  • so you can't stomp lower skilled players... 1 super skilled survivor can destroy a killer and vise versa.

  • yea the change feels bs on console, most of the time im only getting 45* flicks instead of 90* however its better than barely being able to move post change.

  • ruins fine how it is, if you can't hit the skill check that's on you. If anything they need to fix totem placements so it doesn't get destroyed in the first minute of a match.

  • NO, this will encourage lobby dodging and also you can see what items people bring in already with a little exception to keys since they are kinda hard to see.

  • 50, i expect to be able to complete it if i do all the challenges

  • dude this perk isn't as bad when compared to the nurses rework or OP keys, hell i lose more to keys than to someone using ds.

  • yea i find myself using kindred over any other perk. one perk i liked using was better together since it showed survivor aura's when someone got downed so i knew if i should go for the save but kindred is just WAY better. IF they gave better together the aura reading effect when you were on a gen and a survivor was downed/hooked it would be worth using. as for aftercare I agree survivors always being able to see you after you heal them or they save you would be a nice buff and could be used as a perk to get yourself healed easier.

  • your not considering the fact that that data also counted DC, mori's, all ranks, and wither or not it was a swf. True and ozt play this game for a living and are very skilled, more so than the majority of the killer player base and it shows. What do you think happens when a extremely skilled killer goes up against only averaged red rank players? They get destroyed because the killer isn't making mistakes, however put them against 4 extremely skilled survivors and the tables turn and the killer is only getting 1 and if luck 2 kills.

  • the addon isn't that bad honestly, you get 40% of your power from hitting healthy survivors and it has a passive recharge so you still going to be able to use your power. The only difference is that you wont find large amounts of blood from survivors healing instead you will see them heal and for a few seconds where they go after healing.

Playing Legion at red ranks is not fun in the slightest. It's a 50/50 as to whether or not I get a stomp because the survivors are potatoes for some reason or the survivors know how to hold down M1 and run in a circle and it's almost impossible to win.

Well that's legion for you he has nothing to actually down survivors with just injure and thats why he is weak. at least plagues power helps find people easily and when used with her classic slowdown build you can get survivors to cleanse themselves for that sweat damaging puke.

I don't know if I'm encountering smurfs, or just people that have a ton of hours and haven't played recently, but even in the 8-12 ranks, you get survivors that know what they're doing. Basically survivors are getting better and killers keep getting nerfed.

I tried Nurse for the first time, she's utterly impossible for a new player. Too slow, blinks take too long to charge, blinks don't go far enough, and you can't see where the survivor goes in fatigue. Basically, find survivor, sprint burst, blink, blink, swing and miss....fatigue.....survivor puts 20m on you, blink, blink, swing and miss.....fatigue....survivor puts another 20m. Didn't get a single down without the help of NOED.

I might just have too many hours, I have played on a different account every now and then thats sitting between ranks 10-15 as killer and im not having any problems getting 4k's. When you're a good killer all the survivors need to be good or they will have a hard time trying to survive.

Edit: I rarely don't play in red ranks on my main account so I consider red and purple ranks to be where skilled survivors are and its usually true when i come across a swf group who has a R12 that i didn't have a hard time catching.

  • @Galklife said:

where to start @ThisGuuy83 killers already have too high kill ratio (devs wants kill ratio be around 50%) and instead of nerfing killers overall they are nerfing those that are overperforming(nurse, spirit, freddy) btw thing with oni it was BUGFIX it wasnt intended, about legion i still like them better now than before (i like to be much faster)

and your "fair ballance" is pretty entitled, because instead of asking for buffs you asked for "fair ballance" which freddy just got and i can guarantee you if killers wouldnt abuse slowdown stacking those add ons wouldnt ever be nerfed

devs said those stats are not reliable and it's pretty easy to know why when survivors DC constantly and the fact that playing killer is easy until you get to the higher ranks where survivors actually know what they are doing. Also the nurse nerf was way too much, she is now undesirable to newcomers who might have given nurse a try and even players who got used to her because she is just to punishing to play for even missing a single blink. Spirits nerf didn't really change how good spirit players play her since they didn't need collision to get hits at all and the addon changes don't affect how good her base kit is. As for Freddy those addons changes won't change how strong he is and survivors will still complain about him.

Of course, we'll keep fixing bugs, toning back things that are too powerful and buffing things that are too weak. The Doctor is going to get some much needed love pretty soon.

I hope keys are also on your list, being able to instantly and safely escape with usually 1 or 2 other survivors is currently the most unbalanced thing imo.

  • Since i play on console souly this is a great buff for us however it would have been nicer if they also gave us some more sensitivity.

  • @MrsGhostface said:

As a killer main who plays a bit of survivor, I definitely see both sides. I think a fair adjustment for ebony mainly would be the requirement to hook each survivor at least once before being able to use it. I think keys are fine, especially since insta heals are gone. Easiest counter is franklins, and there are a few others :)

Franklins is the only counter to keys the other is simply downing the key user before they get to the hatch which can't be called a counter. as for mori's i think if they were actually secret and if they had a timer where after a few minutes in the trial you can mori survivors you have hooked they would be balanced

edit: also just because you lost your other OP items doesn't justicfy any other items for remaining OP.

  • Keys should get reworked first they are findable during the trial and multiple keys can be brought into a trial with addons to give arua reading effects or to keep that key. Mori's on the other hand require you to find a survivor twice to kill them and its obvious when one is being used.

Between the two keys are WAY more common to come across and once the hatch is found any survivors left in the trial have a easy way to escape, with an swf group escape is basically given. The amount of times I've seen a key used so two or more survivors can escape a losing game compared to the times I've been mori'd since EGC came out is vastly different and i play both roles pretty equally in red ranks. There's also the fact that mori's give you less blood points than if you just hooked everyone while keys reward you with blood points for a hatch escape and surviving for a total of 8k bp.

edit: Not saying mori's are balanced but they are a lot less common and less op compared to keys. Also the solution to keys is pretty easy just give them an animation/interaction that takes X seconds on opening the hatch with a sound so the killer can stop it from being opened if hes nearby.

  • and ever since EGC became a thing survivors say the game is killer sided, literally NOTHING changed besides how the last person can escape and the fact that you can't stay in the game after the gates are open. The main issues that make the core of this game survivor sided are still in this game.

remember the depip squad? The same thing can happen with the only changes being that there are a few new killers and perks around and a few game play changes like vault speed with the obvious main one being EGC. survivors can still hammer gens with the sole focus to escape and escape in 5 minutes if they are all competent and don't get downed in 40 seconds, hell it usually takes way longer to get those skilled ones downed.

as for going against a 100 swf groups and getting destroyed that is obviously exaggerated I at most have had probably 30 in my 1500-2000 or so games where i have been destroyed. However That is mainly because finding a swf that is serious and not fooling around with all members being top notch is rare.

  • don't go for unsafe vaults? don't loop a loop the wrong way? seriously they are not that much of an issue as long as your not trying to vault the window at a weird angle. Also they should exist, not approaching a vault from a proper angle and expecting a fast vault not only looks weird and out of place it was also very unbalance and frankly skilless.

  • do you have plans for no mither and lucky break to not leave blood orbs for the Oni?

If I find and down player 2 as player 3 saves player 1, then after hooking player 2 go wander back towards the hook player 1 was unhooked from since I know there’s 2 people over there, it’s not my fault if I find player 1 and not player 3. I wasn’t waiting for them to get unhooked, I was actively working on player 2, and just happened to find the one unhooked instead of the unhooker. Can’t tunnel if you’re literally spreading your hooks across multiple people, but DS doesn’t make that distinction.

Than slug the person who got unhooked, IF their is an obsession than assume everyone has DS and if you already did all that than you will only have to slug the guy for about 20 or more seconds before you hook em.

  • but DS is timed based, why should you not get punished for tunneling someone with an anti tunnel perk just because you have a stunt reduction one. Was enduring balanced for reducing the DS stun post nerf yes since DS was not restricted by time. However if it worked now with current DS it would turn one of the few anti tunneling perks survivors got into a near useless tool against tunnelers using this perk.

btw i used to HATE DS but now it rarely affects me because im not a jerk who tunnels the unhooked unlike some killers. The perk punishes these people and it does so fairly because all you need to do is not tunnel. The only thing unfair about this perk is when its used in EGC but if your at that point than you have basically already lost.

  • @Helevetin_nopee said:

You guys are honestly still complaining... Nurse IS the best killer still, no other way around it. The cooldown isnt even that long, you just need to be more precise and careful with your blinks.

dude did you even read this thread? because someone did a test where you could literally run in a straight line and waste her time and thats not even considering los obstacles or exhaustion perks.

Doesn't change the fact that 1) they are not legacy items, they are event items just like Blight, and 2) the store exists now.

Devs said legacy will never be available again. If they go back on this promise I support those that oppose it. They never said the same thing about old event cosmetics. In fact we were told we are getting them and they went back on that promise, so in a sense they are more obliged to provide them to us than deny them.

they are just like legacy cosmetics

    • both required grinding even if it required more grinding for legacy
    • both were time limited and have been around longer than the store
    • both have never been available to be purchased

Also the devs never promised anything and AGAIN comparing the blight events to the ones before the store is laughable. The blight events gave out multiple cosmetics for a lot less grinding and you could buy them right away where as the post store events only gave one cosmetic for the same or more grinding. Having these blight skins doesn't feel special because they are easy to get and you can buy them, its just nice that you could get a few for free if you grinded but again they don't feel special compared to the other event cosmetics.

edit: if you want facts than here's one. this post/thread wont change anything but ill still argue why your opinion is wrong. this is the internet after all.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

There is ZERO reason they can't put the items in the store for auric cells. NONE. All other event cosmetics are in the store to be purchased with money.

actually there is one, the store was not out when they had the events so the only way to get them was to earn them and its been like that since the events. also they are just like legacy in the way they were earned and guess what legacy will never be available to buy or earn again.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891922#Comment_891922

It was complaining. You're not pointing out anything to them they wouldn't have already have known. This isn't a bug report where they had no idea. They knew. Therefore the only reason they would have gone back on their word is because people made it a problem.

Because they understood how those people felt and they had good points as to why those cosmetics should not be given out when those players earned them. Even if it was complaining they listened which tells us that they agreed and when you think about how much this community complains and gets swept aside than complaining might as well be considered pointing out.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891902#Comment_891902

It was unplayable but if it were it would have been easy. The fact I had technical issues doesn't change the difficulty of earning said cosmetics. You could get them in less than 50 games. That's pretty easy to do.

"the devs didn't consider this point until it was pointed out to them"

No they didn't consider it until people complained. There is a difference.

IF and IF you mean complaining as in pointing out than my argument still stands

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891885#Comment_891885

No they went back on their word because people made a big stink about it. Had that not happened they wouldn't have tried to find a work around.

And it is a good comparison because you did literally nothing special to "earn" them. You just played the game as you normally would have.

dude you literally said that the game was unplayable during an event and again its not a good comparison because of how much time you needed to put into the game, if you were a average player getting most of these cosmetics was impossible. Lastly go read what they said about taking them out of the list of free cosmetics because one of the points was that they are not code exclusive and were earned just like legacy and the devs didn't consider this point until it was pointed out to them.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891843#Comment_891843

Yet even though I had this problem, I have no issue with them giving away the cosmetics I did earn. So tell me again how that's selfish. If Blight cosmetics weren't paid and ONLY earned through events I'd be fine with that too, despite earning a large chunk of them myself.

Fact remains, devs said they would give it out and then went back on that promise because some people demand that others don't get access to stuff they "earned", which a a generous term to say the least. You earned them about as much as grandma earned her Bingo.

The main reason the devs are giving out those cosmetics is because they were being sold and abused. they included all exclusives because they all are like this but overlooked the event cosmetics which are not like that and that's why they went back on their word. I already explained why your being selfish so lets skip that and btw bingo is luck based and doesn't take multiple hours to complete so poor comparison.

edit: my main point is the event cosmetics are not the same in any way other when compared to the other exclusives other than the fact that they are cosmetics. if your parents told you you could have GTA 5 and your 10 but than realized how violent it was and broke their word would you say they are being unfair or unreasonable.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891315#Comment_891315

There's nothing special about these cosmetics.

Devs said they were going to give them out. Bunch of selfish people made a huge fuss, so the devs found a way around it. You got to have it exclusively for over a year, that's plenty to compensate your for the time you put into getting them (which again was nothing).

Meanwhile people that earned them and lost them get screwed out of them. People like me that literally could not earn them because the game was broken get screwed out of them. And people who just happened to not have been playing DBD during that time get screw out of them. Bravo.

Devs need to add them to the store for purchase or give us another event for a chance to earn them. Blight events are a perfect example of how these cosmetics should be handled. You can earn them during the event. If you miss out, you can wait until the next event or pay for them. No one has a problem with this at all, but suddenly do it with previous event cosmetics and people have a conniption.

the devs put the event cosmetics in the list of paid/code cosmetics since they were including all exclusives and when the community called them out on it the devs understood since these cosmetics are different in which that they were earned and can't be abused like the others on the list since they are not code related. they are special because they are part of the few cosmetics in these game that were earned and can't be bought in any way just like legacy and having one shows that you put up with the BS of this game to get them. You even said it yourself the game was unplayable and crashed constantly. You think your the only one who had this problem? tons of people put up with it and still got the cosmetic despite it taking way longer than it should have. If anyone here is selfish it's you dude for being inconsiderate and greedy because you want something you never earned even if it screws over the people's feelings that did earn it.

    That's so petty.

Is that really the hill you wanna die on?

dude what do you think the point of cosmetics is? its to show off of course now if there is a limited timed cosmetic that could only be unlocked for hours of grinding what do you think people will want to do when they unlock it? again its an obvious answer, to show it off. what happens when that cosmetic becomes available to buy for the same amount as other non-event cosmetics that cost the same. Another simple answer it losses what made it special and all the players who earned it feel screwed over. Im assuming your also one of those players that think everyone should also have legacy skins because this is the exact same case.

  • @BDS22 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891723#Comment_891723

You do realize with this Halloween event people are putting in hours to grind for items while others just buy them in store. So your defense about not putting them in the store now kinda makes no sense.

the hallowed blight is a joke of an event and came after the other ones. the devs gave us multiple Halloween skins and you could unlock 6 pieces for both blights. comparing the blight events to the others is a joke when you could buy them right of the bat or play and earn 6 pieces when with the other events you did hours of grinding for just 1 which was not available to buy.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891698#Comment_891698

Did you not get them for free? Why would your feelings change just because someone bought it? Did you not earn it?

Unless you want other people to know you earned it...then you just wanna show off

that's the point... to show off something you earned instead of just bought. to show that you put the hours into a timed grind instead of a minute in the in game shop.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/890291#Comment_890291

"being able to pay for them removes the feeling that players earned them."

    How so?

because anyone could can get them through money which makes them the same as cosmetics that you can only buy with cells and that would make them no longer special.

  • maybe you would like to try to grind for hours for them because they were a pain to get. All the other cosmetics were locked behind a pay wall for PC while with these cosmetics anyone could have gotten them if you did the horrible grind for them. I consider these cosmetics comparable to legacy in which through playing the game you earned them when they were available to get and if you missed out that's on you.

So it's okay to abuse a broken mechanic if it happens to be convenient but it's not okay if you go.out of your way to do it? So is it okay to steal a bunch of money because it happens to be easy at your current job but it's not okay to rob a bank?

When your not helping your team and just trying to be that guy that loops the killer all game than YES i consider that toxic, its like you didn't even try to understand what i typed. Also poor comparison on the first part, it is more like finding a wallet with no ID since you would happen to come across that loop because you were nearby.

You don't understand at all. I want to remove the Sprint Burst gained by Balanced Landing and just have the passive effect. And Dead Hard doesn't need a buff. It's literally a free health state if you use it right. It's effect when not active is to make you feel a little safer knowing you have an ace up your sleeve. I don't know why people even talk about it that much. They praise it like it's God.

because like you said its a free health state that can get you to a pallet or vault without worry. how can that not be good, sure in the open all it might do is give you an extra second but at and near loops it often extends the chase by another 20-30 seconds

he can get multi downs I watched him slap a David and a jake at the same time thank god I moved out the way lool

ok thank you for clearing that up and thank the entity that he can still do it

  • based on what you just said than lithe, sprint burst, and dead hard need a buff because they also give nothing when the perk is not in effect.

  • lol meanwhile i have 4k with him 4 times in a row in R1 on console. all i can say is GET GOOD because comparing him to trapper, legion, and clown he is definitely better.

  • From what i can tell they probably are not going to increase his base shock range which is the MAIN thing he needs to actually stop vaults and pallets. without shock range addons you can't put survivors into madness without sacrificing a hit most of the time and because of this even the brown range addon is good because its the perfect distance for what a base shock range for doc should be. Unless this shock blast is amazing and puts people into madness easily and doesn't have a long cooldown like 30s-40s this change won't make his power help in a chase which is what he needs. also they are getting rid of his exhaustion addon effects...

  • Agreed, it was VERY nice to know if i was with skilled players and not a R1 with 2 other R18 survivors. there is no reason that this should have been "fixed"

  • Im ok with farming as a killer but only when a swf messages me or invites me to a party and wants to farm before the match begins. However right now its kinda annoying to play killer because im getting more and more players who want to start farming in the middle of the game when they happen to be losing and i even get hate messages because i didn't farm when they wanted to. I swear man at least 30% of survivors feel so entitled to me.

  • can someone link me to all his changes or did you have to figure them out yourself because i can't find them. also not being able to get multi-downs anymore and he has a decreased duration sucks, they should have at least kept the multi-down aspect. I played him earlier and he is pretty fun and still kinda strong imo but i never came across a chance to get a multi-down so again they shouldn't have gotten rid of it.

But isn't hanging out where the best loops are playing your best by your logic?

I literally said there was a difference between looping at those best loops because you're nearby and trying to get the killer to chase you across the map to those loops to waste time. If all your're doing is the second part than i consider that toxic because you're not really helping your team but just trying to be that guy who wants to be chased for 3+ gens.

  • I don't consider trying your best to be toxic, if a survivor is looping at the best loops isn't that what you're supposed to do to avoid being killed. However there is a difference when that person t bags and FL clicks at every pallet or purposely stays on one side of the map where the strongest loops are and trys to get the killer to follow them there to waste time.

  • I only get bad connection sometimes and frame drops as the killer not to the point where frames are a problem tho. I play on Xbox btw maybe ps4 is just worse when it comes to dbd for some reason.

  • she feels awful to play and this is coming from someone who was decent at her post changes and has played her after her changes at least once a day. In her current condition she is unplayable to the AVERAGE nurse player which is just ridiculous. No killer should have to be played perfectly just to do DECENT in a game. She is just to punishing to play which will only make her more rarely seen in any rank and undesirable to main or use to newer players or even the older players.

1 … 42 43 44 45 46 … 55
