I don't think they can make doc worse honestly. If they make his shock have a bigger range with no addons then thats a great buff and would make him way better at stopping loops. This is also the most likely change he could get because his base shock range is pathetically small and no matter what you pretty much always need range addons to get benefits from his other addons.

IF the devs made it so the killer could prevent the hatch from opening by stopping an animation of the survivor opening the hatch keys would be balanced imo. Here's my idea on how they could be reworked
as for mori's they are weird since they feel like they should belong where they are but they turn games into ez 4k's that often cause the killer to depip or safety pip. I agree that they should be built into the killers as a final kill but I also don't agree with most ebony mori nerfs because they feel like they belong as they are however I will agree that something is needed for them like another restriction. Maybe give survivors a timer they can't see where after X time any survivor who has been hooked can be killed by your hands.
edit: Actually now that I think about it making mori's only avaible to use after an X amount of time seems pretty fair as it will give the killer a reason to go after everyone but not allow the killer to eliminate a survivor early in the game.
-
you should try to cancel it after getting right behind a survivor if they are in the open otherwise try to block a vault, pallet, or doorway they are headed to then end it. If they turn around at all when you try to block their path immediately cancel frenzy as it often results in a down assuming there isn't an alternate vault or pallet they could use.
edit: This will be slightly easier to do after the new legion changes come out since he will have increased speed in frenzy.
-
I already did all the difficult challenges but at least those long tedious challenges will take less time. thank the ENTITY that they listened to our feedback.
-
LOL I already did all the difficult ones all that's left for me currently are the long tedious survivor ones like use 8 keys, heal 15 survivors, escape 10 trials, and get 15 IR emblems.
-
I actually like these challenges except for the ridiculous noed one where you have to sacrifice two survivors during EGC that challenge was annoying and took me about 6 games to complete because the survivors just hid until the blood warden timer ran out and than left or left as soon as they saw i had noed. I only got it done thanks to a super greedy player when he went for his team mate because he thought i wouldn't slug him even tho it was obvious he had ds

I play her pretty often with a slow down build (thano, DL, pgtw) so while survivors don't cleanse she slows the game drastically simply because the debuffs stake up quickly. But thats all she can do. You are basically a M1 killer that can quickly find survivors and with the right build you can slow the game to a playable point. That kind of play style bores a lot of people and there are stronger killers you could play so its no surprise that people would rather play another killer. However if you do come across that one match where the survivors do cleanse she becomes really fun to play and is stronger than most killers but those matches are rare since people just don't cleanse even with a slowdown build.

For a moment I thought you were talking about plague.
lol at least plague's power helps find survivors easier and can become lethal.

My man everything spirit had going for her is nerfed, how are you going to tell me that nerfs across the board are not major ?, she might not be dead like nurse is, but be god damn sure she is not going to get played, not much.
That's the thing, i've seen good hillbilly players, i've seen good nurse players, even clowns, but i have never ever seen a good spirit player ( and i play a decent amount on eu), interesting...
BTW i love the meme with the headset, might aswell don't buy a monitor and buy 1000$ headset judging by the meme :)
alright you got me with that bait, should have realized it in your first message

I had people like you saying the same thing about nurse, just dont miss the blink 4Head.
She will go down 100%, don't even think about trying to defend spirit after the nerfs, is she unplayable? noo, is she going to be played ? yeah maybe 2 or 3 times out of what ? 50 games.
dude nurse had a MAJOR nerf this just removes collision and slightly reduces her reappearance speed, have you seen good spirit players? they almost never use collision because they listen to the survivors footsteps and their breathing/grunts of pain and phase right behind them and down them. Even if a survivor passes through a good spirit player they will know right away because they will hear the survivor go behind them. Seriously comparing nurses changes which were pretty much major nerfs to spirits nerfs is laughable.
-
I hope that the legion changes make him better because i love using his power but constantly seeing all the survivors escaping and t bagging at the exit gates really makes me consider playing literally anyone else. I think the weakest killer i play often is the wraith would play trapper but his play style to boring me.
-
honestly i just want her to have better UR addons, the ones the devs gave her are HORRIBLE and whoever allowed it to pass clearly has no idea how much nurse needs her blinks or how much nurse needs to be able to blink through objects. Anyone remember when nurses lunge got increased after blinking? That would have been a great UR addon as for the one that gives her a extra blink literally just remove the downside and boom good addons but nope she got the worsts ones in the game.

No 6 second animation. Just limit it to how long it is open.
Purple key opens hatch for 2 seconds, pink for 4. Done.
the point of this is so the killer can stop the hatch from opening so survivors can't have instant escapes if anything this change would just screw over the remaining survivors. as stated escaping should be difficult, require time, and be unsafe. the fact that at a press of a button and you're scott free is bs and is the most unbalanced thing in the game, imo even more so than moris.
-
I mean i can play hag and get like 2-3 grabs a match from vaults alone, literally just play hag, spirit, nurse, or a stealth killer.

Hags difficulty is vastly overrated. She doesnt require mechanical skill, since you can skip that by spamming the teleport button. She WOULD be skillful if she had a small cooldown when you press the teleport button, since she would be reflexbased. But right now, instant teleports take no skill and guarantee a hit.
You learn Hag once, you perform well with her forever. She's very uninteractive overall. Trap the good spots, wait till they get triggered. Hang someone, watch the snowball, gg. As long as you dodge 4-swf flashlight squads, she has the easiest time 4k'ing at red ranks out of all killers for me.
I don't spam the tp button because i would break my controller so i do rely on my reactions but besides that i do see your point. Once you learn how to properly place traps it becomes second nature but knowing were to place them and what paths survivors take is where people struggle. I also often see hags who don't know how to manage their traps well or what they should do when everyone sets off the traps when she goes to hook someone. So while it may be easy to just set traps at pallets and vaults and get hits when they are activated, if that's all you're doing then survivors can just avoid the pallets near the gens you're protecting and run to other safe areas of the map. like i said its grasping her play style is what makes her a unpopular pick among killers.
-
The reason hag is the least popular is because she requires thinking ahead, being skillful in reaction time and trap placement, and being very difficult to play if not used properly. If you're the kind of person who just mindlessly places traps and chase survivors you're going to do bad with her hence why her pick rate is so low because her play style is hard to grasp. Same with nurse she takes a HELL of a lot of skill now so really the only people who can 4k every game are the pros and they are very rare to come across. So while nurse does have some bad stats it does not reflect how a god nurse does because they 4k pretty much every game.
-
Here's my key idea that focuses more on balancing them than just giving a worse version of using franklins to deal with them.
-
@switch said:
Nurse and spirit are down to B, after the nerfs they are bad, very bad, i've barely seen any nurse players since the nerf same will happen with spirit.
Billy and Oni are S tier, rest of the list is good, but the top of the list is screwed.
dude the spirit nerfs don't affect good spirit players at all, she will still always get hits out of phasing because spirit players rely on sound not collision detection. she still plays exactly the same in the ptb as she is now so her place has not really change.
-
why nerf billy? he can still be looped and its possible to juke the chainsaw, literally just dont be out in the open in his TR and most of the time you can have a proper chase.

Plague. So many people who play Plague at Rank 15 think that she's good because morons cleanse against them. Plague is easily the worst Killer in the game and is way worse than old Freddy ever was. At least Freddy had stealth and game stall. Plague is a default Killer whos power is either NOED or Huntress on steroids. Literally everything that Plague does is based on the Survivors making mistakes: Survivors being found too early, Survivors not dodging her puke, and Survivors cleansing to give her Corrupt Purge. Plague is incredibly easy to loop and gen rush since she is a default Killer with essentially no power. The only reason that people win with her is because they get lucky and find a dumb Survivor early, get them to max infection, and then start the snowball which is the only asset that Plague has.
or you just run slow down perks like thano, DL, and pop as the survivors struggle to get gens done, plague can still mind game and get people because its not to hard to down people since they are all noisy and injured. I think shes good and im rank 1 currently, also shes way better than old freddy like how did you make that comparison when Freddy had nothing to help him in a chase, find survivors, and still had to hit them twice.
-
I throw pebbles, maybe me and Adam have more in common than i thought.
-
I often run bond and whenever i come across one of these players who have not done anything in 5+ minutes i get the killer to chase or follow me to them and most of the time the killer actually will either follow me without hitting me or chase me and then as soon as they see the immersed player they go for them. sounds scummy but when you realize that player has had a pretty boring game so far its only nice and considerate to get them some action with the killer.

Hag.
She's a toy when dealing with survivors that know what she does. Her trap range/ teleport time doesn't let her hit survivors before they can get to a loop, meaning a survivor just needs to spam her traps with impunity at max range with a loop nearby to invalidate her. Also, she's one of those killers that flashlights completely neuter.
Have fun looping a godloop with a survivor with flashlight.
this post right here out of all of the ones i have seen is the most survivor viewed in here. first off why would a good hag be out of her trap tp range unless there are 2 survivors left and even if you activated the traps as she is carrying someone you're wasting time looking for them and giving the hag info one where you are. second a good hag will always hit you if you activated a trap because she will rarely be out of range and activating a properly placed trap will always get the hag a hit. third flashlights are SO overrated against hag, sure you can make saves safer and get rid of traps at good loops but that's it and if that is all you'er doing then you're wasting your time which is good for hag. also i find that survivors who do go trap hunting with a FL often accidentally activated the traps they are trying to find and are one of the first people to die because of it.

How do you deal with loops as Hag? I don't play her much so... because wouldn't setting a trap just push them to the next loop? Or do you do a fake out like with trapper?
if its a loop most people run to than set a trap and leave the survivor you're chasing, it sounds counter productive but as long as you have a web of traps around 3-4 gens that are close together and protect them survivors will have to come to you and they will trigger the traps as you chase them.
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
Hag. For sure. Majority of Hags that I face just use their traps to camp people on hooks. They don't use them for any actual map pressure.
that doesn't mean shes overrated that just means no one you have faced has been playing hag properly.

how can HAG deal with looping? Not only does she have reduced speed, Her power is basically useless against loops unless you trap every loop, and even then it might not even be that useful.
yea because she wont have traps set before hand, dude her power always gets you a hit at loops if you placed the trap correctly. also chasing survivors to a non trapped part of the map is not how you play her sometimes you just have to let survivors go and get them later when they are healing.
-
I'm pretty sure that the devs mentioned that the most likely killer to get a rework is doctor.
-
4 out of 5 ruin skill checks i hit sometimes if im really into the game and alert i don't miss any of them.
-
The only nerf they sre going to do/should do is make his demon attacks not count as basic hits like legion. thats imo the only nerf he needs.
-
@anarchy753 said:
So he's halfway between Billy and Leatherface, but has to work harder than either to trigger his power?
Actually from what i have seen his power is pretty easy to get like really easy. after you hit 2 people you get it and you can always find piles of blood later n the game to collect. I saw a guy get into his power like 5 or 6 times in a game and obviously got a 4k by always downing at least 2 people each time.

billy moves faster, he doesn't need to farm survivors for his power to be used. and the extended lunge is basically still billy. don't forget when he picks up a downed survivor he instantly loses his power and needs to re-farm. he has no mobility OUTSIDE of when he is in his power and when he is doing the dash he is slower than a billy using his chainsaw
Idk man i watched a streamer win 4+ games with Oni and 3k-4k with only 2 gens done each game. he used infectious fright which on Oni is just insta down after insta down. He can also use his power a lot more loosely than billy and still get downs. He can also flick the insta down which makes hitting survivors with his power WAY more easier than billy. Just because he cant use it anytime he wants does not make him worse when its so easy to get it.
-
@SteelDragon said:
he wont be nerfed, in his current state he is a MUCH weaker billy, think of if billy had to get gas for his chainsaw from the survivors. that is the oni in a nutshell. C tier at best
Dude being able to down multiple survivors with one attack, and have a better charge/dash than billy, and have an extended lunge that insta downs imo makes him better than billy. Hell it only takes 2 hits on a healthy survivor to get the power and finding blood piles that easily gets him to at least a 3rd of his power are in fact easy to find. he even breaks pallets faster than billy i dont understand how he can be worse when its just so much easier to snowball with him.
-
Hag rule #1 get franklins if you see it in your blood web and only use it if you see 2 or more FL's. Other than that just play normally but always trap their FL's to sometimes get a free down.
-
I find that the main problem is that eventually the killers playing nurse will die out and since she is hard to learn and punishes missed blinks players won't dedicate themselfs to learning her, This will result in literally no one playing nurse.
-
I mean it won't affect the actual good spirit players so i don't mind it being removed, besides it was always a little awkward when you couldn't move both as a survivor and when playing spirit.

Myers overrated.
Hag overrated. This does not mean she bad at all, I just think she'd generally considered better than she is. I also think it's quite weird that people put Hag as underrated when the vast majority of people think Hag is indeed top tier.
I mean i can do better with her than billy, nurse, or any other killer and rarely don't 3k-4k with her. the last few times i didn't 4k with her were due to 2-3 people escaping with keys which i don't really count because you know its a key. I also snowball with her a lot and her low TR combined with M&A often allows me to get close to healing survivors and down them. I just really don't see how she would be below A tier when she has good map pressure with her traps, a low TR, and can end chases and start chases quickly.
-
@ShadowRain said:
Doctor is underrated and Hag is overrated. Doctor is a good staller put Sloppy and Thana on him and then survivors will be struggling to cure madness and heal after getting mangled. Hag relies on add ons, the increased teleport range ones otherwise she’s mediocre.
dude i never use those addons and still 4k pretty much every match except for hatch escapes in red ranks. i even play her addonless since i ran out of duration and trap placing speed addons which are the best ones imo.
-
If they revert the base kit change and give her the ultra rare addons she deserves instead of the current ultra trash she has nurse would be fine.
-
the rank reset puts the player base back at a few ranks to get them close to each other an improve match matching times. This also makes finding a match easier for a few days if you were a rank 1 and allows you to play with non viable killers without getting destroyed. If ranks never reset we would have longer wait times for people who are in ranks that have a low amount of players.

I haven't encountered a single key throughout the entirety of Tome 2 being active.
well lucky you because yesterday i had 3 games were 2-3 people escaped by using the key and so far today i have seen 2 brought into a match in the 2 hours i played as killer.

Ah, so despite keys existing since the start, NOW it's a issue.
Thanks for having my back guys, been seeing an issue with hatch and keys since day 1.
idk what you are talking about whenever i see a op/nerf this thread people usually also mention mori's and keys. Main reason i made this thread actually is because for some reason the use of keys has gone up drastically since the release of the lvl 2 archives. they have always been a problem but were out shined by insta heals.
-
@Artyomich said:
People would still get out regardless but hey at least it's better than just wasting for the killer to find you and jump in front of his face.
Though I think it should be longer BUT add ons to decrease that time so people wouldn't just bring their stupid I don't lose the key add ons combo every time.
Yea but with this the killer can at least find and stop a survivor nearby from opening the hatch, I guess an addon could be that opening the hatch makes no sounds so you can stealthy open it near the killer.
-
I would rather not have to play against pc players on console mainly due to the fact that survivors on pc can turn ridiculously fast and us console peasants only have a finite amount of sensitivity with the camera than on pc. Besides for me getting matched with players is not to bad at most i have to wait 2 minutes as a survivor while killer it takes me about 30 seconds.
-
Cool Poll but I did not like any of the multiple choice nerfs, imo she would have been fine if she just got her addons reworked and i think a few others feel the same so adding that option would be nice.

"his power gets him free hits it does not help down survivors so decreasing him to base movement speed will ultimately make him worse."
The power can reduce the deep wound timer of the survivor, you have a reduced fatigue for each survivor hit so it gives a bigger reward for doing your job as a killer that is supposed to spread hits. Also, you even have 2 ways of downing someone with this: by reducing the mend timer to 0 or hit multiple survivors and then face VERY short fatigue and down them with the basic attack.
I will disagree with you when you say the rework they did was something related to good. No fun for both sides and still a very ######### straightforward killer. The power hurts him more than helps, even if you don't do any mistakes using it.
He is a 4.4 with this change that i propose, yes, but also you have a reduced fatigue that REALLY makes up for it and even compensates. You did your thing, now get rewarded for it.
I agree that their add-ons suck and deep wounds, thats why i proposed a change to deep wounds and add-ons should be reworked according to these changes. I don't like numbers without testing tho.
Thx for the feedback. :)
EDIT: Forgot to mention that it is very easier to chain hits with these changes by making them faster, vault pallets and the power lasting longer when hitting someone without deep wounds.
ok i didn't catch that part about the reduced fatigue thats a good idea however i think the majority of the community will hate it if legion can just keep hitting you with his power until you get downed because that was extremely annoying and took no skill to do. I still dont think that he should ever go back to 4.4m/s tho since getting 3-4 survivors with frenzy requires some luck which would make the speed nerf meaningless they could also just go to a pallet and loop it like normal if they are injured already and know that you are going after them.
-
wait so if the RBT is activated by the last gen they can still escape? i thought they died if they past a certain point inside the exit gates. I dont play pig or go against her a lot so i wouldn't know
-
I didn't have any trouble with the first archive the longest one to do for me was literally just to kill 5 people since i got all the others done the first time i tried.
-
I think the problem is figuring out if it was a DC or an actual connection problem because people can just turn off their router or system that they play on to avoid the punishments. I know that for xbox you literally can just close the game and reopen it to get past some games that try to punish you for leaving during matches so i think they want to make sure that they get the banning system right so that they don't accidentally punish the wrong people.
-
yea i get where your going with this but he was actually worse to play as a 4.4m/s killer during his release than he is now because while his power gets him free hits it does not help down survivors so decreasing him to base movement speed will ultimately make him worse. The devs actually did good with his rework imo its just that legions design sucks since the mending timer is so easy to exploit and being injured is not threatening when the killer cant benefit from it and is basically a m1 killer.
if you want to make a legion suggestion its not his power that needs to be looked at but the deep wounds timer, addons, ect.
-
dude same but i was using MYC and got a 4k because the gen was above the basement and they were not waking up so whenever they saved someone i would get the MYC, go outside the 32 meter range and patrol the gens than tp back once someone got saved.
