Hey if that what makes you happy, creating an unfun situation to react into an unfun situation that the killer made, have fun.
I'm not into using this plaster like fixes to make the most unfun tactic in the game stay unfun but more productive for the other side.

That's nowhere near the same thing as what I'm talking about. Nurse and Blight are still the only tourney viable killers, Leatherface cheeses kills but only by camping, and that's all normal. But now we have Legion and Plague, 2 very loopable killers, who can almost compete because they slow the game down with Thana, which any killer can do but it's just easier for them. I don't see the problem with 2 or 3 more killers becoming viable. Now you don't have to complain about Nurse and Blight all the time. Isn't this what we wanted?
I don't think you get the idea, they became "viable" by slowing the game in a boring way and winning matches by exhausting you to dead with long matches and dirty playstyles, not by being viable in chase like blight.
-
@Aurelle said:
Well, this is what the killers wanted. Easy 4k's and no ways for survivors to help themselves (AKA the perk nerfs). Survivors are leaving or switching to killer, nobody wants to play a role where there's no chance of winning.
Yep, I have around 5-6 friends who stopped playing survior or this game, I log into discord and i see all of them play other stuff.
-
Because it's a killer meant for people with no skill who want to get an easy win by stacking boring and annoying perks until you die out of boredom.

You can check my post history and you will notice Im very against most of the changes on this patch because they essentially killed Solo which in turn killed Killer queues by doubling or tripling them (what a surprise...).
I was just answering your question, why would a bad player who relied on camping and tunneling to get kills stop doing it now when its even stronger? people are not going to self-police themselves, theyll always go for the easiest, less skill intensive option given the choice.
In that case you went for logic, yeah I know the logic, but they don't play for money here and they bring slowdown perks as well, why doing that? where's the fun in that?
-
@Phantom_ said:
I see the same trend. You'd think playing killer being so easy a 12yo could do it and get a 4k would make this less of an issue. But it has only made it worse. It's as if killers were the side that got a major nerf and had their perks turned into useless ones 😂
they no that ds is trash now thus:
- less people would run it, much less chances to eat it.
- even if they'll eat it, it's a 3 second stun, lucky if the survivor can do something good with it
- gens are so slow now with their stacked slowdown build that tunneling is ensuring a win.
-
@HectorBrando said:
Why not? Its still a very strong tactic and one of the easiest to do.
okay, then enjoy more survivors leaving and have fun waiting 10 minutes for a game

Shrug. You and other people have the tools to counter this strategy, but it'll cost you a perk slot. Much as killers need to dedicate a perk slot to countering boons.
Sure, so lemme just start every solo queue lobby by telling the randoms to equip OTR since we can't know which one of us will get tunneled first. It's better me to skip this game for good unless I wanna play killer or with my friends, I just came here to rant since 4 games of seeing the same thing over and over was enough for me to get actually irritated.
-
Me and my solo queue team got tunneled off hook until someone is dead on 5 gens 4 straight games in a row before, and then I called it quits, but the pure killer mains here don't believe me when I post it kekw. have fun in your 20 minute queues killers.

I'd take a break for the game if its not fun for you. I had this exact experience after patch just released n it was miserable. Games have been getting better these last few days though. Like first few days after patch it was hard tunneling through otr and bt, then a face camp. Now, its leveled out into some more chill killers. Honestly think my MMR was inflated pre-patch and I hada get put back to where I belong by just playing the games through.
Best of luck on your next games o7
Thanks but I'll just wait for my swf buddies to call me if I'd like to play survivor, I won't play this garbage called solo queue, there are more games to play in this world that can help me chill after work.

@YOURFRIEND said:
Every game? Come on. You either have a very loose interpretation of "tunnelling" or you're being hysterical and hyperbolic over something that happened only a couple of times.
Yeah, come and teach me you god player who knows more than me what tunneling is. so let me explain you master of dbd, the killer gets a hook, someone gets the unhook, the killer waits a few seconds and downs the survivor then repeats it again, 4 straight games against 3 different killers, literally ignoring the unhooker who tries to take a hit.
But hey, I only have 3700 hours on this weird game, I bet you know better than me what 5 gen tunneling is.
-
@HugTheHag said:
Also, OTR is a DLC perk, which means most casual players don't have it, and understandably don't want to pay 6$ and grind god knows how many hours just to get that one perk on their builds.
It's such a boring perk too, just "tank a hit" perk, but all the killer mains here want me to use it cause they know ds is bs now.

Things will settle down. Honestly, unless it's a Legion, Thana is still meh (I predict the meta settling around PR, DMS and FOR).
You are playing solo queue, so you'll get people who aren't very good sometimes (as well as people who will carry you hard). The baseline BT means that a savvy survivor can actually do quite a lot to stop themselves from being tunneled, and OTR makes it easy.
If I'm forced to run OTR I rather not play survivor, and even if i'll run it, I play solo queue, I was tunneled once and my teammates the other 3 times, they didn't bring OTR so it wouldn't change the outcome.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
If you are going to tunnel, it needs to be at 5 gens, otherwise it is too late (against good survivors). The real issue is there is no way of telling if survivors are good before damage is done. If they tunnel someone out, and keep tunneling after the first one was removed from the game and there are still 4 or 5 gens... They are a bit rude, not going to lie. But the real issue is that matchmaking is wack.
I personally ease up if I notice the lobby was not a gen rushing Navy Seal squad. However, I could also see if the killer just wants to go next a$ap.
Yeah it needs to be on 5 gens if u play competitive dbd. guess what, I wanna chill after work not see my solo queue team giving up cause another 5 gen tunneler with thana and deadlock is getting adrenaline rush by the free down. I thought i can use fun perks after this patch but if i'm forced to run OTR and DS I'd rather just play killer or not play at all, it's my bad that I was optimistic after the third game vs nurse, should've known.

Shrug.
I saw tunnelers and campers before the patch.
I'm seeing less campers, but about the same number of tunnelers.
OTR sort of stops it dead, so run that if you find yourself getting focused out constantly.
Okay, but then I need to trust my solo queue team mates to bring it too, which they don't. I'm really done it's not fun, I was optimistic after the third straight tunnel game vs nurse, but then the fourth game against nemesis really made me get irritated. I'm done until this new thana + insta tunnel meta gets a bit more chilled.

Very doubtful. I'm top 30 on the leaderboard with blight. I'm fully aware of what he can do, and how he should be performing.
I'm a good blight but not a master blight, a top 30 player like you should be able to win almost every match like LilithOmen. I'm sure that if I was a master blight I wouldn't have any trouble in high mmr before the patch.

If you were losing that much as blight with slowdowns against pubs. That's pretty telling of your skill with blight lol
If you see the caliber of survivors I play against, maybe you'd rethink that statment.

This just shows how BS them second chance perks were. DH alone made chases hell.
The other exhuastion perks can still be strong in the hands of good survivors, as a blight tho, they don't much since I'm on them again after 2 rushes. but yeah you can clearly feel how survivors aren't that good without DH(even tho I countered a few who knew how to still use the new one very well against me)

Well, it might bother you in particular because you actually want to play a game and have fun working for your wins, competing agaisnt other players.
There's many others, however, that want to watch a cutscene and roleplay as if they were actually good and menacing.
Those are happy with this update.
From one side I am happy since I can FINALLY use other perks that are actually FUN instead of the lame gen regression perks I was forced to use just to stay competitive.
From the other side I think to myself what would happen If I'll just want to win at all costs and stack: Thana, eruption, overcharge etc, how miserable can this game become for the survivors now.

Idk what you expect the kill rates were 2 (50%) they were perfectly balanced but devs for some reason increased them and that’s what’s happened so ye killer is easy now most of us r getting 3k-4ks every round unless ur exceptionally bad even with the countless buffs
I'm just saying that it feels bizzare, I guess that the massive nerf to DH adding to all the small changes make a very big change to the gameplay. Also as blight at least, all the other exhuastion perks are good for me, I counter them easily but old DH was something else.

Ah really? maybe I should record my games so you can see, you don't even know me so you shouldn't act like you know against who or in which ranks I play or played.
-
@Brhoom said:
What I don't get is that the update caused killers to stack gen regression perks when the update already increased gen repair time.
The idea for the update was to make killers try other perks, tunnel, and camp less. since chases now last way less, and gens take longer to repair but somehow, killers are doing the exact opposite.
Why? What is the excuse now?
Devs said they wanted to make these ''strats'' less viable rather than try to punish them for doing them, but so far it seems that no matter how long gens take and no matter how short the chases are, killers will always resort to these tactics.
Punishing tunneling and camping is the only way to go forward, and hopefully devs will come to the realization as well.
That's exactly why I switched to this build from the old anti gen boring builds, to try and have fun. but I know that If i'll want to win easily I'll just stack the new slowdown meta perks and I'll probably be unstopoable.
-
@Murgleïs said:
That’s actually a very good Blight build.
It is but it's not the most effective one if you really want to win games, I know that If i'll stack 2 slow down perks I'll probably win every game without trying. It is a fun build tho and I really missed having fun in dbd without feeling forced to bring the boring ruin/undying/scourge hook/dms etc.

Welp comp is a terrible example though,,comp teams rotate, take hits,do gens efficiently,,your typical pubs will be one person in chase and pray people do gens while poor soul is looping for their life,,but what you said is true,,some maps are terrible,,it's no wonder only a select few maps are considered for comp dbd
Idk what about you, but sometimes the survivor not dropping the pallet cause of DH gave me the down, he did a mistake that DH couldn't fix. but, if he pre dropped that pallet a bit earliet he would've been totally safe. Solo queue is a horrible example for everything in the game, what I'm talking about more is high to top MMR when even solo queue players are very good at the game.
-
I used to tunnel off hook if i lost my ruin too early.
-
Because we're mashocists enough to play the killer role, do you want to go even more extreme and play this slow poor killer he have become?
-
It's easy if you're commited to put the work for it.
You press "Unready" when you're queued as Hag, then you press the button that bring into the killers list and choose Nurse. You invest around 500-1000 hours on this killer and you have no worries anymore. Have fun in DBD!

@JPA said:
This is what the game was like before MMR though. You either stomp a poorly co-ordinated Solo team, or get your ######### pushed in by a SWF.
All MMR does is make it a bit more predictable.
So what's the point in having the system?
-
Wait until you reach the 4 man swf medkit console warriors who will finish the game in 3 minutes while having styptic agents in their midkits and all can loop.
-
@Leatherface1990 said:
Quite the opposite. When a Survivor kills themself I have an issue. I have no issue with Killers trying to win. Then it's fun.
Yeah? It's fun for you to not be involved in any chases since all you do is trying to rescue a camped survivor for the whole game?

@Predated said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/291726/should-blight-techs-be-removed
The Hug tech is one of the few that I personally want gone. You, as a survivor, spend a long time creating a scenario where you finally might get an upperhand in a loop(just because you cant hit a survivor, doesnt mean they have the upperhand), having a narrow corner with a wall that makes it very hard for Blight to hit you without bouncing at least twice, giving you some room to calculate when you'd need to move etc, and then he just ignores 90% of the mechanics that Blight has.
As for high DPI flicks, yeah, those are an issue since you would hit things that would normally be physically impossible.
I personally set 2 rules to consider a tech to be "fair":
- if it down right ignores counterplay mechanics, it's not fair to the opponent
- if it cannot be repeated on a console, it's not fair to the opponent.
So if Blight is intended to have a 120 degree range of hitting post-rush, and he can hit you outside that angle, how are you ever going to calculate that?
If Blight is intended to have 2 bounces to turn tight corners, and a blight simply rushes around it as if they were Spirit, how are you ever going to calculate that?
There is a thing between a killer being strong, and a killer not really having counterplay in scenario's.
Essentially, learning those techs as a survivor doesnt really matter, because there isnt really a way you as a survivor can get a reward out of it, as it cannot really be countered.
Thats like having a hook tech, where a survivor uses a flashlight click at a very specific angle under high DPI to rescue a survivor in the basement and teleport to the floor above. "It would be hard to learn, fun, rewarding and STRONG.", but it is very easy to see why killers would have an issue with that tech.
You can actually counter hug tech if u know it's coming. I did it many times.

It is with blight tbh. with others I agree.

All killers are pathetic. Only nurse (when mastered) and Spirit are efficient enough to have fair games.
Blight is way too hard to handle for the common player playing him. Honestly the turn rate is way too low for him to be good enough. Not mentioning the tons of bump bugs where you slide instead of bumping.
Only good Blight around is Lilith and he has thousands of hours with him... if you need to put 3000 hours into a single killer to be efficient, what is the point ?
Lillith has 1k hours on blight.
-
To download VHS.
-
I agree. then killers with NOED will shoot themselves in the leg.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
IMO the first thing which should be looked at - is it possible to do on all Platforms? If not, it should be considered an exploit and fixed. Like, anything which messes with DPI should not be in the game because it is unavailable for console players. And this already shows that it is not intended.
For the rest, I dont really know what those techs mean, I probably know what the Blight player is doing in those scenarios, but I dont know which name describes which tech. But I feel if all of those would be removed, Blight would still be an S-Tier Killer, since he still has that insane mobility and can do some stuff at Loops.
Bringing up Nurse is a weak argument IMO, just because a design failure exists and will never be fixed, does not mean that other things should stay in the game.
Blight won't be S tier without all these techs.
His lunge and turning will be so restricted that survivors that are good with fast reflaxes would easily couner him.
-
@R2k said:
So u want to stomp noobs instead of playing against players of your level? Wow, I'm not impressed.
No. I want to have variety.
Fine, this game isn't balanced so u can't beat a strong SWF. but at least I can chill before I go to the next sweaty game that i can't win without being a good nurse or blight or without tunneling.
It's not about stomping, It's about having variety of games that can go in different ways. now every game's pace is the same as the one before that you actually ask yourself - why do i need to hook all of the survivors one by one? It's dumb.
-

Blight is totally broken.
Half the time he will slide against an object instead of bouncing even though you look straight at the object.
And yes, Blight cannot do 90 degrees turns properly anymore.
Blight is unplayable at high MMR, you won't be able to win any trial.
And community saying he is a tier S killer... of course lol
Against good survivors he is just a garbage tier F M1 killer. No wonder you will never face a Blight at high MMR. It has been weeks i haven't seen a single Blight.
Lillith is playing on 6k dpi and doing wonders.

blight is not so far from nurse if you know all his "techs"
No.
He is very far. you know why?
All of his techs are counterable. if you suspect a blight is gonna tech a loop you just hold W or keep running to a direction of the loop he won't be able to reach.
You can pre drop pallets against blight and all of blight mains hate that since doing a tech around a dropped pallet is too hard.
Nurse is just straight forward broken. you can't do much against her cause you have nothing to defend yourself other than tricky movement that good nurses can easily read you're going to do.

Yes, i want all killers to be at same power level. Clown's power Compared to Blight is just laughable. There should never be a killer such powerful as blight or nurse. Fix them and then you can buff killers overall
You can tell let's buff all killers but it's much easier to nerf 2 than buff 23
You're right but that's not gonna happen. also blight isn't that strong he still has to deal with pallets.
Nurse is the truly game breaking killer of this game.

@landromat said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2606385#Comment_2606385
Exploit is an exploit. There is no way all these "techs" were intended by devs. Players are just using killer power design overlook for own advantage and this should be fixed
Blight supposed to be run straight line hard to turn guy, not reverse rush into Quentin in the corner
If you take away these stuff from him then he's not going to be that strong of a killer anymore. good survivors will counter him easily.
That's what you truly want?
In a survivor sided game having more killers nerfed? you want everyone to just play the boring "haha who cares about pallets and game design?" Nurse?
-

See? I haven't mention any of exploits and there is blight main who defends them already.
Devs please fix blight and all his "isn't an exploit" techs
I'm not a bight main but cmon when you say exploits what can you refer to other than these techs? LOL.
Also if the survivor knows that the killer is going to hug tech it can easily be counterable.
-
@landromat said:
Blight has so many design issues/exploits player needs a lot of time to learn them all. Still exploits tho. Devs fix blight
Hug tech isn't an exploit. flicking with high dpi isn't an exploit.
-
You're right but hillbily isn't worth the grind for that ceiling. It's having a high skill ceiling for nothing.
Blight is now the hardest killer to master in the game cause you have to control many techs and aspects of his gameplay, understand every object with bump logic/collision. understand how to use his red light to mindgame a rush in a hugtechable or flickable object but after you've learnt it you can actually be rewarded for it.

So let me get this straight.
Getting hit trough a pallet as survivor is hella annoying. And being exhausted on the ground with dead hard is infuriating, but to solve these problems we just shift the frustration to the killer players AND keep it in so that killers get the hit, scream, blood AND, to top it of, lets make them go trough the hit animation slowdown so that they can feel robbed of a hit/down.
HOW is this ANY better than before!? You are INTENTIONALLY implementing bugs into the game, seriously, What the actual ¤¤¤¤!
Who cares bruh?
Can you buy the amount of cosmetics that would compete with 4 survivors who buy cosmetics?

Doesn't matter.
Against certain killers you have to use it to dodge a hit, like blight or nurse, or if the killer surprised you.
It sucks to see exhaustion on the ground which makes you ask yourself why you've wasted a perk slot for a perk that didn't work even if you timed it perfectly.

Exactly. so what's the point of spamming this forum with the same theards?
