This is the most annoying phenomenon. When the exhaustion comes after you are on the floor. It's like, ok, the server noticed I did dead hard but simultaneously gives the killer the down as my invulnerability should have activated.

Dynamic Balancing seems like an intuitive and pragmatic option. It allows more enjoyment from all levels of play. I wish the devs would deeply consider this option!

Careful friend.
Insinuating anyone is a "baby survivor" could be insulting . . . mods are ruthless from what I hear.
Fortunately I didn't call any person out. But when I used "baby survivor," I meant it in the sense of a new player to the game who starts as survivor rather than a self-centered brat.

That's why we only tested DC penalties before putting it live permanently. They won't go live until the game is in a more stable state and that these things won't happen.
When will that be, and what is meant by a more stable state? I think DCs are a huge problem that has been recognized for a long time but is never deeply discussed nor addressed.
-
I played it but did not enjoy it because of voice chat. People were so stupid and it felt like there was no real skill nor strategy. Additionally, there aren't really tutorials so it is unclear how the game works. I did not enjoy it when I tried it.
-
The Devs only care about baby survivors. Seasoned players they couldn't care less about their fun because they assume all of us will stay.

But it will be GREAT and FUN and less FRUSTRATING for NEW SURVIVORS.
So that means it's a good thing.....
Exactly, everything is focused on the New Survivors, but not the New Killers.
-
Considering the recent designer notes about ruin, "The passive nature of the gameplay pressure it provides means that there is a huge amount of potential with very little effort or risk on behalf of ..," when will keys be nerfed?
-
Both is probably the most correct answer, but it was not a choice.
-
The Ruin rework was poorly handled. They nerfed it with no acknowledgement of how it was really used. Ruin being used non-stop is not ruin's fault but a deeper problem with the game that it fought against. They have not addressed the deeper problem (Gen speed) at least at higher ranks.

Dead Hard is a bit... Odd, especially on dedicated servers - it will either be good or bad. You may end up getting hit anyway and on the ground exhausted.
Adrenaline is hit or miss - either strong or useless.
Borrowed Time can be countered by stealth killers or Insidious.
Decisive Strike can be waited out.
Even with limitations, they are the most reliable perks. No perk is flawless, but no killer perk can compare to this set.

Mettle of Man, Decisive Strike, Balanced Landing, Autodidact, Self-Care nerfs.
Sabotage no longer making hooks permanently broken, removing majority Infinite Loops, Less Pallets, killer perks are more reliable.
Killer perks are more reliable? Are you joking?
Dead. Hard.
Adrenaline.
Borrowed time.
Decisive strike (even after nerf).
These are the strongest perks in the game and the most reliable.
-
Or, perhaps I am experiencing a bug that is still allowing them to spawn in my blood webs. If so, please advise!
-
I'm sad to tell you that sympathetic clown discussions have been on this forum for quite some time and have been ignored by the developers.
-
The Devs already know the Ruin nerf will dramatically change the game and exacerbate the gen speed problem they have ignored for so long. They probably plan to work on the issue moving forward with the knowledge it will be rough.
-
Why did they remove hatch grabs? What is the logic in that?

Yeah I know, it was banter at the beginning.
The healing nerfs happened like a year ago BTW, and medkit speeds were JUST changed.
Proves my point?
What point? Your post makes no sense.
Insta heals were toxic. But the med speeds were about right. It seems like they buffed them to "balance" the nerf. HA!
-
@RepliCant said:
Killers: Self care is overpowered, devs please do something
devs: ok we nerf
Killers: Insta heals are ridiculous! Please do something!
devs: ok, we nerf. but let's buff the terrible medkits which were never changed speed wise to accumulate for the lost of speed in medkits when they changed the charges for healing from 12 to 16 (which added 4 seconds)
Killers: DON'T YOU SEE THAT GEN RUSHING IS THE PROBLEM OH MY GOD WHY DID YOU BUFF MEDKITS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OHHHHMYGHFODFODODDDD GENRUSHHHHHHHH IN MY NIGHTMARESS!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH INSTA HEALS WERE FINE ITS THE GENS!!!
Anyways, when the healing changes went from 1 charge per second with 12 charges total, to 1c/sec with 16 charges total, medkit speed bonuses were remained unchanged. Meaning, speed was lost from the med kits if I'm not ######### and can do math properly.
This is directly from the patch notes:
Med-kit changes
- Camping Aid Kit: Increased the speed at which you heal others from +15% to +25%.
- First Aid Kit: Increased the speed at which you heal others from +25% to +35%.
- Emergency Med-Kit: Reduced charges from 24 to 16. Increased the speed at which you heal others from +35% to +50%. Replace item efficiency with increased self-heal speeds at +50%.
- Ranger Med-Kit: Increased the speed at which you heal others from +25% to +50%.
- All Hallow's Eve Lunchbox: Increased the speed at which you heal others from +15% to +35%.
The speed is increased.

Who said it's canon?
Ah, I made a mistake. I thought I remembered a tweet or something, but I was actually remember an entry in the DBD wiki, which reads "The Hag seems to be heavily based on the Wendigo, an Algonquian myth that says those who commit cannibalism will become possessed by spirits, deformed and eventually turn insane. This is suggested by The Hag's appearance, Memento Mori, backstory, and a few Hag-related Unlockables in the game which talk about cannibalism."
That being said, here are a few pieces of evidence from the game that may help this question:
1) One of her cosmetics is entitled, "Wood Witch," suggesting that indeed she is a witch. Also, her story mentions she was taught charms. This suggests that her "magic" and the fact that they respond (by causing a dark hunger) suggests that perhaps it is witchy and spirit related.
2) Her deep hunger is referenced in her cosmetics is definitely for human flesh (cannibalism) and when she escaped her shackles, the remains of the others were there. Assuming she ate some to survive and invoked spirits, it is possible she was infested with wild spirit and became a wendigo. Her elongated arms are also typical of the wendigo mythos.
However, thinking about it more, I suspect that she might be based on Haitan Voudoo, considering her English name Lisa, her story of drawing charms kept alive by the village elders, and then dark spirits possessing her. The use of clay might also align well with this interpretation.
Anyway, Wendigo is NOT cannon. My mistake.
-
Pop goes the weasel is your friend for this one. You have to kick a gen, have a survivor touch it, then kick it again. Wasn't too hard when I did it.
-
She is definitely a Wendigo. That is cannon. As for a witch, I'm not sure about her powers. Great question!
-
Ultimately, it's a problem with gen speed. But the best we are ever gonna get is ruin, which they often spawn on. That's just how it is. If you want to like killer, you have to accept that reality.
-
Yes because the developers are choosing to simply ignore the problem. They should be brainstorming solutions but this just never has been a top priority.

Queue times are already trash on both sides, this isn't needed and won't solve the issue.
Then what do you propose? Weaponized DCing ruins everyone's experience.
-
Maybe it could be as simple as letting survivors work together to sabo a hook at faster speeds, so that you could sabo an area as a team quickly. Something like that maybe.
-
I think it was to make 100% sure that legion couldn't do a "following the blood" strategy. You can even see this strategy used by some of the old streamers.
They would hit a survivor, and then look at the ground and follow the blood (without initiating chase) until the survivor was forced to stop to mend or risk going down.
However, now, the terror radius stops the mending bar so this was stopped by that. I suppose now you might argue that it is to encourage killers not to just chase down one survivor and instead try to hit others (as they intended it to be used for). All in all, that's how the cards landed. To be fair, it does make it a little trickier to chase after a single person. Especially if you hit them, run a ways, and change your mind.
-
The grind is rough. I definitely don't like the idea of this requirement becoming the norm. I do sometimes wonder about a 5th perk though, especially for killer as you are basically required to run at least one gen speed perk at the higher ranks.
-
I enjoy the high risk, high reward reads that you can make as both survivor and killer. As survivor, the intense saves, healing, etc. As killer, every time you win a mind game. :D
-
Big Maps and maps with god loops
-
I Think they should be color coded by purpose. I 100% agree that the current color coding is not useful.
-
Honestly, I would drop DBD instantly if they ever added voice chat.
-
Sadly, Clown. I'm hoping for a buff some day.
-
Totem placement upgrade. That is all.
-
@Peppa_Pigsaw The PTB has been experiencing a ton of issues corresponding to the update to the Unreal Engine. I am hoping hoping hoping that what you describe is attributable to that and thereby fixable (and the devs will fix it). Food for thought.

What happened with Moris? Didn't see it on the patch notes. As a killer I hope it's now only when they're on death hook.
Moris have not changed. People just talk a lot about them as "comparisons"
-
Why is "legion level nerfed" a term? I felt the changes to legion were very fair. I mean the following the blood while looking down trick was insane as was Frank's mix tape insanity. Is that what you mean by legion level nerfs? A nerf that made the game better by removing crazy things from it?
-
The cooldown starts when fatigue starts folks. And with addons, you basically get 1 blink back when fatigue ends. Sure, you can't double blink then immediately double blink again after fatigue and that has made her harder to play consistently, but I'm not sure it has nerfed her to the ground. I think she is still quite strong and the new addons are interesting.

Man, that was too much truth right there. Hating Legion really is a meme!
Besides, DCing is still pretty rampant. How do you know they DCed because of legion?
-
It depends on what your goals are, and I deeply sympathize with what you are talking about. In purple ranks and especially red ranks, you really feel what it is like playing against good survivors. It is very challenging and when you play killers you're not super familiar with you definitely feel it worse. I remember my goal was to reach rank 1 as killer. I climbed to about 4 with Clown and felt so stuck. To finish off the last set of ranks, I switched to Spirit and did it. After reaching rank 1, I started playing all Killers again and slipped down to 3, but found that even with Clown it isn't terrible at red ranks (most of the time, haha). In other words, I believe it is possible to achieve red ranks with weaker killers (it just takes a muuucccchhh longer grind and luck).
That being said here is my honest advice: If your goal is blood points, play killer until it feels like you aren't earning enough (or that it is too much work) then switch to survivor. Your games as killer will really help you be a good survivor. Not to fear, rank reset comes on the 13th (and every month). When it does, make sure to spend those first few weeks playing everyone you like. By the end of the month, play to your strengths. Stick to this strategy and you'll be fine on BPs.

They came for Nurse and we said nothing.
They came for Billy and I said nothing.
Then they came for Spirit and nobody was left to save me.
OMG, I literally fell out of my chair! I can't, hahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha This is just too much
When they inevitably balance Spirit, we will see. My hope is that perhaps they will figure out a way to make the lower tiered killers (I love you Clown) more competitive at the red ranks.
-
Personally, I am super excited about the Rift, Archives, Insta-heal nerfs, Undetectable buffs, and the nurse balancing seems fair to me. Some people said she would be horrible, but honestly she will still be one of the better killers. I think overall this patch has moved the game in a much better direction, and I'm excited to see where it continues to go!

I'm not say insta down from powers need to be touched but things like noed need rework for killers that only way they get things to go there way. Noed for not getting any hooks no gens defended nothing now they have a game changing peek for failing.
The devs have officially said that NOED will not be reworked because cleansing the totems as a powerful counter play exists. In addition, there are many perks to help get the totems done, including inner strength, the newly buffed detective's hunch, maps, the increase in the blood points they offer. The point is that noed is fine. Cleanse the totems. If a survivor other than you is downed with noed, look for it. There is plenty of counter play.

Distortion is a very strong perk as it is. It does not need to be changed. You are informed when a token is lost (i.e. you can figure out and modify your play style to the killer's aura reading abilities). I think that people are wanting a buff because it isn't a meta perk, which honestly is more about the meta perks than about distortion.

I'm having strange lag issues in some games. For example, the kicking the gen animation will finish but not the bar. When stalking with Myers, sometimes the bar will jump. Sometimes players lag in weird ways.
However, many games run very smoothly, so it is a mixed bag.
