  • I don't understand why survivors that drop party streamers, like swfs where you see 3 or 4 streamers drop go into matches playing disgusting and bully the killer.

Just had a match where 3 had flashlights 4 streamers dropped, my first down I picked up the Nancy, and all I see are teabagging clicking, beams from multiple directions trying to stun me and and then swarming me and the hook and still teabaghing....

Then get mad they all lose their streamers when the killer says nah... I'm out...

Nobody wants to be subjected to that bull crap all game. Playing killer as a whole is gross. This game is gross. Killers need to be feared. There not. That's why you see survivors pop gens in front of them, and bully and gang up.... I wish we could see the DC stats of killers per survivor

  • Well last night two survivors use DH for a free escape at the exit. Back to back lol. Yeah it's pretty open in those situations.

  • I just spin in circles I the middle of the map. Have my own dance party until I get bored and leave.

    Do duh gens please.

    Yeah, it's a miserable map.

    It's also miserable for survivors.

Honestly, if I could veto one map, it would be Haddonfield...but #2 would probably be RPD.

I felt bad for quitting but they weren't doing gens and I was just walking and walking lol ahhh!!!!

  • Me too. I gave up on them. I asked for help, and it seems like no many are having that issue. So I just stopped caring. I'd copy and paste it as well. Or even manually typing it didn't work.

  • I still have fun, but I find myself way less patient with the BS in this game than I used to be.

Like.... if I'm against a swf, it's cool, I don't care. Yet the first time I see extreme coordination where 1 is body blocking while I'm carrying a survivor and the other is sabotaging a hook I'm going to and bad RNG makes that hook the only hook I can reach and I lose the survivor....

Okay.. well I keep going but if it continues to happen.... I immediately DC, take a break and come back later. Sometimes I don't come back at all.

These days I just don't play against toxic survivors. I used to endure it but in time you learn when you play those gross coordinated games where they just tormit you and make you miserable you never have a good time.

Even if you kill all 4 bc they are so focused on being gross with Sabo plays, flashlights, break out stuns, etc.... it still isn't fun. And it's worse when you endure it and leave with nothing except trash talk at the end.

I'm an experienced killer, so I know right away what most survivors are trying to do.... and I just don't have a good time, outplaying them or not.

I leave. I don't even get mad anymore. I just won't play with bully squads. I'll use that penalty to take a mental break and come back .

The devs have allowed to many gross meme perks that annoy the killer and when 4 of them gang up on you using 16 meme perks or a combo of meme and meta perks nobody but the survivors have a good time.

I want to play the game. Not be a clown for laughs for 10 miserable minutes.

Am I having fun anymore? Kinda. Yes... and then no... depends on if the survivors just want to actually play the game. I will say tho.... wins feel empty alot of times and losses feel expected. It's fun when you get at least 6 hooks and good chases but good chases cost you gens.

    So meh..

  • Silly, killers must do this if they are aiming for tye 4k. Gens go fast in high mmr. Winning is a loose term in this game.

What's winning to you? Escaping? Or who has the most points?

Have you seen Midwich lately. Something changed there.

So dark. Thata my issue with that map. Have a hard time seeing

  • Coh as a whole gives survivors free self care at a faster rate which opens a 5th perk slot for all survivors basically.

Killers should have a fifth perk slot too if they won't change this. Or give killers the option to break the damn things. Some sort of counter. We're helpless against this gross crap. I miss hit and runs, and thana, and applying pressure. :/

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

You lost me when you criticized her for being bad in chase. She's not a chasing killer. If you're chasing with Hag then you're playing her wrong. She catches survivors in her web of traps.

No duh. That's the point. She can't chase. She's defensive only. Meaning any speed perks survivors use guarantees an escape bc she's so slow.

With that info, you can literally use borrowed and both leave with the free speed boosts you get.

  • Billy is fun but mostly for mobility reasons. He's trash at loops. That's why I don't mean him. His chainsaw is crap st loops.

Unless you outposition them, it's very hard to get the chainsaw down.

Usually as Billy, I'll get right up on them, back up some and go for it. That works best. Most survivors these days know he can't turn and simply wiggle left or right.

His addons are so utterly bad, and there are no real fun ones anymore that's kinda why I stopped playing him as much as I used to.

His steering addons are the only useful ones really.

Gens done in 5 mins the rest of the time they didn't open the doors to prolong the game and stall out and farm the killer.

This. I said that but people aren't listening. Gens were done in 5 minutes. They stalled the game and messed with me using all their second chance perks and speed boosts and flashlights they found in chests.

I didn't mind the stalling bc it gave me time. That's all I want when I play killer

    MORE TIME.

You can't win chases and get hooks to apply pressure and stop gens when survivors shift w rocket blast to pallet after pallet that seem to all be so vlose together they chain them.

You can break chase, but if the next survivor is just as good nothing changes, your still in a walking simulator trying to down them.

Once you finally get to the point where you've downed 2 of them there are usually only 2 gens left. Lmao.

Do the math. 2 gens and 4 survivors most not even hooked twice yet.

    Game over already.

I know within the first 3 minutes of a match weather or not the games done before its actually done bc of how fast gens go. Unless.... I'm running an end game build.

  • @dugman said:

You’re playing Huntress using Huntress’ Lullaby and Deerstalker and Franklins and Bitter Murmur as your loadout and you’re complaining that you only got one kill against survivors who played well and did gens?

And? I shouldn't be forced to use the same perks to try and win. If killer were even remotely balanced, I should go in with no perks and still have a chance at a kill at least.

Base killer gameplays show the true flaws of m1 killers. Go in with no gen slow down and watch how fast it goes.

Then go in with gen slow down and see how little difference it makes once ruin goes In 45 to a min, and pop isn't used more than 3 or 4 times bc getting hooks is hard to do at higher mmr. Lol

Perks help, but the difference isn't as drastic as you think when it comes to gen regression builds.

People say slow gens, or tunnel out somebody is the only way to prolong the game to give the killer a true shot.

That or luck and survivor mistskes.

  • Haven't gotten a kill in past 5 matches. What's happening is I'm top MMR bc there's hardly any killers playing so I can rank down.

Here's a typical match. 3 gens done or 2 gens almost 3 gens by first hook. 4 or 5 gens by 3rd hook.

End game happens. All four collectively use their speed boosts like 99% their sprint burst or lithe, bodyblocks, dead hard, or d strike to easily get out the exit.

    Every match.

I leave with no kills and maybe 4 or 5 hooks every game.

That's such a cop out at this point. You know the game is survivor sided. Just because the killer loses doesn't mean that they're bad or that the survivors were good.

Thank you. I'm not the best by any means. But seeing 4 survivors working together like this so quickly and healing so fast and so often I can't help but ask what's the point?

I'm supposed to be a threat. If you can heal freely as often as you'd like and quickly, how could anyone ever be afraid of a killer I'm this game?

You put in all that work to hit someone, and they speed off like a rocket to heal for free. Lmao.

Once they heal, it defeats the entire chase and wasted all that time put in for it. "BING" another gen pops.

  • @Impartiality said:

Rather than complain why don’t you figure out where you went wrong and try to improve. They were better players than you that’s why you lost, not because of perks and stuff

Was I perfect? No. I missed alot of hatchet throws because they were just good at wiggling left or right slightly as I threw with my clunky slow mechanics and loud sound que before the hatchet flies.

They did well. Very well. I was ganged up on constantly. When survivors play effectively it shines a light on how hard it is for most killers to get two kills.

I struggled for 1. All the survivors have to do is gens. If they focus on gens, 1 or 2 survivors can take enough of a killers time for 3 or 4 gens to get done.

Then from there on out, it's ez time. Chill time. 1 gen left. 3 can gang up while 1 downs the last gen, and rely on all those stacked perks and 100 pallets to lengthen time long enough to do so.

I play high MMR. I see the trend. Gens go in the first 3 or 4 minutes. Then the rest of the game is them using all those perks to help them stall you out get the gen done and help eachother out the gate with free heals and bosyblocks, dead hard, d strikes, etc...

They didn't do anything wrong. It's what they are supposed to do. It's the game. The mechanics.

You as a killer are supposed to lose to this. Trutal3nt has said this for years. I see it. Lol

I've honestly just stopped logging in except to do some dailies every few days. I got on last night and had to do huntress/spirit/artist dailies. Tried to do artist first. Haddonfield, then badham, then rpd. Also it would be nice if the vertical detection went high enough in RPD to at least get killer instinct on the 2nd floor.

I don't even kill survivors anymore and the games are just so miserable to play, its a complete slugfest trying to get anything. I think I'm just gonna end up taking a break until the new killer comes out.

Yeah aside from all their second chances and coordinating and free heals, twice I hit someone and they screamed but wasn't injured. They get that too

  • @Pulsar said:

The game wasn't done in 5 minutes based on the BP gains alone.

This honestly doesn't look too bad but I can't judge the quality of the players either.

I'm sympathetic, but not convinced these guys were anything special.

Gens were. The remaining time was a 4 survivor gang up with flashlights, and I hardly pulled off that 1 kill.

She was healed instantly 1 too. Then again by 2 of them. I waited out her borrowed in the end and scraped by all while getting clicked at constantly and then harassed in the end game chat.

This is a normal occurrence. Unless I play Bubba, nurse, blight, and run NOED the endgame is so gross. Dead hards and insta heals, and teabaghing and being ganged up on.

God bless NOED dude. It's the only time I'm not swarmed. Killer is a joke lmao.

  • This game is gross. Once you get past 10 games it becomes unplayable. Dbd is broken for killers at the moment.

After you play a handful of games you just go against teams of bullies that all run perks that give them 2 or 3 extra chances after you rightfully down them to keep being gross to you.

In Oct they introduced boons. Now they all can heal for free too and quickly. So it's a losing battle as killer at mid to high mmr.

Your going to lose most matches. Eventually you'll quit playing killer too. And if you don't, you be miserable playing killer in this game. It's not a fun experience in high ranks. You'll read about alot of killers losing alot so they can play easier games. That's where we are at at the moment.

  • Only thing he's good for is mobility . He's punished to hard for chainsaw misses. He has no add-ons that offer any value other then steering.

He's good in open maps. That's it. No add on plays. To situational and lame. The cooldown isn't a big deal. It's his add-ons that killed him. He basically doesn't have any.

  • I've tried new killers with low expectations bc I don't know them that well. I've been playing the crap out of twins, just running around as Victor and trying to keep it light.

I find that not caring and going for good plays and outsmarting survivors even if it costs me gens is more fun than slugging, sweating, and camping out 1 survivor early to better the winning odds.

I just hate going in being chill, and seeing gross survivor gameplay. Then at the end you get the you suck bro you suck.

Not really dude, I just stopped caring about 4k matches bc I wanna have fun. Not stress all match.

What graphics settings are you on? Shadows are turned up to 11 on Ultra (not literally, I think the value they use is 3) but if you play on Low/Medium you should see a noticeable improvement?

Programs like ReShade or Nvidia Filters can also help raise the brightness if needed.

Alternatively it's possible to edit the engine config files themsleves to keep high graphics but lower shadows (also there is possible to uncap FPS).

Ultra. Yeah. But still, is it normal for monitors to go black? As I'm moving around my screen changes from bright to literally off almost on those maps.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    Good day

  • Been playing twins the past 6 matches and yeah, when I miss a leap, a survivor tries to kick me and it glitches if it's close to the end timer of being able to.

Like the kick animation prompts, but nothing happens, and then I as Victor get to dry hump the survivor who kicked me.

    Fun stuff.

    It's because it's pure gloating.

Doing it mid chase is sort of a flex, and it runs a bit of a risk.

There's no risk doing it once you've already won - all you are doing is rubbing salt in the wounds and probably making someone go back to Blight or Nurse, or just log off for the day.

Yeah. Pretty much. Had a david teabagging and clicking at the exit gate just now as nurse on Ormond.

Even Ormond is hard for nurse. To big to get around

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/302269/not-finding-matches-as-survivor

I've found that it depends on the time of day, but generally my survivor queues range from 2 minutes to almost 20. Watching Otz and co, this seems to be about the norm.

My killer queues range from maybe 10 seconds to 2 minutes at most, and that's very early morning.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2721140#Comment_2721140

Weirdly, I see way more swfs in the early-mid morning, especially weekdays.

That said - yes, absolutely. Be nicer to killers (and yes, this also applies to mean killer players who abuse survivors, but I see that a lot less). Don't teabag, don't flicky flicky, don't gloat in postgame. This is stuff that definitely makes people not want to play.

Tea bagging isn't a huge deal per say. It's the spamming I hate. If a survivor teabags I mostly ignore it. It's at the exit gates spamming when I get reckt is when it feels kinda bad

  • Console killer? Well nurse.... hands down.

    Trust me....

    Been playing since beta...

Put a blindfold on too. It's that easybets... the survivors will respect you for it

  • It's because late nights tend to have more 4man swfs. And most killers don't want to get bullied so they stop playing.

I'd suggest if you get a match, and you win, don't harass the killer. Give him or her a gg and words of encouragement.

God bless killers that play late. Bless them.

  • Fair is fun. As a killer, even losing matches, if I felt like I stood my ground, had a fair fight, put up a good fight with chases and hooks....

    I had fun.

Where I don't have fun are those matches where I feel like I struggle to catch up to anyone and within a few minutes of the match 3 or 4 gens pop and I end up with only 3 or 4 hooks.

That doesn't feel fair, or balanced at all. I can't imagine survivors having much fun either when the game lasts 5 minutes with hardly much killer interaction bc the poor bastard is chasing 1 or 2 survivors that are pallet magnets.

  • It's not bad as nurse. Bc as nurse screw the maze, go through the walls.

  • I guess half of you miss the point. I tunneled ash bc he was on death hook. Had I hooked Meg, the process would have just repeated itself and I'd be right back where I started.

The hook was near the exit gate. Close enough anyway thanks to Rng not being in my favor. It was the closest hook.

They were body blocking, and the exit gate was 99% by the time he ran there.

There is nothing wrong with tunneling down a survivor on death hook, especially at the end game when you want a single kill and he's the only one on death hook.

I beat him 3 different times quickly before he made it to the exit, and thanks to his stacked perks, he was carried out.

    3 times. Three chances.

At that point if I had hooked anyone else, they'd just run away, heal and yolo Meg of the hook and then use their 3 chances to get carried out the gate.

Swapping hooks for a little more points is literally all you can do in that situation without NOED if the survivors are running those perks and you are close enough to the gate on a hook.

  • Gens is number 1. They fly. I mean they fly fast! Most my games are 1 hook to two gens. Alot of times I have 3 hooks to 4 gens on most killers.

Maps is the second biggest issue. So badly designed most killers can't traverse the map fast enough to put any pressure on gens at all

Third is SWFS, and swfs being able to stack second chance and free healing perks to the point it literally carries them.

If you play a game where your objective is to kill survivors and you can't even keep the injured, or they all can use dead hard to save them multiple times

Then why play? You are set up for failure from the start.

  • Just had the most rage inducing match. Legit all of them had COH and as Billy I was injuring them over and over and over.

The groaning storehouse had like 50 T L walls and pallets including the house with the broken window. They just kept going g to these t l walls and healing over and over and over instantly!

Downed Claud at exit. The hill was right in front of the exit. Ash was standing there on the hill knowing it was the only hook close enough

    He just stood there teabagging

By the time I walked all the way around the damn thing and got to the hook she wiggled free.... she actually wiggled out .

No kills.... tons of injuries but no downs bc why not free heals for all?!

This was the perfect example of broken maps! The 1 hook I had close enough wasn't even enough to get to.

This whole thing is designed and set up for the killers to fail.

    It's completely broken.

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/301345/typical-billy-game-these-days

Yup - survivor toxicity is one of the big things that makes me reluctant to log on sometimes. I don't mind a bit of midgame 'chase me' taunting, but the strobing flashlight macros give me a legitimate headache and I don't enjoy being gloated at.

Billy is also a...rough killer right now. I never see them when I play survivor and have zero urge to play him myself. He needs help.

I got 4 chainsaw downs on Haddonfield. That's pretty good all things considered. But it didn't matter. It's Haddonfield

I broke chase 3 times bc the survivor ran to the dirty basement loop, then the dirty house loop with the open upstairs window. Then another at the garage with the unlucky pallet spawn that turns that into a dirty loop.

They dropped that offering bc they knew all the nasty loops. I didn't entertain them as the gens were popping fast.

I zoomed around got downs and all their perks saved them minus 1.

We have an insta down killer that doesn't matter how good your hits are, it's negated by all the perks they run .

Crap match. But I knew this going in. I wanted to get some cool instasaws.

Sigh... maybe one day killers outplaying survivors will matter .

Dwvs need to make it where all killers can teabag spam to.

  • Honestly don't the devs see these stats??? They have to see how badly the majority of killers are doing

  • @CyberDragoon656 said:

It's getting old when I basically go into a game and expecting to just give up and not even try.

Try playing Mikey. I average 3 hooks b4 4 sometimes all gens pop. Lmao!

  • Even camping won't work if your as much as a half a football field away from the exit gates. Between speed boosts, pallets, bodyblocks, and second chance perks it's a easy escape just about every time.

I cant tell you how many matches where survivors just run up to the hooks using BT and then deadhard and pallets carry the injured survivor halfway across the map for the escape.

Bubbas chainsaw is the saving grace. You need an ista down killer to make this work. I kinda don't blame him. It's not fun to do tho.

  • His mori.

    "Sarah Connor?"

    "Yes?"

    "BAM!"

    End mori.

  • Nurse has the least kills only bc she's the least played. That legit only means there's not enough data to show she's the best bc not alot of people stick with it to main her these days with how many there are.

But my God, have you ever actually gone against a Nurse main?

It's brutal. She's deadly. Devs know it. We've always known it.

  • Bc it's the only online horror game like this. I enjoy not knowing how matches are going to go, or what kind of interactions I'll have in matches.

I came here from Friday the 13th. That was a good year. Both came out both had a new style of online gameplay, both were scary.

    Friday died... dbd held on.

So im holding on as well. Despite the toxicness and the problems I stick around for those fun matches where it ends up wholesome.

Not everyone is gross. I'd like to think the majority of players here are here for fun not to bully. I get as much salt as I do wholesomeness in the end game chat.

Dbd is special. It's not perfect. We love to hate it, yet we're still here.

There's a reason. It's bc we love this game and what it is as a whole. We believe in it. Believe it'll get better or at least believe the players on both sides will be better to each other .

Mmr is gunna hit me in the teeth with a brick. I know... but I wish Myers had this potential all around

  • This is what the devs need to see, and nerf from here. This is pathetic. I get swfs like this too. Not as bad, but even so I'd never entertain this. I'd DC.

This isn't a game. This is a bully fest. Nobody wants this except OChido wannabe weebs

Well how does this make sense? No totems get done in solo Q so nothing would change. Also, what is gen rushing? You mean doing the literal only objective you have as a survivor?

Wrong. Gen rushing is when survivors all bring in strong gen add-ons, and power through 4 gens in 3 minutes. Basically where they ignore chases, or unhooking a fellow survivor to finish the gen .

Gen rushing is a thing. People throw it around to much but it you know it's a gen rushed map when it ends in less than 5 minutes and the 1 hook you got is ignored into second stage bc gens are priority.

  • I wouldn't. If anything I'd make it even stronger. Killers need at least 1 really feared perk.
