You say you're not tilted but you're here on the forums, trying to insult and shame people into following your made up honor system as if you know better than everyone else.
Either you're tilted, or you're trying to under-handedly peer pressure Killers into avoiding tactics you don't like. Either way does not look good for you.
Nope, just nope lol. You're trying to glorify and justify tunneling. It's a losing argument, because it's a trash way to play. If you need to tunnel to get anywhere in this game, switch back to spirit training wheels and stop tunneling. You win some you lose some, no reason to sacrifice your dignity over it.

If camping and tunneling didn’t work people would not be on here every day crying about them.
The answer is to play survivor better. You only need to run the killer for about 80 seconds to win the game if your team is actually doing gens. How people can’t even manage that against M1 killers on maps like “the game” is beyond me.
When I am killing people before corrupt intervention is over it’s because they were friggin terrible. There’s just no other way to put it. And there’s no reason to stop chasing them if they go down in 15 seconds every time. Easy win for me. It’s really that simple. Same with camping at 5 gens left. No better time to do it. I know the survivors can’t end the game before I secure the kill and can snowball in the 3v1.
Camping and tunneling have nothing to do with skill. They are strategies that you employ in the right situations when they are beneficial to you. That’s it.
I bet you have a lot of friends and are fun at parties
-
I'd say I play nice both sides. I'm a respectful survivor, unless the killer is tunneling or camping me or someone else, then it's time for merciless bming. I never tunnel or camp as killer, unless a survivor is being a bming twit, and even then I don't really Target them but any mercy I would have shown them is gone.
As goodboykaru said I find it to be treat others as you want to be treated. We've all been screwed over and bullied by each side in this game, it really says something about the people engaging in that behavior, and it doesn't say anything good. Sadly I think most dbd games have at least 1 douche player and usually more, I'm literally often just grossed out by how sorry some players play/act. Humanity sucks and dbd proves it.

It's funny when people say killers who tunnel aren't good, because the complaint is followed by how the killer won by tunneling.
Like if the Killer was bad and you lost to them, that says more about your own skill.
There are killers who can do quite well without playing like scumbags. I think everyone respects them. Then there are turbo sweatlords that just make you want to gag. I was playing solo queue yday, tunneled per the norm during the event, after d strike use, when I was second hooked, in 2 separate games I had randoms farm me right in front of the killer, killer downs me before I can even move, and hooks me. Couldn't even dead hard. How is that a skilled killer? I had absolutely no say in those idiots farming me, and they knew my only possible defense had been exhausted. I messaged one of the sruvivors and said what are you a complete idiot, and they apologized. Fair enough mistakes are made. But those killers were dirtbags, it's the equivalent of spawn camping in the old fps games. You would spawn in and die to some twit camping a spawn point with a rocket launcher. Totally bs strategy and pathetic, tunneling and camping is no different, trying to take out the defenseless because you fear losing if you don't play like a dirt bag, and Noone respects that.

Yeah, sure. I'll stop trying to win...I mean 'stop playing like a jerk' (Let's be honest; Survivors call ANYTHING 'scummy' if it kills them) on the off chance that I happen to run into a child playing an M-Rated game, or someone with issues. Sure.
And let's remove the killing, and the blood, and the screaming, because children and people with issues may be distressed by all that! Just change it to hugs and kisses and candy! Because game ratings mean nothing!
JFC 🙄
Im sorry if you can't win without tunneling my dude. Maybe put in some more hours and you'll get there.

It would be nice if they split it in half. Every time I've played it if someone goes in the basement Noone can find the entrance to rescue them

Blights are sweatlord kings. They all use the same sweaty ass build, and are super tryhard. I have never had a farming/friendly blight either, but I never get farmers anyway.

I intentionally stay in green ranks as killer. The games are way more chill and I'm allowed to do things like switch targets, ignore players off the hook, and let players recoup instead of mass slugging them. It's a way more fun place to be. There's also less bully squads, death squads, and hackers here. Sure, maybe I'm not improving when I'm not slamming my face against hyper-skilled survivors every game, but I'm playing for fun, not to train for a tournament. And by all accounts, climbing the ladder is not what you want to do if you're in this game for fun.
Survivor's tougher, because I can't derank without screwing people over and I refuse to do that. But that's a big part of why I've grown so fond of killer and drifted away from survivor - because I got stuck in ranks where I get routinely trounced and rarely have fun in my games. I've been stuck in reds for months, but this RR, I got lucky enough to be rank 5 4 pips before the reset, and I've been having way more fun than usual games as a result. Definitely feels more appropriate to my skill level. Guess I'll enjoy it while it lasts...
Same here, it's like a normal game that you can actually enjoy at that point as killer. Amazing.

It's regarded as 'scummy' because Survivor Mains are attempting to use peer pressure and insults to guide the actions of their opponent; Killers.
It's basically 'You don't want to be a bad/scummy/scrubby Killer! Don't: Slug, Camp, Tunnel, Use <x> Killer, use <x> perks, etc.'
It's a pressure tactic they do to try making easier matches by forcing Killers to play sub-optimally by banning anything effective under 'bad Killers do that!'
Ever played survivor? Ever been relentlessly tunneled?
-
Hopefully they stay disabled. Started getting this map here and there. It sucks.
-
I have only been using all my escape cakes, because killers are playing like absolute douches. My first two games today, killers were normal, completely refreshing, so I switched to anniversary cakes. 3 games in a, the douchbaggery had returned full force. Back to escape cakes, killers can f off right now.
-
Got it as survivor for the first time yesterday. A David King died on his second hook because both myself and a Jill couldn't find the basement entrance. I also died on my first hook because of the exact same problem. ######### were they thinking with this map its a travesty
-
Don't tell people to not complain. Just because players CAN do something, doesn't mean they should. During this event I can't tell you how ridiculous killers are playing, and you apparently don't care. I'm not some whiny little ######### so I can handle getting relentlessly tunneled half the games, pretty much ends up with 0-1 gens left by the time I finally die, but that doesn't mean the person on the other end isn't playing like a loser.
-
Yes, as long as they don't make them totally unscary. Sadly basements are the only places left in this game with any horror atmosphere at all.

If you allow a killer to position themselves in a way where they're blocking the vault or pallet, thats your fault. This usually only happens when a survivor messes up a loop and thinks they can keep going around but the killer has some distance on them and can block the pallet or vault if the survivor attempts to double back. Good survivors don't mess up on loops like this and know when to drop pallets or just abandon a tile altogether if the killer is blocking a vault or pallet.
When it comes to wraith, I remember when people used to call him one of the worst killers in the game (just from what I used to hear people say a while back, obviously there were a lot of people that thought otherwise). As a matter of fact, its only recently that I've noticed people start to praise wraith possibly because of his new buffs from the 4.5.0 update I believe. I think he's fine where he's at and doesn't need any additional changes to please survivors who are incompetent.
You don't even know what I am talking about
-
What I don't appreciate is the cheap vault/pallet body blocking wraith get away with now because they're so fast. Also really sick in general of killers being able to body block pallets, it makes no sense.
-
I started off playing cakes every match. About ten matches later, utterly disgusted with how killers are.playing and I refuse to reward them for it, so I stopped using cakes. I am doing some killer matches, I play cakes and will try to farm in those. Killer queues are actually long enough that playing survivor is a lot faster. Too bad killers are being such dbags.

I'm red rank on my xbox, but because the frames are still bad I've been playing on my switch & have been ranking up & I just want to know why people have no sense of sharing in this game? I've been DOH multiple times while contaminated & I can see the supply crate highlight disappear as the Claudette vaccinates for the 3rd time this match. All the way up from rank 20 to rank 1 this scenario has happened too many times to count. Heaven forbid people don't think of themselves when they boot up this game.
It never even really occurred to me that using a vaccine would be considered selfish, I find most survivors don't use them, I always use them when infected unless it becomes clear to me that the nemesis has no idea what they're doing with that tentacle (hasn't happened since 4 or 5 days after release). I wouldn't take it personally, Noone is cleansing to screw you over or piss you off.

Pretty sure no map updates this time around, they've been busy trying to figure out why racoon city is busted. We know trickster is getting buffed and his perks tweaked. New survivor models. Wouldn't expect anything more than that. We will be lucky if the survivors don't somehow have killers perks and the killers have survivor perks when they implement the survivor model update imo, I wish I was joking.

You're missing the entire point then. I don't care if I die or take hooks as long as I'm getting a chance to play the game not getting tunneled and wasting a 3K BP cake because some Killer decides to go out of their way to tunnel and kill me first - this is evident when you look at post game and the total #of points is under 5k for that survivor. So no - actually no one here has said anything about being entitled to free points at all. And every single person has talked about earning the points.
I think this event is making survivors better to compete with what the killers are doing. It also makes sure Noone gets any decent points. But the amount of tunneling is so nuts that the random I've been playing with are absolutely slamming gens, I've rarely been paired with the quality of survivors I'm getting every match now. It's like an escalating war, survivors gen rush to make sure they have a chance to get out, killers tunnel more to compete. Its ugly af out there right now.
-
Guys, if you thought this would be a legitimate thing at all you're crazy. They didnt design whole outfits to not give parts of them away. Never happen. Now the bloodpoints at the end might be another story. They control all the information, they'll do what they want. Whether 3 million or 50 million crowns get unlocked we have no clue its just whatever they say it is.

I don't even care anymore. You can't stop tunneling or camping. I'm depressed but ######### it, on to the next one. I just never had a chance in those matches even when the whole team tries to protect you they'll still tunnel you.

Even tunneling, camping, and slugging are not toxic unless they're accompanied by BM like hitting on hook and head nods. They're strategies that can be easily punished if the other survivors know what they're doing. Most of it comes down to rushing gens. Yeah, maybe the killer guaranteed gets a kill on that tunneled person, but the other 3 escape and that killer depips. Being "tryhard" or using NOED/Franklin's/putting a strong build on a strong killer is not being a douche bag. It's just playing smart. The killer wants to win too, and they'll use whatever they're given to do so.
Tunneling/camping is the equivalent of spawn camping in a fps game back in the day. It's something sorry ass players do because they will completely lose if they don't. Calling it a strategy doesn't make it okay. By that logic bming around is a strategy too to make the other side get mad and make mistakes. That one survivor that gets tunneled for no reason usually had a bad time in the process and currently is getting screwed on all the cakes for it, but keep spawn camping away, ITS STRATEGY! LOL

There should be a way to earn a temporary 5th perk slot or like a one time use of a 5th perk. I'm thinking killers could get something like a nerfed bbq and survivors could get a nerfed bt. Give them a lengthy cool down or something, but just a cool gambit, maybe it disables an add on or item slot.
I've always thought there should be one innate perk slot as the 5th slot that could only be populated by one of that characters own perks. Would make the survivors actually different and shake things up. Probably a mess to balance though.

I wouldnt recommend it. While most people on Ps5 are not having issues, there have been some reported issues on them as well. The way DBD is going the issues seem to just be getting worse with each patch/over time so it probably wont change much and will only serve as a brief bandaid fix if it does.
Honestly put that 100 dollars towards other games or saving up to upgrade your entire set-up with a Ps5 or PC. Either one of these is probably a better long-term investment.
The game plays perfect on ps5, but I did notice once re was released, the cursor lag in lobbies and the bloodweb that I had always on ps4 is now on the ps5. In game its perfect, but I am kind of worried that they might be spaghetti coding even current gen consoles performance in to the toilet at some point.

DS has never been a true anti tunnelling perk. It’s been a slight hinderance to people who tunnel and if they are playing killers like blight nurse or spirit it might as well not exist
Disagree, ds is amazing and since the event almost every game it's giving me mileage, unless you're in a really bad spot where the pallets are gone, ds has been a game loser for the killer many many times this last week. I might get facecamped on 2nd hook but everyone else gets out. that's a W

They really should axe it, I'm on console so it's not a problem for me, but im glad it's not there, it's really just asking for trouble all around.

When people accuse killers of playing like a "douchebag" or something, I can't take it seriously. There's just nothing constructive there. Unless they shake their heads or hit you on hook, there's nothing wrong with how they're playing.
Why can't you take it seriously? There are several ways of playing this game as killer and survivor that perfectly fit in to the description "douchebag." Bming from either role without it being instigated by the other, douchy, being a bullying survivor, douchy, sweating and tunneling the ######### out of the first person you find, douchy. Franklins demise, especially during an event, douchy. Way too many players in this game are #########. I'm a completionist so I'm getting all these crowns. I got all the killers crowns and farmed with the guys, or if they didn't want to farm I killed them like they seem to want. Getting all the survivor crowns solo queue has been painful (I have 7 to go). Killers are playing like such douches that you have to usually rush gens to even get the opportunity to escape, then look for the crown unless you lucked in to one earlier. Half the time I'm tunneled the whole game and face camped with noed optional, randoms aren't gonna come save that. Then sometimes if the killer is losing early they dc. Often if a survivor goes down early or if its a spirit or dickhead killer, dc. There is no reason to play that way unless you're just an #########. It's a noticeable departure from the normal sweatiness, it's gross.
-
I noticed this when they put in the notes that they moved the survivors position in the lobby so that they don't appear to be floating. They did something with the camera where it blocks out the left side of his face when he turns around. Don't worry, I'm sure it will be fixed next bug fix patch, because it's a cosmetic glitch, but the game will still be busted on console.

It's funny to see some of the guys that play like this come here and defend it. It's pathetic really.

As a 50/50 player, up until now I rarely came across anything I would consider close to actual tunnelling and camping.
Today alone I had 3 games in a row with killers face-camping. One just kept punching at the guy! He had Kindred, so I could see the lug bashing away.
In all 3 games I was fortunate to escape, and one of them we managed to rescue the hooked guy. However, I have noted an increase, and the only things I can think of with those 3 killers is that all matches had lots of cake, and some of those survivors had crowns.
So my assumption from this, some other experience during this time and from what people have said is that some people are choosing to play killer to deliberately prevent other players from getting those crowns and BP.
So although nothing can be done about the cake, I would suggest that sirvivors get the crown simply by interracting with it. It's too convenient for the sudden boost in face-camps when this event started, wheb I've barely come across true face-camping for the longest time.
It's a shame, since it gives killer mains a really unfair reputation because of some guys acting like dicks.
Yeah, you're right, why in the hell do survivors need to escape but killers dont have to do anything?

What I've come to realise is that most of the casual players are playing killer for BP, leaving sweaty survivors as the norm, and also being really bad at killer and so relying on super easy tactics that they ordinarily ######### and complain about.
I kept a Bubba at the Hawkins containment tube for 2 minutes last night. 2 minutes. I was just standing there.
You're partly right, somehow im.getting rank 13 killers that def know what know what are doing somewhat, but I'm also getting rank 2 tunneling spirits with stridor and noed
