I actually like repressed alliance but I feel like it could get more use if you could choose to deactivate it on your own. For those unfamiliar with the perk, I believe at tier 3 you have to work on a gen for 40 seconds to make the perk available. Once it's active, you can block a generator for 30 seconds from being touched, even by things like scourge hook which don't physically require the ki7 comments 131 views last activity

I feel like this has been discussed before but it would be amazing if personal stat trackers existed. Obviously I wouldn't expect them to backlog stats as nice as that would be, but it would be cool to have stats on escapes/kills, how many gens I've completed, minutes in chase, top 5 most used perks, most used character, etc. This will probably never happen but ya know.... wishful thinking0 comments 41 views last activity

Is having a teammate who is a complete dick. Just played with a Kate who ran No Mither and Boil Over (which is not in itself a bad thing). Got downed almost immediately and tried to kill herself on hook. I wish I let her because for the rest of the match, she proceeded to go in and out of lockers activating the killers Iron Maiden, never worked on a gen, never unhooked anyone who was hooked, or14 comments 341 views last activity

I put useless in quotation marks because technically every perk HAS a use. That said, for me it'd be Survivor: Diversion Option A: Reduce the timer from 45 seconds to 25 seconds Option B: Keep the 45 sec timer but also allow the timer build up to occur in chase. Both option would allow 2 stacks of diversion and remove the criteria to be crouched and motionless to use Killer: Predator Surv27 comments 321 views last activity

When I ask this question, I'm referring to OVERALL killer nerfs, not specific killer nerfs (i.e. well Bubba got a cooldown on his chainsaw so the devs hate killers) Honestly, I think that when you look at it honestly Survivor and Killers have been roughly nerfed at the same rate. When I think of OVERALL nerfs to both sides, for survivors there was the HUGE exhaustion nerf (RIP me getting Lithe t67 comments 1,571 views last activity

I just looked at my player level and I'm at Devotion 8 Level 99. Why do I do this to myself? I mean most people have known this for some time anyway, but the fact that ranking are primarily based on kills/escapes is seriously flawed. And I would say this is more true on the survivor side than the killer side for a couple of reason. Let's say Survivor 1 is able to loop the killer for 3 whole generators but then finally gets caught and camped at the end of the match. Survivors 2, 3, and2 comments 51 views last activity

I know this has been mentioned for at least a year or two now because I've been around for a bit, but someone's recent post about a killer singling them out 4 times in one day just brought this to the forefront again. What is the reason killers are able to see survivor names prior to the match starting? I get seeing the character and items so they can choose to use Franklin's or not (I've seen36 comments 831 views last activity

This is not really a serious suggestion and more of a meme but what if it were possible to knock Charlotte out of her power? I thought about this once when I was playing against a Twins and Victor was out slugging multiple injured people but I knew where Charlotte was and just thought "hmmmm, that'd be an interesting mechanic". Idk how it would work but obviously it shouldn't be a quick thing4 comments 71 views last activity

Getting straight to the point, it's not the game itself, it's the community and the players. Point blank, period. Everyone takes everything so seriously. Maybe I've just been here too long but the smallest things that people complain about are insane. People slugging for 4ks because they just HAVE to have their 4th kill. People going as far as to say hatch should not exist at all because they3 comments 61 views last activity

The title pretty much but to be fair, I just unlocked Jonah and I'd rather have BT over Exponential but these are the only good perks they gave me so here we are. I wanted to make a similar thread to my other one about killers we respect (or don't) but obviously it's a bit different for survivors since they all theoretically play the same but has anyone ever seen a survivor make a play or use a build that made you go "wow, props to you. I respect that"2 comments 51 views last activity

When I play survivor, I respect the hell out of a good Huntress. Huntress gameplay feels the most fair and when they do well, it's because of nothing but skill (typically). On the contrary, the second I see a Trickster or a Doc, I'm like "ugh, why?" We got no skill brain dead knife thrower and I can't find people so let me use my automatic tracking device to compensate and I just find them both28 comments 611 views last activity

Now I already know the title alone is enough to trigger 90% of the people in the forums but here me out. The game is balanced, but it's not balanced in a way that most of the player base likes. In a game that is 4 v 1, true BALANCE would mean an average of 2k/2 escapes meaning that in reality, killers should pretty much be barely killing that 2nd person and maybe be working towards a 3rd Now o29 comments 391 views last activity

Pretty much the title. As it is now, the cooldown is 90/75/60 when it should be more like 60/45/30. Or at the worst, 75/60/45 but a 60 second cooldown to sabo ONE hook at tier 3 is absurd for a perk that barely gets used. But what do yall think. tl;dr (even tho it's not a long post) Slightly decrease Saboteur's cooldown please24 comments 151 views last activity

This was especially true for me after the toolbox nerf but even before then, I believe that bringing toolboxes to Sabo hooks is better (by better, I mean more fun) than bringing toolboxes to rush gens. Sure you can argue that using a toolbox on a gen is more efficient and allows the match to end quicker but I'm not necessarily there to have quick matches. I want fun games. Moris have ALWAYS been stronger than keys. Period The only counterplay to a Mori is "don't get caught" and even the best players get caught so..... that's not counterplay. Keys on the other hand have many work around and more conditions to use. ALSO, they WILL be changed, but they aren't as pressing an issue as Moris were. So it makes sense to change them at different times. The bigger issue w11 comments 221 views last activity

Everyone (or at least everyone who is rational) knows that toxicity happens on both sides of the game. However, I hardly think the two sides are comparable or equal and here's what I mean by that. What are some typical things that survivors do that are considered toxic by their opponents? Click flashlights, t-bag, vault spam over pallets and windows.... I'll address the DS + Unbreakable towards the end of the thread because I know that's what all the angry people are going to come in here ready to yell about. edit: tl'dr I can think of multiple perks that I gain a lot from and I control when I use them versus a perk that depends on the killer tunneling me. I swear some of the things people say.... All these suggestions where people are like "Oh if they're in a SWF, no one should be able to use the same item" Or, "They should just deactivate Object of Obsession if a survivor is in a SWF" Please tell me forum gurus, how do you go about programming this into the game? Hello. It's me again. Your friendly altruistic survivor who runs We'll Make It, Borrowed Time, and For the People When I pull you off a hook and the killer is across the map somewhere chasing someone (which I know because I see the obsession icon wiggling and which you SHOULD know because you're on hook and can see everyone), it would be lovely if yall would stop running all the way to Jupiter b24 comments 271 views last activity

I mean within the past week, I've seen people say Soul Guard is a hard counter to Hex Totems (which I still don't understand). I've seen people say Soul Guard is the strongest perk survivors have gotten in the past year. I've seen so many people putting this perk on a pedestal and I don't get it. Soul Guard is literally only usable if the killer allows you to use it. Literally the counter to So9 comments 121 views last activity

I just played a match on Haddonfield where someone got hooked and they had Kindred. I was across the street and like 2 houses over in Haddonfield. There were 2 survivors who were literally at the gen in the next tile over from where our teammate was hooked. It's the community. By far. (you can skip ahead to paragraph 3 to get to my point) We can talk all day about moris, keys, ds + unbreakable, tunneling, camping, gen speeds, slugging and all the many bugs this game has with people getting stuck in hills but the community is honestly what makes this game for frustrating than anything else. There's always a post about the "Survivors rule book for killers" where killers are like "I don't have to play the way you want me to play. I do what I want" But then some of the same people actually have their own "Killers rule book for survivors" and say things like "It's not fair that the person with BT runs toward me to take a hit. It's actually entity biased. -You can't pallet stun the entity. -Block gens for 2 minutes, or block gens when a survivor is picked up -The entity can appear at any hook on the map -Can't be looped And just when the killers think that the entity is on their side, the entity can also -Block killers from leaving the trial -Block the killer from kicking a gen with Repressed Alliance And it'8 comments 81 views last activity

I'm confused about the way some people think so I'm going to set up a scenario (and I'm sure you all will understand the connection to DBD) and you all tell me what you think. The skill cap on a huntress is as high as the player can push her and some people are just beyond amazing and can make plays that not even a Nurse could pull off. And you can make all the arguments about what Billy and Spirit can do, but they can't do THIS. https://twitter.com/Queen_Kuro/status/1167056139915354117 At least, not that efficiently10 comments 131 views last activity

So I know everyone has their own bias on this argument, but I honestly think the whole "camping vs genrushing" argument is just a "Which came first, the chicken or the egg" question. Survivors "genrush" because of camping killers (I put "genrush" in quotation marks because I think it's a dumb term but that's for a different discussion) Killers camp because they feel like they're being "genrush12 comments 121 views last activity

Does anyone know why this happens? It's especially annoying when I run Saboteur because I'll pull someone off hook and then immediately try to heal them and the game phases me through them to sabo the hook. And while I enjoy sabo-ing hooks, it's not what I want to do in that moment and it happens every time. But even when Saboteur is out of the question, I still have to awkwardly stare at the p1 comments 21 views last activity

A+ to BHVR for implementing that change to Pyramid Head's cages. And I came here honestly just to see how much whining people are doing because they can't use scummy tactics anymore. But for those who are complaining, here's what you need to realize. The way the cage USED to be (so glad I can say that) had literally NO counters for a camping Pyramid Head, which if we're being honest was like15 comments 192 views last activity

So the new mechanic where all survivors die if everyone is hooked and no one can get off was implemented to "not waste time" or whatever. Cool. So when are we going to address killers slugging people and waiting 2-3 minutes for them to bleed out. And not just slugging for the 4k. I'm talking about being the only one left, hatch closed, and the killer just sitting there watching me bleed out bec5 comments 71 views last activity

So I'm not sure when the change happened but I noticed if you're struggling on hook and the last person alive gets hooked also, you both instantly die, regardless of how much time you had left to struggle. When did that mechanic change? I haven't been on the forums in months and I would also like to add "OMG, there's not a single thread on the first page complaining about SWF. The majority of Deathslingers I play against all have had a similar, very safe (which usually means boring) playstyle. They play like a boring Huntress who isn't confident in their hatchet throwing so they just bloodlust you and m1 you until you're forced to throw a pallet or vault a window, THEN they'll use their power. Fine. It's a safe way to play, although it's boring to go against. The pa15 comments 1,141 views last activity

You know, the one that happened last rank reset that put some people (me) back to rank 10 instead of rank 5 from rank 1. Kinda tired of being red ranks and I always get to rank 1 in a day and I hate it. It sucks to play with my lower ranked friends because I'm either too good for the killer we get, or they're too bad when we get a killer on my level. Plus the playstyle of a lot of red ranks is1 comments 21 views last activity

The main 2 challenges that stuck out to me from Level 4 of Tome 2 were The Doctor's and Spirit's challenges that require all survivors to be killed by any means. So I'm sensing a lot of slugging and Ebony Moris in my future. Not that you NEED to play like that to get 4ks, but some people out here...... get ready for it XD19 comments 371 views last activity

So there seems to be this ridiculous impression a large part of the community has regarding SWF. And I understand the frustration of bad matchmaking, coordinated teams, flashlight saves (which can be pulled off by solos), and seeming like you have no chance in a match. But here's the reality around I would say 95% of SWF teams. They aren't tactical Special Ops teams running super toxic and supe31 comments 781 views last activity

I think I've come to an understanding of the mindsets of survivor/killer players. This of course is a matter of opinion and is not encompassing of all people because people are complex. I'm genuinely curious here. For those who believe DBD is survivor biased, what are you basing this claim on? (My personal opinion is that the game is relatively balanced with 2-3 person SWF, slightly killer sided with all solos, and only slightly survivor sides with 4 man swf.) But like really what data ANYWHERE suggests this game is as survivor sided as people claim. Not looking for hypothet133 comments 3,125 views last activity
