Last night, I played in a four man SWF with good friends. All of us had more than 2000 hours playtime. We went the entire night getting 3-4 escapes almost every match and only got 4k’d once. I kept thinking the matchmaking was messing up and giving us baby Killers but they always had meta builds and good add-ons. Heck some games ended up being against streamers. 😂 Learning nurse, quite hard to handle. Lost my first trial. I assume my MMR is pretty low, not more than average with her. Second trial, here is what survivors are bringing in game, they had 200 hours into DbD, noobies. They were clearly terrible but i was worst; honestly nurse gameplay is 15 years old... nothing is intuitive, it's totally garbage (while Blight has a more modern gameplay). This is a complete disaster. All my games as survivor have been walks in the park, with killers playing extremely desperate. It’s the same as it’s always been for survivor, fairly easy to hit high ranks. Killer has been the complete opposite. I didn’t even make it passed bronze 1. Reliable and consistent slowdown that you don't really have to do nothing to get value of. It's incredible. You don't really have to rely on totem spawns or maps, and it's good on every killer, from the set up ones to Blight. This is something I really think needs changing. Just a few tweaks. Either: Make it so you can opt for what rituals you want- make it vague, and just have it in the settings so players can opt if they want only killer rituals, only survivor rituals, or both. Right usually I don't mind head in when the survivors are using it for a purpose other than annoy the killer. I have had matches you just walk past lockers doing nothing just looking for survivors or something then you get head onned. That is the point where it annoys me. Why do survivors get so upset over this? yes it isnt fun to have it happen to you but a lot of killers honestly have 0 choice. it may not be fun but killers dont have fun getting "outplayed" by the cumulative 16 copout perks the survivors have and the 2-3 gens done in 2 minutes into the game. There's this rising sentiment that somehow medkits are too strong. Since when have they been too strong, and in tandem since when did they need to be nerfed? I don't think they do at all. They can be the strongest item if you feel that way, but that doesn't mean they need to be changed. Healing has been this way for a while and it's never been complained about until now. So recently on the bird app a discussion was started around the idea that the term "blendette" is inherently racist. This prompted a lot of black dbd players to chime in agreeing with the idea. I kind of wanted to gage what people in the forums thought and gain a bit of perspective. I'm white so I don't have the perspective necessary for that racial lense. Unless you're a streamer getting paid to play this game, the social aspect of DBD is the only thing that keeps bringing me back. Which is ironic, because DBD wasn't designed with voice chat, so I always wonder where the game would be without it? Are we allowed to talk about this? I can only assume that I'm playing at high MMR as Killer. I get the same teams over and over, and they are pretty good. As Survivor, I queue with people who are a lot better than me. I see a lot of Deathslinger's, Blight's and Spirit's. I am not a good Survivor, but I benefit from people who are. The amount of games where i've been sacrificed but was still at the top of the scoreboard is obscene. Does this ever happen to you guys? Sometimes i feel like im pulling half my teams weight and then they drop me during the endgame so they can escape scott free. Super frustrating stuff. Billy, Nurse, Pyramid Head were all nerfed because their strong points stood an actual chance against SWF Comp Teams. Now Spirit and Wraith is heading to that direction where in the highest of highest gameplay they were struggling to get 2Ks. So currently the "Otter" streamer ( really confused on the rules on talking about streamers so I'm not using his name) is doing an experiment to test if survivor items and add-ons are too strong. This is what I've seen so far. The group is able to easily accomplish 3 and 4 man escapes with little effort. They're able to finish all 5 gens in under 4 minutes. I think I'm a decent Survivor. I know how to loop decently well, I know which gens when to do and how. But I guess I'm stuck in Elo Hell or something because out of nowhere my games took a nosedive. I've died a few too many times to end game camping or being left on the first hook, so I guess the SBMM deems me garbage and puts me with ######### teammates again. I'm not suggesting anything or asking . I more or less want to talk about how absurd pinhead is in his current state. Pinhead needs a drastic rework to better make him useful while not being overwhelming aswell for survivors. A competent survivor team will hold his box hostage like they did with the twins and wait for him to carry a survivor or injure.
