just realized that people say "survvior need to adapt" since 2016 but if someone says "killers need to adapt" it's a 'no, survivors just need a nerf, it's not fun'

You sound like you rely on self-care too much. Don't search for a teammate. Take the opportunity to heal when you can and pressure gens if you can't. Spine Chill is way more efficient if you're going against stealth.
did that. didn't searched for teammates, did gens & as soon as the killer comes I'm basically dead. plus I won't try to unhook anyone if im injured so I rather run selfcare & be indepentand from anything & get more stuff done than without

I think that there are better ways to deal with your injury then Selfcare
- Dont heal at all! Pump gens and use Adrenaline
- Let a Teammate do the job
- You can heal yourself with a Medkit more efficient
- Inner Strength outclasses Selfcare
- Dont heal at all! Pump gens and use Adrenaline
- -> Got killed too many times doing gens while not running selfcare to get full life
- Let a Teammate do the job
- -> In the time I try to find my teammates I can easily selfcare myself & move on to gens
- You can heal yourself with a Medkit more efficient
- -> true, but takes the opportunity from you to use other items
- Inner Strength outclasses Selfcare
- -> if you get enough totems to always heal yourself yeah, but if you're teammates do totems as well it can easily be a one-time-use perk
I don't say you're wrong, just from my perspective; I tried playing without & got ######### over so many times or had to let teammates die because I couldn't heal myself that it's easily in A or B tier for me especially while seeing what perks got above Selfcare in that list.
-
Selfcare in D? This can't be right

It only triggered when the killer was in the pick up animation, but then it would be wasted because the killer would hook you and thus reinjure you and you'd lose the speed boost, which was a bug and be exhausted. Not sure what you think was a bug turned into a feature.
Patch 1.5.0
- Mechanics Change: Adrenaline now causes Exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
- Quality of Life: ignores the Exhaustion condition.
- Quality of Life: Adrenaline is now on hold if you are disable at the moment it should take effect and will activate when freed.
(which proves that it wasn't a bug as you stated)
Patch 1.8.1
- Quality of Life & Buff: Adrenaline now heals one Health State no matter the state the Survivor is in and grants a sprint burst of 5 seconds across all Tiers.
- Quality of LifeQ: Adrenaline now wakes up sleeping Survivors.
Source: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Adrenaline
So it got buffed multiple times & the only nerf should be the exhaustion one.

You're reading it wrong. Also, changing level 1 to level 3 values isn't a buff. Nobody keeps a perk at level 1 for long
Adrenaline didn’t healed you after you got unhooked and I believe it even activated when you were carried by the killer. So that was a huge buff even tho it started as a bug and became a feature
-
There are more and more people that do it.. got 3 of them in the last week.. sadly I can't record them & when I tell them in after chat that they can get a ban for it they're laughing and saying stuff like "yeah ban me" like it's a joke. That bhvr doesn't care about this issue other than saying "yeah you can report them for a week of a ban if even that" is just sad.
-
what upsets me the most about the nerf is that they literally buffed balanced landing to have the stagger effect even when you’re exhausted. now they basically revert the buff to the way that perk was when it got released. Not that many people used it then. I for one will replace BL with DS or BT or something useful
-
imagine buffing Balanced Landing just to nerf it back how it was before ..
-
for survivor i'd say Alert. I don't use it much but every time I do use it, I really enjoy playing with it.
-
survivors tend to sanbag others now all the time.. never had a big issue with those people because they were rare, but recently I got so many survivors that just follow me around the map trying to get me to die.. not fun & I just dc as soon as I realize whats going on
-
I can understand if survivors don't enjoy playing against Freddy 9/10 games.. If they dc just because they lost/got downed etc though, I can't.
-
Funny how everyone's complayining about Blendettes for example and then say "It's a horror game and you should be scared and try to hide, play sneaky instead of looping the killer!" Like, I understand that it's frustrating to get a sneaky Blendette, but please don't tell me in the next sentences that it's a horror game and I should hide and be scared..
As for changing cosmetics; I'm on your side.. They changed my Ace shirt from a red to an ugly brown for literally no reason.. never touching that outfit or character again.
-
I had multiple staring constets during the last 2 hours. I literally had to stay in front of them to wipe him out of his stalk (and I got a hit for that ofc) because he either was only showing his mask by leaning or he was stalking-hiding-stalking again-hiding and so on and I could do nothing to stop that because every time I almost had him out of stalk he hid and I had to stare again. On top of that I have to almost look into the sky to get my screen middle point on him.. survivor don't look like that all game so put the point more vertical so I can wipe him out even if he's under my window I'm standing etc. It's just frustrating and if it continues I'm just gonna suicide on the hook as soon as I know he's the killer tbh
-
The only thing that is OP is the fact that I can stare at him forever and he can just stalk me anyway because he's only showing his mask or I can't move my camera more so that he would be in the middle..

@Neska It is more fun to be that distraction, don't like OoO myself though.
What I'm saying as a solo player, there is no benefit for me to work on gens since me working on them feels pointless, other than some extra bloodpoints.
As a SWF player there is an incentive for me to work on gens.
In the earlier days before EGC, there was more of an incentive to work on gens.
The hatch will spawn no matter what now, so as a solo player I don't have to work on them. If there is a SWF in my group, they work on them.
--
Someone sabo'ing can save you in the match. Why do you think those sabo'ers are getting rewarded on emblems now. Also being chased while others work on generators gets rewarded now. So as a solo player there is even more of an incentive not to do gens.
--
As a solo player, I don't care if you get out or not. I'm most likely going to die in the match because of how I play. That all buys players like yourself time.
However I wouldn't care if the killer dropped chasing me cause I ran by you while working on a gen. I'll be there to save you afterwards, and maybe heal you. You go back and press M1 on the gen when we are done. I'm gonna run off looking for more totems, or even the killer themselves.
--
I'm trying to understand what is the motivation now for working on gens as a solo player. As I feel some of the motivation was removed.
So first you say that all you care about are bloodpoints, now you're saying that working gens is pointless because you only get bloodpoints?? It just seems to me that you don't enjoy this game anymore but you still try to play it all the time.. maybe you really should play other games that give you joy if this doesn't do it for you anymore
-
If you don’t want to do gens, use OoO and be the one who’s distracting the killer. If you complain that you‘re not important to your teammates and they let you die, I‘ll tell you: I would do the same. If I see my teammates doing nothing but totems and sabo‘s the hooks I would not care about them either, because they’re not helping to get out of the match.
I‘m not the „I need to save everyone and I even give my own life for them“ kind of player, but I still want to escape (since that’s what this game is about) and try my best so everyone gets out. I just hope your not living anywhere near me so I‘ll never get you as a teammate tbh

Is please with the new changes to things, they make it loook better not worse, and most of the changes i believe are with shards.
I talk about clothes for Ace, and I bought them because I liked the red colour it had. now it's no longer red but brown and I don't like it. I don't care if I spend 900 shards or 50 auric cells (because it's a brown outfit). If they do it with that stuff they would do it with a 10€ only auric cells purple outfit as well. (Imagine if I wouldn't like the red meg hair, or fengs black&blonde hair, I would've spend 400 AC for nothing)
For the people that say they bought a killer and he got nerfed, I undertsand that this is frustrating, but it's still kinda different, because they always say "maybe we tweak him" which can mean "we make him better" or "you'll never want to touch him again".. but with a outfit it's more like "we did that & you'll get what you see" they never said "oh maybe we change it's colour if it pleases us" .. I guess the only thing I can do is just never play Ace again & think twince about buying an outfit in the store..
-
Personally I don't need a secondary effect on WGLF, I just want the 200% back that we had when the perk first came out. Survivors often get less BP's as a killer so it wouldnt hurt.
-
I wouldn't mind unsafer loops that can get mindgamed, but I guess most killer will just rely on bloodlust and don't even break the palettes then..
-
For survivor it’s Iron Will (followed by bond, balanced landing, adrenaline & selfcare)
For Killer I guess it’s whispers (followed by BBQ for the bp’s & enduring)
-
i’m glad that i don’t rank higher than rank 8 thanks to the brainless teammates and the ‘new’ ranking system.. the last time I was in red ranks (last year) I always got good nurses, insta saw billy’s, spirits that you can’t hear during her phasing & one shot huntresses.. so only good killers that bring the best addons.. most unfun time i had in dbd.. if you could still derank by disconnecting & i would get to that rank i would totally do it
-
I just think it’s sad that the 4 original survivor seem to get “auric cells only” purples and the other get purple outfits that you can often buy with shards (not all of them) where the OG’s only have each 1 purple outfit that’s you can buy with shards..
-
I bet they remove the blood on her prestige in a few years completely Kappa
I wish they would bring back her Prestige outfit as it was when she got released :/
-
I asked EAC about the icon packs/the possibility to get banned if I change the perk icons, this was the email I got back:
"Thank you for your question.
Easy Anti-Cheat is only interested of the use of third-party tools designed to grant an unfair in-game advantage over other players.

The whole purpose of the new matchmaking was to balance and improve the average queue times overall for all players. That means, some people maybe waited a bit longer than before but other people waited much shorter than before. With the new MM i had only longer wait times as killer with 3-4 min but i didn't really care, survivor was fine with < 1 min. I'm sure many people still didn't get that point of the new MM.
the waiting times weren't that bad, I think the worst thing for me was going against red rank killers with good addons again & again as a solo player that isn't that great & with 3 teammates that somtimes are even worse than me.. since the revert of the system I have those red rank killers only every other game instead of every game. When I was rank 12 or something I only got baby killers & that wasn't great either (for them). If they fix that I would be pretty happy with the new system they had.
-
I actually get much faster lobbies now.. My killer lobby is full in 1-2 minutes (at rank 7) & I get lobbys in 1 minute max as a rank 8 survivor. With the "new" system I had to wait 2 minutes as survivor on that same rank and got 90% red rank killers & I waited for 3-4 minutes to find a match as killer.. so personally I'm pretty happy that we got the old system back.

I report every one that DC. At first I thought this DC thing was a joke but now I see it a lot. Just this morning alone 3 out 5 games at least 2 people DC in each game. It freaks up the game for the rest of the survivors. Why would someone DC and lose everything. I get it, it can frustrating when you run to a bs killer but doesnt mean give up. How are you gonna learn and get better at a game if you give up when its getting hard?
Survivors don’t lose anything anymore. You lose your pips but as soon as you restart your game, you’re back at that rank you were before you dc’d, that and the fact that you get red rank killers even if you’re purple, green or yellow rank yourself makes survivor dc more often imo. & if you report the people that dc, you could also report for suiciding on the hook, because it’s the same thing other than that the killer get’s the bbq stack..
-
9/10 games right now is a red rank (mostly rank 1/2) killer vs me (rank 9/10) & 3 more rank 9-15 survivors.. And since they think they go against good survivors they always take really good addons and they just destroy us most of the times.. It's just not fun anymore to get rekt before you could even do 2 gens because the teammates get downed faster than you can save them.. I get that it can happen every now and then that a killer in purple to yellow ranks take good perks & addons, but I've never had so many good killers with really good addons that consistently since I was in red ranks myself like 1 year ago.
-
This is what I get 8/10 games atm as survivor. I'm rank 10 and it seems like I either get an "okay" to "good" ping and a rank 2 killer or I get the worst ping possible and a killer within my rank.. I'm just so frustrated with this matchmaking.. The dev's really need to learn to act quicker with such problems..
-
soo.. do we get the results?
-
I just had the same trapper bot twice yesterday.. first one I saw in over a year I think
-
I don't even know why you report people for dc'ing.. It's stated in the rules that they get banned if they dc often enough & that you shouldn't report those people since their system is tracking their dc rate without your/anyones reports..
-
Didn't they removed them last year after some time because people found them too annoying?

Maybe I liked it so much because it was like an alternate game mode for me, I didn't had to sit on gens half the game and then escape for another 5k that I would never see if I don't escape(that's btw the only thing why I want to escape in this game, because of the 5k bp).. As for killer; I already said that I wish they wouldn't need to hook people for nectar or whatever because I feel like it's more stressing than sucking some flowers.. maybe they should've gave the killer some flowers too, i don't know..
The problem is that Killers do not have anywhere near enough time these days.
With 2.5.0, Gen Rush will be more off an issue than ever before as Prove Thyself now looks like a very attractive choice, especially for the Event.
The Killer already has very little time to fulfil their regular objective and now also have to locate and destroy vessels to get most of their points.
I know, I said myself that they don't have the time for destroying vessels a few comments before.. That's why I don't understand why they make it so you actually WANT to escape as a survivors this event.. with the Hallowed Blight event, survivors didn't even looked at gens before they had their nectar, because it didn't made a difference for the event if you escaped or not, but if you get 20 points for escaping with a vessel, that makes toolboxes+prove thyself very attractive..
-

Kinda true.. I had to take a break after I had my serum on survivor side, because no gens were getting done and it was annoying to do gens alone half the game, personally I didn't had anyone who suicided on the hook, maybe I was just lucky or it was so rare that I don't remember..
-
@fcc2014 said: Event matches are usually much shorter than average matches in my experience playing both sides.
I felt like during the Hallowed Blight, the matches were longer, because most survivors didn't worked on gens but were looking for flowers. Maybe I'm wrong, I didn't played killer that event because of the waiting times, but the matches felt longer and I think I didn't even escaped as much since gens were worked on so late..
But I agree that the killer doesn't have time to destroy vessels, especially if the survivors try to do the gens as fast as possible to escape with a vessel themselfes..
-
I don't really like the concept of having to survive for more points.. I mean I totally get it; it's the point of a survivor to survive, but I feel like I had more fun during the Hallowed Blight event, because I could make my (easy) points and didn't have to gen rush (survive) to get the max points during a game, I got my flowers and then I was doing gens & didn't cared about surviving much, even without a event I feel kind of pressured to get the 5k survive points, but during the Hallowed Blight I didn't had that pressure and it was nice.. Besides that, I always felt like Killers have to try harder for their points than survivors, which is why I didn't bother playing Killer during the last two events since I'm not good at it, so hooking survivors on special hooks wasn't the easiest..

As you can tell I'm a bit lost here and would really appreciate it, if someone could explain that difference to me
Leader is way faster but doesn't affect gens anymore.
Prove Thyself only counters a nerf that was implemented a long time ago.
Its now 10% faster no matter how many but only one can be active meaning if there are 3 people on a gen using it the total bonus will still be 10% not 30%
Oh okay, I think I got it now, thank you

Uhm yes it does?
Deep Wounds does not down you. He literally has to M1 with a normal attack...while moving at hag speed...
For him to down you actually with Feral Frenzy he has to hit you at least 4 times...that includes the fatigue time after hits and his power fully recovering multiple times to be used again...
So what happens at the end of the bleed out timer?
Nothing, because unless someones brain dead they have mended the Deep Wounds away or the timer hasn't even gone down at all because they are in a chase still. To go down from the Deep Wounds timer you literally had to escape the killer and then do nothing.
I don't know how you play Legion, or how the killers you play against play him, but I get hit with Frenzy and then he chases someone else so I have to mend myself and - since I don't wanna get surprised half life - I heal to full health because I don't use SB to run away as soon as he appears.
If you are full healing against Legion then you are playing wrong, that's the issue. You are wasting gen time. There is no reason to heal against him. Mend and then do gens.
