I played a claudette match, got up to the 30 mark when the bar dissappears then its just the rifty yoke icon but in orange. Then I escaped. Afterwards I didn't seem to unlock it is there some other step I missed?

You won’t see the reward until you return to the lobby, and it only pops up for a few seconds. Be sure to mouse over it so you can read which character it’s for.

You were probably not paying attention when you returned to lobby, so you may want to cycle through your characters to see if you can find it. Could be survivor OR killer though.

  • Heads up that you may need to restart your game if you were playing before the event tome opened. I still couldn’t select a challenge after it went live. Restarting fixed this.

How does it work? I ran at mine in a straight line and was able to collect it (it was in the lobby exit gate area in RPD, the one you really commonly spawn into.) So there's definitely a decent grace period.

Does it make a warning sound effect? How long do you get Exposed? Does it take corn/bushes into effect, or only solid objects?

It does sound like a really neat idea for a glyph, though.

I did mine at Coldwind, so I was definitely struggling as it does not seem to account for corn stalks. There’s a sound when you’re nearby, but I don’t recall a warning sound. Just the “exposed” sound and the whoosh as it disappeared.

I didn’t time it, but it feels like i was exposed for 30 seconds.

  • simple fix is get rid of depip. Safety, 1 or 2. I agree and think this needs to happen.

  • If I remember my buttons right, you’ll use L1.

R1 is the normal “search locker” button, but L1 will let you step inside instead. As was mentioned earlier, it’ll only work once your teleport tokens have recharged.

  • Have fun and make a game out of it. Tally up a “mori streak”.

    • Bring a mori and play normal, no camp or tunnel allowed.
    • If you manage to mori someone, then you get to bring another one next game!
    • Rinse and repeat until you fail to get a mori.
    • Count up how many mories you got during your streak. (If you mori all 4 survivors in one match, that counts as 4). Set this many mori offerings aside for bloodpoint bonuses after the update.
    • When ready, throw down another mori and try to beat the old streak.

This will split your mori pool between immediate satisfaction fun and future investment!

Side note, I don’t think I’ve ever said “mori” so many times in a single post!

  • Imagine you’re the 1st survivor hooked. If someone else brings Skill Socket, then maybe they’ll swap for that Deliverance you have activated. Then at least someone will get some use from it!

Maybe your teammate with loads of Fast Track stacks is struggling with chases and likely to die. Go get those stacks added to your loadout and put them to use!

This perk has great potential, but comes at the cost of a blank perk slot until you get a swap.

  • So funny when this happens and then the hatch spawns right under the slug!

Are we all really disappointed there are less Bubbas!? 🤔

In all seriousness, yes. As a survivor, they’re one of the funnest killers to go against (when they don’t camp and actually play that is). He’s purely M1 in the chase sense.

    • When he’s behind you, you know he’s going to stay there and not teleport somewhere else.
    • He doesn’t have any map elements that make you doubt your next pallet or valult (like traps or range attacks)
    • He has insta-down built in: high risk/high reward - so you can loop tightly to increase that risk for him. This also helps to keep your own heart-rate up!
    • You can beat him! And that’s fun! But you’d better play carefully cuz 1 mistake will cost you dearly!

And that’s why we love Bubbs!

  • I’ve noticed the same thing! Lately I’ve been doing my part to help out - as well as a little P.R. campaign.

It’s Bubba, m2 only, party streamers, 8 hooks, 4 escapes, lots of spinning and nodding and revving anytime I’m not actually chainsaw sweeping! This nets everybody lots of points, fun chases, and an overall good time!

Yeah thats pretty much it. I've never used detection perks aside from bbq on certain builds, and anytime I use whispers it janks me all up. I need a reverse spinechill >,<

For whatever reason, Spies From The Shadows has a bad reputation - especially when compared with Whispers. That said, if you haven’t tried it, it’s a game changer! Prepare for a new perk addiction because it’s strong on really every killer!

  • The Boom Build

    • Overcharge
    • Oppression
    • Eruption
    • Jolt
    • (swap one for Brutal Strength if you prefer)

    Fun on Nemmy.

    Evil on Doctor.

    Works with anyone

  • Spies is better than Whispers.

    There, I said it!

  • Well, you know how these fixes go. Correct one problem and then……POP…….. something else breaks!

So you would gain more BP by playing the role that's already saturated? Seems counterproductive.

You could just switch to the role in need, get a flat BP bonus and help ease queue times for everyone.

Hmmm, good point. However this also helps people who can’t find many players at their MMR.

Regardless, it’s not any great amount of bloodpoints - 25 minutes get 3,000 points for a brown node. This is more psychological than anything. When you see the number tick up second by second, it makes the wait seem a little more worth it.

  • @BubbleBuster said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/334576/how-about-a-long-queue-bonus

imo this should rather be a multiplier for points earned that match once you get it. else i see people abusing it to get passive BP by messing with their internet connection to block connection to the server but allowing you to be logged in. that might cause more trouble than it is worth

Fair concern, but I don’t think it’d be a problem. After waiting the first 2 minutes, it would take you 1,000 seconds to earn 2,000 bloodpoints. This works out to nearly 17 minutes, and not even enough to buy a brown node in the bloodweb.

They would have to be realllly intent on exploiting this to get any real benefit.

  • Some people get their jollies from griefing others. They don’t have the skill to be a toxic survivor, so they go to the killer role. They don’t have the skill to win in that role either, but getting 1 survivor hooked is enough for their purposes - camp and BM, maybe score a DC or two.

  • I’ve said it before, DBD Mobile did it right in this regard. Shared inventories that is.

  • @PNgamer said:

No, then the people who go to work and have a real life would hardly be able to enjoy it.

Of course they would! They’d get to see other people’s items and hooks! Lol

Just kidding, but maybe such items would maintain their appearance if someone gives it to you…at least for that match.

Regardless, since it’s merely a cosmetic, it rewards playtime but does not provide advantages - therefore it does not harm people with fewer hours.

  • You know what I think would be awesome? Devotion levels unlocking new skins for items or hooks! Like charms, but far more noticeable!

  • The consumer sets the economy. As long as players keep paying at the set price, then the price remains.

  • @Faen said:

The fact that survivors can put the gate on 99. I consider it a problem.

Not starting the gate, but leaving it at 99. Survivors get endgame advantages. They are hardly affected by the collapse

Opening the gate should be a definite choice. Which the survivor goes to in order to open a path to victory. But right now that choice isn't there. Almost always experienced players set the gate to 99, ignoring any choice.

Rolling the gate back can be done up to 75% to give the last survivor a chance to escape.

    Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

That’s a interesting idea. I could imagine having the gate progress being locked-in in 25% increments.

If you get the 1st bulb lit, then it’s 25% done. If you do 30% and let go, then it’ll regress back to 25%. To lock in your progress, you have to get to 50% (2 bulbs) or 75% (3 bulbs). They should add a 4th bulb for fully open gates.

If you want to hold it at 99, then somebody needs to stand there to tap it over and over since it’ll keep trying to regress to 75%.

I think his would be a healthy change for the game!

  • Use Left Behind to see the hatch aura. Bring a pebble and throw it near the hatch to get killer’s attention. (Don’t throw AT the hatch or he might just think you’re trolling and not come.)

  • I miss Billy. I see him on verrrry rare occasion, and when I do it’s usually a player who’s feeling salty and just want ps to vent with some camping or slugging.

  • I agree with your interpretation of it. If you have a P3 character, then you start off at level 3 - THEN it adds on the perk calculation to see if you go beyond.

  • I think producing loud noise notifications while NOT in chase is pretty conspicuous. In particular from vaulting.

And this is an issue why... literally who cares who high people get to in the bloodpoints. It literally doesn't matter. if they earned those bloodpoints... let them have it lmfao

You hit the nail when you said ”if they earned it”. As I understand it, people historically did NOT earn their points, they hacked instead. Supposedly this is the reason that the bp cap was implemented in the first place.

That said, I don’t see the harm in raising the limit.

  • I think if they don’t remove or raise the cap, then they should at least start counting all rift and daily ritual earnings as “bonus” - like the login bonuses we get sometimes - so that we can go above the million cap and the bonus points are spent first in the bloodweb.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/331564/survivor-opinion-is-dredge-oh-boy-or-dc

I haven't played against a Dredge yet. I played Dredge when he celebrated out, but I haven't seen one throughout the event even as survivor.

I see survivors making more mistakes (deadharding into walls especially lol) so I can see why it's frustrating for survivors. Nightfall impairs the survivors and reduces one of their greatest strengths; 3rd person view.

I use the add on with Nightfall in the beginning paired with Lethal Pursuer. So the survivors start off impaired, but don't realize that I am barreling down on them lol

I'm a low-mid skill killer so he could be more of a hassle against newer/less skilled players.

I like the build you mentioned! I’ve seen a lot of Dredges in my games, and the “start in nightfall” add-on seems to be heavily used. For that reason I’ve tried other things and here’s one you might like:

    • Instead of Lethal Pursuer, use Darkness Revealed. Just open a locker right at the start. 9 times out of 10 you’ll see auras, so it’s the same effect as Lethal, but reusable!
    • My favorite add-on is Worry Stone. When survivors lock a locker, you see their aura. So if you see an aura just appear for no apparent reason, teleport over there ASAP. They just locked a locker, so you know they’re inclined to perform this action. Target a locker NEAR the aura (not the one they just locked). Usually they’re headed to the next locker over anyway. I’ve gotten so many jumpscare grabs this way and you just KNOW that the player let out a gasp at the minimum! Even if they don’t try to lock it and get grabbed, you know there’s someone very close to start a chase with.
  • @Entitled_survivor said:

I always go for the unhooker unless it's an annoying survivor i want to get off the game asap OR if the unhooked person aggressively bodyblocks me,,,,in that case i will tunnel them through ds and everything and they can cry all they want

I’m pretty much the same way. “Oh, you really wanted my attention, huh? Well now you’ve got it!”

  • I think a fair effect would be to prevent any buffs while exhausted

It could only negate effects from teammates (ie Kindred, Prove Thyself, Leader, and really anything else except Vigil - since that’s what Vigil is all about.)

Of course, we could make it affect your own perks as well (Resilience, Iron Will, your own Boons, Hope, etc.)

Maybe throw in aura blindness as well, but that could maybe be too big a nerf to Windows of Opportunity.

Personally, I think the most fair idea is the first - just preventing shared effects from teammates.

  • I’ve seen discussions suggesting that Dredge caused this. Midwich used to have plenty of hooks, often 2 in the same hallway. However, additional lockers were added to maps for Dredge. This may be interfering with Midwich’s hook spawns.

  • I’m All Ears. It’s not a build, but this perk is so good for getting jumpscare whips when they come looping around a corner!

  • It’s one of my favorite maps with Dredge!

  • for events like this, I want to look back and see how much I earned in certain matches. What map was I in? Have I played with this person before? Aha, I knew that name sounded familiar!

Maybe just give us a running list of the last 10 “match result” screens.

  • They spawn when you get hooks or complete generators. Are you sure that you’re doing these objectives in your matches?

Also, when the gate opens and EGC starts, look around. All the glyph auras will show for a couple seconds.

  • I’d add a negative status to holding a cassette tape. Blindness, oblivious, a slowdown to actions… something like that to give survivors a bit more incentive to trek across the map and get rid of it. Or incentive to risk working a gen while leaving the nearby tv active.

    • Find 2 fuel cans each for 2 of your generators. Even though you repaired them, 2 of them still need some gas!
    • Defeat the killer! No, he’s too powerful to take on directly, but you can use teamwork and cunning. Find the appropriate components. Construct a trap, and get him in it. Hold him there as he struggles to escape. If he runs out of energy, he passes out and you win! If he breaks free, well, now you’re waaaaay behind on gens! Maybe try the tap again?
    • Swirch sides! You got caught, but rather than being sacrificed, you are converted. As the killer’s new minion, who will you betray first?
  • “ggwp” —> [Leave Match]

When you don’t get flustered at the end, or give them time to type something which will fluster you, then you can treat each game as a training match. “These guys are good. Let’s see if I can counter a juke by backpedalling.” Did it work? Did it not? Oh well, “ggwp” —> [Leave Match] and on to the next. It’s all about mindset!

  • @Gindaen said:

Exactly. It should have had the rummage buff on it too. Chests are usually just randomly opened by solo queue players, so when you get hurt and are running Pharmacy, you'll be screwed.

Dang, this is actually a nerf. In its current state, you can at least search a chest early and squirrel the medkit away behind a tree somewhere. After the change, you’ll be outta luck by the time you need it!

  • Well now I’m intrigued! Next time I go to Midwich I need to look thoroughly with a critical eye.

Maybe there actually are indicators that are obscure and went unnoticed! Rooms with blobs on the tables or certain decorations on the hallway walls outside? Hmmmmm

  • @Bwsted said:

I’m leaning more toward oversight, cuz this shooooould be a really easy fix I’d think. But then, I’m no programmer, so who knows.

  • Oh the irony, a Wraith complaining that something is hard to see clearly…

(lol, ok, I know that sounds salty, but it’s not intended. Purely meant as humor! )

  • Noticed it just today. Lost my last survivor to hatch because they wiggled off. Went down near the 1 broken hook in the area, near top of stairs, and I simply couldn’t make it to another!

Yea someone else said it too :) Thanks for the response anyways! was a little worried this would FORCE you to prestige to get tier 3 since i couldnt find any information... But its fine then!

Not a problem, it looks like the others answered you while I was typing. I’m sure you’ve seen the Dev Notes on this, but juuuuuust in case, here’s the link to all the info.

  • @FlameGNG said:

Ok now this doesnt apply to everyone but i have all perks on nea and dwight which are the only 2 i really play... All survivors are almost hte same with some being queiter than others but thats minimal. There isnt really and reason to play all of them. So most players only have 1 - 3 survivors they main. Now if this update is like i think it is that means that i will lose all my current perks because i dont prestige my survivors. I've had all perks for a very long time and i've played since 2017 the ONLY reason i've prestiged some survivors are because they are my mains and i wanted the achievement thats it, there hasnt been another reason to prestige other than that. So now if this changes the current perks i have this means that i will have to prestige EVERY survivor to get back to my current perk state on Nea and Dwight. How does that reduce grind?

On killer i can agree that it kinda does... They all have a different power so it makes more sense to have every perk on all the killers than on all the survivors...

Because if my perks get downgraded well then idk how they think thats gonna reduce grind:p

Does anyone KNOW how they will do if you already have maxed out teachables on some survivors but not the survivor at prestige 3?? or can you still upgrade them from the bloodweb or is it ONLY prestige based? (i know it gets unlocked on all survivors automatically when i do prestige them)

No need to worry! Here’s a quote from the Dev Notes yesterday under the heading Transitioning to the New System.

”When the system releases, we’ll be automatically awarding existing players an appropriate number of prestige levels based on how many perk tiers they’ve unlocked. If you’ve left all your characters at level 50 and focused on unlocking perks, your work won’t be for nothing.

It's also important that you don’t lose anything when the system is updated. You will keep any perks and bloody prestige cosmetics that you’ve already unlocked. “

In other words, you don’t have to restart your Nea and Dwight. They’ll still have everything that they currently have. If you don’t need perks from other survivors, then just ignore them and focus on these two. Put your money into items and add-ons. Prestige them for skins/charms or just a higher number to show off on the results screen if you want to. There’s no downside, so you might as well.

This big part is when a new survivor comes out. Prestige the new person once, and your Dwight and Nea (and all others) will automatically get those 3 new perks! Then you have a choice - prestige the new person 2 more times to give everyone the perks at tier 3, OR just go back to Dwight and Nea and get the new perks to tier 3 by going through a few bloodwebs on each of them (like we currently do now).

  • Not losing all my stuff when I prestige seals the deal for me! I’ve got about 200 event cakes on my Dredge from getting all the perks. What a shame it would be to lose all that for prestige.

Well, now I won’t have to! The dev notes said that prestige will put the character back to level 1, but without losing anything. Well, I take this to mean level 1 bloodweb - that thing is tiny! And it remains tiny for about25 levels or so. Getting backup to level 50 for another prestige won’t really be all that costly and I can just rake in the add-ons along the way!

  • Edit, I asked a stupid question. Please disregard.

  • @Crowman said:

Pretty sure they are just adding the condition that if you put a survivor into dying state then the blocked gens are no longer blocked. It'll still end after 2 minutes.

Makes the perk less good as a generic perk on all killers and only really good on killers that need the early setup.

Yeah, I think you’re right, but I still wish it had been written more precisely in the developer notes.

That why I wanted to make this thread, you know, just in case. In the event that they actually DID remove the 2-minute time limit, then an AFK killer could hold the game hostage since survivors could only repair 4 gens. Hopefully this brings it to their attention if they actually did make such an oversight.

i don't know but his remnant "anti" loop power feels a bit weak. when i teleport to it, it always get disoriented and the survivor is out of my way. any tips on how to place it the best way

If they’re good survivors who seem to know how to handle your power, then try this:

Lets say you’re at an AutoHaven loop with a pallet between 2 cars and the survivor is standing in the pallet. Face the pallet and plop out a shard (remember, you always come out of the shard facing the same direction as when you create it). Now back up to go the other way around the loop.

If the survivor stays at the loop, then they’ll be between you and your shard. Often they’ll throw the pallet at this point and slowly approach your shard - they’re trying to bait your teleport. When they feel they’re in striking range of a teleport hit, they’ll suddenly run and vault the pallet. If you teleported, you’ll miss. If you don’t, then just let go of your power and slash them as they vault into your waiting arms! You might even get a pallet grab!

It’s hard for survivors to watch you and your shard at the same time, so there’s definitely mindgame potential here. Doesn’t work every time, but it’s the best way I know for hitting the better survivors. Of course, if they just run from the loop then you’re back to being an M1 killer.
