Losing isn't fun. That's why I don't do it.
-
No gen grabs on the dedicated servers anymore, or at least they are like 5x harder now. Not even worth attempting anymore imo, I just take the m1.
Stealth killers can just walk up to the gens facing backwards, pretty easy to tell people are running spine chill when the gens you visit are mysteriously empty even though you snuck up on it.
And heartbeat killers have a heartbeat so spine chill basically does nothing against them anyways.
-
If there's like 3-4 gens left I just let my team die lol
-
People who think they are weak don't know how to use them well enough.
-
A deliverance might be worth it, since they can be the designated last man on hook endgame when you run into the facecampers. An object user is probably also worth it, since they can abuse it and give away the killers location to everyone.
Dead hard as the end-all exhaustion perk is a silly assessment. With a map offering to guarantee a good area, a balanced landing will extended a chase much more than a dead hard ever will.
Items wise I am way more scared of socket swivel commodious toolboxes than a self instaheal. Styptics are not nearly as annoying as the syringe, and it's significantly more disruptive to have someone full heal a person I just downed instead of just insta-ing themselves. I would have at least 1 and the key, but consider toolboxes as well.
-
You could....go over there and kill them?
It probably needs to be 30 seconds, 15 seconds you basically only get use out of it if they head-on you and even then if there is a pallet nearby maybe not.
-
Doubt it. Don't go into the basement vs trapper next time.

I hate it when survivors call NOED a crutch perk, then turn around and defend a crutch perk like Decisive Strike. Even the worst player in the world can get mileage out of Decisive Strike, so long as they hit the skill check.
Well it supposed to stop tunneling, which it does.
I don't think it's supposed to be: "Hey it's lategame and I have DS, let me facetank a hit to BT unhook someone in the killers face, then get hooked, deliverance myself off, and laugh my way to the exit gate" which is currently how I use it now. Total crutch perk for sure, but it's a ton of fun to use.

Malarchy. How are you supposed to pip if you are camping and relying on NOED??? I'm talking about rank 1....red rank survivors that know how to abuse every god loop! You aren't hooking most of them 3 times each, which is REQUIRED to pip at red rank. So you didn't learn nurse, got intimidated by the time needed to learn her and gloating at the loss of those that did. I got it.
First off, you are making a big mistake in thinking rank = skill. Or that rank matters at all, or especially that red ranks mean the players are skilled. I'd say red ranks just means you are competent at the game. And before you accuse me of not "being skilled" I have already posted a screenshot of me being at rank 1 as killer on this forum. And I play there as survivor as well.
I am just saying what is the bare minimum you need to do to get a "draw" aka 2 kills, against red rank survivors. And that's 1 kill and NOED down 1 more, super easy and can be done with literally any killer. That's the criteria to stay at red ranks, and any killer can do it. Meet that or exceed it almost every game? Rank 1 here you come. I can and do 4k regularly with m1 killers at rank 1. You think I wouldn't ruin some face if I put the crutches on and played nurse? Lol.
If you can't stay at red ranks without having to play like ruin / pop / omegablink nurse I have no sympathy for you.

So being good with nurse and spirit = I am a bad killer? Interesting...
Not saying that, I am just saying that they are crutch characters. Nothing wrong with using crutches, as long as you can actually get to the same rank without them.
-
DS at its worst is a free life, and at its best single-handedly wins games. It lasts an entire minute in a game that can be over in 4-5; and can turn you borderline invincible if played well lategame.
Yeah, that's really all you need to know. Not sure why people are still arguing that it is not overpowered.
-
Pretty much all of them, honestly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSuSZuOC3pgI agree with this for the most part.

It's OK, apparently the devs share in your survivor-main mentality and believe survivors should be the power role. The nurse was the only character where skill and practice rewarded you for playing against good survivors, where you actually stood the slightest chance at winning, some times down to 1 gen against that 4 man SWF team that had toolboxes. Sometimes they squeezed one or even two out the gates, but it was one hell of a game and even the nurse felt it was a good game. I'll certainly miss those games.
Don't pretend to be a killer main, the nurse didn't deserve this.
I disagree, you can do well with any killer at red ranks. 5 gens to kill 1 survivor, and then NOED down 1 more, and that's a draw. Any killer can do that.
If you want constant 4k's you will definitely need to do some camping and tunneling though; perhaps a ton with the weaker killers.
At this point they need to look into the map design more than buffing every other killer. Some maps are incredibly biased for survivor (haddo, blood lodge, etc) and some are very biased for killers (hawkin's lab with nearly every pallet being useless). Just sorting out the pallet situations would solve so many M1 killer problems without needing to rework like 8 of them.
And I've been a killer main for YEARS, and never touch nurse, and I'm glad she is dead. Hopefully as dead as the OP makes it sound. I played her when I was a baby killer.
It's like one of the games long standing issues finally being solved. Think I am going to cry if they ever get rid of infinite windows? No idea why those are still around, but hey 3 years in and they are still on almost every map.
I also never understood the whole "but she is the only one that counters SWF!" argument either. Any killer can slap on a mori or some OP add-ons and it's a game again. The SWF is probably gonna have full builds and instaheals and BNPs and all that, so may as well use your tools as well.

Do us all a favour and stop being a dirty liar, no killer actively calls for the nerf of characters or complains there isn't enough variety when playing as "SURVIVOR"
At red ranks I play against nurse, spirit, billy the overwhelming majority of the time as survivor. Throw in some gen slowdown freddy, and some huntress for flavor here and there and that's about it.
I purposely don't play those killers a lot because I find them so easy, powerful, and spammed at red ranks and I like to play off-meta characters. Nerfs to them so we might see some variety sounds great to me, not like I am playing them.
Nurse especially needed the nerfs because she was just so powerful, boring to play, and boring to play against. Does she see you? Yes? Ok, you are dead if she is competent.
Spirit is super lame to play against but at least playing her is entertaining. Billy just needs some add-on nerfs, and freddy idk what they should do but he's dumb to play against and takes little skill to do well with.
I play killer like 80% of the time btw.
-
I'm a killer main and I want her nerfed into the ground. Too many bad killers carried by her being OP, same with spirit.
Looking forward to some spirit nerfs and then maybe survivor will be worth playing again without having to face the ~big three~ like 80% of my games.

I’m not saying she’s bad. I’m saying that she’s a good killer in some aspects, and decent in others. But that kind of dies down when people don’t cleanse.
Again, she can be one of the most powerful killers in the game - like you said - but that’s if everyone cleanses. And the people who cleanse are either people who don’t play against her as much or newcomers. But that can completely turn against her when against experienced players. Just because insta-heals and Adrenaline doesn’t work against her, that’s only if you remain Injured. If you’re in the Dying State and you’re broken, you can still be picked back up to Injured with Adrenaline or from an insta-heal. Broken just means you can’t heal fully back to Healthy. You can still be healed from Dying to Injured.
If people don't cleanse, they are just a 1 shot all game. Ghostface and myers entire kits involve them having to sneak around stalking people to get the 1 shots and plague just swings her mouse back and forth at each survivor once and it's permanent exposed and they are super loud to boot. It's also easy 4 stack thantophobia. That alone makes her better than like 70% of the killers.
Her corrupt puke is legit broken and there's a reason nobody ever cleanses. It's that OP.
If you are having trouble hitting survivors once after they are already broken.....that's not a problem with plague. That's you as a killer needing to get better.
Try running monitor and abuse so you get closer before they start running, or play with your food for an easy 3x set of down after building stacks, or just run good old enduring + spirit fury for literally free downs.
-
She's easy to play and super powerful. You don't even have to touch people to get them to half state, completely free damage if you see them.
Then her power is borderline broken if you can use it, and if nobody cleanses then you are basically perma tier 3 myers all game.
Add in her ability is a hard counter to:
-instaheals
-iron will
-adrenaline
......and she is honestly right up there as one of the best killers in the game, no debating.
If you think she is bad you just need to lay off the OP killers for a bit because she is probably like #6 or #7 overall.

NOED is a crutch perk for weak killers 100%. For better killers who use it? It's like insurance against strong SWF teams. It's also the ultimate "second chance" perk and there's a reason killers who camp from the first hook love it.
Do I think it's OP, though? Nah. I don't think it's good game design, however, and it doesn't belong in a seriously competitive game. DBD isn't one of those games, though. It's asymmetrical and moris and keys exist.
You could word basically half the perks in the game as rewarding failure. SELF CARE REWARDS BAD SURVIVORS WHO GOT HIT. DS REWARDS BAD SURVIVORS WHO GOT HOOKED. BOND REWARDS BAD SURVIVORS WITH NO GAME AWARENESS. Etc, etc.
NOED is a crutch just as much as DS, Adrenaline, BT, etc etc are crutches.
And no it's not the ultimate second chance perk, that goes to DS. DS + deliverance and you get your own free escape + second life. Make it to the endgame with deliverance and DS up still and you are basically invincible within a huge radius of the exit doors and can do stupid plays to save teammates and not be punished at all; with 0 counterplay other than you missing DS.

Iron Will is meta regardless. The amount of control it takes away from Killers attempting to mind game loops is staggering.
A tunneling, camping spirit most likely.
Iron will does literally nothing in chase 90% of the time, as far as being the thing that directly got you out. I like it mainly because getting your position given away by your injured survivor moans like 2 minutes after you got stabbed is annoying and it's more meta to just gen rush for the adrenaline heal than ever heal mid match.
-
Slowdown freddy is crutch, basically a whole crutch character. He's right up there with spirit / nurse as one of the more faceroll killers to win with now, unfortunately.
-
It's in a pretty good spot if both sides are roughly equally skilled. There's only a few really OP things left in the game (instaheals, keys, mori's, DS, spirit/nurse, etc etc) and it looks like they are slowly being nerfed away as it is.
-
I love how the OP basically has 1 real suggestion to offer. "Run iron will and hope she is bad".
Because that's about all you can do vs. a spirit with a brain. Walk in random direction when she phases, run iron will, and pray she is bad. A fun and balanced killer for sure.
Toss her in the dumpster with nurse, and then rework freddy and quicksaw billy can join her too.

@Mochan said:
If you don't think there's a difference, you obviously have no idea how to look for totems in a very fast manner, and your mindgames against the killer while in chase are a lot more limited. Mouse lets you control the camera much, much faster and more precisely to do very quick actions you can't do on a controller as survivor. This matters a lot while searching for totems or mindgaming a killer in loops.
Also, as you said killer is harder on console. That means the survivors by default have a much easier time, just because the killers can't perform on the same level as on PC.
Bow to me, console peasants, I am your PC Master Race!
***
That said I don't think console survivors are trash. But let's be realistic please. I mean, console survivors actually think 360 is a valid technique. That alone should tell you everything.
360 is a valid technique on console because the FPS is so much worse that it's honestly a lot harder to hit people through the random frame drops. That's also the main reason I think console killer is harder, because the random frame drops don't really impact a running survivor ; but totally jack up killer swings.
Player wise I still have run across some really good console survivor players, but it's a lot rarer than on PC.
I play with a controller as a survivor on PC anyways, it's way more comfortable to me and you are just holding 1 button half the time. I don't think cross platform would really impact this game much.
-
She still needs a nerf. You basically have to give up a perk slot for iron will at red ranks or you are a free down to any competent spirit; and there are a lot of them. No killer should be that prominent.
There is basically no counterplay to a good spirit beyond walk when she starts phasing, run iron will, and hope she sucks. That's why it's no fun to play against her.
-
In my experience console has been significantly easier than PC, on both sides. Red ranks on console feels like purple ranks on PC to me. I almost never get survivors who can run me for a long time on console, even at red ranks; but on PC it is standard for a red rank lobby to have some good loopers in it.

Both statements can be true in my eyes. Players who have no way of overcoming these badly designed spaces with the Killer they are playing as but choose to waste time they cannot afford in those spaces anyways are bad, but those spaces are still badly designed.
You can try to avoid the insane loops but sometimes it is not really feasible. Take the suffocation pit god window for example. Typically your best bet on that map against really good survivors is doing a 3 gen on one side of the map.
Boom, you spawn in on the side with the god window. Ruin is on the other side, instantly dies cause it spawned in view of a survivor. Discordance pops off on that side as well, and before you can even walk to that side of the map the gen is basically done because of toolboxes and prove thyself. Chase one survivor off, the other one finishes it. Get your first hook and the first gen is done.
Now your 3 gen is stuck on the god window side, and every survivor in the lobby knows to abuse it. What is your strategy? Just don't chase them on that side of the map ever?
-
Once you have played a lot of killer you start to do a 45-90 degree swing with your basic attack for the most part. Then your swing attack is basically a cone attack instead of just the lunge and it's incredibly hard to 360. Sometimes you can get cucked by autoaim but it's rare.
-
@BloodyNights said:
90% of the time getting gen rushed is the killers fault imo. You are doing poorly in chases, aren't putting pressure on gens, not having enough situational awareness to realize where survivors might be hiding or even spotting them and walking right past them.
There is the 10% where it's just bad luck. If you wanted to argue it being 80/20 I'd be even fine with that. But regardless the majority of the time it's the killers fault on why gens get rushed.
Kill rushing is also a thing, it's just not as easily noticeable when playing as killer, but there are times when a killer just takes down 2-3 people at once sometimes very early if it's a Billy, Tier 3 Myers, Leatherbutt, or perhaps haunting ground went off.
People complain about noed, and then people say do bones, and then people say they don't have time to look for and cleanse the totems. Both are rushing their objective, it's just how this game goes. I don't think Gens really need a nerf, but I do think some of the weaker killers could use buffs to help them compete with the killers who have the mobility to traverse the map like Nurse, Billy, Freddy etc.
Clearly you must not be going up against very good survivors, and even at red ranks most survivors are still not that good at looping. Once you run into the survivors with thousands of hours who know how to play every tile and make very few mistakes, you will realize that while playing m1 killers the chases have little to do with your play and everything to do with the survivors making mistakes. You can try to force mistakes with mindgames but the majority of the pallets in the game are unmindgameable and safe. Toss in some god windows and balanced landing infinites and you can be in for a really rough time, even the worst survivors can abuse those.
Most maps the totem placements are garbage and you can expect your ruin to last less than a minute, if the survivors even care about it. Many at rank 1 just pound through ruin like it doesn't exist or use socket swivel commodious / prove thyself etc which basically counters it.
You can just join the herd and spam nurse / billy / huntress / spirit I guess though. But the wins with them just don't feel very rewarding to me sometimes. Same with using crutch perks. Sometimes it does get annoying where you run into the lobbies where every survivor is running every crutch perk there is though, and you put them back on.
-
32 second recover while moving sprint burst, vacuum pallets, and free life (more than it is now) DS were insane, no joke.
That said while there are no real "infinites" anymore because of bloodlust; there are still some god windows that if rotated in between nearby pallets can easily last more than it will take to do 4-5 gens and that's gamebreaking in of itself.
"Just run bamboozle" So you have to give up an entire perk slot just in case you run into a map with busted windows and it's basically useless otherwise, got it.
"Just play overpowered killers" I don't really find them to be a challenge or very interesting to play anymore. Some people can stand playing 2000 hours of nurse. I am not one of them.
-
I don't care too much, and honestly the main difference I see in survivor play between green/purple ranks and red ranks is just the perks and items. It's rare to run across someone who can actually loop me for a long time.
Every time I get a 3-4k entity displeased I have to laugh. Displeased the survivors all killed themselves first hook or displeased the entire team got slugged in the first minute of the game? Jokes.
-
Killer for sure. Survivor is pretty boring outside of chases to me. Killer you are always in a chase.
-
I main him at rank 1-2 and usually run ruin, whispers, play with your food, and noed. Whispers lets you get an instant stalk off at the start of the game or at least a free m1 to start the chase, as well as secure the last kill if you close the hatch. You know exactly what gens to sneak up on instead of having to sneak up on every gen.
Play with your food is more of a safety net in case I run into a really good object of obsession user; most of the time it's not needed but when you load in and see that object you can chuckle instead of cringe.
Same thing with noed, not usually required but if you get demolished by triple toolboxes or something of the like it can quickly swing the match back in your favor.
Save the best for last can be really fun on him as well. If you find yourself not being able to get too many stalks off it turns him into a better wraith.
Sometimes franklins if I see 4 items in the lobby, making people drop their skeleton key in the grass is always nice; and you can be 100% sure they will come back to it later for an easy stalk later on.
I see a lot of people run nurses on him but I am not a fan of the perk, since I wear headphones and can usually find injured people anyways.
Agitation / iron grasp for your standard basement camping build.
That's about all I use. BBQ if I need points but I only use it for bloodpoints.
-
Fire up is terrible unless you are combo'ing it with brutal strength; but for the exact same 2 perk slots spirit fury / enduring does the exact same job but also let's you get in free hits as well.
Agitation is usually a waste unless you are explicitly going for basement hooks with it, or maybe you are billy with BBQ so you can hook people before the others can get into lockers. Other than that I think it's a waste of a perk slot.

Lmao that’s not gens being unbalanced that’s a bad killer not able to chase someone or learn how to break chase at strong loops and properly patrol gens.
I do blame them. There is a big difference between when someone knows how to run a loop and when they don’t. OR when 4 survivors have brought boxes but don’t even bother to check gens. Gens aren’t going to patrol themselves.
This isn’t a new concept. Even newbie killers understand this.
Nope you didn’t say it was the only reason, just one that you heavily like to bring up much like in many of your other posts.
"Break chase at strong loops" he says. What do you do when you load into a map where 80-90% of the pallets are safe if you have a brain, a god window has spawned, and there's plenty of infinites to be had with balanced landing? Oh and hey, someone spawned on your ruin.
Go on a chase longer than a minute? Lose 3 gens. "Noob killer ez".
Break the chase it took you maybe 30-40 seconds to get into, waste another 30-40 seconds finding the next chase, and then get into another chase just to repeat the exact same process?
There is a reason you only really see a handful of killers played at the red ranks. The m1 killers can't really deal with the gen rushing unless you are using crutches or hardcore camping / tunneling.
-
@Rydog said:
You guys are frigging dumb. DS activates for one minute, and then it's gone. Can you really not just go deal with other survivors for one minute, when you see someone is marked as your obsession?
The whole point of the perk is to force you to leave that one survivor alone after they've been hooked. Adding a whole bunch of stipulations to prevent it from working as intended would be idiotic.
At red ranks you will see at a minimum 2 DS per game, usually 3 or all 4 survivors will have it. And one minute is an insanely long time when all the gens can get done in 3-4 minutes or less.
Sometimes the games are so fast that you will go hook a survivor, go off, down and hook someone else, then come back to that area and down that survivor again and they STILL have DS up. Meanwhile, 2 gens got knocked out. That is balance.
All the people who say "it's just a 5 second stun!" never take into account that it usually lets the survivor get to another slew of pallets, extending the chase for potentially minutes depending on how BS the nearby loops are.
Right now, DS is a either a free go work half a gen card, or a completely free escape if you are hooked near an exit gate.
Pretty terrible game design, and the workaround is basically to not let survivors get unhooked in the first place; or play the overpowered killers who can deal with 4x DS.
-
Trapper is made for camping. Once you trap an area it's foolish to leave because people can get out of the traps in like 10 seconds or less; so you need to be right there to scoop them up.
You shouldn't really be getting looped for half the map as trapper. Break chase if the survivors know what they are doing and trap an area instead; then chase through that. As you get better you will know the best places to trap to stop the loops. He's one of the only killers that can shut down the stupid god windows that for some still reason exist in the game.
Basement trapper is the best; iron grasp + agitation might be overkill but I would always run at least agitation to extend your basement threat and be able to carry people to more camp-able hooks.
I don't think his ultra rares are his best add-ons. It has to be extra dark traps or the dying state traps. Dark traps will catch even experienced survivors off-guard and dying traps are super strong. I run those and a trapper bag every time I can.
But honestly at the end of the day, trapper is just a worse hag. Everything trapper does, hag does way better.

Proxy camping you can injure people before they even reach the hook, preventing this type of play.

Survivors are not going to want to play matches where their action speed is decreased by up to 50%. Devs won't do that, and that's understandable. It wouldn't be fun to go against.
Hello? New Freddy? Literally EVERY freddy runs the action speed reduction perks, ruin, and pop. Maybe throw in thana or dying light on top of that and it's insane.
Why would it be outrageous to have a perk do it when there's killers with dying light built-in from when you spawn?
New dying light sounds like trash, and the old dying light was basically only useful with a mori. I don't even know why it's being nerfed.
-
Why does everyone think just because they have an instadown you will be able to pull it off in time at the endgame? For myers they might already be out of juice, and for ghostface you could just get broken out or if there is not an object to stare out from behind it will take like 10 seconds to stalk someone to exposed.
Say you are running around in the middle of the map, 3 survivors are left, maybe 2 on deadhook, and the last gen pops. By the time you even get to an exit gate, if you pick the right one, it could be to 50-75% or greater. Having NOED vs. not would be the difference between instantly downing that survivor and killing them; moving on to kill more....or going on another chase, potentially to a slew of safe pallets.
NOED is a no-brainer to me. Completely worth it's slot, even on insta down killers.

Blows my mind that you can rate plague so low. I think she is one of the strongest, easiest to play killers in the game. Just touch anyone with the puke and eventually it turns into free damage. If survivors don't cleanse you are a perma tier 3 myers. Adrenaline doesn't work, instaheals don't work, and iron will doesn't work. If survivors do cleanse you are just straight up overpowered.
I would put the Demogorgon just a little bit below freddy, super strong but not nurse or spirit level. Better than the majority of killers in the game. Not a killer I plan to play or buy, because he looks like a worse freddy to me, but it should be interesting to face as a survivor.
You can teleport around the map for pressure but freddy teleporting to generators already does that. He can leap to shut down some loops but freddy snares already do that.
-
Leatherface isn't even that bad. He still has a 1-shot. There are a few combo's on him that make him super scary; either play with your food or spirit fury / enduring let you get basically free chainsaws. Instasaw leatherface is strong, and beast markings leatherface is also very strong. The chili add-ons do literally nothing which is a shame considering their rarity.
As for solo Q survivor, I always recommend running selfish perks. I have watched some streamers escape 20+ times in a row; with like 15 of those games being hatch games. You need to assess early if you think your team can even make it to the endgame; if people are dropping like flies it is best to just let them die and wait for the hatch.
An amazing perk is wake up, since while running it you don't even need to find the hatch. Let the killer find the hatch and just stand on an exit gate, the second it gets closed start to open it.
I also highly recommend spine chill, the amount of information it gives is invaluable for staying alive longer than your team. When I am playing killer I also tend to find that spine chill users are the ones alive at the end, after all your typical meta DS / Adrenaline / BT users have been sacrificed.

NOED you just bring when you alredy EXPECT to lose (i.e. at least one survivor will escape). Good killer (red ranks) will instead choose a wiser perk to help in early-mid game to not even come in this situation!!
But when you play this game long enough you will figure that out yourself (probably) (eventually) (hopefully).
Lol. 1 survivor escaping isn't a loss. A 3K is still a win, 4K is a crushing victory. A 2K is a draw, 1K a loss, 0K a humiliating defeat.
I've been playing at red ranks for years and still use NOED; on pretty much every killer. Half the time I get hate from people for using it when they died before the last gen was done anyways. The same people who complain about it will all be running adrenaline, DS, BT, and then either dead hard or balanced landing. Literally every crutch in the book but when the killer uses an overpowered perk oh my god so bad dude!
I think it's a great insurance policy. Sure, never getting to the endgame sounds great. But then you finish loading into the map and it's blood lodge with some bad RNG and the survivors have like 15+ safe, unmindgameable pallets to work with and you are playing a loopable killer. Oh, and all those medkits you saw in the lobby? They turn out to be instaheals. That's when you will be happy you have NOED.

Nurse isn't as bad on console as she used to be but there are still pretty massive FPS drops that make her just feel bad to play.

Can we remove killer’s ability to see items in lobby instead? :)
It's called swap to the character with the item on at 6 seconds.

It seems you never played survivor, what you say is a total fallacy.
You clearly don't play at red ranks. A chase that lasts a minute or two can be game-ending; and is honestly not that hard to pull off on the m1 killers if you get a lousy map with an infinite and a ton of safe pallets.

If you want to give more power to killers (with all the nerfs survs had), the casuals wont have any chance at all, its total unnecessary since this is not a competitive game.
Nobody will play the game, ever.
The nerfs were pretty needed. Survivors still have a ton of crutches to rely on while killers have 2 (spirit fury and noed). 1 DS is still enough to win the game, 1 unbreakable still enough to win the game, 1 dead hard for distance to another loop enough to end the game, an instaheal can win the game, etc etc. Half the time if you want to use the OP killer items like mori's someone will just dodge the lobby. In the old days survivor was literally god mode with sprint burst on a 32 second cooldown and able to be used in a chase with vacuum pallets.

I run ruin / pop if I am actually trying to get pips; but doing some end game builds are fun too on a lot of weak killers since you are probably getting to endgame against good survivors. Noed / bloodwarden / rancor and half the time you don't even care if it's getting to lategame because then you go full beastmode.

There's not even 15 pallets on any map XD
You must have not played the new preschool maps ever. And the maps that don't spawn a lot of pallets, the pallets are super safe. Or you get maps like the game, where you can literally get like 5+ safe pallets all in a row (near the washroom); with a pallet in almost every single room on top of that.

You are right, that punishment is way to high, but survivors have so many second chance perks
Well the problem is if the survivors are bad (or the killer is playing someone OP like nurse / spirit) the killer just rolls over everyone and then it feels awful as a solo q survivor so you want all those second chance perks. But if the survivors you run into have thousands of hours and know all the good pallets / windows etc etc and how to run them there isn't too much you can do as an m1 killer and the game is over in 4-5 minutes and then the second chances are way too much.

60 seconds really isn't that long of a time if you chase them again in 60 seconds slugging is the best thing to do.
60 seconds is a super long time in dead by daylight? A gen takes 80 seconds to do, without gen rush items like socket swivel toolboxes or prove thyself. If 3 people are on gens that's almost 3 gens done in that 60 seconds.
