Hey there, it looks like you’re new to the forum with only 3 posts. So first of all, welcome!
I agree that hackers are bad news, but I want to give you a friendly heads-up about the forum’s “naming and shaming” rule. Yes, I know, even though it’s a hacker and a cheater, we’re still not allowed to name other players for negative reasons.
It’s fine to vent some frustration generally, but not against specific people. You may want to edit your original post and remove the payer’s name before a moderator comes by with consequences. Push the little ‘gear’ icon on your post to get to the ‘edit’ option.
-
1st, I agree with you about being able to contribute beyond the required 40 (and, actually, are we sure that we can’t?)
2nd, if you finish everything early, don’t forget that the 4th page of the normal rift is still there to work on! I know, it doesn’t fully address your concern, but at least it’s something to work toward while you wait.
-
They did it right! Bloodhunt has nothing on this! (Though, didn’t they give us a surprise Bloodhunt near the end of an event recently? Oh just imagine the possibilities if that happens this time!)
-
Unrelated, but there’s a creepy anniversary statue in the basement!

Stupid question, where on the UI does it say how many rewards you've unlocked?
Couldn’t find it on the UI, but I found a useful list!
KILLERS
The Trapper
The Huntress
The Spirit
The Deathslinger
The Trickster
The Artist
SURVIVORS
Dwight Fairfield
Ace Visconti
Jane Romero
Yui Kimura
Elodie Rakoto
Mikaela Reid
You can check it out for yourself here if you want to:

about to check each surv
Ok, I can confirm that after finishing another with a survivor, I have received a mask for a killer (huntress). So it’s entirely random which mask you get, regardless of role.
-
Hmmm, don’t think so. I was playing Zarina and when I got back to lobby it popped up with an Elodie head mask. When I switched to her, the mask was available. As I understand, it’s random which one you get each time
The popup is only on the screen for a couple seconds, so you may have missed it when you were loading back to lobby.
I’m not sure who all gets a mask, but I’m pretty sure it’s only original characters, not licensed. And only a few of them. I’d say go look through inventories to see if someone has it. Remember, it could be on a killer as well!

I just escaped with the twinklies, but not sure what if anything happened, is there a mask in inventory somewhere?
Yes, it’ll pop up when you get back to your lobby. Also, escape doesn’t matter, once the gate opens, your mask is secured!

two matches, escaped twice no clue what Im even looking for LOL ran around looking didnt see anything just dipped
it looks like a totem pole / pedestal with skulls on it. About as tall as a survivor. You’ll hear a universal high-pitched “sheeeng” sound every time one appears/moves.
When you’re near, it’ll have a purple aura if it’s on the other side of a wall (range is short though, like 2 meters). I found mine between 2 stacks of crates against a T-L wall at Macmillan.
Once you get one, you’ll sparkle all match. Might make you a target, but it’s worth it!
-
I have the same question. I’m sure we’ll have an answer here shortly as it won’t take too long for someone to get 40 skill checks and tell us what happens.
-
I’m sure most of you know this, but why not:
When you’re at the main menu screen (where you choose to play killer or survivor), you’ll see 4 survivors sitting at the campfire. They change up between matches. Though I haven’t figured out the exact logic behind it, they seem to be survivors you’ve recently interacted with - cosmetics and all.
-
Just today I increased my controller’s turn sensitivity. It actually made a big difference in getting those hits when they’re twisting and turning in my face! Not sure right off, but I think it’s 75% sensitivity. Much higher than that and it’s way too easy to get turned around!
-
I got it when the killer was camping in the basement. I just hung out overhead and it counted.
The way games have been going today, it seems you may not have too much trouble finding a camper to work with.
-
If you end up on Lampkin Lane against him, then you’ve got problems. The game starts off with you already being in a 3-gen sort of situation.
Dredge doesn’t care about the gens in the street and the yards, because he can’t monitor them anyway with no nearby lockers. But he will guard house gens till his dying breath!
That’s why you must, MUST get at least one of those completed early on. (Maybe 2 depending on spawns). Do it between nightfalls, because he’ll get the killer instinct heartbeat and know exactly where you are if you try hiding in a house when it’s dark. Also, don’t commit to the gen too long. Work it a bit and run away, over and over till it’s done. It doesn’t take all that much time for Dredge to zip around to each house gen and recharge his power for another round.
After you get a couple house gens done, focus on the outdoor ones where he’s powerless. Easy win at that point!

I . . . it's. . . it's just too painful 😖
But I'll say it involved a very important pallet being thrown when the Killer wasn't even looking. And the last gen was right next to it and it was 98% done. And I was hooked. And the other teammate was injured, across the map, and dead on hook. And the other . . . ugh, I can't continue. Find me a fainting couch, please. I feel the room spinning beneath my feet.
Yikes! I think I can fill in the gaps in the story, but I’m not sure I want to! 🎶🎶Oh no, oh no, oh no no no no noooo🎶🎶

I actually did have one of those a little bir ago, though thankfully the mistake was the Survivors and not mine. Far to altruistic. Ill link the vid I saved to my YouTube, but long story short I played a Chest Protector Bubba, but they got to the basement before I could. Figured Id protect the items, but they quickly anniyed me doing clicky cpicky things. While obviously no proof, pretty certain it was a bulli SWF group. Figured Id play serious, get a bit better at chases, and due to their need for altruism sacrificed 3 and was avle to slug and orevent the 4th from getting out, got him with EGC
I just gotta say, I don’t think overly-altruistic counts as a mistake. It’s a life choice! A poor life choice at that. Leads to a rather short life.

This is a fun idea and I like it - I think on the downside some players might use that info to inform whether they want to dodge a lobby, or it could introduce a somewhat toxic expectation of conformity ("Bro we all showed our BPS and you bring a mori???") but on the flipside, the opportunities to encourage 5 murky reagents or other sillier things sounds like a lot of fun!
Yeah, you’re right about the downside there. Still, I feel that more info is better than less. we just let people do with it what they will. Toxic people will be toxic, but by and large I think it’ll help a great many people with the grind.

Often times, games are lost because of many wrong choices made throughout the game (this goes for Killer and Survivor). But have you ever played a game where ONE choice, ONE action, ONE second cost the whole game? I have. Last night was one of them.
Okay bud, this was a great lead up to what sounds like a juicy story - don’t keep us waiting! Let’s hear the details…
-
While we’re at it, please don’t disconnect while the match is loading - particularly when you see 3 or more cakes stacked in the offerings!
It happens so often, there’s no doubt that people are doing this just to grief the other players.
-
I’ll say this. When playing killer with 1 survivor left, there’s a big difference between carrying them to the hatch vs. them walking to it themselves.
When you carry them, you’re saying “I won, you know I won, but I’ll be merciful.”
When they walk to it, even if you led them there, the message gets muddied a bit and they may get it in their heads that they somehow won out.
Overall I like the addition of the auto-mori - cuz let’s be honest, the animations are awesome and need more screentime in a non-toxic manner! Still, I’m not thrilled of the only option being to either let the survivor find and take hatch themselves or brutally end their game.
-
I got it with Ghostface, so at least that one works.
-
- Tidal sea cave with periodic flooding of certain rooms and passages.
- Deep sea station or submarine (BioShock chapter perhaps?)
- Ski slope village on a steep angle. All uphill movement is slowed and downhill is accelerated.
- DBD warehouse loaded with props, sounds, and moving mannequins of all characters in the game.
- A New Orleans graveyard with the ability to enter some of the grave structures. (Imagine the Mardi Gras cosmetics that would certainly come with this chapter!)
-
Actually, this change provides counterplay to Dredge.
A lot of people may not know this, but if you only lock one of the double lockers, Dredge will teleport to the locked one. After he breaks out, you can now lock the other one and slow him down yet again when he comes back later.
-
First I agree that this is ridiculously annoying. I think I know the reason however. Now that MMR is in place, ranks don’t affect matchmaking. Therefore the goal isn’t to depip, it’s to reduce MMR ranking so that they get matched with easier opponents.
If I wanted to make an obnoxious guess, I’d say that they de-rank in the morning so that they can dominate while they have their stream Going in the evening.

Because it's hard to camp and get easy downs with NOED. What you suggest? Put some effort and play skillfuly during the match? Don't be ridiculous! Also all pallets, windows and second chances perks (probably it's about all perks) should... no, MUST be removed.
Hmm, now there’s a thought. EGC begins and ALL players have ALL perks/items/add-ons deactivated. All vanilla. All basekit. Obviously this would require a rework of the late game perks, but it would force everyone to finish the match relying on nothing but raw skill.
-
Dredge at Gideon.
Maybe throw in Darkness Revealed just for good measure.
Oh, whoops, you said survivor builds. Sry bout that! @KurnDisciple had really good ideas there. Don’t think I could beat them.
-
Lol reminds me of DBD mobile! For awhile it was alwaaaays I the basement!
What map are you playing on btw?
-
I had a similar issue here. I was on the rooftop as Bubba and somebody was working that gen right in front of the house. I revved up and dropped off the house. Right as I stepped over the edge, I got collision on nothing. Landed doing my tantrum.
So yeah, it seems that there are strange collisions all throughout that map!
-
Ok so I know it’s a typo in the title of this post, but “Dradge” is such an awesome name for this killer!
-
Bubba will put up with all sorts of things, but if you try to rob his basement chest, well……
🎶🎶…..but I won’t do thaaaat🎶🎶
-
I’ve rubberbanded from the killer side where I attack and the glitch completely swallows the swing. It’s as though the attack never even happened! I see the swing start, stutter, and then I’m just standing there as the survivor vaults to safety from what would’ve been a sure hit! Irritating.

I like it,
In order to not let it be exploited by SWFs for boosting purposes though, I'd add the caveat that a DC won't spread points to anyone you were teamed up with.
I agree! However even if this limitation isn’t applied, I don’t see too much harm coming from it.
Your teammate can earn, at best, 32,000 points. When they DC, you get 8,000 from them. Go buy 2 medkits from the bloodweb and then wait out the DC penalty with them before you load in again. Do this more than a couple times and the hour+ penalties will far outweigh any earnings.
On top of this, you still have to finish the match a man down.
Now don’t get me wrong, it’s a great idea and I fully support it. I’m just saying it would be hard for SWF to abuse this.
-
First night of release I found the ps4 controls to be confusing. I would teleport to my remnant when I meant to go to a locker. Or I’d time out before teleporting to a locker after I let go of the Gloaming button. You have to be pretty quick about it if you just use just one trigger finger like I do.
Anyway, it gets a lot better after a few games of practice. Biggest issue now is fine-tuning my aim so I teleport to the locker that I actually intended to target.

Hex: Devour Dredge
and considering what he's said to look like, I'm in ;)
Edit- to clarify, I mean turkey
I think we should, ahem, call-of-BRINE him first!
-
Does garden of joy even have an offering? I went through plenty of bloodwebs yesterday and never saw one.
-
Quick & Quiet and Deception.
Deception the first locker and leap into the one beside it. You may still get grabbed, but it might buy you enough time for the “escape chase” scoring event

That’s what I thought when I went in and tried to select two today. I can’t recall, maybe they did say it was for a latter update.
Glad I’m not the only one, lol

This is tentatively slated for Fall 2022. The only QOL updates we got today was the new menu and the preset loadouts.
Ah, that makes sense. Ok thx for the info!
-
Since dbd is all about the mindgames, I think chess would be a great mini-game to add in!
- -Speed mode with a randomized board setup - as though you’re finishing some existing match.
- -Checkmate/Win by points - queen=7, rook=5, knight/bishop=3, pawn=1. If the DBD match starts before checkmate, then whoever captured the most points wins!
-
Bloodhunt. 2 party streamers and one event cake.
So of course the guy who brought a brown offering decides to D/C on the loading screen. Why take bonus points when you could deny so much to 4 other players?!
-
My only complaint with this is that, so far, all killers are humanoid. Maybe if this were some sort of spider queen who controls spiders or is even part spider herself…. But whatever we get should still walk on 2 legs I think.
-
For an overall “type” of perk, I’d propose “Psycho” or “Phobia” perks! These are perks that affect a survivor’s mind in some way. Perhaps there’s a selected Psycho each game, just like there’s an Obsession, which can sometimes change.
Below is s a perk idea just off the top of my head.
Psycho:Hemophobia - the overwhelming terror at the sight of blood causes the Psycho survivor to be unable to heal other survivors.
If injured, the Psycho becomes so obsessed with stopping the bleeding that nothing else matters. Upon injury, the Psycho gains the haste status for 14/12/10 seconds, but can NOT stop running forward after the haste expires. To stop running, the psycho must interact with a Clotting Glyph which is only visible to the Psycho, and only within 6 meters. After this interaction, the Psycho must heal within 3 minutes or else the bleeding - and running - begins again. Though still injured, there will be no pools of blood after interacting with the glyph.
Perhaps this should be like a hex where the status can be destroyed, but perhaps not. What do you think?
-
I think there should be piles of dirt/leaves/debris around the map. 10-20 of them (RNG can pick a fair number.) Spend 5 seconds to clear one and see if there’s a totem there. Use your ears because hexes can still make noise. This would also make boons a bit more difficult to place.
-
You can’t beat an opponent that can’t be found, isn’t that right @CLAUDETTEINABUSH ?
-
i play on PS4, so any killer that requires precise aim is a no-go for me. Yes, it’s possible to be good with them, but this would take for more practice time than I’m willing to invest.
The worst offenders for me are:
- - Blight
- - Pinhead
Other headaches worth mentioning include:
- - Nurse
- - Artist
- - Huntress
- - Trickster
- - Pyramid Head
A couple originals, and then pretty much every new killer except Onryo…..

Alright, I'm back with the term I forgot.
Non Euclidean Spaces. Using that idea, the devs could make your idea work.
But then you still have the problem of some maps not having a shack or main building.
Hey there! I know this is a delayed response, but thank you for the thoughtful replies to my idea. Non-Euclidean Spaces sounds like a pretty advanced piece of programming, but if it’s something the devs could handle, then I’d love to see something like this enter the game!
Oh yeah, you mentioned earlier a concern that this perk would make the basement significantly more difficult to escape. That’s true, and is part of the power of the perk, but I’d also like to remind you that there will be staircases at opposite ends of the basement. This makes it impossible for the killer to intercept all escapees since they can just leave through the other end. Multiple survivors could split up and use both staircases so the the killer has to choose who to pursue. This guarantees that at least someone will reach safety.
-
While the soft cookies are indeed better, we’re neglecting the undisputed champion which is, of course, cookie dough!
Its like arguing about the best super power to have and limiting yourself to flight or invisibility. Hands down, nothing beats time manipulation!
-
The first time this happened to me, I was intently reading an add-on description in the bloodweb….
😱
-
Oni
- He’s generally respected as a balanced killer
- He’s powerful enough to actually scare good survivors
- He can effectively use a wider variety of perks due to his cross-map speed / overall pressure
- He will be rewarding while learning (unlike nurse), and still rewarding once mastered
