  • Trying stocking up on the plaid flannel add-on because its really good for beginners to help them gaige where exactly they are blinking to.

also when blinking after a survivor, try blinking in front of them because blinking takes a second and blinking directly behind them will leave you out of reach to hit them. Also a

Another thing, as Sally, 3 gens are extremely powerful especially on indoor maps as you can blink between floors and gens and with plaid flannel you can see where to point in order too traverse floors and cut survivors off.

As for beginner perks, bitter murmur is good on nurse if your patrolling gens but then one gets completed allowing you to quickly blink to them and stop them.

Lastly, if possible, try to hook survivors in hard to reach areas like the basement or a 2nd floor, or on a hill because not all survivors use balanced landing but you yourself can always blink downward to insta-hit them since there's no penalty.

Oh yeah one last thing (I promise), it'll take some practice but you can actually swing right before fatigue sets in so that you don't have to look down after blinking, it's kinda hard to time though, so it needs practice, but I believe you can get there, just be patient, hope this helps! Sally and Philip say hi!

  • Idk what you guys are talking about, as a killer, there are usually 5-6 god pallets most of which are underground, and then there are 16+ strong loops that take more than 30 seconds to loop around with pros, the game map used to be killer-sided, but now, it's easily survivor sided unless the killer is a nurse, the only redeeming quality for it as killer are the gens closed to each other on the either floor (it changes) which makes making a 3 gen situation easier) but yeah, there's way too many f'ing pallets on that map, it's not impossible, just really annoying.

  • I actually have that issue too, it's really annoying sometimes but I'm not sure how to fix it, I guess we're just supposed to get better then, try playing with friends and have roles and/or synergizing builds, it could be interesting.

  • Now I'm a fairly new killer myself (about a month and a half of experience) and I am just rank 6, so take this with a grain of salt:

From my reckoning, when I first spawn in, I always scan the map for gens to patrol around more often to force a three gen situation. Secondly, I also passively look out for the basement location as well as hooks that are in/near dead-zones or with unsafe pallets. Doing these things might seem like a waste of time, but it can a huge impact on your last two gens as well as your endgame.

To elaborate, knowing where the basement is can obviously aid you if you are in distance after picking someone up, and hooking folks in unsafe areas (like one of the hooks in the middle of the cornfield on Cold wind Farm) forces rescuers and the rescued alike into exposing themselves and hopefully cut down your chases as short as possible.

Also, as you learn the game, try to keep in mind which types of loops are strongest (like killer shack & and double T windows) to help you judge whether or not looping someone for more than a few times is worth it, remember gens need protecting, and the people who dedicate themselves to gens are usually the weaker loopers (usually but there are exceptions).

Oh and don't be afraid to eat up a few pallets in the beginning if they're really strong, trust me, getting them out of the way can force survivors to create deadzones or funnel them into certain parts of a map which makes both hunting and chasing a lot easier as well as survivors creating their own deadzones which would normally be strong areas to loop.

Lastly, I'd say that it's worth making/keeping a mental note on how survivors behave and if their traits are usually correlated to a specific character or clothing(i.e Ash loves body blocking, Jakes are weaker at chases, David is altruistic etc.) It always helps to have additional info, profiles/stereotypes even, before heading into a game to help plan your attack and/or gen defense. Hope this helps! The Legion says hi! ;)

The issue is probably more than the company pushing release cycles and a lack of QA, but yeah.

The fact that so many obvious bugs were released is just borderline silly.

Nobody noticed during testing that all survivors have tenacity? Seriously?

Bro that's so true, I thought I was just tripping out but yeah sometimes when I down survivors they literally crawl like 5-8 meters by the time I finish cleaning my knife, like what the heck, if I didn't use deerstalker I might lose them.

  • @crispo said:

increase the reduction of grunts of pain to 100% so that you don't have to pair it with iron will and give it something that will make it worth the risk of being one shot like giving you a permanent 7% haste effect.

what do you think of no mither and how would you change it to make it more fun to use?

I actually really like your idea, but instead of 7% make it 3%-6% max, grant no mither users the endurance effect whilst unhooking someone. and for 6 seconds afterwards, increasing vault speed by 8%-10%, and increasing healing speeds by 15%-25% depending on level. An alternate idea that I had though, could potentially make No Mither extremely powerful and so I would make it a token perk, so basically every time you unhook someone, or heal someone, you gain 1 token up to a max of 6.

    • 1 token gives endurance next time you're hit
    • 2 tokens activates a 3% haste effect + 5% action speeds to everything
    • 3 tokens gives 4% haste effect + 6% action speed
    • 4 tokens gives 5% haste effect + 7% action speed bonus
    • 5 tokens can now kick a killer while their holding someone to stun him once, but will make you exhausted and the new obsession
    • 6 tokens instantly makes you fully healthy and can now heal for the rest of the game, plus gain an extra 6,000 bp for reaching 6 tokens.
  • I mean, Yui and Laurie are kinda cute to me, but Sally is the one for me, I'd date her lol, she literally dates one of my mains canonically speaking! Sally a waifu tho!

  • Hex Ruin, Bamboozle, bloodhound, and sloppy butcher (gotta get that tracking value),

The main idea for my build is to aid Wraith in having extended gen defense; allowing him to patrol gens, close off loops, and track down injured survivors, all in all, i made this build to make me well-rounded: both in defense, chases, and searching. Hope this helps

  • Personally, I'm a killer main and I think Caleb is fine, he's good practice for dodging hits, I don't pyramid head though, I played him and instantly won 4k'd six games in a row which is just ridiculous (rank 7 then 6), but with Billy, Wraith, and Legion I have to work exponentially harder to win, I guess my point is that any decent player as Pyramid head can still do just as good if not better than a very good Billy/Legion player like myself, I think he just has too many powers but I also don't know how to properly rework him without ruining his role as a executioner. Hope this helps!

  • As a Frank Legion main and Wraith main, I can say that you're partially correct, as Legion, I'm very aggressive and love punishing survivors for sticking together and trying to heal(kinda like if I can't bring my crew into the game, then you can't either lol) and with Wraith although I can get sweaty against great and/or toxic players, I'm ultimately a memelord and love banging my bell in chases and in teabaggers faces after I hook them!

David and Jake. Both come from rich backgrounds, while David is aggressive, and Jake is calm. Their personalities are polar opposites but at the same time Jake would balance David out imo. As for other romantic options, Dwight and Meg perhaps? I mean Dwight honestly would be cuter with David imo but canon wise I'd expect David and Jake to get together. The only way I wouldn't expect the DavidXJake coupling to happen is if one of the two is not gay, and honestly I just have a feeling David at the very least is gay. It'd make a lot of sense as to why he is the way he is.

As a Jake main, I disagree, I'd think there doesn't seem to be much indicator of Jake's sexuality (although I still think he's straight) and I'm a little biased, but I'd want Jake to remain straight, and maybe date Yui, Claudette, or Laurie, that's all I've got.

  • Survivors: Jake Park

-He's the closest thing I have to an Asian guy in this game (He doesn't look Asian enough to me)

-He was my first survivor that I did well with without meta perks

-His love of nature and strong willpower is something I can relate to heavily

-He has a lot of dark clothing and a cowboy hat (how cool is that!)

    2P2_2l4L_400x400.jpg

    Killers: Legion & Wraith

-Legion fits my play style extremely well and I really like his character design

-Frank is young, short, and fit enough to keep up with survivors (I'm a young track athlete)

-He's the most realistic killer in this game to me, especially in his mori where he struggles a bit, similar to me in fighting

-He's fun to play as and I like to imagine that my "friends" are giving me moral support in my games with cheers & stuff

    maxresdefault.jpg

    Wraith:

-I love inducing terror at the sound of his bell

-I love spamming his bell in chases to terrify survivors

-I love spamming his bell and nodding my head to toxic swf on hooks

-I'm a speed demon, so he's the predecessor to Legion for me whilst cloaked

-He looks awesome and is the only basic killer without something covering or jagging his face (he looks somewhat normal)

-I love making taco bell joke to my friends in custom games

-The memes I can create are endless

-His perks are underrated and I love them except for shadowborn

-He dates Sally and probably is one of the only killers here who gets laid (I think she's waifu too)

    -He has a sick suit!

    -He has a bell

  • Now I'm a fairly new player, and recently became a killer main, and ever since I finally got Legion (Frank's my favorite character) I've been having a blast as killer (rank 18 to 9 in less than a week), although I will say that survivors do seem really toxic now, no worries, them tea-bagging, self-caring in front of me, and clicking just encourages me to hate them even more and play smarter (it's working a little too well)! Now with that being said, Legion; while being extremely fun for me, is still fundamentally flawed and I have suggestions to improve him, one of which includes a tier system like Myers but completely different in what it does. I look forward to growing as a player, and I love this game, but sometimes, the toxicness does get to me, and now I wish there was a 2 v 8 gamemode like really badly!

  • Yeah it's true, I'm a fairly new killer main that started about a a month and a half ago, and I first started out playing morally correct, but then I started rapidly ranking up to purple where I get toxic survivors like every other game, and quite frankly, I guess the frustrations started to pile up, and now I'm a lot less nice to tea-baggers and in letting people after I got a hate message from someone I gave hatch. After that, I barely let people go anymore (unless they're very altruistic but not toxic), and I actually don't like survivors anymore, I enjoy killing them, go ahead keep sending hate mail, I'll just keep getting better as time passes....

  • I don't think she's a ghost, she bleeds and is of flesh and bone like a human, just not exactly mortal, she's almost, angelic in a sense, she's beautiful.

  • @bepis said:

I'm leveling up Bill because i want Unbreakable, but you have to get Left Behind first and i feel like it's a very situation-specific perk.

Is it worth using it and what other perks go well with it?

I use it a lot in solo queues but honestly, it's a pretty alright perk. However, when I do use it , I like using it with plunderer's instinct in case I get a key (which has won me +10 games already), and I also like it with adrenaline for end game. All in all, it's an excellent solo perk, and can be a very rewarding perk when swf if you combine it with plunderer's instinct to get keys. Hope this helps!

  • @Toxicity23 said:

I don't have a per se 'main' yet, considering I'm a bit of a jack of all trades.

Though, I will say that I love playing as Myers.

Spookiness is turned WAY up with him. And I love his perks too. PWYF, especially. (I have no issues in letting my obsession go, and I typically just use it to scare them off. the 5% speed boost is good enough for me. I'm easy to please, since I go with the statement: 'something is better than nothing', and it helps me consider 1 hooks as wins, or existing long enough in battle royales. Though, I suppose I'm more susceptible to acts of toxicity. Ironic, innit?)

Call me toxic if you will, but I like running with Laurie.

Not because she has DS + OoO, though. (Terrible with chases and the DS check. I avoid t-bags and all that, so I usually don't get tunneled.) It's, surprise, Sole Survivor that gravitates me towards her!

I generally play selfishly, only sometimes going for unhooks just to get WGLF stacks. (Bad at escaping chases more than I am at ending them with Killer. Yeah that's right, killer main right here.)

I hope they add an option to have folks gain BP in a way that's less than WGLF, but is still a BP bonus. *Unless something like that exists, already, though, and would love it if someone can point it out to me, nicely.*

Well there is prove thyself with Dwight which gives you a 100% bonus to all blood points awarded by cooperative actions, so I reckon you should get that when you can. Also, deliverance, ds, saboteur, and by any means necessary from Yui can all award you a solid +1000 bp as well, so consider those as well... If you're using prove thyself or wglf, just beware if you were to face a Legion like me that I love nothing more than to see multiple survivors all stacked together, it's one of the most beautiful things I can see, at least for a few seconds...

  • For survivor, probably Jake Park because he looks like me and has ultra strong willpower and and is knowledgeable with wild life which I guess I want to be like to an extent,

As for killer, definitely Legion and Wraith, I love track N field and I remember when I was a little kid I used to outrun all the other kids and in freeze tag and elimination, so when the survivors stop to mend themselves, it brings back good memories of when everyone was frozen. Also Legion seems like one of the most human-like killers because he's shorter, isn't filled with thorns nor does he sound nor look weird, Frank just looks like a normal guy, which to me signifies just how deadly he really is. Besides, I love his mori and overall playstyle because it kinda reflects me as a person: I love running, and procrastinating (hit everyone once then come back later) and how the Legion itself is a group, and so in a way, I never feel alone when playing as Legion, I like to imagine that my "friends" are cheering me on the whole way and/or giving me information using my perks. Overall, Jake Park fits who I want to be: Calm-hearted, peaceful, relaxed and poised, and then there's Frank Morrison who fits me more for who I am: athletic, music enthusiast, intuitive thinker, and slightly clumsy.

  • If I'm being honest my main exhaustion perk is dead-hard because it's satisfying to dodge and I''ve used it to help buy me extra time for teammates, but when it comes to pure fun, I absolutely love head-on, especially in swf (23 stuns lol). I think I gave some killers locker ptsd from that haha!

  • @Sasha233 said:

I main survivor and have ~1k hrs in and have always been in red rank. However my killer sucks absolute ass and especially when I play a weaker killer for daily or achievements, I sometimes get demolished by a team average rank 10.

It takes me extremely long to mentally prepare myself to queue for a killer match, and when I do get destroyed, I won't want to play in at least a few days. I feel utterly defeated when the survivors tbag me at the exit and type ez in the post game chat. I don't want to disable the chat tho- I love having interactions with other players.

I sometimes go afk and let myself derank for a bit to finally get myself together to play again, but as I inevitebly rank up, I run into very good (and toxic) players again that would humiliate me and make me question my existence.

So question for killer mains, how did you grow thicker skin and managed to stop caring about the match outcomes?

Although I've never been hit that hard before, I have had my fair share of frustrating matches against toxic survivors and for me, I just have to remind myself that its just a game, and that most people aren't naturally talented (like me) and so we develop skill instead, which takes time and patience, hold strong friend, things will get better, but first you have to believe that things can change. Now with that being said, it's also extremely satisfying to teabag toxic survivors as ghost face and spam gg ez to anyone you kill. (i.e I'm joking please don't be toxic) But in all seriousness though, just focus on bringing what helps you have fun, like I play Legion because I find his stabs satisfying even though I'm probably better off playing as nurse for easy kills, just do what makes you happy. I hoped this help.

  • I'm a Wraith main and personally although I've gotten a lot of use out of predator and bloodhound, the only real reason they work well is because I dedicate an entire build just for tracking. Now with that being said, his perks are far too reliant on being paired together to work efficiently, I think the devs need to buff Wraith, I think some of his add-ons should just be in his base game play, and his perks are terrible individually, cause shadow-born is absolute garbage, please buff him and give him a perk re-work.

  • @vacaman said:

But to balance it out i would remove the positive effects of the perk until you are injured.

I agree, I guess I should of been more clear in my original suggestion, but yeah the bonuses would only apply when your injured which is what I trying to work off of, hence the whole high-risk high-reward factor!

  • @malatruse said:

No Mither shouldn't leave blood orbs for Oni

Yeah I never understood that, I really think that shouldn't be a thing honestly, I'd hope they make that change I forgot all about that lol.

  • @Trashmaster said:

Just add 50% boost (if applicable) to any other perk while using no mither, wow no mither is suddenly really good and bad at the same time

Bro that sounds like killer hell dude, imagine if someone used vigil, dead-hard and no mither or head-on instead of dead-hard, they would literally be recovering their exhaustion by +70% which is just insane, it would probably still be bad for noobs, but could be god-like for pro-loopers. Again though, high-risk - high-reward because they would still be one-shot.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

I wonder how strong it would be if no mither gave you 4 hook states before you die

Dude I didn't even think of that would be so good, I mean the whole point of David is high risk-high reward so I think that's pretty fair and could potentially make no mither a really powerful perk at the cost of his health, I could see a lot of gen-rushing, looping and altruistic builds suddenly forming if they added the changes I suggested along with yours dude.

  • @gatsby said:

    @Thunderous_670

The temporary endurance while unhooking would make No Mither so much better. I love that idea

Yeah I've always found it annoying how in theory Davids are just supposed to deadhard in only to farm their teammates or get downed themselves (assuming u use his stock perks), and I feel like no mither should reward for helping others or at least make you stronger when trying to kinda like how Bill becomes more powerful in desperate times.

  • That's decent but I'd consider something else instead

After entering the injured state, you suffer the broken status effect for the remainder of the trial. (killer isn't notified though)

Recover exhaustion 15%/20%25% faster (to combine with dead hard)

bonus action speed to all actions while injured by 5%/6%/7% (kinda like resilience)

recover from the dying state 25% faster (could be interesting with unbreakable)

Increase healing speed when healing others by 10%/15%/20%

SPECIAL: While unhooking a survivor, gain the endurance effect for the remainder of the unhook, and the effect persists for the next 5 seconds after the unhook is completed (This way David can still be altruistic and gain his W.G.L.F tokens.

Note: I'm more of a killer guy, but I genuinely do feel bad sometimes whenever I see no mither people get bullied or tunneled, David's perks should work in synergy, not against one another. I would love to see theses changes in game, and could make for some interesting games and builds, thanks for reading!

  • For killer definitely Sally/The Nurse, I don't know but I always kinda felt bad reading her bio, and I was a sucker for her marriage and valentine skin where she's looking for love and I got to see her pretty face, and it doesn't help that I main Wraith as well, and even her add-ons tell a tragic but nice story between her and her patients. I mean, with her, it feels like she's very feminine in a lot of the right ways (skin, shape, movement etc.) and I do think she's very pretty, and even in her mori I feel like she doesn't enjoy killing but rather sees it as a mercy, and a girl once ran her hands down me very softly and "feel me out" and the way she strokes survivors kinda reminds me of that time, so soft, so gentle..... Definitely a keeper for me, you know, if she didn't try to kill me immediately.

  • Jake Players I notice are really discreet and generally work on gens a lot and prefer hiding while moving over looping (although they're still pretty good at that), and are generally willing to save others only if they are sure if the killer is not nearby (they guess wrong sometimes though). The exception to this though, are cowboy and hell legion Jakes who are much more altruistic and comfortable while injured (you better believe they brought resilience) and both are considerably better at looping, although cowboys tend to be the smartest Jakes over all. Note: I am a Jake Main when survivor, but I play killer a lot more often, and decided to focus on the Jakes I've personally seen as both killers and survivor. For myself though, I'm very altruistic if no one else is rescuing since I also play as Bill and David, and try to plan my moves carefully, I also love working on gens but never work on them without an escape plan beforehand.

  • With my head cannon, I guess is that the killers interact with each other in between trials on a near-regular basis which is why Philip and Sally fell in love and date each other, maybe Samination's killer meetings have some truth to it. Also, I like to think that it's possible that the blight used to be a survivor because of his vault and story, I also think that the Legion could've maybe been survivors at least a couple times before becoming killers, there are four of them after all.

  • I mean, I play killer more and I'm fine with the way the old ooo was, but if I were to say, cut down the recharge times in half so I can kill them faster as well them being able to send out info more often as well.
