That would be another nice basekit addon since "oh crap we 3 gennned ourselves let's hide for 20 minute games" still haven't been fixed yet🙄

to counter that I considered adding a version of whispers as basekit for killers that only activates if the killer hasn't activated a chase in more than two minutes.

You think Hex: Retribution is WEAK?! What?!

I'm going to pretend you never said that.

As for the others, most of these don't actually address what makes the perks weak.

Furtive Chase is weak because the effect of reducing your terror radius is useless while in chase. It makes such little difference. And you have to build it up. And it goes away once the Obsession dies. Your 'buff' doesn't address any of that.

Making Monsterous Shrine affect all hooks won't make it stronger or used more.

Beast of Prey is just cannibalizing Nemesis at that point.

Terriorial Imperitive is still a bad basement perk. Its only used in annoying basement builds.

I like Gearhead changes and the Coup changes.

yeah I think it is too, at least in comparison to other options, I've played a ton of survivor and killer, and have only seen retribution used like 4 out of +2,000 games, even if retribution isn't terrible, there's just better options to choose as killer, and so retribution is pretty irrelevant like how small game and hope was for survivors.

  • I really like most of the ideas, and would gladly add them if given the chance, except for furitative chase and beast of prey,

For furative chase, I'd suggest maybe giving survivors the oblivious and blindness effect after the chase is over, and a small gen repair speed penalty and would last for a max of 120 seconds, unless the killer activates another chase or you stick around a teammate for 20 seconds. Furitave chase would have a cooldown of 120/90/60 seconds. Hitting an obsession however, will grant a token and decrease your radius when outside a chase by 4 meters up to a max of 5 tokens.

As for Beast Of Prey: I suggest applying the same effect but for 16/20/24 seconds as well as revealing both the aura of the survivor who stunned you (almost like an obsession) , and the survivor furthest from you (for ambushing). This new version of Beast Of Prey would have a cool down of 60/45/30 seconds.

Forced penance is actually decent at the moment and that change would bring it overboard imo

I forgot to add that Gearhead just needs to be all skill checks then it would be great. No need to completely change it

yeah I don't really care honestly, as a Legion main, I was pretty pissy when starstruck was added because it almost completely invalidates mad grit, forced penance, and even iron grasp and agitation for best overall shoulder-carrying perk. I would welcome the change, and I play a lot of survivor now too, whatever it takes to break the current meta I'm up for it.

  • I'm a track athlete with military aspirations, so my perks might reflect that:

MOTIVATED: Completing generators, breaking totems or healing two survivors will permanently increase vault speed, unhooking speed, healing speed, by 1/ 1.5 /2% up to a maximum of 10% as well as gaining the endurance status effect for every 3 tokens.

"Closer, just a little closer, I can just taste that trophy!" - Me.

BLUNT TRAUMA: New optional objectives appear for players with B.L.T to complete to craft a trench club that can be used on killers who are holding survivors to instantly stun them.

"These Brits think this battle will be easy, but we are not so helpless. day after day, sweat after sweat, we have worked to prepare for the worst, and as we defended our trench in the past, we will do so again, come on boys, give 'em hell!" - Me

DELAYED GROUNDS: New optional objectives appear for players with D.G to complete which rewards an active ability to fortify generators, pallets, and windows that killers are unable to vault over, and must kick to destroy. Killer's kick duration is 3 / 4 / 5 seconds which buys time for players to escape or reach another set-up and continue the chase.

"The best defenses are not immovable but rather flexible enough to adapt to newer attack tactics, and as such, knowing when to retreat is crucial to our commando unit's success. You may leave in shame, but you live, you live to fight another day!" - Me

    DIFFICULTY: Hard

Erich Eckart is a defensive commando, and is no stranger to overcoming insurmountable odds. With his perks BLUNT TRAUMA and DELAYED GROUNDS, he is capable to fortifying friendly positions to delay the killer's progress, and buy time for others to escape or complete generators, and his last perk MOTIVATED rewards players for completing objectives and looking after the well being of others, although his abilities can take time to craft from completing optional objectives.

What Erich's skin might look like:

  • Date: Nurse, Sally seems beautiful to me, she has a certain feminine charm that's rare where I live, it'a very attractive to me, and I liked her old back story a lot, and minus the eugenics part, and suddenly I myself emphatizing with her a lot easier (doesn't make it right tho).

Meet-Up: Wraith, now I'm a straight guy, so no dating guys, but Wraith had a pretty tragic story to me and I can sympthatize with his tomb story as well, and he was also my first main and still is one of my favorite characters, and I'd think I'd have a sort of similar personality to him. Oh and as a bonus, it's canon that him and the Nurse are dating which is awesome for me since I'm kind of a Wraith and love the Nurse, so glad!

    • Open-Handed received buff
      • Aura readings now linger for 3/4/5 seconds
    • Up The Ante received number tweaking
      • Luck increases by 3/4/5 for each survivor

    Luck

    • Luck has received some new buffs in hopes of making it actually useful
      • Luck has a chance to make great and good skill checks give more bonus (i.e. if hit a great skill check, instead of 1% progress, it could be a 2% to 3% progress bonus)
      • Luck has a chance to not make you alert crows
      • Luck has a chance to temporarily remove your scratch marks and/or blood trails (only for like 5 seconds at most)
      • Luck gives you a more better chance to self-unhook than it previously did
      • Luck is more likely to get you a date with that special person you have a crush on

I probably over buffed Luck, but Idk.

Nono, you've got a point, I would love to see that in game!

Blood Pact has the following effects

    1. You are less likely to be the obsession.
    2. If you or the obsession are injured during the match you can see each other's auras.
    3. If either you or the obsession heal each other you both gain a 7% haste status effect until you move more than 16 meters away from each.

This perk wants to enable two survivors to group up and then stay together, but doesn't really address the sub-optimal part of that strategy, splitting up one gens is generally better than stacking up on the same.

I think they should add a 7% action speed bonus that affects everything like how resilience does, that sticks around so long as the survivors are within that 16 meter range. With this change the perk mitigates the penalty for stacking on a gen together which is the number 1 thing two survivors are going to do after healing each other whilst being conditional enough that it's unlikely it'll blow gen speeds up.

I agree, I would love to see my prey use other perks besides bt, unbreakable, ds, adrenaline, dead hard, spine chill, self-care, Iron-Will and sprint burst.

I'm glad lucky break got a buff that makes stealth relevant, and I had some ideas for Ace's perks as well, I just want to see more variety, it gets boring playing against the same perks nearly every competitive game.

  • I disagree, I've met some pro clowns who know how to effectively use the speed bottle when out of chase to actively start new ones

    • Legion can disguise himself as survivors by hitting them in feral frenzy but is forced to keep sprinting
    • Legion can teleport to lockers on a cooldown that light up in yellow when survivors are within 24 meters (can be buffed with add-ons)
    • Legion has a tier meter that builds to tier 3 "Fatal Frenzy where he can down one person by hitting them twice and then resetting it."
    • Legion can see people's auras while they're mending
    • decreased frenzy fatigue to 3.0 seconds, can be decreased to 2.0 seconds with add-ons
    • Each successful hit with feral frenzy decreases your fatigue duration by 0.5 seconds, so 4 hits would be a 2 seconds fatigue duration.
    • Legion could have the other members walk around passively (like Nemesis's zombies)
  • the second one, because turning him into 4.6 won't matter since it won't address his more pressing issues with the power itself and especially in main event which needs to stop slowing you down so much, I personally think that main event shouldn't have ANY movement speed penalty while firing since it's like Trickster's version of a Tier III.

We live on a DBD generations were survivor's are suppose to have all the information they need to win, but killer's have to guess.

We also live in a generation that Spirit is complained about, but survivor's don't complain about being mindgamed at a jungle gym which is pretty much the same thing

What? I'm a killer main but I get it, how is someone complaining about a specific killer the same as complaining about a type of loop that is universal to all killers; especially if the killer isn't using powers?

  • @onemind said:

I just got put against a full team as nurse and I'm not the best nurse but they all had iron will and I just started thinking if I was spirit theres no counter play to that

So please tell me what's the counteplay to iron will

    I'll wait

Personally since I main Legion and Ghostface, I don't really have much of an issue with Iron Will, also for my friend (she plays doctor), but below are some perks that could help you counter Iron Will from my personal experiences:

    I'm All Ears

    Spies From The Shadows

    Stridor

    Predator

    BBQ & Chili

    Nurse's Calling

    Iron Maiden

    Infectious Fright

    Dragon's Grip

    Whispers

  • As a Legion main, I am slightly offended that he was put as dead last, but hey, he's still hella fun to play as, so I'll just keep playing, btw spirit should be S tier, I know how to counter most killers, even nurse, but spirit is not one of them, she's just scary and annoying in my experience.

  • @Crowman said:

Some hex totems are in theory useful. But the fact that the hex totem being cleansed removes all effects the perk has makes them hard to justify when they are very easy to remove.

I think they should still have secondary effects or maybe just weaken it's original effects like devour hope wont let let you mori anymore, but you still walk 3% faster, or blood favor still blocks one pallet next to you after downing a survivor instead of any basic attack and multiple pallets.

  • @Hal_Renaldi said:

I actually had a dream of Yui and Felix and since then I’ve been shipping them. Haha. They’re from way to different worlds and cultures, yet, that’s why I found them incredibly attractive to ship. I suppose I dreamt about them since both are my main survs.

David and Kate also make a great couple! Opposite poles compliment each other better! I imagine Kate bringing David’s best side and him being protective over her.

Killers I truly don’t ship, it’s hard for me to do so, yet, I can see Jiwoon with Yui or Feng, asian modern culture in every side.

Well Sally Smithson and Philip Ojomo are dating, (yes the valentine was canon) so there's that which is interesting, I also considered Huntress and Trapper, since both are elite hunters, and are very strong.

  • Frank is straight though, he's dating Julie.

  • @GannTM said:

    Tapp x Huntress

    Samination I'm guessing? :D

  • Personally I prefer my mains Frank Legion, and Danny Ghostface, I know neither of them are S tier, but godamn are they fun to use, and can also be quite deadly to use when in the right hands. It's very satisfying to see a group of survivors together teabagging only to start panicking when I use madgrit or case them with feral frenzy.

I also take great pleasure in jump scaring survivors with Ghostface, and I noticed its easier to mindgame survivors with him since he has no red stain and can crouch with night shroud.

Besides, both are humans with simple masks, I like the realism they give off, it's not scary when some massive beast or unrealistic monster chases me, I like the realness of it!

  • Sally, ever since they reworked her default appearance, I've noticed a noticable increase in the size of her ass, it's like 45.45% bigger, or something.

No seriously though, they made her butt bigger which is great for me, and I guess Julie comes in 2nd.

  • Easy, teabag with Ghostface, ring Wraith's bell repeatedly, use a mad-grit unlimited power build, pretend to be AFK then kill them with bloodwarden, ask survivors if they like scary movies as Ghostface before the game, and if they say yes, then say "good, see you soon"

  • I don't get why everyone is complaining about dead hard, I mean I'm a killer main on PS4, but even I know how to use dead hard probably and only really fail like once every eleven attempts, just practice more, dead hard is easily an S tier perk when in the right hands, and so is resilience and breakout.

If you consider the fact that your chance of escaping from a solo q game is about 1-2 games out of 10, it's logically that survivors will complain. Were you on steam forums when it was flooded with killer complains? Killers were making strikes - refusing to play for days, making petitions, flooding forums and live streams with complains. Now that escape rate is far under 50%, they feel very comfortable to troll all pro-survivor posts. But solo q is now unplayable, it's a fact.

Not necessarily, I still do ok in solo queue, and I'm a killer main, just relax and try to adapt your playstyle to what you see fit for your situation, or better yet, jsut keep changing it up every once in a while.

  • Mad Grit: I don't give up easily, especially if multiple people turn against me

Fixated: I walk faster than most folk for free exercise

Resilience: I've won 1st plenty of times in the 200 and 1500 whilst injured.

Save the best for last: I'm a huge procrastinator and tend to do everything except what I need to (ignores obsession).

Sprint Burst: 4.4 seconds is my 40 yard dash PR

I'm All Ears: You know how many times I've overheard people say both good and bad things about me?

No One Escapes Death: I'm a massive procrastinator, I pulled three all-nighters in a row but at what cost?

  • @QwQw said:

I'm pretty sure the devs confirmed that killers stay in their own realm when outside of a trial. Either that or they get tortured by The Entity if they failed to kill the survivors from the previous trial.

As far as I know, the only killers that are allowed to interact with each other outside of a trial are the four members of The Legion, and Victor and Charlotte.

Also don't forget that Philip and Sally also crossed realms too at the Father's St Chapel on Valentine's day and found love together, devs said it was canon, but I can no longer find the clip, so yeah at least there's a couple now so killer's moving around might be possible.

  • Probably yes, I think it would be more dependent on which killer we're discussing, now obviously we have Philip and Sally meeting each other at Father Campbell St Chapel to date and be each other's valentine's (devs said it's canon yeah?), Legion members hang out in between trals, and Blight experimented on all the killers, so maybe it's possible that he put some of them together when capturing them?

Idk, I just think that Lisa, Max Jr, Huntress, an demogorgon probably wouldn't be allowed to interact with other killers since they are all very territorial,

  • Personally I like going for more of a rp build but don't worry it's still pretty good:

Better Together: Kinda like in movies where you whisper to someone "over here" to get them to help you out

Kindred: It is a god-tier perk for solo queue since it provides so much information

Windows Of Opportunity: Having that makes me feel like a protagonist in Until Dawn having to hit quick-time events

As for the fourth perk, it changes a lot but here are some fourth options I like to run:

    Borrowed Time: to save others

Left Behind: Stay alive, if it's a horror movie where people die, you'll want to be the last one standing

Dead-Hard: Amazing for loopers and can chain chases together, easily S tier

decisive strike: In case you get tunneled.

Desperate Measures: Can come in clutch if everyone is injured

Diversion &/or deception: Both make me feel like I'm a protagonist in a videogame; especially when they actually work (BF1 as an example)

Self-Care: You can't always rely on others, so use it if you have an extra med-kit.

Plunderer's Instinct: I like to go treasure hunting with Ace from time to time.

Resilience: Gives a small boost in everything, it's one of my favorite perks to be honsst.

And lastly, Soul Guard: Is always fun to gain an extra health state after healing, and makes me feel pretty cool when I get up from the ground because they have a hex totem, it's like I'm Rambo!

  • @Friendly_Blendette said:

We know time isn't the same in DBD and it could be him taken from before he got sent into the void. It would make the True Blight skin make sense. It would probably be the closest we could get to having Vigo as a survivor since he doesn't actually escape. I think we need more diversity in survivors as they all seem to be from relatively recent times. I think that it would also make an intresting dynamic for him to go against the monster he would eventually turn himself into.

Bro that sounds like such a cool idea, I'd be down for that, finally we'd have a hooded survivor, besides I can easily think of a sort blight perk where he gets blight sticks to use on himself with a token system after being in a terror radius or performing a altruisitc action, or maybe finding it in chests or unique areas.

  • @chargernick85 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/237190/killers-win-too-much

If you died half as much as you claim you would not be in red ranks. Enough with this. The problem may lie with you being laurie she might be bad luck I know they always seem to die in my trials.

Oh yeah I hate Lauries and Feng Min's, which is a shame because I actually really like Laurie, but the types of people I tend to compete against using her are some pretty awful people (cue the toxic post-game messages and teabagging etc).

  • This system's alright, I haven't been playing any PS4 games a whole lot recently, but as Ghostface I was matched up a lot against rank 5's with and rank 4's with a dash 9-12 here and there in each group, who are pretty good at the game.

But yet I still 4k'd them. EVERY. SINGLE TIME. I literally 11 games in a row as my rank 9 Ghostface (rank reset pushed me back). It's confusing because I didn't pip much since the survivors were still really good, like the gens would be popping really fast, but then I down everyone and win, and none of us get more than 27,000 bp without offerings which is sad.

I still the think the system's doing a pretty job skill-matching wise, it's why I', barely pipping and gaining bp, but at the same time, I also just won 11 games in a row (all 4k's), so idk, I'm open to hear suggestions.

Hillbilly: Yeehaw Boy (If Proxy chat exists, I'd play intense banjo music )

Deathslinger: Yeehaw Man (You've yeeth ur last haw)

Nurse: The Angel of Mercy & Waifu in Black (She's very pretty, especially in her wedding dress! :D)

Hag: The Starving Lady (Donate one dollar to Africa and that may change)

Huntress: The leg (You like leg?)

Pyramid Head: Pee-pee head, and E-Guy (Girls simp for him hard)

Clown: Some fat bozo, "Finger Licking Good", and "Finger-Fetish man".

Plague: The Simp Queen, (her fandom is horrible :( ), or "she look good from a distance", or even "I'm not trying to gain weight".

  • Wraith was my first killer so he's always one of my favorites, but with the new upgrade, his chase potential is even lower than before and so I play him anymore without reappearance add-ons, I still think a second ability would be great, but other than running fast, I can't play Wraith the way I used to, I can't chase people as much especially on in-door maps.

  • As characters: Feng Ming and Elodie

As players: Feng, Nea, Claudette, toxic little shitheads that I enjoy killing more because of their clicking, teabagging, sandbagging, and everything I hate about this game despite me loving me more than I hate it. My favorites are Adams, Felixs's, Tapps, and Jakes though, those guys are normally pretty chill or even Kate. I respect players who are more altruistic without the whole toxic part, but yeah ######### Feng.

  • Solo Queue:

    Survivors

Ace Visconti : Resilience, No Mither, Unbreakable, and dead hard. (Tool Box)

Jake Park: Botany Knowledge, Desperate Measures, Mettle Of Man, and WGLF. (Medkit)

David King: Borrowed Time, WGLF, Mettle of man, and For the People.

    Killers:

Frank Morrison: Dark Devotion, Nemesis, Tinkerer, and PWYF. (I have a fantasy where I play him like how I saw him in his trailer)

Danny Johnson: Ruin, I'm all ears, Iron Grip, and STBFL.

Pyramid Head: Agitation, Iron Grip, Mad Grit, and Discordance.

Sally Sweet Smithson: Infectious Fright, Blood Warden, NOED, and Thanataphobia.

  • Prove Thyself, Better together, left behind, and either dead hard or kindred, or in other cases plunderer's instinct, ace in the hole, borrowed time, and left behind.

  • I generally love rift challenges to get extra perks, tombs, and charms because it makes it feel like there's a sort of campaign to the game, and I can get really immersed easily by trying to think or act like whoever or whatever it asks me to.

Now with that being said, there are some challenges that are super annoying like the Legion one "Deadly Maiden" where you catch someone hiding in a locker using Iron Maiden.

Sounds easy right? NO! I'm rank 5 and almost no one at my rank hides in lockers that often (11+ games and Iron Maiden didn't trigger a single time and still counting).

But yeah, I still the rift as a whole, but there are definitely are some challenges that hinder me or are just ridiculously difficult to complete within 1 -3 games.

Would you all buy survivor if they made 1 as NOT OTZDARVA? Great idea? Imagine that ...would be awesome sales would be sooooooo high devs should reach out to him

Yes, yes I would, I would pay 10$ just to play as him, and as far as perks, I'm guessing with his playstyle they would either be information, or maneuvering perks and award you extra bp for "dodging a killer's attack (i.e the killer misses an attack within 3 meters of you). The list of potential perks could go on and on and I'm a big fan of him and so are my friends although most of them don't use the forums unfortunately. :(

  • Probably because their probably entitled, don't take em seriously if you wanted to save your friend, let me walk away first, don't fricken unhook right away; especially without bt that's just begging to be tunneled,

But hey, keep your head up, killers might not be able to play together in their games but a lot of us still have the same/similar issues with stuff like this, you're not alone.

Who knows maybe one day they'll even add a 2 v 8 game mode to pair killers up, then finally we could a gasp of fresh air, have a good one!

But you don't know if they are SWF, I've been waiting in lobby with other solo's and literally 3 killers and come and go with no flashlights or anything.

Proves my point more. You don't know if you left a non toxic group of solos to join a game of toxic SWF.

I think because atm survivors are waiting in lobby before a killer is in there so they see a group of 3 or 4 and just leave.

It's adding extra waiting time for literally no reason.

"no reason", no dude, my pig man literally explained ourselves to you, now i'm sorry if people disconnect when it's a solo, but you have to understand that the stress that some swfs bring just isn't fun, it's just unnecessarily stressful, there's a reason why your queues are so long, it's because killers are far and few between; much less someone closer to what rank could be, and stress is a big factor in that, toxicity is killing this game.

If you're getting to the point where you rely on bloodlust every chase you get in you should quit the game.

You obviously didn't really read what I said, I said bloodlust is important for those times you face a god looper, other times not so much, also why are you being toxic for? Maybe if you actually pay attention to what I'm saying you wouldn't being saying stupid ######### like that, damn this game really does have a ######### community.

Why should you be handed a down because you don’t know how to counter a loop?

You realize that half of killer is hoping that the survivor makes a mistake right? You ever try rank one pc swfs as a console player trying to loop you for ages while the other three genrush, ngl those types of games are just stressful, the least they could do help me move slightly faster to get one down because that first hook is vital, without it, you pretty much lose since people go back to gens after you leave for 0.5 seconds. I'm a good killer, but I'm not amazing, we can't all be pros, all it takes is one great looper and they get a easy win.

  • I personally really like Sally's tomb, except for the whole eugenics part which always struck me as very out of character, I thought she was merciful in a deadly way, hell she even gently brushes the survivor's head after they die, and with her husband, I always thought she was filled with grief and pain from her experiences in the Asylum, and so she felt need the need to put everyone to rest and purify the place of it's suffering, and let all their souls rest. (Even if she took their breath in the process).

I guess you could say that she's breathtaking, she's like a nymph, blink and she'll disappear, but gawk for too long, and she'll quite literally take your breath away! A sort of deadly kind of beauty no? :D

    Yeah I'm tired, goodnight everyone!

  • Macklemore or Logic, because both have very iconic outfits, and are about average height anyway.

yeah I agree and then remove bloodlust and I think the chases will be a lot more skill based and the game will feel a lot more fair.

No dude, keep the bloodlust, if there was no bloodlust, then I really wouldn't be winning games against god-tier loopers on double t-walls, it'd just be an infinite for me, I don't get how bloodlust is unfair, it's just there to help shorten chases if it goes on for too long.

  • Honestly though I love original killers because their limits are endless, the last two (blight and twins were pretty underwhelming), I mean I love blight as killer, he's really fun, but it's a shame that I barely see twins nor blight, and I don't like twins that much, I guess the point is that original killer are great i concept, but their executions as of late are very poor, and the their pick-rates reflect that.

  • I think my favorite perks you gave out were stay of execution, and absolute focus, although I'm unsure if stay of execution would work in higher ranks since people love borrowed time, and with absolute focus, I would totally run this perk in solo queue to rush gens since others are probably hiding or rescuing each other, and not being able to hear the terror radius makes it scarier for me when I'm on gens which is a plus! Great perk concepts, although I think they're better off being universal perks, not attached to a specific character.

  • No Mither, Self Care, For The People, and This Is Not Happening, super OP dude, they need to nerf that ASAP< everytime I use that build, I always win, NO CAP!

  • Killer: "The Game" and the preschool, the game has like four god pallets and there are two pallets next to the basement when it's in a corner of the map, words cannot express my frustration with how many fricken pallets and great loops there are upstairs as well.

As for the preschool, its hard to pinpoint anything in particular, but it feels like the windows and pallets are just at the right distance for survivors to get to when your forced to break a pallet only for them to go one of the 20+ pallets and 50 windows waiting for you, and I don't have bamboozle lol.

Survivor: the preschool and Madwitch Elementary, I hate the preschool, I hate the lack of pallets at the school's entrance but there are sometimes two gens there that are easy to patrol, but then there's other times where those gens don't next to each other and I get a free win that I didn't work very hard for. As for the elementary, I hate those long narrow hallways that allow killers to see you from so far away and it's harder to 360 people in them as well, also I still never figured out where hatch spawns there as well.
