They're dead, they don't need their stuff!
It is now yours under the "Finders Keepers" law

What a weird movie. Whatever you're expecting from Halloween Ends I can guarantee you're wrong. I'm not even sure if it was a good movie or not. A very strange movie...
-
I would imagine the majority of the player base plays both roles, though I could be wrong.
I play both sides. It used to be more killer sided split than survivor sided split but now that the incentives have made survivor get 100% BP more often, it's probably more survivor than killer now. But either way, I play both roles pretty regularly.
-
With how much extra BP you get from them, I'm pretty positive that you earn way more BP for what you pay in, even if you end up with hundreds of extra.
Though as others have said and what I've already started doing; you can just avoid them (or avoid them the best you can since you can't always avoid them).
-
I basically just play normal. The only exception to that is if a survivor stops midchase to deposit energy, I will wait for them to finish before smacking them.
-
Bye!
Hope whatever is going on is dealt with in a timely and beneficial manner for you.
Just remember that even if you don't play, off topic and the Cute and Cuddly thread is always there for you to see pictures of everyone's adorable animals. Here's one for the road for you.
Also, yes that picture was taken today and we have F'ing snow on the ground 😭

Might as well throw this little bean head in here :p her name is Cammy & she has an unhealthy obsession with socks👀
Hey, my mum's chocolate lab had an unhealthy obsession with socks too!!!
...at least until they had to pay $2,000 to get his stomach pumped when he ate one of them 😅
Though that's....probably?...not an issue for a cat.

Oh it's out tonight?
I'll probably give it a watch. The last one was kind of bad but it was fun so that's acceptable.
I wonder if I still have Peacock...
I think I do? I think I get it with Comcast. So I guess it greatly depends on if I still have Peacock because I'm not spending money to watch it :D
Edit: Evidently I do have peacock AND it seems I need to check it more often cause they also have Black Phone! That movie looked awesome so now I have two spooky movies to watch this weekend
-
BHVR is damned if they do, damned if they don't with these things
Make it interesting; usually one side or the other is going to have some kind of "advantage" from it
Make it not interesting; people will complain that it's just DBD with a coat of paint
I have greatly enjoyed it so far at least...
-
Oh fun, you got to run into your first sabo squad!!!
Wait, did I say fun? I meant to say "I hope you bled them all out for the full four minutes each. If they so desperately want to not be hooked, grant their wish"

I'm going to assume Holly is your pet cat/dog?
Holly is indeed my kitty. She gets posted in threads with BP codes in them and every so often in the Cute and Cuddly thread that you can find in the off topic section of the forum.
She is also incredibly adorable.
-
I can only speak anecdotally but I have found the usage of Dead Hard against me as a killer is down a considerable amount. It was not uncommon for game after game after game to have 3-4 DHs in them. DH is still in use in my games once in a while but it is not nearly as prevalent as it used to be and it is not NEARLY as frustrating as Old DH was to go against.
-
So I can pretend to be like Holly and get the random zoomies every once in a while.
For a real answer, I actually never ended up using it. As killer, I'd always forget about it and accidentally zoomie instead of using my power like I meant to. For survivor, I like having my medkits more than the brief speed burst.
-
I thought I had read that there is a goofy bug where it'll not give incentives for either side and restarting will fix it.
However, now I can't find that thread/post so maybe I made it up but I'm pretty sure I didn't make that up...
Probably...
Maybe...
.....I think
-
Oh no! I have a new super adorable picture of Holly but now I'm having a crisis of posting...
Do I post it in here where the population is much lower so she doesn't get the eyeballs she deserves or do I wait for a BP code thread like I used to where she'll burn brighter but faster as those threads get way more eyes on them but rarely last more than one day...
Well here's a slightly less adorable but still super adorable picture until I figure this conundrum out.

Myers got a case of The Zoomies

How to handle them is play nurse or blight. At a high enough skill level that is the only solution.
What if I suck with nurse and blight?

My last cat I got him when I was 14, my mom used my Dad as excuse to not get his brother and my Dad was like "if you'll take care of them go for it." Supposedly the kitten got adopted after I took home my kitty but I'm pretty sure my Mom was one that didn't want 2 cats. My cat was pretty happy though getting all my attention and I'm pretty sure having 1 cat made it easier for me to get an apartment after college.
My kitties are coming out to play a bit, seem like they're warming up to me already.

I'm... pretty confident that Holly is a happy single kitty but I'm always going to question that. I may still end up getting a 2nd based on everything I've read that says they're social animals and do better with another cat (especially as I'm returning to office two to three days a week).
If you just talked to me Holly, this would be way easier! I won't tell anyone you can talk, I promise!!! Just a Yes or No, do you want a second cat?
-
Also this page has a dangerously low amount of cute and/or cuddly on it so here's Holly wondering why I'm bothering her at food time

They're brothers, Darryl and Dante - names given by rescue, I liked the names so kept them. Not my first kitties, I had family cat for 13 years and then my own kitty for 17 year - he passed away in 2019 and it took me awhile to be ready to have kitties of my own again.
When the foster said they were 5 months I was like "they are huge for 5 months!" but vet put them at being born in May. They're going to be big boys once they're fully grown. 😂
These guys have been available for adoption since July but no one wanted them until us. Guess kitties being shy is a no go for alot of people.
The one thing I regret is not getting Roo (Holly's kitten) when I had the chance. So much easier to have two cats if they're already bonded rather than trying to introduce a second cat later on.
-
I just wish I was better with the damn things. I like having a more interactive perk like flash bangs but I swear unless it's right in the killers grill and you have them hooked up to one of those Clockwork Orange eye contraptions, I never blind them :(

What if they made it so double Flashbang causes stun? 😲
One flashbang can't be good for you, let alone two. Permanent hearing and vision loss for the killer (or survivor and you're like me and routinely flashbang yourself...).

They're 5 months old. Pretty nervous/shy so currently hanging out in the bathroom until they warm up enough to not just hide in corner somewhere. I was surprised I was able to get them out to play a little even though they still kept distance from me.
Look pretty big for five months!
Names? Are they siblings I assume? First kitties for you or are you an experienced kitty haver?

It sounds like he's already in the process of reaching out to BHVR and contrary to popular belief, I do not actually have a direct line to the DBD Developers. I wanted Hellraiser (2022) to be good. I pleaded for it to be good. I got into the movies late but I was a huge fan of Hellraiser 1 and 2. Just wanted to get another good movie out of the series since everything I've heard is that basically 1 & 2 and the only things worth watching. And the movie absolutely nailed it
Hellraiser was excellent. It actually reminds me of the Candyman remake where it's kind of a detective movie as the main character tries to figure out what the hell is going on and kind of accidentally leaves a path of destruction behind her as she doesn't understand what she is doing. So there's a good chunk more killing and deaths in this movie than there were in the original movies. I also really like that The Leviathan Cube played a much bigger role in this movie as it was almost it's own character where in the first one it was just a box used to bring The Cenobites around. This movie was everything I wanted and I'd strongly recommend it.
I am so happy that this movie turned out so damn good and if you enjoyed the original movies, do yourself a favor and hop onto The Hulu and give it a watch.

Excuse me, this thread is for things that are cute and cuddly, not vampires that will suck your blood dry from your body. Please keep this in mind for future posts, thank you.

I'm going to tweak something R/Slash on The Youtubes says a lot but I feel like it fits
"It's only a prank (or in this case, replace prank with clean fun) if everybody is laughing and enjoying it. Otherwise it's just bullying"
I agree that I don't feel like there should be a punishment for it because I don't really know how you could expect a competitive video game to exist and not let people interact with each other like that but it's a major reason why I don't ever really T-Bag, head nod, bleed out, etc people. I just wish people would realize there is another person on the other end of that opponent and act accordingly.
-
According to the DBD Wiki, it did used to but that was nerfed out of the perk in the 5.3.0 patch

@Dwight_Fairfield said:
Meta never changes in terms of play style. Survivors will always favour second chance perks and killers will gravitate towards gen slowdown because most of them need it in order to stand a chance.
Nerfing DS didn't stop another second chance anti tunnel perk taking its place like Off the Record. Nerfing Pop made call of brine and overcharge popular. Same old type of meta as always.
This
On top of this as well, there will ALWAYS be a meta in a game because there are always going to be Xs and Os players who insist on having the very very very very best combination you can possibly have and will either figure it out or will look to someone else who has already figured it out and copy it.
BHVR can mess around with the perks and whatnot but there will always be perks that people gravitate towards because they are (or perceived at least) to be the strongest combination

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/272592/bully-squads-make-me-genuinely-upset
Getting 360'd is one of the most annoying things about playing killer in this game (and the game I just played had me missing 5 or 6 hits in a row at one point before I remembered to counter - was still a 4K), but you can learn how to get around it. The key is to bait them out like you would an old Dead Hard, and then, after they try their little 360, back up slightly, aim low (the hitbox is weighted more towards the floor), and do a basic (not lunge) attack by tapping the key or controller quickly instead of holding it.
Takes a little practice, but you'll get the hang of it.
Once you've figured how to do that, you'll be excited to see bully squads in the lobby, because if their main focus is annoying you, their main focus is not on doing the gens.
Tip: Tunnel, tunnel, tunnel. The most important thing you can do against groups like this (especially SWFs) is to just get someone out of the game as soon as possible. Some people consider it scummy, but it's not like the survivors care about whether or or not you're having fun.
Another tip: when it's a true bully squad, facecamp the ######### out of them. Not just to punish them, but because squads like this can't help but go for the rescue over and over again even if you're having a round-the-clock staring contest with their hooked buddy, and if you're running Forced Penance and STBFL (like I was these last few games), you can knock their game completely off-balance for the rest of the match in the process of trading a hook or two, leading to an easy win.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3222103#Comment_3222103
I find that it's usually better to get them on hooks and facecamp them. If they're really a bully squad, they're going to be following you around with flashlights, so either be careful and look at walls when you pick up or else smack them (slug if necessary, but not necessarily systematically) until they run away to heal and then hook.
Thing is, half of them are going to be running Unbreakable (For the People isn't too uncommon, either), and hooks work much faster than slugging at getting someone out of a match (which should be your primary goal, ASAP, against a bully squad). They also feel more of a need to respond to hooks than slugs, and they'll go for the stupidest saves even if you're straight-up facecamping, even though they might not try to heal someone out of the dying state right in front of you seeing how you can just put the other survivor back on the ground immediately and maybe injured them in the process.
Slugging is also going to be a bad habit to get into going forward since Unbreakable is going to be basekit eventually.
Their ego is the biggest weapon you can use against them. They feel entitled to every save and confident that they'll get every unhook and walk away clean.
Each bully squad has to be dealt with differently. For my suggestion when I think of a bully squad, it's a flashlight sabo squad. If you are able to get one hooked, facecamping is a great way to deal with them as well (just don't get baited into swinging/going after someone not going for the unhook, stay disciplined).
-
Unfortunately there's not a ton you can do about it until you either get the experience you need to know how to handle them. Nine times out of ten, your best weapon against a bully squad is slugging and patrolling the slugged person. It sucks, it's tedious as hell, and it's super boring but a lot of times it's all you can really do against them.
It's not very useful advice but all you can do is try not to let them get to you. If that means you have to just walk away from the game in the middle of it and let them bully each other instead, so be it. I know it's frowned upon to go AFK but if they're gonna be jerks and not actually play the game and just try to beat you down instead, F'em, walk away. Ideally you can just play and not let it bug you but I know from experience that is WAY easier said than done.

Yes I just watched it. Ive been a fan for like 20ish years and its up there with the first 2 for me. It would have had an argument for best if it wasnt so slow and there was more meaningful horror/action in it. I think it had the best hellraiser plot.
I was surprised at how unviolent it was. I kind of expected them to try to raise up the gore and blood being a direct to tv sequel but for the most part, the kills were mostly off screen. Even the kills onscreen weren't particularly gory.
@IlliterateGenocide said:
I'm not much for redesigned character, but from what I know this is a different canon that's from the book? so I give it a pass.
Was a very enjoyable Watch, even though I don't like most of the Hellraiser Movies
My understanding is that this interpretation was supposed to be more in line with the books where the original movie cut or changed it (like Pinhead I guess is supposed to be kind of genderless and the Lamination Cube is more complicated like this movie rather than just being a "summon sex monster" button)
@Pumpkinbros said:
I've watched every single hellraiser film thus far, and I have to say, hellraiser 2022 is the only movie, that ACTUALLY explains what the F**k is going on, genuinely had no idea how the lament configuration actually worked, or what it's purpose was until watching this one, I knew what happened once you used it but like the notebook with all the different configurations, that makes so much sense dude! genuinely loved it, I jumped out of my seat once I saw a new hellraiser movie was released, but yeah, great movie, better than the first 2
that's controversial, but ion care, I stand by it, this was better lol
At the very least, I don't think it's too controversial to put this movie right up there with the originals. I also really liked how the puzzle box worked here and was more of a character than in the original. I also appreciate that it was more consistent here (I saw HR 1&2 back to back and what always bugged me was in 2, the box reacts to who wanted it opened and not who actually opened it according to Pinhead. But unless Kirsty was WAY freakier than the movie explained, she accidentally opened the box in the 1st movie so why would they target her?).
In this movie, whoever got the poke got the summon. Pinhead don't care if you opened the box to get poked, you accidentally got poked cause the blade was out, or if someone stabbed your ass with the blade :D). Not the biggest deal in the world but the consistency was nice.
The only part that bugged me and maybe you (or someone else) has an explanation is...
Why after Riley was poked, why did Pinhead not snag her then and there. I know they wanted her to use the box to keep getting sacrifices but it's not like she's the only person who can use the box. They are aware that Voight was still alive so worst case scenario they know the box will stay in play since he will use it on people as he stabbed Nora in the back with it...
The only thing I can think of is basically Pinhead caused the poke by scaring Riley so maybe that means it doesn't count but at least according to Pinhead, she could have taken Riley at any point she wanted to and sexy demons don't seem like they would care about the "honor" of tricking her into getting poked.
-
No and No
Bodyblocking for bannable reasons is bodyblocking someone where the game is not progressing because of it. In both of your cases, the game is progressing (the person on the hook will die).
Bodyblocking against the rules would be using the killer to block someone who is now trapped in a corner and is unable to go anywhere or do anything.
