to the hatch and jump in in full view of the killer and never be touched and thus escape.
adverb:
2.without cost or payment.
You got a good point but you missed one thing.
If a survivor gets to the hatch even as your standing on it, they can always jump in after a hit or even if you down them its all a matter of patience. Hence why hatch stand-offs exist
-
2K with at least one hook on the two who escaped is a win for me, if I did not hook the other two I lose
3K is a regular win
4K is where I can rug it in any toxic salty survivors in the end game chat
-
I just re watched the stream and at a point it showed in the bottom a survivor who was a fourth of the way sick but got unsick and healed at the same time. I think this is to encourage survivors to use the fountain to give the plague her full power
-
Play the new killer for extra immersion

Depending on corrupt interventions timer I say that the perk should also activated after the last gen and block the switches for 20 or so seconds. Having a perk that only activates at the start of the match sounds a bit underwhelming to me.
