Not only does time not exist in the entity's world, it also doesn't exist in the real world we live in. Survivors and killers just have their own knowledge created by the environment/century they used to live in. But as the entity's world is nothing like the real world, it's knowledge that can hardly be used. No matter what decade you're from.
About the hatch, there's nothing linking to it being a time machine. When escaping through the hatch survivors just go back to the campfire they can not escape.
You forget that the hatch was created by someone else, not the Entity itself, that means that whoever created the hatch managed to escape. What we see in the game is not the real hatch, just a copy -
The cracker will transform into an acid that'll eat the floor when dropped, thus making the survivor die instantly
-
Well, the hatch is just a copy that the Entity created. Therefore, there is a real hatch through which someone escaped.Milo said:So... If whoever created the hatch actually managed to escape to the real world.
What? Who said they escaped?
Also this should be in lore subforum i think

Mmmm, that sounds pretty legit 😂Rebel_Raven said:The guy who escaped?
He stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished… He woke to find himself trapped in the past, facing mirror images that were not his own and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. His only guide on this journey is Al, an observer from his own time, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Sam can see and hear. And so Dr. Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home. -
Dude, dont say it out loud, survivors could ask for a nerf... 😜

I believe you can play with a controller on PC. But beware, PC is a more competitive platform for Dead by Daylight. Console is much more casual.
... I like PC better.
console is competitive, I just want to play bill without buying a pc or playing l4d
It is really competitive, trust me. The fact that there are not as many people playing the game on console makes them team up with the few people they meet in the game, thus resulting in more SWF than solo, thus resulting in them trying to play as their fav youtubers, who also play SWF of course. -
It doesnt necessarily have to come from the first part, It could be a problem from the second code line as well.AlwaysInAGoodShape said:Yes, we're talking about the bonus BP here. The bugs came from the initial part.
They probably have some sort of increasing BP method
IncreaseBP()
They are probably able to refer to which category needs increasing with a single reference and set up the conditions for that to happen (which is equipping the perk.
The only thing that needs changing about the distressing code is changing the condition to equipping Prove Thyself while performing a coop, change the numbers, change the categories.
It can be that their code is not as well-structured, but those 3 variables should be the main 3 things. Now the main thought comes of course from the core part of prove-thyself. This should in any possible case be as easy as changing a few numbers in the script, unless I'm missing something.
If the entire code line was scripted as:
Code line 1: "Each time someone equips Prove Thyself, additional BP are provided"
Code line 2 (if code line 1 is applied): "At least 2 or more survivors must be working on the same gen to activate a 100% of additional BP.
Maybe the percentage of BP is in the second code line.
I dont remember very well how It works with more that 2 options but I do remember that one code line is for activation and the other is the actual rule of when it should be activated or not.
Or maybe it's a completely different problem that relies on the game not being able to properly read those code lines because there are other code lines that negate them or even change the way they work in some kind of way (preference most likely). -
Code lines are really complex.
I remember when I was in high school I had a teacher who told me that a single "." or "-" could change the code line completely.
Maybe the code line for the BP bonus is just two words and the code line to actually activate that BP bonus is way more complex. Ex:
"BP bonus activates" = Code line 1.
"BP bonus can be activated when x amount of survivors are working on the same gen." = Code line 2.
That second code line is completely different from any code line of a different perk (like Distressing) therefore they have to write it from the start.
Keep in mind that any wrong letter in a code line can result in big problems. -
As if nerfing the only killer that can face SWF (which is more than 50% of the playerbase) is the way to balance the game...xChrisx said:They did the right choice because she's broken, and a nerf can come only if everyone disconnect.
Against a nurse i dont dc because in dont want a ban ofc but i let me die on the hook as fast possible for move into the next game.
How about we buff all killers to the Hillbillys lvl and then nerf the Nurse? :0 -
I dont really have a problem with that honestly, I've been finding games pretty fast, even when playing as 4 ppl SWF

Here's what happened yesterday: Being a 50/50 player I decided to torture myself by playing SOLO survivor. As any good solo survivor I run kindred as I expect to get camped since most killers chase me for about 3 gens. I don't care about escaping I just want to be a good team mate so I run kindred allowing survivors to finish gens quicker, open the gates and get the hell out.Yesterday however I had one of my moments and looped a pig in "the game" for literally ALL gens before it caught me. When I got hooked I expected the other survivors to open the gates so I can kill myself on hook and punish the baby killer for being stubborn. Instead of opening the gates they swarmed the hook even though I got facecamped. The killer wouldn't stop hitting me so he really didn't care about the 4k anymore.
But guess what. They swarmed the hook and ALL of them died. People... Really? I run kindred so you can see each other AND the camping killer yet you decide to give a baby killer his 4k even though he clearly deserved nothing but me in this case?
IF someone runs kindred PLEASE do gens, open the gate and wait for the kindred survivor to give you a clear signal about what he wants. If he kills himself on hook after you have opened the gates then that's what he wanted in the first place. If he wiggles his hands and struggles - THAT'S when he wants to get saved.
this makes no sense, the perk kindred is used to check the locations of survivors before unhooking
-
Not many survivors have the brains to recognize when a killer plays fair and good at the same time.
I've been called toxic for not letting the last guy escape, for playing as an specific character or having specific perks/add-ons, for slugging when all survivors are in the same area, etc.
I still get GGs tho, but rarely when I play against SWF and I get the 4k. Most of those GGs come from solo players or 2 men SWF...
Honestly, just play as you want and dont give a (bad word) about what they call you, that's what I do.

Barbacue doesnt serve a purposse no more because of how many counters It has, Ruin is destroyed at the first 15 seconds of the match. The other 2 perks he would run dont really matter because almost no perks work well with Nurse since she doenst need them. That means that even if he had perks he would be playing without them. Meanwhile we have survivors playing with Dead Hard, DS, etc, which cant be destroyed at the first 15 seconds and have counters that take a lot of time for the killer. And also, survivors were playing without toolboxes... It would be kind of Ok if they all had a toolbox or Leader but honestly... 4 mins gens without toolboxes is pretty damn broken.
Gen Rush is real and needs a fix. Sloppy butcher. Nurses calling. NOED. Blood warden. You’re just uninspired
* Sloppy: Yh, 10 more seconds to heal, right...
* Nurse's Calling: Useless in red ranks unless you are playing as a killer with less than 28m TR.
* NOED: What's the point of having that perk if totem spots are seen from miles away and are also right next to gens?
* Blood Warden: Again, what's the point if It can only be used once and by the time you get someone the hooked guy is saved...Now you’re just being a contrarian for the sake of not wanting to concede. Quit bitching
Yh, cuz you dont see my point, which is:
He is playing without perks, but even if he'd be playing with perks that would not make a big difference because the perks that actually do something rely too much on luck (Ruin) or have too many counters (BBQ). They dont rely on the killer being a good player (unlike survivors).
Killers literally rely on the survivors making mistakes.
Take fighting games for example. Yes, you can punish your opponent if they make a mistake or you can predict how they are gonna play and counter them.
As killer you have no way to predict if a player spawns near your Ruin or a survivor who gets inside a locker or runs distortion.
The fact that killers cant have the possibility to predict how a survivor is gonna play is awful, add to that the fact that killers dont have enough time to wait for survivors to make a mistake in order to punish them because of the time It takes gens to be done and you'll have a game that needs a big change on it's core mechanics.
What about the perks I said? You seriously immediately lept back to the perks you yourself already explained? I provided an actual build, prove to me why running that wouldn’t make a difference.
How many times have you got a kill with Blood Warden active?
How many totems are near gens or can be seen from a mile away?
How many times have you seen a red rank survivor healing with Nurse's calling when playing as a killer that has 32m TR?
I could see a point on using Thanatophobia instead of Ruin if the numbers on that perk were not awful...
The only strong perks that make a difference in this game are Ruin (if It lasts for at least 1 hook and no gens done) and Barbacue if you have hooks nearby when you down a survivor. -

Arent SWF players allways ganging up? In a game where there shouldnt be communication...?
Ganging up as killer seems fair, lets not forget that there'll be 8 survivors on the map, that means 7 people can bodyblock... -
Is this live?
If this is live servers I dont know why you'd make this post. If not, well... They should keep working on totem spots...
-
This are the reasons why I stopped playing Nurse on Ps4.
Maybe devs didnt want a higher sensibility because of the frame rate, moving your camera at a higher speed and having to deal with low fps could make you go blind each time you turn around.
-
Even if he sucks now, I still think he is pretty fun to play as if you go around hitting multiple ppl.
Dont worry he'll be fixed, devs cobfirmed that they are not done with him yet. -
Just check your instagram, it's what I do...
-
The spawns dont really matter since all totems follow a patern. There will always be totems in the T walls, Jungle Gyms, some Hills, in the Shack or near it, and of course near a gen.
You can try a loadout full of totem perks in a Kill Your Friends match to check exactly the spawns, but they are usually in those areas. -
Love almost all of them, I would just make 2 changes:
Give the Lithe vault speed buff to Windows of Opportunity.
Fired Up should give tokens each time you hook a new survivor. -
Because devs dont want to difference between solo and swf.Axelson said:@tt_ivi_99 said:
Nurse is exactly what all killers should be like, a force to fear in the eyes of survivors. When survivors play against her they are not in control of the match, unlike when playing against any other killer.
Every killer below Billy tier is weak in this game, Billy and Nurse are a great example of power and they can make matches more even against SWF. They basically are the counter to SWF.
That being said, you just need to play super stealthy, try to be as unpredictable as you can or play SWF because the Nurse is staying as she is right now.
Do you know that don't all the players are swf, right? I play 99,9% of my matches solo, only sometimes (it passes very rare) i play with my friends, the last time i did it was in november. Why solo players have to suffer too because of swf?
I've always thought that killers should have different tiers; tier 1 against solo, tier 2 against 2 SWF and so on... -
Should be able to kick the gen as well.

Not really, It could have been just a noob with good luck. You never know how good that match will be if you dont stay.

Pallet Slamming a Legion before he gets the first hit on you, change my mind.
-
I dont really have a problem with being camped at the end-game, I just get mad when I get camped when there are 2-3 gens left.
That doesnt mean Im against your thoughs tho, something has to be done with the end-game. -
I really like everything here except the "gens malfunction", instead It should be an x% of slower repairing speed to all survivors for 1-2 mins.
Edit:
Also survivors should sabotage at least one of the hooks to calm the entity and therefore being able to escape. If none of the special hooks have been sabotaged bloodwarden will be active until one hook has been sabotaged, thus adding a second objective to survivors.
"Once a person has been hooked on 1 of the 2 hooks, the hook that you didn't use will be permanently broken, and falls of the wooden structure as if it were sabotaged. And with this your choice is settled."
Instead of being broken, just make the hook change colour. When the colour is different the hook works as a normal hook but is half-damaged (progression bar to sabotage It is at half)
-
Dont worry, it'll be fixed when 2.5.0 hits live
-
Spirit may look a little off, but it's a +18 game so... I dont really have a problem with that costume. David has an "outfit" which is waaaay more provocative and it's not even that bad.
And about Feng... She doesnt look like a pornstar or anything like that. She looks elegant and sexy, that's what a girl on a dress should look like, just like those Party Dwight costumes. -
The only reason why Deep Wound effect is a thing on this killer is because he was designed to slow the game down just a lil bit.
His power is meant to hurt a lot of people and keep them like that for a couple of seconds to keep chaining hits to different survivors, therefore having at least 2 people hurt. This is where Deep Wound comes to play as it gives those extra seconds needed to have a good amount of survivors hurt. That being said, his power needed some kind of way to hit everyone pretty fast and then they gave him the ability to vault pallets.
The only problem with Legion is that he doesnt have any counterplay. His power literally doesnt give a (bad word) about survivors defenses. The only way to actually balance this character is to encourage people to use his power just to hurt multiple survivors, not down them. His power should NOT be lethal because there is legit no counterplay to it. And then buff his base movement speed to 115% to compensate for that nerf to his power.
With those changes he would still have multiple survivors hurt and they would also be forced to heal instead of laughing at him and staying hurt. Right now I dont ever heal to full health because he is a 110% movement speed killer. He'd be waaay better with 115%.
-
The only not mindgame-able loops (which I assume you think about the "line of sight loops") are found on Autohaven and they can be mindgamed by ussing the killer's power.
Yh some pallets can spawn pretty near to each other and I think they should get the same treatment as hooks on the 2.5.0 update but other than that I wouldnt reduce the number.
Edit:
About that "braindead-easy and requires no skill" comment... Try hidding your light by moonwalking, stand still facing the pallet when line of sight is broken or be decisive when ussing your killer power.
Seriously, It aint that hard to end chases sooner if you're facing a looper. -
Pallet looping takes skill, as killer you should try and improve your mindgames. The only problem is the infinite loops. Those are the ones which dont take skill at all and should be removed from the game.
-
Borrowed Time is perfect as it is now. It's not gonna get changed ever again.
-
Honestly, I've never felt that way, but maybe it could help you learning mind-games, how and when to use different kinds of playstyles.
It'll help you to have the match under control and not in the survivors control. -
Yh thanks for pointing that, It also happens with Hillbilly's chainsaw.Poweas said:They got rid of the autoaim a long time ago. It was replaced by cancerous hitboxes. Auto aim should be completely trashed honestly. It hurts more than it helps and if you can't hit survivors with their gigantic hitbox then you probably need a little more practice, not auto aim.
It's not that I cant hit them, I've been playing killer for a long time and I know how to deal with almost every trick survivors have. The problem is that the lunge just stops when it shouldnt, even when you still pressing the lunge button. -

I really like everything except his "new secondary power." But since his rework has already started I dont think these ideas could make it into the game, sorry.

Having add-ons that counter a perk is bad, but having perks that completely demolish a killers power is ok? Those add-ons seem pretty fair to me tbh
-
If you get the chance to DC is because you are getting lobbies. People de-rank from rank 1 to 8 that means they are getting matches in rank 1 to de-rank.
They dont de-rank to get lobbies and play the game, they de-rank to play easy mode against people who is not as experienced as them. -

So I wont be able to call my friends "crazy ass #########"? No thanks, in-game report is the way to go. Mods have responsabilities as any other person, let them work and see if the reason why someone is reported deserves a ban or not.RushingSnipeBob said:@not_Queen said:

In-game report REQUIREDYour responsibility in the case of communication abuse is to report through the in-game report.

Hey, Queen,
Wouldn't it be easier to write an alghorytm that bans people instantly? For example, someone is calling one person a "#########", alghorytm catches that and bans said person for 24h, then for 1 day, then 1 week and then permabans the user.It would make the mods life a lot easier.
