Also in terms of what does or doesn't count towards "collecting" a challenge:
https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1412119598959317016?s=20For those that can't access Twitter, it only includes newly unlocked crowns, however any crowns already unlocked will count towards the challenge.
I love how we could have gotten this way earlier but they just ignored it.
I bet we wont even reach the bloodpoints since they wont unlock it instantly anyway.
Its probably only 50k anyway.
Wait, so there was a massive overflow of about 2 million crowns that don't count for the next 3 challenges, but can't be 'newly' collected again, so just got wasted for the purpose of these challenges? That seems like a terrible design - most of the people actually unlocking the crowns were going to be frontloaded at the start of the event. If they were going to handle the event like this (and only count freshly unlocked crowns instead of counting anyone interacting with the crown pedestal, regardless of unlocks), they needed to immediately give out the charms as soon as 500k was unlocked and start the next challenge then. They just burned a bunch of unlocks at the time that most people would be actually getting them.
I genuinely don't know what BHVR means by "any that you've unlocked will count towards the final challenge."
It could be that all pre-unlocked crowns will count towards all the goals, it could mean that BHVR are royally ######### us with this (considering I literally have every crown unlocked already). It's frustrating.
They don't work on weekends.
thats not an excuse. There should be a system that unlocks it automaticly while also showing the stats to EVERYONE.
I'm pretty sure BHVR is just going to make us artificially wait for the other rewards even if we already have enough to unlock the other tiers.
An annoying way to run this event.
Imagine working at a job, hitting your targets and not receiving your bonus because the boss doesn't feel like upholding their end.
That I agree with, I'm just trying to think of a reasonwhy they'd do it like this.
So did BHVR just ######### us all over by waiting this long to start the next set of challenges? We’ve already beaten them with over 2.5 million crowns unlocked (I highly doubt that one side didn’t even get a million crowns already).
I don't know and I wish they could communicate that clearer
I swear BHVR one time had a live tracker webpage for some event similar to this in the past... BHVR's a rare company in that they somehow lose technology they once had.
They had a live tracker in-game before lmao
Recolor of 4 year outfits
POGGERS
You can P3 all characters with those bps
you can't even get through a single level 40 web with 50k.
The fact that they expect 600,000 new crowns to be unlocked for survivors given how late into the event it is and how killers are playing with the fact that you also need to escape, is ridiculous. What do they just want killers to stop playing and hope the people they just gave crowns to didn't have them?
Part of me is wondering if the final reward is an insane amount of BP (like 1 million for each set of challenges we complete) and BHVR is now trying to screw us over so they don’t have to give the entire playerbase like 6 million BP each.
so it says "5 year candles"
but I only see 4 of them
1, 2, 3, 4, errrr.
Guys, if you thought this would be a legitimate thing at all you're crazy. They didnt design whole outfits to not give parts of them away. Never happen. Now the bloodpoints at the end might be another story. They control all the information, they'll do what they want. Whether 3 million or 50 million crowns get unlocked we have no clue its just whatever they say it is.
Pretty sure any re-peat on unlock counts. Meaning, everytime you escape as a survivor(or just grab a crown as a killer), you get a message that says "crown unlocked" even though you already own the crown.
I'm pretty sure that even if you have all crowns already, any crowns you take with you count as an unlock.
You're both aware of what the Dead By Daylight Logo is, yes?
That's been confirmed as false on Twitter in literally the 1st comment
So, if I collect it with Feng 50 times, it counts it just like 1?
I'm sure it is. You want the next reward? You log on and play to unlock it, but I'm sure it'll be unlocked no matter what.
Imagine having a message saying: you got the part one of the outfit, but not enough crowns were unlocked. You never will have the rest.
It'll be the worst marketing decision ever made.
Yes, I just don't know if all the crowns already collected (aka over 2 million) count towards the rest of the challenges
I am, it's a 5 stroke logo unless it's made of candles, apparently. And you'd know the description says:
Those face camping killers knew the truth, they were just trying to halt challenge progress! I think we all owe them one big apology.
Hmmmmm
Then add a 5th candle
Or use your eyes
That's assuming DBD code is working as intended, which, given the game's history, is about a 50/50 chance.
Also, it would be phenomenally bad design to run it that way.
I love how whenever something happens people don't like it immidiately goes "Yeah but the code could be bugged" like good job that isn't a counter argument.
Also, like I've said, they haven't communicated if pre-collected crowns already count or not. So
that doesn't look like a candle
I'm pretty sure they've communicated that of the 2.5 million crowns collected, only 500K were counted for the cosmetic progression track.
Otherwise we'd have the head cosmetics already. (And probably the rest of the set, too)
This is pretty crazy. I think DBD on steam hit 100k players. If we get 5 crowns each, that would be 5M crowns, of which we already got 2.3M.
I guess an easy fix would be to create smurf accounts and get the crowns that way.
No, they didn't say anything about it. Which, like I said, frustrating.
That 5th "candle" doesn't even go through/over 2 of the 4 standing candles. That's not a damn candle, man. LOL
