Love Billy. ❤️ respect to my Billy mains east of of Philly. You know who you are.
Small but strong bunch. Like Ukraine.
-
No. All general perks. I checked. I hate quitting but I don't Oplay with cheaters. I just won't do it .

Check out pixelbush on youtube.
(also, please don't slug more than you absolutely need to, it makes the rest of us twins players look bad.)
I don't unless someone is next to me and then I attack them too. As I said, I hate slugging. It's not fun for me either trust me.

I see people say this a lot but even watching tourney players, they overheat all the time and it can definitely hurt them. I just don’t see the point in it when the speed addons were apparently the issue in the first place.
I play Billy, I use him to travel and at places where they are outpositioned. Not at loops. I rarely overheat. If your intention is to get a ton of instasaws I can see it as an issue.
-
They just need to rework those awful addons. The overheat isn't a big deal. It's the addons. To situational to be worth it.
-
I started In 2017. Everything was so much slower. Even hanging survivors on the hook animation was ungodly slow
I remember when BT would grant invincibility to both survivors, and I didn't complain back then about it. But back then I hardly played killer too.
Now I mostly play killer bc it's a way better feel but still broken. They've come a long way. Just wish they'd get that balance to where all killers have a chance against 4 good loopers instead of such a small amount of the roster.
-
20 min wait time for multiple dcs in matches both games. No thanks. I'm going back to survivor.
I got 2 games as her all night. It's enough to know what she's like. Shame, I was having fun too.
At least I can go against her I guess
-
Figured. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't just my zone or internet.
-
As survivor, you heavily rely on the 3 other teammates in the game. If they play well, it's easier for you and vise versa.
As killer, you're alone juggling 4 different people and trying to take control over a situation where the odds are stacked against you depending on how well the survivors understand the many loops given to them in maps..
It's true the killer role is harder as your alone, and have nobody else to help the game go in your favor.
I've always said the killer should receive 1 and half to two times more points per match seeing its a 1 v 4.

I like hitting them on hook cause I get to watch the blood go pffftttt. Literally the only reason I do it. Not to BM, just cause I like the animation. Also I'm a doctor main... I doubt there's a correlation though 😂
But no you're not wrong. If they don't like it they shouldn't do it themselves.
How does the blood go again?
-
I've been using it for the past 12 matches, and it saved me twice. So I'd say it's gutted from what it was. Still helps from high up but otherwise I didn't see much use out of it.
-
Thanks.
-
I'm not that good with her. When I play her tho, most of my luck comes from end game. Survivors have adapted well to not getting hit with her puke. I find myself trying and missing more than hitting them down
Plus gens go so fast I don't get to move around the map to all the purge fountains.

Yeah, imagine playing like this and think you're the better player againts someone that plays normal 🤣 .
Alot of swfs do. Lol.
They bring in do many handicap perks, and really strong addons and coordination
And then at the end call the killer trash like they were something amazing when in reality all they did was set themselves up for better odds. It isn't that they are better players per se, it's all the added help they use.
I've never understood cocky survivors. Like ever.
-
Another point tho. Imagine how that killer felt all match struggling like that tho. I've had matches against really good survivors where I struggled for more than 3 hooks b4 4 gens were done.
Even if you did well all match and he didn't get hooks and you got camped out at the end bc of noed, I guarantee you got a ton more points than the killer did.
He probably got less than 10k points but at least he got a kill making the time playing somewhat okay.
Noed is fine man. Leave it be.
-
No!
Leave NOED ALONE!
Sincerely,
All killer mains.

I guess stealth is alright, but also kinda weak compared to other abilities, if they want to do a strong Killer that could be fun, mobility is the way to go, it makes chases more interesting.
Stealth is fun, yes. But it doesn't work in this game because of how fast gens go. Stealth takes set up, and patience.
I love Ghostface. It's funny when I slowly sneak up on someone and the freak out and fail a skill check and run. I get alot of laughs.
Unfortunately tho, 3 gens go for that 1 really good scare. Matchs are thrown for good Stealth play but if your goal is good scares its worth it.
I've never had much luck with scream kill wise other than snow balls.
Mikey is the same way. Can't set up his perks to use them fast enough.
-
I love pinhead. He looks cool, his power is neat, his voice is fantastic. They put alot of love into his design..
However. Not alot of love towards his power. It's incredibly weak, and doesn't make any sense whatsoever that he can break his own chains. That was a massive error on the devs part.
You can make it work but chain hunt is needed. With it active, you can actually feel kinda strong. Without it, you have to unleash the chains when your close to them.
Trying to long shot the chains is both harder to land, and pointless as they escape faster than you can break a pallet.
With how fast they break free I thought it was also an error they make his power so hard to land.
It's another issue where a killers power is to difficult to use for such a small to no reward. It's meant for short range clearly... so why are there add ons that allow even longer casting ranges? Lmao!
They break free in 3 seconds. What's Langer casting going to achieve? Nothing.
But all in all, he's an easy fix. Make the chains not breakable by pinhead, and increase the time slightly.
And for God's sake stop with the useless addons devs. So many killers have so many useless addons.

it isn't sarcastic whatsoever
there's no sense in getting super upset over bad teammates (they do exist) because getting into that kind of mindset can lead to you always blaming your team and making excuses for your own mistakes. it's better to focus on yourself, though you can just as easily get into the mindset of beating yourself up too much. i've found myself in both camps from time to time.
and not playing DbD (or playing it less at least) would probably do a lot of people here some good
You're not wrong. But telling others not to play comes off negative. More so take a break instead... bc we've all been there.
We rage. We're here and most killers vent here. I'm raging now lol.
Poor Mikey.
I cant seem to get his perks to work at all. Tried 5 games. Gens go to quick. Can't set up.

@[Deleted User] said:
when i play killer i'm bad
when i play survivor i'm bad
there are always situations where you can say "oh my teammates did this and that's why we lost the game" but it's (potentially) more productive to analyze your own mistakes than focus on things outside of your control.
...or just don't play DbD that works too 👍️
The sarcastic response isn't necessary.
-
If the devs don't make killer viable. This game won't make it. Mark my words.
90% of the killer roster is considered trash at being viable against decent players who can loop.
Just had a match as Mikey. Leon was untouchable bc of how many pallets he had, and a dirty window loop at McMillian. Untouchable.
After breaking 3 pallets, and a min chase I hit em. Exit gates power up and whud ya know, adrenaline. He gets healed for free. Then here come the rest of the team to bodyblock him to the exit safe and sound all of em. Bc if you hit any of em they get a free rocket boost to shoot them comfortably into the exit gate where they then teabag the ######### out of you.
Cool....
Fun game devs.
Thanks for making Michael Myers a floor mat.
-
Killer rough. Remember that as survivor

I don't see why people get upset by "bully squads" if they aren't hammering gens. Survivor interaction is what makes the game fun. Be more cautious and play aware, trust me it's much more fun than a bunch of immersed clauds.
Usually bully squads known loops well enough to be extremely hard to get hit and time consuming. So they taunt, click, and teabag and blind constantly while they abuse the broken loops.
It's like.. ha ha you can't get me. Na na
And it ruins the experience of the game when it's the whole match.
The maps are partially to blame. To many safe spaces.
-
@N8dog said:
dude, the leave button exists for a reason. If you're sure yo have a bully lobby then bail. I do it every time I pick up on it and feel no shame in doing this. I'm not gonna get bullied while doing a daily or rift challenge at 1am. Screw that!
Yes. Considered it but 2 things crossed my mind.
1. That's what they want.
2.dc timer.
So I went through it. All 13 minutes of annoying toxic immature survivors. But hey I guess cuz perfect score nothings wrong. 🙄
-
@Sepex said:
Sorry despite the trauma you claim to have been thru if you scored a perfect score with a 4k you didn't have that bad of a time I assure you.

I can't imagine anything worse than sore winners. "They BULLIED me with DH and BT and the TEABAG and the FLASHLIGHT 😭" grow up geez
There's a difference between using your perks and items effectively, and using your perks and items to constantly harass, be loud, taunt, and drag out full games and prolong unnecessary chases for the sheer sake of giving the killer as hard of a time as you can.
You go into a match that should last 5 minutes but instead lasts 12 to 15 minutes of THAT!
you would be saying grow up to them.
-
its a different game at that level. you either tunnel one out, and hope their team comes to help so you can snowball another down, or you dont... and get stomped into the dirt within 5 min and struggle to get more that 3 or 4 hooks before the 5 min are up.
-
borrowed and dS stacked matters very much at end game. the survivor you have on the hook once the gates are powered is invincible. once unhooked, unless somehow they are very far from both exit gates, gets a free escape no matter the outcome.
i mention those perks bc they matter, they are the meta perks that make and break games for survivor. dead hard is also brought up.
the fact that have to play 3 killers to do well is a flaw in the game. all killers should have a chance at doing well. notice how i didnt say get 4k's? no... but all killers should be able to stand a chance at least getting 6 hooks or 2 kills.
the devs say they try to balance the game. so then tell me how the entire killer roster except three is considered usable at higher MMR?
it does not take much to get to high mmr either. 5 games in and im going against sweat sqauds already and consistantly as well. even when i lose i find myself going against meta squads with most killers and getting pounded into the dirt.
when i lose about 3 or so back to back games, thats when i see a drastic change in the survivors.
but you play 3 games in a row where you get stomped and see how you feel after. you wanna pull your hair out and stop playing.
we keep not talking about the map design as well. there are way to many strong loops and pallets on these maps. its insane.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/310182/playing-killer-is-so-miserable
I just got done finally playing VHS as killer for a few matches after waiting months to get access to the beta....
Let me tell you, as bad as the feeling of killer can be in this game, it is nothing next to the outright uselessness of playing killer in that game. Just try tracking a survivor in that game - there's no scratch marks, the sound design is just ass, an injured survivor barely gives more indication than a non-injured on where they are, and there's basically no way of knowing which station they're building on unless they miss a skill check, so you have to guess.
Made me realize I really took this game for granted. There isn't a single game like DBD that is nearly as well though our, even when the devs are very ignorant to some things overall.
Is it that bad? Seems like streamers are having a good time with it.
-
@ThanksForDaily said:
Because some of their influencers (aka killer main streamers) think that killer is "not the power role" for some reason and complain until the stream is over.
Whatever the streamer says guys.
That's why we see everyday threads like:
This streamer said that.
This streamer discovered the best build.
This streamer says swf is busted.
Where do we see that? I make my decisions based on what I see from my games. Not streamers.
-
In my experience hex totems almost never last longer than a minute. So I stopped using them. Time after time they get destroyed early game and I got fed up of having 1 less perk slot every match.
Killer is most certainly the weaker role against decent players. 4 perks against 16, 4 players against 1.
Killer is strong until a certain point and it shifts. Drastically shifts. Maps allow players to safely loop killers long enough for gens to get done.
So map design + 16 perks + 4 against 1
Yeah the killer has terrible odds here against decent players that don't make to many mistakes.
-
I unlocked Freddy for the first time and played him yesterday. I put playing hom off for years B. He just didn't seem fun to me.
Well I played 5 matches. I struggled on each one. His snares only mildly helped at loops. Did have much luck. It didn't help that most matches were against competent survivors as I got teabagged alot in several matches by good loopers.
It was meh.... I struggled alot and his power mildly helped me catch up.
-
The game has always had issues. Used to unplayable as killer and slowly got better, then worse, then better, then worse.
It's a back and forth.
As of now. It's not very fun playing killer. To unbalanced. Survivors have their hands held. Not so much in solo but with teams (which is most) It's unplayable against 2 or more decent Survivors.
The maps have more than enough pallets and jungle gyms to drag out chases long enough for the gens to all pop.
Unless your nurse. Or blight. Literally the only 2 killers that are viable. Everyone else is just luck and mistakes of the survivors.
All m1 killers become unplayable after a certain mmr number. Don't believe me? Try it yourself.
It's a struggle. And it's not fun.
-
Freddy, and clown map with the church.
-
Trying to use him bc he is never seen much, and I want to get better with the saw. Having a hard time tho. Had to take a break
-
DBD is love.... DBD is life....
-
Ah... I just wanna have fun. To me, feeling like a threat and getting a decent amount of hooks is a good time. Hooks make you feel strong not someone dying on 1 hook.
For instance, I have fun zooming around the map as Billy and going for those chainsaw hits. But unfortunately doing that throws the game bc it takes time and effort to play that way.
I've noticed the more you try to enjoy yourself and go for meme builds, or stealth plays, or power plays the more you get punished in the game.
Sucks. I'm kinda at a point where I'm tired of trying to win.... I just wanna have fun and get alot of hooks.
I'm at a point where I'm ready to abandon the competitive aspect of this game all together and play for points.
I couldn't care less about kills. I wanna feel like a threat. Those games are so much more fun.
But again, when you do that. Games fly fast, and you don't get to play very long.

I'm starting to believe that MMR doesn't exist in this game, it's just the devs blowing hot air out of their butts. Not a single one of my games has ever changed since it's implementation. I can either get sweat lords practicing for the next big tournament, or someone e year old niece they're letying play for them.
What's my only proof that we have it? The devs, the same devs who every Q&A CLEARY show they don't understand their own game. These same devs say "oh it's there, but we don't want people to see it so they can't game it but yeah trust us its there oh also please buy this $15 cosmetic set because we work super duper hard"
Tldr, I don't believe MMR is real and the devs are just lying to the community
I'd like to think MMR would works the more you play. After each bad match you go down until you hit that level where you can enjoy yourself.
Maybe get to a point where you win a match, and lose the next on purpose so you can stay at a more chill level.
Idk. All I know is I can't play this game at high MMR it's a miserable experience sweating for 3 or 4 hooks and spending all match breaking pallets and walking
-
Uh-huh, when is the last time you saw the devs throw in or buff anything for killers to the point it changes the game?
They literally break this game consistently with survivor perks. Here recently as well. Several times since October this game has been spiraling out of control for killers.
It's just getting harder and harder to want to play killer.
Survivors already can heal for free. Oh now let's give them a massively buffed perk where they can wiggle free over and over too.
You don't see this crap happening for killers. If anything they just get nerfed.
-
@indieeden7 said:
Someone doesn't look at walls when they pick up.
I do when I'm near walls. I wasn't. It's not that they got a flashlight save. It's more or less about the double blind while I'm in mid animation. That's unfair.
Being able to blind while already blind is unfair in general but worse when the killer is In mid-animation and can't look away.
It needs to be fixed so the bs double blinding can't happen. A killer should only be able to get blinded once, until he can see again then be able to get blinded again. You know, actually be able to counter.
-
Killer just sucks period if you take it seriously. It's a joke role. The maps are have so many pallets and dirty window loops to carry survivors every game as long as they just do the gens.
You can't keep up. Most of your time is spent walking and breaking pallets.
It's broken. Yet for some reason people act like there's any real competition here. Just sit on gens. Done. It only takes 1 or 2 decent loopers to take up enough time for the gens to pop.
The thing that rages me most is the ######### point system. You can win every Chace as killer, get 7 or 8 hooks, and if the survivors just gen rush the game in 5 minutes you'll still depip despite playing well bc God forbid you can't be everywhere at once to slow down the gens.
Devout and gen slowdown points are correlated with one another. Gens flying is 5 minutes wreck your score and the devs act like killers can do something about it.
I cant tell you how many matches I've walked out of feeling good even tho 3 or all escaped because I got so many downs and hooks and get entity displeased and depip.
-
Bubba BUBBA BUBBA BUBBA BUBBA BUBBA. hook em, and give em Eskimo kisses till they dissappear to the spider queen
-
I just experienced boil over on Lerys for the first time.
Ouch.
The 16m hook hiding hurt me. I had no idea where a hook was, and I had a hard time getting through doors.
He wiggled free 3 times b4 I got so frustrated I camped him out the game once I finally got him to a hook.
Yeah, it's gross. It definitely makes killers want to facecamp boil over players now. However it's map dependant. I don't usually have an issue with it on open maps. Indoor maps tho Holy crap.
-
Im bubba. Ima fillet him with my chainsaw while you teabag behind me
-
You have to dedicate builds to pull off penimento tho. It's good when it works but the risk is to high to use this in any permanent build.
I've had luck with it, but far more times than not the bones get destroyed quickly. I feel like deadlock scorge hooks do well, add in ruin or pop. 3 gen regression perks and an aura perk tends to slow the game down some to where it's noticeable.
Penimento is just to risky and works sometimes from my experience. I don't like having to dedicate 3 perks to a penimento build. They break ruin and undying then your left with penimento, and that gets busted once they figure out you have it.
I just don't see the value.

@AsherFrost said:
The emblem/pip/rank/whatever you want to call it, has nothing to do with matchmaking at this point.
As far as the argument that it doesn't represent skill, so much as time, that comes down more to the law of averages and the way mmr does work. Basically with enough bad matches you can drop your mmr to potato level without significantly dropping rank. Then as you play more and win more, your rank goes up, but not because you got better, as much as because your opponents got worse. That means, If you suck, but put enough hours in, you can be an iri ranked killer in the tater fields.
Lol. Tater fields
-
I don't advocate DC's unless absolutely necessary but I mean, if you see a survivor drop an RPD offering that's a big sign they wanna abuse in game mechanics. Nobody likes RPD. Beautiful map, but Terrible layout
Just leave if that happens and you don't want to deal with it right? Move on to a game where people don't abuse mechanics.
