Should "Exposed" Be Renamed
I've seen lots of new players (myself included) be confused by the Exposed effect. The name implies the killer can see you. But it actually means you can be downed in a single blow. So should it be renamed to something more appropriate such as "Vulnerable" ?

Its fine as is. If you are new, there's a tutorial and it even tells you in the game.

I haven't been new for a very long time. But when I was it sucked. Let's be real Exposed is misleading.
Doesn’t hurt to change it, and will certainly clarify the statuses resulting effect. I see this issue happen a lot, and only really deters/harms new players which is the last thing this game wants to do
Yeah. Definitely should be changed. I had no clue it meant 1-hit downs until about two weeks after I started playing.
Exposed really needs to be changed
Yes, it is confusing to newer players and it is a fairly simple change.
I'd change the word from "Exposed" to "Vulnerable". Sure it's not as hard hitting, but exposed sounds more like a visual debuff than the actual debuff's effect.
i've had three friends come to the game since i started, all 3 have asked me what it means, one even specifically asking "does that mean the killer can see me?". change it, please, its very misleading

There's a neat lil help section in the game that tells you exactly what it is.
But i also won't lose any sleep over them changing it.
That makes more sense.
Exposed sounds like your aura is being shown
I remember when it was introduced some survivors thought it meant the killer saw their aura.
I don't mind it changing but what represents One Shot Down? Some say vulnerable but are you not alway?
I've introduced 4 people to the game at different times. Each one of them thought Exposed meant killers could see their aura. People learn it eventually, but it's very misleading and can confuse new players.
People can just read the tutorial if they want to know.
When i first got the game i thought "exposed" ment i was being revealed... it should be renamed to "Vulnerable" or "Death's Door"

I agree it's misleading, but exposed just sounds scarier.
"Screwed"? It's what most people in horror movies are, anyway.
(Actually, I'd prefer "[BAD WORD]" but "Screwed" is probably the closest we'd get.)

Honestly I don't really mind either way if it stays the same then there is still tutorial which I feel like they need to make tutorial more information letting you interact with each status effect gameplay wise.
But if they decide to change it's no loss to me

I personally don't mind exposed. Although it does more so make you think you are "visible" not covered. etc. *shrug*
Yeah, I have always thought Exposed didn't sound right, Vulnerable would be a better replacement.
On one hand exposed may be hard for newcomers but the tutorial and playing will get them uses to it.
Its just exposing the survivors weakness to instantly down them.
On the other hand changing it may confuse older players who took a break and are used to the term.
I don't know if any word could be used to make it more newcomer friendly to say exactly what it does that doesn't make it just as confusing.

“Exposed” should be officially renamed to “Reduced Brutality Resistance”. The skull icon should be replaced with “RBR!” inside a circle.
New players will think it stands for what I said above, but those of us in the know.....we'll know! 😉
Nah, I like it how it is...like an exposed weak/vulnerable spot. Think of it like how Assassins/Killers instinctively getting those killing/debilitating strikes without fail.

Literally everyone I've ever introduced to the game initially assumed that "Exposed" meant "the killer can see where I am." It's a really misleading name.

Exposed: The Survivor is in peril, they can be put into the dying state with a single basic attack, even if they are healthy.

Exposed also means to made vulnerable.
Also, most games have a learning curve. You will probably figure it out pretty quick. We have enough hand holding in this game.

It really doesn't accurately describe what the status effect does. It sounds more like something the survivor receives if the killer can see their aura.
Maybe “Fragile” will be nice.

They should just call it Defenseless or Vulnerable as someone else suggested.
