  • Hag is about tied with billy, she does not need a certain map to do good like huntress and even if you get a good huntress map she can still do better. with hag your movement speed is no issue since your using your traps and small TR to get hits and downs, if your chasing a survivor for more than 40 seconds your playing her wrong. As for Freddy hes good but cant apply the same map pressure as hag and cant get multiple consecutive hits to put major pressure on survivors. Freddy can also easily be looped even if hes using his default power, all you have to do is play the memory game with pallets which is at least for me pretty easy.

edit: Also survivors who run around wasting your traps are just wasting their time, they often mess up and let you get right into chasing a new target. In all my time plating as hag a team like this is also rare and has never won against me.

  • Mind breaker should work if a gen is worked on no matter how much progress it has. As a survivor its very easy to not run for 3 seconds hell you can get that done in a chase.

  • @DocOctober said:

Indeed, it's almost as if the game expected you to use juking and losing line-of-sight to win chases.

yea good luck with that when i can see survivors just fine through corn. Also juking good killers and getting away is very unlikely.

  • I play on console with him in red ranks every now and than but the only games you can stomp with him is when you hit at least 3 people, quickly down the final guy you hit, than hook him and repeat until you win. But Lets be honest that rarely happens and against good survivors that loops him to hell you need a lot of luck and skill in a chase after your frenzy ends which still doesn't cut it against good survivors gen rushing. You can still have fun with him in mid to lower ranks and thats where we will have to have fun with him since any plans to change him will be at least 6 months from now, most likely more than that actually.

  • For real? 4 head ons wow thats either some really dumb killers your playing against or your trying to get them with it a lot. Once i know someone has head on i just swing into a locker i would check or a locker someone would be in and a lot of the time i hit them as they stun me which i wouldn't count as getting a successful head on stun. it can be used on the killer when hes chasing someone else but every survivor thats tried that with me i heard them go into the locker except for one case were a survivor used Q&Q but he still didn't extend the chase too much. when someone is hiding by a gen thats been worked on its obvious they're using it when i know they have it, if they are hiding in a random locker simply looking at the lockers while passing them scares people into using it which saves time looking for them. i feel like the perk just gives people too much confidence but it makes lockers semi viable for safety.

  • you can always check the player count on the steam charts, i don't know if it shows the player count for ps4 or xbox tho.

  • isn't IT a similar existence to the Entity? Be a bit weird to have two entity like beings in the same realm along with me boy OG clown.

As for which one i like Stranger Things better since its creatures and the upside down are more of a threat to the world than some dude stuck in a certain town.

  • Wow there a lot of builds im going to try out today. Thank you all for your suggestions!

  • I might just buy the pass depending if some of the awards are BP or shards. I play this game so much that a battlepass could be worth it since i will complete it.

  • The Florida man. Those people are so random that I cant even think of a power for him.

Just go ahead and ninja vanish

I Tried this a while back its pretty fun but against a killer that's good it rarely works. I might try it and use the new scratch mark perk when the dlc drops, it seems like it could help with tricking the killer.

  • Im against camping unless there is someone that has really pissed you off or if the last gen got done. It's just boring for both sides idk why some people do it game after game.

Well, survivors claim that NOED and ruin are unhealthy interaction and yet have more counterplay than this combo. So tell me why you think that this combo is no " unhealthy interaction" ?

I mean if your going after someone knowing they have DS and that more people might have it since its a popular perk tell me what changes inner strength brings? if anything you waste the heal when you take them out of a locker after 8 seconds. The perk is designed to stop tunneling and if your going to try to tunnel them right after they are unhooked them prepare to be hit with that stun because thats what the perk is meant to do.

As for NOED and ruin the perks are not much of an issue if even one survivor focuses on them. With NOED break the 5 or 4 totems its not hard and people well be breaking them more now that inner strength is a thing. Ruin is probably the easiest thing to deal with because for one you can break the totem and two you should be able to hit them great skill checks its not hard.

This is from someone who mainly plays killer btw. not my fault you like being a jerk by tunneling people.

For the same reason why hatch closing got a second chance.

Hatch closing was introduced as an idea the devs wanted to try out to stop hatch stand offs and they were imo much worse than camping. They didnt have the EGC during that time so the survivors during that test would hide until the killer gave up or sslooooowwlllly work on a gate. what fixed this was a 2 minute timer that put a stop to the game now please give us an idea on what could fix camping without it being easily exploitable. This is not just for you but anyone reading this that thinks they have an idea that could solve camping.

  • The hand addon but they're literally the worst addons for her so dont use them. They are meant to stop or hinder loops but Survivors will trigger the traps and run to another area or just continue the loop and you most likely will not get the hit.

honestly just use the hand addon with duration addons and have fun with that, if you put a trap in some of drop spots in the map you can make survivors fly and thats about the most fun you will have with it.

  • Depends on the plague, i for one can get downs by mindgames and simply outplaying most survivors so idc if you dont cleanse, because of this i run perks that slow the game like thano, ruin, pop, and lastly whatever i feel like using ( probably will use surge when the dlc drops). I think gen rushing without cleansing is really the best option but thats obvious and like i said i run a build to hinder it so most games were people try to rush fail to do it fast enough because of ruin, pop, and thano.

edit: I also bring an apple addon most of the time and having that one fountain ready for you when you need it has saved me a few games and it also sometimes causes the survivors to start cleansing which leads to me snowballing games.

  • All im gunna say is unless the Gates are open and theres not a good chance of getting someone else or if the survivor your camping was super toxic or annoying, dont camp. Your just wasting your time along with the person your camping. Your not getting better at the game and your more than likely getting less than 18k bp which is actually less than getting no kills but still being active and getting hits and hooks. Hell i dont camp so i would not know but i bet your also not ranking up or are barely getting pips so your ruining the newer players experience.

  • @Cymer said:

Did you ever play as a hag? Or mint rag hag? Or are you just posting because monto made a hag video?

Mint Rag and Shackles can be powerful, but you give up your ability to "trap". With Mint Rag you need to be extra careful where to place your traps, so that you don't teleport to the wrong one. Shackles removes the camera yank too, so you cannot longer misguide survivors away from loops and teleport hits are almost impossible unless the survivor stands still at the trap.

These add-ons gives hag the power to protect a hook, gen and area better. And beside cutting of a loop, there is not much she can do during a chase.

Mostly you proxy camp your hooks with MYC to synergies well with the add-on.

Still, crouching don't trigger a trap, flashlights and firecrackers disable traps.

DS and BT guarantee almost a successful unhook or at least wastes her time.

She is loopable. Just don't let her decide in what direction to run.

With Mint Rag, look behind you while in a chase, the moment she teleports, change direction.

If she is in a chase you can run around and clear the area of traps.

There are a lot of options.

I really advice you to playtest her for a while before mindlessly post and whine in the forum.

She is a strong killer in the right hands, but has clear weaknesses to exploit.

Her only weakness is trap management when using mint rag along with tping to the correct traps. since she can still tp during the 15s cooldown to activated traps within range shes still not very loopable like you said, if anything she plays the same way but with the power to tp at will. Also what do you mean dont let her decide what direction to run that is what happens at loops and in chases.

My point is that you're contradicting yourself.

If a Hag is picking up a survivor, you can blow up all of her traps if she's trapping an area or unhook a survivor basically unopposed. Her teleport also has a 15 second cooldown, so if you see her teleport away, you can run over those traps and waste them as well. If she's being super campy in an area, then push generators, just like you do when a killer normally camps.

There's a lot of options. Sometimes you don't always get to save the survivor on the hook. Don't play into the Hag's strength of her map defense and then complain that "there's no counter" to it. Play against her weaknesses instead.

Id like to correct you, the 15s cooldown is for tping to any trap however when on cooldown you can still tp to activated traps within 40 meters of you so assuming the hag didnt tp very far you might get grabbed off the hook.

  • The OP is right however he is pretty exaggerated. imo from using mint rag (im not gunna talk about rusted shackles cause its mainly mint rag) the addon is without a doubt one of the strongest addons thats never used. since it allows you to tp to any trap every 15s and you can still tp to traps 40 meters from you if they are activated so the addon is a beast when used right. The reason people dont use it like this and instead for just camping or traveling is because its disorienting as hell if you barley use it and tping to the right trap is a pain again if you dont use it.

The only downfall of mint rag is that it can consume a lot of your traps so your going to need to replace them more often if your constantly tping to inactive traps. If you face a camping hag use a flashlight thats the only counter to her camping but then again she could just put another trap nearby.

  • Not gunna lie i feel the same way but for me i cant tell if im always playing at my best or not because Doing the most optimal thing as a killer is pretty easy. The only difficult thing for me RN is playing nurse and ghost face but anything else i usually 2k or 3k unless i come across a really optimal team but even then i can 4k as long as im playing a killer im used to like hag, billy, or plague. Do i think this needs to be changed? Not really this game is as balanced its going to get, any small changes wont really effect how survivors and killers play and anything big affecting how you play killer or survivor is very unlikely to happen.

  • I doubt it will be a movement speed thing so my guess is another perk similar to head on. Hell i dont think we are going to get another one of these perks for a while.

Chase is the only time they can really work. But once peeps know its a Hag they urban around. Unless they're potatoes.

Now if we were to talk about overrated counters this would be 1# on my list. just because getting saves are safe with those two things (Urban and a flashlight) it does not mean your safe from traps for the whole match, also how often will you run into someone using those two things when your playing hag. If she puts a trap at a loop when your there you cant do anything, you will also not be able to keep track of her all game so in a chase your still going to activate a trap, and your not going to crouch all game so you still might activate a trap near a gen or path your running. this is all also with maybe 1 or 2 survivors using urban evasion with a FL so hag is still getting hits and slowing the other 3 or 2 survivors.

  • The portals are ok for map pressure, as the match goes on it will become more useful since they wont be spreed out so getting to one to fast travel and sneak up on people wont be to difficult. They can also give you info on survivors locations if you put them near gens or gates. but still it all depends on his dash since it might (more than likely will) be useful at loops with long walls.

  • The dash is what will make him strong id say it only takes 1-1.5 seconds from gameplay shown to us to be able to use the dash. its also very fast so activating it before a corner of a loop or wall will get you some sweet hits.

  • @SuperSaiyan4GT said:

One thing I like to add is that when you are being chased and you run around let's say a stack of tires, the killer can dash quickly around the object striking you. That should not happen at all

someone just started the game and doesnt know how to keep track of the killer or loop. that is what im getting from this. if a survivor is good the only loops were this happens at are the ones that can provide cover for the killer to mind game. any loop that has low coverage like the ones on autowreakers are 90% safe if you know when to drop the pallet and how to loop. hell there are even more stronger loops than this like god pallets where you cant mindgame at all and are forced to destroy it.

edit: Also this game is balanced around the killer being strong enough to be at least on the same level as four other survivors so of course your gunna get downed even if your good because your not ment to be able to run the killer around all game. You can if your way better than the killer but thats on skill not balance.

  • i want to see skin with entity markings or something, like to show us that it really has the demogorgon under its control.

  • This post is by someone who hates hag and does not play her. like flashlights are probably the most overrated thing against her because who the hell goes around the map looking for traps at loops at most they provide slightly safer saves and even then just predict a path after the save and trap it. NO ONE looks for traps unless its by a hooked survivor or a popular loop and even then they sometimes mess up. everything else you mention can be dealt with by simply being good at hag. as for trap sabo teams they can be easily dealt with since they are more focused on your traps than gens to the point were they waste time looking for them, never i have lost against a team like this.

also haven't gotten less than 2 kills a game for 2 months of playing her at almost every day so unless i have faced noobs in rank 1 every time for 2 months im sure shes good.

  • well you will only enjoy it for so long, also good luck doing well past rank 10 since camping without ending chases quickly will result in a lose.

  • As a player that loves stealth and playing against it... No.

  • @BlueSweater said:

    My best advice?

Dont fear the killer, face them, try to throw pallets in their head, try to run them around loops, the sooner you get comfortable with this, the better,

to add to this dont be too greedy. dont go for saves right after the killer hooks a survivor and learn how many loops you can do before you get hit. also try to run with a plan, remember where pallets and windows are located. if your on a gen dont get off in the killers terror radius unless the killer gets too close or you know the killer is checking the gen.

  • The last dash you see when the demogorgon hits dwight seems to be near the max range since it seems the animation nearly ended before hitting dwight. as you could see the players didn't actually play very well compared to the level of rank 1 but with that dash range i can see it being very useful at many loops, jungle gyms, basically any long corridor, and obviously out in the open. Edit: there is also possibly addons to increase its range.

His "chasing" ability looks like Billy's chainsaw at short distance, but doesn't oneshot. Easier to use, though. Countered with old good looping and break of sight.

Actually there are a few loops and jungle gyms where he will be able to get some hits that billy cant get with his saw because the pounce has a quicker charge speed and is faster. i expect there to be a ton of moments at loops and jungle gyms where the killer will get a hit right before the survivor can vault or get to the pallet.

  • he does not, the devs would have talked about it while explaining the killers power. also why even add it when he can do a charged lunge while standing, pig 2.0?

  • nice b8 m8 but for real that lunge is sick! i can see many loops were it will be a free hit if properly used like the L pallet wall thats common on every outdoor map. if a survivor goes the long way (right) than your going to hit them. it will also be good whenever a survivor gets chased into a straight path like the side of houses on haddonfield.

Hag is stronger than Huntress, but the 1 reason why I put her lower than Huntress is because of 1 simple thing. swf. Back when I was a rank 4 Hag swf woulD deactivate my traps and go to loops that were no traps and yes I was setting traps but someone always had to deactivate them. I felt so powerless . huntress is hurt by maps and you can learn to deal with them and even keep your threat in the chase. hag- as much as I used to love her, swf don't even give her a chase to down anyone, at least Huntress can down swf

I play rank 1 hag every reset and can see your point but im assuming you dont play her constantly like i got her to p3 all perks and ran out of green addons with 40 yellow remaining. when you know what your doing swf's constant trap activation hurts them when you start letting them do there thing and go after the people who are hurt and healing. i use NC and M&A so i often end up killing a survivor early when i face a team like this when usually id just ignore the unhooked but try hards are met with try hard gameplay.

edit: also teams like this are rare so its not to much of a problem when you just need to change your gameplay.

  • Id say hag is better than huntress simply because her traps are good even on bad maps for her like farm. huntress when faced with a difficult map for her will struggle unlike hag who can just place traps at pallets if there is no better areas and call it a day. hag also has better map pressure due to being able to tp from afar and sneak up to survivors with her small terror radius if you use M&A which you should. also that whole thing about hag being able to have her traps dealt with by teams is a not a problem due to her setting speed and the survivors wasting their time and possibly getting hit if they get greedy. huntress is simply a good chase killer but thats kinda it and hag can do way better in terms of chases and map pressure.

  • Im looking at the first picture and i think i might know how the demogorgon portals work. if you look at the top left you can see another portal and it looks like the demogorgon is facing the opposite direction of that portal as if it came from it. I believe that we will be able to enter a portal and than instantly travel to any other portal on the map. i also believe we will be able to create them or that they will be everywhere on the map which may make them decent for chases depending on how fast and often you can travel and use them. both of these would explain why you can sabo them because instant travel speed to gen to gen is not bad.

however based on the last few killers we have gotten the demogorgon might have a secondary ability for chases like a charge lunge that can go farther than normal but with limited mobility similar to the pig. this is all speculation but im pretty sure that im right about how the portal telloporting works.

  • same but i also make the fingers scratch the survivor

  • I had a game were i was playing pig and a nea with a trap got unhooked and ran right into me while i was sneaking. she stopped looked at me than came down to my level and we had a staring contest until she died. funny part was the remaining survivors joined us after they completed the last gen and bathed in her blood when she died. this game is weird at times.

  • I disagree with camping after the gens are powered, if i cant get another down due to teamwork than let them come to you. Also i dont tunnel but if you run into me at lunge distance your getting hit but i will leave you and give you a chance. Unless two people dc i will continue the game as normal. Lastly toxic survivors that t bag and flicker their FL take priority over the others.

  • Even if it is fake lets all be honest, that killers power would be awesome and effective against loops like both a slow down and it can injure is pretty strong even if its limited to a trail that follows you.

  • Thano and pgtw is actually really good on her, i find that stalling the game with them and ruin wins me a lot of matches especially against a group that doesn't cleanse since i can get pgtw to go off frequently. These perks also work when you do get CP because of how fast you can injure and down survivors.

Edit: A gen takes 80 seconds to repair, assuming all survivors are injured thano's 16% action speed debuff will make the gen take 92.8 seconds to repair. After a kick with pgtw it reduces the gens progress by 25% so effectively you knocked out 23.2+ seconds of work on the gen depending on how long it goes without being repaired. This stacks up when everyone is broken and your getting downs.

  • Straight lunges are easy as hell to dodge just derank to 15-20 which i accidentally do every few months because i dont play survivor enough. If this was introduced id seriously give up playing at all for both sides simply because as a survivor its to easy to do quick turns and as killer you would have to be right ontop of a survivor to hit them.

  • If im a survivor id start killing the other survivors with the hatchets in the lockers. If im lucky i can join the legion or get on good terms with huntress.

  • As someone who plays her in high rank i can tell you that the best builds is anything that stalls the game; mainly ruin, thano, and pgtw all at the same time. In low rank you can use anything since people will use the fountains but generaly rank 1 people stay broken. If you go against these people let them get gens near big loops like shack, cow tree, and coal towers window loop. Without corrupt purge these loops waste too much time.

Some big maps can hurt her unless its a farm map, corn is easy to see through when they are sick and often results in fast downs. If you get corrupt purge anyone found is a dead man. In general if you get it than its very easy to down or injure anyone you see and it causes others to cleanse themselfs. Because of this the apple addons can be useful for starting up a cleancing party which often stalls the game or outright wins it. Some groups will however refuse to cleance which is why pgtw and thano are really good perks for her in order to slow the game and eventually win.

Tips i can provide is to try to prevent groups who are cleance happy from using all the fountains as it resets them which allows them to cleance too far from the gens for you to collect (this happens during the last 2 gens sometimes) and if you get 3 or more fountains keep using until you run out so they dont go to waste. The charge speed and infection increase by vial are the best but together causes people to not cleance so its best to use one with an apple or another addon. If someone is doing a loop that has a tall wall and you have corrupt purge sometimes its better to go for a regular hit. Lastly if you find hatch and close it just infect the gate switches and wait at the one that will become uninfected first, reinfect, than switch to the other gate. Generaly people cleance during or before egc so all you have to do is wait for them to infect themselfs and kill them.

Sorry for long post im tired and had nothing better to do. Need to stay awake :d

  • @thesuicidefox dude do you even play as low TR killers in high rank like seriously enless people are out in the open your gunna get closer than normal and see them also before you post think about your point first cause i can simply say that there are no gens around corners that give you a view of the map that you imply. i would also like to point out is that killers have no stationary objective which means they can look wherever they want, enless its the beginning of the match or the killer cant find the survivors they are certainly not predictable. Also enless you suck at playing killer your not going to patrol gens the same way each time. Last thing, what you say implys that myers sucks hard since he couldnt possibly sneak up on survivors after they know its him yet every time i play him i easily sneak up on people at rank 1 even when theres only 1 gen left to repair.

I'm talking about playing as a GOOD SURVIVOR.

Once you know the killer has M&A it is super easy to beat. Doesn't matter how good the killer is, if you are a good survivor you can counter play M&A very easy. It's called game awareness.

Also I see Spine Chill quite often as a rank 1 survivor. I use it myself and I know many others that use it also. This besides the fact you don't need it to counter M&A, it just makes it way easier.

Fact is, no good survivor will fall for this gimmick of a perk. But majority of survivors are not good survivors, so killers get this false impression that the perk is way better than it actually is. This is the same fallacy as something like Sloppy, which is USELESS against good survivors that just play the whole game injured. It only has value when survivors heal, which again are generally the not good survivors.

Dude as stated objects block line of sight which makes awareness useless and geuss what gens survivors like to knock out first, the gens without cover and walls. Its like you think the survivors will always have a clear line of sight which they often dont

  • @thesuicidefox said:

IMHO it is way overrated. It makes absolutely no difference against good survivors because they will notice the change in your TR and realize you have M&A, which then changes their strategies. I really don't ever find myself falling for the smaller TR because if you suspect the killer has M&A you just make an extra effort to track them visually or by some other means (Spine Chill).

The only killer who gets actual tangible and consistent value from M&A is Myers, and that's mostly because of how it combos with Dead Rabbit. His TR is so small at this point that you can actually get the drop on good survivors if you understand LOS and survivor's perspective.

Hag and Spirit can get some value from it too, to a lesser extent, because they have already a small TR. But even then it can be countered by good positioning and awareness as survivor.

But for any 32m TR killer, M&A is a meme to me. Sure it may help against the 90% of survivors that are trash at the game, but against a good survivor it means nothing. I honestly laugh whenever I see a normie killer run this perk because it's an absolute waste or a perk slot.

those points you mentioned are assuming that the killer is an idoit. And i think you underestimate a low TR, here are my points on the perk since i use it a lot.

    1. if the survivors are going to be more aware it doesn't matter as you should be using trees and walls to get close also gens surrounded by walls forces survivors to rely on the TR to know how close the killer is.
    2. the decreased TR often catches survivors off guard and you see them as they go hiding or even after they hide since they cant get very far after noticing you.
    3. barely anyone uses detection perks and their range still makes hiding difficult. I haven't even seen spine chill used in rank one and as a rank 10 survivor i see it used only ever few games by one or two survivors.
