I don't they should be designing characters with their ethnicity being their primary trait. IMO they should come up with interesting concepts for characters, not forcing in boring characters for diversity points.
Adam is a good character not because he is black, but because of his backstory. A selfless orphan who has a passion for teaching others and moved to a foreign land because he was infatuated with their culture.
and whatever Jake is
Korean American.
I still think they should elaborate on Jake Park's story, the fact we don't really know what he really is compared to Adam Francis who is a newer character is just sad. #ShowJakeLove

Jake is all of those things and more. Why isn’t he fulfilling all of your dreams?
As a Jake main, I only mained him in the beginning because he's the closest thing I have to a pacific islander mixed guy, well that and he loves nature which is cool, but if I didn't know Jake, he could easily pass for native or Mexican if I wasn't paying attention, but with Yui I can tell immediately that she's Asian, I still Jake doesn't look very Korean to me to be honest, but hey, I'm still maining him and Ace tho.

Nazis did that all on their own, though. It's like saying puppy murderers are victims of media propaganda that made them synonymous with terrible people.
I mean, the whole point of the first response was to clarify that "Nazi" isn't a self-imposed term, and I'm glad their called nazis, they did terrible things, and no I'm not victimizing them, I can respect the wehrmacht as the army, but SS, Gestapo, SA, and puppet-state police were true nazis, and they really showed it with how they treated innocent civilians.
Holy crap I just realized I'm talking about ww2 again from the smallest of topics on something completely unrelated lol, but I'm glad I talked about it again, it only reaffirms my positioning against them.

It's still what they're known as, because the full name is disingenuous. This goes right to what I said before, about extremists being dishonest by nature.
That's the thing though, the term "Nazi" propaganda and luckily, since we won we've kept it up ever since, the term "nazi" in my opinion, is still one of the greatest pieces of media propaganda in my opinion, their writers did a great job in making iconic and infamous an synonymous with being terrible human beings.

Define, precisely and explicitly, a way in which an LGBT character could be added that you wouldn't feel was "forced".
PS: You can say Nazism, there's no need to use the fully red herring name they gave themselves.
I just realized what you said, the nazis didn't really call themselves nazis, that was the British Empire at the time, and obviously the U.S, the nazi is a derogatory term to their movement basically meaning peasant, or a stupid & clumsy person, (both were thought to be similar at the time.

And I said social issues are a form of character development. Social activists exist, you know. Look at Yui.
I think somewhere on this forum, I did write a lot about Yui so I won't get into that again, but there is line with social issues although it more so varies on how it's written and it's tone, with Yui she was a feminist IN JAPAN, which is already very brave on it's own, and the way they represented female stalking and sexual harassment when she fought her stalker was brilliant, it was captivating, Yui is an example of being able to right about social issues without it being forced. Even Rin covers this when she gets bullied by boys for being good at kendo and she ends up killing them at the end, and agian, Caleb with old capitalism and why monopolies are dangerous.

So gay characters who are drag queens or conform to LGBTQ+ stereotypes would be "forced"? Is that what you're saying here? Would a feminine gay man feel more "forced" than a masculine, straight-passing one?
(As for the examples, I'm not familiar with them so I won't comment).
No dude, I mean being overly stereotyped, you could still hold some stereotypes for fun, but if they hold all of them, then that's becomes their defining trait, like its kinda unrelated, but Troy in "Community" starts out as jock who makes friends with Abed (a stereotypical nerd), but as time passes and becomes clear that Abed would be getting more development than Troy, Jeff Winger literally says "Your identity as a man, is defined by your friendship, with another man." What is it with you guys always trying to dumb down everything I say, like dang I could write a paragraph and someone just responds to 1/3 of what I said.

So now let's wait and see which the devs go with before judging, alright?
Also, social issues can be a part of character development. People get involved with social issues all the time. It just sounds like you don't like social issues to be mentioned at all.
I know social issues are ok, I said "focusing MORE" on social issues than character development, I didn't say you can't talk about them, just make sure you're actually writing the character for the character, and not an agenda by the end of it.

Being LGBT in and of itself isn't political. Taking rights away from a certain group because they're a certain way IS political. Not treating everyone equally despite being put into different categories is political.
If you don't care SSSOOOO much, then why are you even here?
Originally I came to clarify someone's thought, then I got dragged into something else

Being LGBT is not political per se. I'm not making any political statement by liking girls. I just like them, full stop.
If LGBT people attend rallies or ask for rights that they as LGBT people don't have (let's say gay marriage, for example), it's because their countries do not grant them those rights solely for being LGBT. In my country a couple of lesbians can get married. In other countries they can not. So they ask for those rights.
That does not mean that being LGBT is "being political". One must ask for one's rights when they are not granted to oneself. But no one wakes up and decides "hey, I'm going to be LGBT" to make a political statement. You just are. Politics come afterwards, when your country makes your life more difficult solely for being LGBT.
There are het characters in this game. There should be non-het ones, too, imo. It's not as if you're gonna loop the killer around the map carrying a huge ass LGBT flag. It's gonna be mentioned in the lore. They will mention that, for example, the girl used to live with her girlfriend before the entity took her away. The same way they mentioned David & Felix's girlfriends. That's it. And if you have a problem with this, you are LGBTphobic, full stop. I'm not telling you to change what you think. Just to admit what you are instead of trying to hide it between bullshit statements about LGBT = politics, or about it potentially hurting the game by driving people away from it.
Doesn't that prove my point though, if being LGBTQ weren't political, then there would be no rallies, yeah it's true America's come a long way but it isn't perfect, being gay is just as political as being coloured, it might always happen right away, but there gonna be plenty of times where you are confronted about it, or shamed for it, other than the WNBA, I don't know any other place where Straight people have to fight for rights the same way as gays, and as far the lore you mentioned, I'd be perfectly ok with that, I forgot that they only BRIEFLY mentioned David's girlfriend, see like that, it works just fine that fine and vice versa.

Alright here's an example, having the person be a drag queen and fit and all/most gay stereotypes with a poorly written character description that focuses on more addressing social issues rather than character development, consider Adrian in "The mist", he's a bi boy with the least amount of character development compared to the other main characters and yet he's the sexualized one sexually assaulting a boy that bullied him and ######### his girl best friend at found in the end, he felt really sexualized, it felt wrong. Now consider Robin from Stranger things, or the teacher from the one Kevin Hart movie about him getting a GED, both are gay, both have some character development, both are funny, and both help advance the plot of the story, and being gay isn't their defining traits, it's just their orientation, which is fine by me, as long as the character development is there.

When you say "BFV's opening trailer literally had a Scottish woman with a prosthetic arm as their lead trailer character, that's just ridiculous" that doesn't sound like they're going overboard at all. It sounds like they're being realistic when it comes to soldiers.
.............. You must not know a whole about WW2 do you? There was Title IX at the time, the only female soldiers you had would of been French, Russian, or German in 1945, but moving away from gender, look at the British commando with a JAPANESE katana on his back (it should be in a sheath) fighting on the western front. That doesn't make any sense, and if I remember right, he was wearing shades like bruh, at least they got The Last Tiger though, they still humanized the Germans while exposing the SS's cruelty towards not just civilians, but the Wehrmacht too.

Literally NOTHING you're saying is at all relevant or written in a coherent manner. LGBTQ+ identities are not inherently political and treating them as such IS homophobic.
I think the reason you're failing to "fully understand" is because you've completely misconstrued all of my points and twisted the conversation to be about something completely unrelated. We're talking about LGBTQ+ representation IN DEAD BY DAYLIGHT, not American politics.

IF they end up screwing it up we can all get our pitchforks, but until then we should assume they are doing it fine - based on their previous work in lore and designs.

Who cares? If it bothers you that much don't buy the chapter, it's not like a gay character is gonna ruin the game or have actual catch phrases to insult your beliefs while in the game , it's honestly nonsense that people are upset about this when there is so much more to be upset about with the game
Oh I won't, I've got no money, but I still want perks, and yes, I care, a lot of my friends that don't have forums do, and it's apparent there are lot of quiet people on these forums that think so too, but aren't willing to say out loud. And it's not ruining the game, it's the idea that a videogame is being politicized, both for left and/or right, and I already said that I don't care if a gay character is added to someone else here, just don't politicize them, maybe heavily their gay and touch on gay people's issues using the character's story, like how Yui is a front for women's issues, but they still painted her to be a real character that doesn't feel forced, and that can everyone can sympathize with, and they can do that for a gay character too. I mean, Robin in Strangers Things is one of my favorite characters ans she's gay but that doesn't matter, she still had great character development which hit the jackpot for me.

Many people just ask for any LGBT representation, no explicit one. Just making it like the heterosexual stuff already present.
or they are asking for just not getting explicitly excluded.
Then yes, I agree with you, a gay character should be added, I think folks like me were just concerned they were gonna add a drag queen as the representative of all gay folks, when most gays I know look normal (i.e little to no makeup), and the reason? Being gay isn't their defining trait, and the devs accidentally doing that is what some people like me are thinking might happen, but if they can pull a Yui and just HEAVILY imply their gay, then that's fine, more power to gays, and hopefully some bomb perks while they're at it.

Nurse, David, Felix, Frank and Julie. Then there are Wraith and Ace were it is heavily implied as well.
all of them have had confirmed straight relationships, why should the mere mentioning of eanything LGBT be excluded?
That's the thing though, that's not what a lot of people are asking for, they want a character that is explicitly LGBTQ, the difference is with the some the characters you mentioned like David and Ace, is that it's implied; not confirmed nor denied, which is why both of them still have gay fandom for gays that are into that. A lot of characters might have silly outifts, but that is because they are OUTFITS, not defaults, I mean the closest modern political character I can think of in Dbd is Yui because she fought against what her father wanted her to do, ultimately did what she wanted, which is more important in the end. She wears pink as the color of her women's empowerment group (the colour of feminism), beats up a deadly stalker (another real women's issue), and if even painted as brave and determined even without a partner (she's a strong, independent woman). Also remember, Yui is Japanese and up until recently, Japan was easily a conservative country; like all around, so in real time it was likely that a lot of people wouldn't like her because she goes against the norms. But with her story is portrayed, it doesn't really feel forced, hers is like an artist splotching circles to make a custom picture, what people here SEEM to want though, is the devs going out to the store to buy a picture themselves because they don't want a custom picture.

As a neutral, I swear if I see another politicised sjw or right-wing character, I am going to lose it, it's a video game, this is why there is fandom so that eveyrone can be happy, just have the drag queen design as a skin, not the default, the others have to buy it to look different, why not them also?

Because "just use your imagination" doesn't really cut it as far as representation.
Then fine, start specifying that David is more than likely straight since he'd more than likely beat people or chastize them for being gay, or just because Yui is a feminist then doesn't mean she's gay, I mean, as a straight person I always see how holes like that in fanfic, but that's why it's fanfic no one cares, your just allowed to believe in whatever you want and everyone can be happy without having a "truth" shoved down your throat because it's "canon".
-
I don't get it, whatever happened to just letting the fans decide who's gay, straight or whatnot, and who's coupled with who? I mean sure we have Nurse and Wraith, but about the fandom that Nea and/or Yui are lesbians? Or David being gay? Because if we get an original character with a lgbtq background as their defining trait then perhaps it's time to start confirming everyone elses, even if dare I say, they are straight. Dang man, let the fandom decide, let us us our imagination.

Hers is different, it just seems cool and ties into her perks that make her sound like a revolutionary like "For the People" with her waving a flag and being very altruistic and putting herself in danger, and even Caleb's backstory is very political as well. Intentional or not, Caleb was a victim of the discrimination against the Irish of his time, as well as living under the perils of old-capitalism where monopolies and design copies mad it difficult to advance most basic businesses like a machine shop as an example. Luckily, we live in a much better time now, but at least Zarina reminds us of the alternative, and Caleb reminds us that not to be so sensitive and be aware of how people are a product of their environment.

Isn't Jane Mexican though? I think that would fit her culture like how Yui has a cultural outfit too, that's not just a costume, that's related to their belief in the dead (the day of the dead I think?), so no that's not the same thing, although I see what you were trying to go for.

You just said that you'd be okay with it if it were gay, lesbian, bi, trans and it was part of their backstory. Which is it? Okay, or not okay?
The point he's probably trying to make is that wouldn't be satisfying for him since he wouldn't connect, I mean, I don't really play girl characters that often unless a challenge appears, not because I hate women because I do love women, but I also like playing character that I can connect with more like for me that's Jake and Ace as an example. Also I might be a little "homophobic" according to this thread, but it wouldn't it be better if the character's sexualities weren't specified but allowed fans to have their fiction, like I know Davida has tons of gay fanfiction but also allows straight people to enjoy him more without fully knowing he's gay, so everyone's happy, they have their own lore.

Where was it confirmed that the survivor was a Drag Queen? And even if they were, why would that be ridiculous? Do Drag Queens not exist? Why couldn’t they be in the game? There’s also a ton of Drag Queen streamers and I’m sure they’d love to have a survivor they can fully identify with. A lot of people like to feel immersed in the game they’re playing and one way for that to happen is to feel like you are the character.
It always makes me chuckle when people say stuff like “I’m not racist” and “I’m not against the LGBT” but then go on to post things like this.
So you’re okay with survivors running around in Christmas onesies, dressed as a Christmas present, hoodies with bunny ears and puppet hands, but you draw the line at ‘crazy’ make-up and fake eyelashes? Seems suspicious to me. 🙊
I think he means just have the drag queen design as a skin, not the default, the thing is the ridiculous outfits for others are all skins that need shards/auric cells, but if this character is a drag queen by default then yes it would be a little ridiculous, and if that sounds homophobic, then maybe I am and i never noticed.

Fake Out:
Activate-able Perk.
You use unexpected tactics to evade and mess with the Killer. When Vaulting, quickly turn around and go back to avoid danger.
• Press the Active Ability button while Vaulting a Pallet or Window to turn around halfway through.
• After the turn the proceeding Vault will be a Fast Vault on Pallets or a Medium Vault on Windows.
Fake Out has a cooldown of 90/75/60 seconds.
Ambush & Strike:
You surprise your target and take advantage of them being unprepared.
Successful Basic Attacks on Survivors not in or during the first 5 seconds of a chase reduces their On-hit Sprint movement speed increase by 50%.
Ambush & Strike goes on cooldown after 5 seconds of a chase beginning, a successful Basic Attack, or a missed Basic Attack.
Ambush & Strike has a cooldown of 60/45/30 seconds.
Nothing like looking up 10 different perks to make sure I got the wording good enough for these.
Bro I love that perk, that would so good on Wraith, Ghost Face and Plague! I really hope they add yours in!
-
Now this is one of the perks from two perk concepts I had for a WW1 German soldier and a North Vietnamese soldier idea for dbd as survivors
Perk: Delayed Grounds
As the years of the Great War came to pass, you've grown used to making the best of bad situations in retreating and maneuvering by helping to delay the enemy from advancing for as long as possible with traps and wire. "Sweat now, and we'll bleed less later!" - Derek Manstein.
Perk Effects: After speed vaulting a pallet or window in a chase, reinforce that object and block it from the killer with tanks taps and barbed wire for 10/15/20 seconds and you can still vault it yourself and will be protected by it when a killer would normally hit/grab you from a window. However your fort doesn't directly come from the entity and so the killer can actually break the tank traps like a pallet to ignore the duration, but doing so takes 4 seconds instead of the usual 2.6 seconds for pallets, and can be stacked onto a pallet to waste a killer's time for about 7 seconds overall if the killer chooses to break Delayed Grounds early. Delayed grounds has a cool down of 140/120/100 seconds.
An alternative way/third way the perk can be activate if by working on a gen for 60/50/40 seconds and gives you an active ability to bar off the gen with barbed wire and mini tank traps for as long as the killer doesn't break it, but you can't a repair gen that's barred, and only someone with delayed grounds or the killer can get rid of the bars to work on it again but doing so creates a loud noise notification that reveals your location to the killer for 8 seconds. A player unbarring a gen takes 10 seconds, a killer unbarring it only takes 4 seconds.
On another note, it's worth noting that Derek's iron doesn't directly come from the entity and so gens that are barred from Delayed Grounds will still regress with ruin,
As for counters, perks like bamboozle, spirit fury, hex: ruin, and brutal strength can all counter Delayed Grounds. Bamboozle because they can't use Delayed Grounds if the perk is already blocked, spirit fury because that removes the pallet before Derek can vault over it to activate it, hex: Ruin because the iron won't stop regression, and brutal strength because at max level, brutal strength will destroy Delayed Ground in 2.8 seconds. (30% of 4 seconds is 2.8),
Another downside, is that having the killer break down Delayed Grounds manually also causes you to become the obsession, this perk also increases your chance to become the obsession.
Here's an idea of what the perk's picture might look like:
-
I mean, I'm kinda disappointed that Sally isn't going to be a survivor and possibly Yui as killer, but hey, that's ok, I'll just keep using other characters, ya'll just don't know how long I've been waiting for the Legion to have survivor skins or be unique survivors themselves with their masks and an extra skin without them, but hey k-pop's alright I guess.

The perks I use for metal of men is lucky brack, iron well and self heal. You take a hit for a survivor and run away.than self heal or if you have a med kit it would be faster to heal and have more charge in med kit because of self heal.
Or desiseve strike, unbreakable, sole gard and metal of men. Get in the why of a killer when hes chasing hurt survivor and let him hit two times two the ground a chans he well keep chasing the survivor than ues sole gard and unbreakable what until the right moment if the killer is geting loop be the the survivor recover in his face and get a nother metal of men hit. If he picks up hopefully some one gets you off the hook take I hit for the survivor if hurt so you can use ds the you get a nother protect hit if not hopefully you still have unbreakable or cerst by a hexs you can get up.this build is risky.
Here's a nother build metal of men, brack out, unbreakable or flip flop and the one perk that gives you 50% Carling speed and recover while moving.
Get a tool bucks with a sabitoch speed up equipped and go right under the hook when a survivor is getting carried to the hook and take a hit right after brack the hook then crawl far away and recover. And a chans for the survivor to get away and you if you play it right.
This take practice. Good luck.
Thanks man, appreciate it, I never thought of those builds but those sounds really powerful when use properly, I look forward to it!

Ya that's pretty over powered I did my own version of buckle up buff I posted. but metal of men is good where its at ,still make good plays with metal of men. And flip flop mady buff it from 50% to 60% but 100% that's to much.
My version of a buckle up buff was was to keep the ability the same but add one where you get some up out of the dieing state you get healed or you ignore the dieing state when hit for 10 seconds. Think that would make sense with ash sense it can help with metal of man plays.
Bro that would make buckle up so much better, almost like bt but for the dying state, but would conflict with soul guard or double it's effects? But if the person you heal is healed to full health then I'm not sure if they'd give buckle up a cool down because while that sounds good, it also kinda sounds op in swf, idk I guess maybe buckle up needs a big overhaul then.

I agree but metal of men I really have no problem with I make metal of men plays a lot. Ones I had two metal of men plays in one game.
Teach me your ways, I almost never get to use it in solo queue since i'm stuck doing gens when others won't which is frustrating because I actually like this perk but never really get to use it unless I'm in a swf.

Legion: Give a unique chase/ feral frenzy theme: watch Mr. Envy for example. And gain 2.5%/5%/7.5/10% movement speed boost for each survivor you hit while in feral frenzy and you lose 0.5 seconds on your feral frenzy fatigue for each successful hit (max hits = 2 second cooldown instead of 4, and 1 second cooldown from three would make Legion even better).
Wraith: passively hear bells in the distance that sound similar to Wraith's bell but not exactly the same just to mess with survivors while they're doing gens so kinda like bell clapper and hear deathly whispers when with 5 meters from a cloaked Wraith (again just to scare players that their time has come).
Clown: Hear an accordion as his terror radius
Billy: INTENSE BANJO NOISES and he says "You've yee'th yer last haw!" whenever he chainsaws someone.

The suggested Mettle of Man change would be way, way too powerful. Bear in mind that even in its current state, the problem is SOLELY that taking 3 protection hits in one match is very unlikely to happen. The actual effect, entirely ignoring one of the Killer's attacks, is crazy powerful.
The Buckle Up change is the best out of all of these, but it doesn't really solve the Perk's problems, just throws more buffs at it. (Personally, what I would want is if you heal a downed Survivor at all, they gain Buckle Up as a visible buff on their HUD, allowing them to pick themselves up from that Dying State if they need to)
Flip Flop would essentially be an infinite-use Unbreakable. In fact, if you comboed it with Unbreakable, you could very easily gain the benefits of the 35% increased recovery speed without needing to actually consume Unbreakable. Sure, it doesn't let you pick yourself up, but that doesn't matter at all if the Killer physically can't pick you up without being stunned and you escaping, which is precisely what would happen if 100% progress is converted over. Not only that, but Killers would respond by quite literally slugging Survivors until they bleed out on the floor, because that's their only way to respond to this version of the Perk.
I'm all for buffing Ash's perks and shaking up the overly rigid Survivor perk meta, but some of these suggestions are being made without serious consideration for the game's resulting balance.
Well I guess when you put it like that the new m.o.m would be op, so maybe just two protection hits instead just so solo que players can still use it more often, but I still the think the tokens would be a good idea,.
As for Buckle Up, I guess that perk will always be a little more weak than the other two unless it got a massive overhaul, and I'm not entirely sure I understand what you are trying to say but if you're saying that your flip-flop gives you a free unbreakable, then maybe it could work but I suggestion to add to yours is keep my buffs, add your buff, but then reduce flip-flop's radius to either 24/28/32 meters or 16/20/24 meters. I'm unsure which meter suggestion to use but what I am sure of is that buckle up would easily become a borderline meta perk with this new rework which would be nice to see some different perks be use
At last for flip-flop, maybe it would be, so I guess it should go 50%/60%/70% instead, so that it still has to be paired up with tenacity if your next to a hook, and/or unbreakable to get that progress up faster (this wouldn't fix it's perk pairing reliance issue though), and I'd still want to keep it's wiggle timer reduction of 4%/8%/12% just to buff it a bit, and if not then give it to boil over as a true counter to Iron Grip.

This Mettle of Man will be heavily abused, with no counterplay... just imagine killer carrying survivor, who blocks the hook.
Killer is forced to hit, then survivor sabotages hook, but still has full health.
Like... mettle of men needed 3 unhooks, to be active and it was too powerful... and you give it only a cooldown of 80 seconds...
Buckle up... still weak, usually when you heal someone from the dying state, he is already mostly done.
Flip flop...
Ugh...
- 50% of maximum with 100% conversion will make it already pretty strong for anti slug builds, the problem with 100% conversion is that, it will be insane with a perk, that allows you to throw pallets, while being carried.
- Decrasing overall wiggle time will create many dead spots, where killer can just look at you while you are bleeding out, on some maps such dead spots already happen. This effect alone will make any perk straghtforward broken
Although I'd suggest mad grit as a direct counter to mettle of man, it is still unreliable since there's no guarantee that someone would even bring m.o.m, although it'd be impossible for a survivor to sabotage hook since they would still be interrupted and I think that m.o.m being op now is pretty questionable, as a rank 6 killer, I have only seen someone use m.o.m four times vs me seeing adrenaline, bt, or ds nearly every single game, and I have Ash myself, but it certainly doesn't feel op, it kinda feels under-powered if anything, it's too much punishment for a such reward especially if someone is downed next to a hook,
Also my idea for the cool down was to keep it somewhat close to "by any means necessary" and dead hard; allowing someone to be flexible but also not having it active at the same time as others, and gens regularly take 80 seconds anyway, at least by yourself (which is the optimal strat for higher ranks). Besides, that single protection hit probably won't stop the killer from hooking them, not unless the hooks are far away or everyone bodyblocks but then no one would be doing gens and just gets injured so it kinda balances out in a sense.
As a killer main, I would see something besides the meta perks be used, m.o.m could b one of them.
As for buckle up, I know it's still kinda weak, but the whole point was to keep the perks at least somewhat balanced when put together and with the buff I'd give buckle up is I intend for people to use buckle up bravely; specifically against slugging killers which I understand can be annoying if done unnecessarily. I suppose though, making buckle up a kindred for downed survivors in a 10/15/20 meter range could be an interesting buff, but I also kept the healing speed somewhat low so that it doesn't overshadow WGLF from David which is not what I want nor intend.
Lastly for Flip-Flop, that's the point, it's supposed to be a lot more powerful than right now and heavily punish killers who love slugging and hopefully make boil over relevant in the process, and the wiggle time decrease is to help counter Iron Grip and again (make boil over a relevant pairing without making boil over obsolete).
Another thing, the name of the perk where you drop pallets while being held is called Power Struggle from Elodie and the thing is, with the way power struggle is designed and how it pairs up with the current flip-flop, you still get to drop pallets you stay around if you recovered for even a short amount time with unbreakable (again that takes up 3 perk slots for it to work properly).
So I honestly don't see it being op flip flop doesn't make you recover faster nor does give you the ability to fully recover from dying state: it still needs to be paired with at least one other perk to reach most of it's potential, but not needing three anymore which was just ridiculous and a meme build I almost never saw on higher ranks. So no, I don't think this flip flop is op; especially when compared to the survivor meta which can easily be used individually without pairing other perks together like DS or unbreakable, which although they can synergize with others, are still extremely powerful on their own, and can still be abused regularly by players of any skill level.
At last over all, the main point of the rework idea is to actually make Ash's perks relevant and not be meme perks in no-mither builds or wiggle builds, as a killer main, i am so sick and tired of seeing the same perks because it makes this game feel so repetitive, I have plenty of buffs for killer and survivors perks alike, I think its bout time the other perks get some love, and not just nerfing the actual meta perks into the ground. Hope this helps, thanks for reading!

It can stay bad for the pain it caused.
No dude, no perks for either killer nor survivor should purposely be bad because then pushes everyone to just use meta perks which is annoying and repetitive, even slippery meat could have a nice rework if they just bothered to change it up a bit.

IMO, change it to be powerful but only once per match with an easier activation. Something on the lines:
Mettle of Man: After taking a protection hit while Healthy, Mettle of Man activates. While active you gain Endurance for as long as you remain injured and when the effect is consumed, Mettle of Man deactivates for the remainder of the trial.
That way the perk keeps a similar (but easier) activation requirement, but can only activate once per match.
Bro that would be just destroy the perk entirely because the endurance effect only lasts for a single hit, after that it's gone, if that's the case then no one would use m.o.m anymore, it should be able to be used for the whole trial but with requirements.

Although I love Ash as a character as well as his perk concepts, I do have some ideas for buffs/changes to his perks:
Mettle of Man: Taking 1 protection hit grants the user the "Endurance Effect" instead of taking damage, has a cool down of 120/100/80 seconds and taking protection hits grants 1 token up to 5 tokens for increased healing speed by all survivors to heal you including you. (You get healed faster)
1st Token: +30% healing speed for anyone who heals you (including yourself)
2nd Token: +35% healing speed,
3rd Token: +40% healing speed,
4th Token: +45% healing,
5th Token: +50 Healing speed and 25 bonus blood points in all categories.
Buckle Up: You can see the recovery progress of survivors by the intensity of their auras up to a distance of 40 metres, also survivors in the dying state within 40 meters of you crawl 50% and are healed 30/%40%/50% faster but only by you. After healing, both you and your teammate can see the killer's aura for 10 seconds.
Flip Flop: Up to 50%/75%/100% of your recovery progress whilst in the dying state is converted into wiggle progress upon being picked up. You also decrease your overall wiggle time by 4%/8%/12% while Flip-Flop is equipped.

My favorites are Legion, Nurse, and Wraith! My current main right now Legion, but I also play a lot of nurse, and Wraith was the player I first playing when I got the game so Wraith as a killer will always have a place in my heart; even if I wish the devs would buff him with windstorm and a supressed terror radius. But yeah, Philip, Sally and the Legion say hi!

A character that had a relationship with the opposite sex could be bisexual or pansexual tho
It's not that common though, not so much when compared to straight folks like myself, bi or pan it doesn't matter, that still fits in your community, and as such, you guys are minorities which is why we protect you or encourage you guys to express yourselves, and yes being straight is a default in our society, that's just how our bodies are intended to work. But whatever, I don't really care if some characters are gay, just don't it randomly and without explanation, like if Bill randomly turned gay when his L4D would strongly conflict that in his comics.
