The problem is not too many killers, the problem is that most killers aren't viable in the higher ranks and are therefore played less than others.

He has some solid pants, though. I also really enjoy his "rifle" weapons.
-
I don't even bother rating a game.

Wow, that's an interesting idea though it might prove too much in conjunction with Remember me.
THE end game build: NOED, remember me, monstrous shrine, and blood warden. putz around while gens are completed then one shot someone and hook them for blood warden after a gate is open then watch as the entity takes them all l.
@Kabu Could be fun.
-
Yes.
-
Monstrous Shrine
Each time a survivor is hooked, gain a token. For each token, the End-Game Collapse timer is reduced by 3 / 4 / 5 seconds. Gain 25% increased BP in the Sacrifice category.
-
No. I'll buy the DLCs that are worth it. Gotta reward good behavior.

Id rather have a werewolf xD
@Andreyu44 It might be generic but this statement is true. I'd also prefer a werewolf over a skeleton.

Yes, there will be a stream this Thursday, specifically about the upcoming Freddy rework. I am excited.
@Peanits Hopefully it won't turn out to be another "New Legion" where any sort of creativity and viability has been thrown out the window.
When are we gonna know about the contest finalists, by the way?
-
Pumpkinhead for sure.
-
Which contest?
-
Please not another band-aid perk..
-
You're approaching it at the wrong angle. You need to run straight at a window for 2-3 meters in order to trigger the fast vault. They've also changed it so that if you're touching a wall, you cannot fast vault.
-
It could also be something Deathgarden related, you know. Both DbD and DG are Behavior's.

They are both wrong. Just one is more relevant today.
@darktrix One of them only last 2 years and 9 months. The other.. 3 months tops?
-
So it was fine when survivors could take the game hostage for 30+ minutes but killers cannot watch you suffer for a mere 4 minutes?
Now THAT's a double standard.
-
Sooo.. 11 great skill-checks and you're maxed out in Objective? Nice.
Your suggestion wouldn't do anything.

He lacks map pressure but most killers do. The thing I love about him is he stops loops very well. You just have to throw the bottles in the right area and you will usually catch up before they get to the pallet (sometimes you'll barely make it). His bottles are easy to use and do not require much as much accuracy as huntress. I think he is pretty good to be honest.
I don't disagree with that. Clown's strong around most loops but that's it. He cannot down them as fast as he should be doing in order to generate enough map pressure to be threatening.
-
Urgh no. I don't want to listen to some kid playing Dead by Daylight in the kitchen while his mother is cooking food, yelling for him to stop playing the game and help her. All while the dog's barking mad because its stupid or something.
I'd be muting the ######### out of everyone.
-
Her add-ons need a re-imagining but Nurse herself is fine. They should put their focus into balancing the other killers so they stop being laughing stocks.
-
Nurse herself doesn't need a nerf but her add-ons definitely needs a re-imagining. We'd see less Nurses (more variety overall) if the maps were better designed for low tier killers as players would be willing to experiment more.
As for Clown.. I wish he was better and that comes from someone who plays mostly him at the moment. He just.. lacks too much. No pressure whatsoever. Unless you're running against a group who's into bullying and looping you over doing generators in general, you're not gonna end up with many kills.

i play mostly wraith and legion at high rank and do fine
of course sometimes i play like garbage and lose or other times i get fractured cowshed with an even more busted setup than usual and the game slides out of my hands before i can put enough pressure out
map design being improved over time will go a long way towards making these killers more playable against better survivors. we need less enormous maps filled with stuff
@miaasma Shame that they only plan on fixing two maps per year..
-
It'll probably never get a change.
And if it did, they'd just up the rarity to Ultra Rare instead of Very Rare.
-
Their aura kinda vanish if you get too close, so you need to remember where you put them down.
-
You did too good and as such, you're punished.
-
- Agreed. All the other killers can only react to what the survivors are doing. They're not really in command.
- Agreed. At some point, after breaking the barrier, you'll start relying more on muscles and impulse decision-making than thinking. Here's where Nurses achieve the title of God.
- The developers have shown statistics where the Nurse often get a lot of 4ks but also the most 0ks out of all the killers, proving point nr 1 even more.
- Some are literally useless while other ones skyrockets her power level. They need a rework.
- Maps have a long history of ######### up Nurse, making them the greatest enemy of all Nurse killers.
-
Both Ruin and NOED are symptoms of a bigger issue in Dead by Daylight, where the killer cannot exert enough pressure to stop the generators from being done.
-
Rigged Timer
Very Rare Add-on
RBT activates the second its placed on a survivor's head. The timer is increased by another 30 seconds.
-
..Why..?
-
I'd prefer the randomness of the bloodweb over the sterile boredom of a store.
The store concept is also easily exploited, letting you amass a large quantity of strong add-ons without fear of ever running out. Offerings like Black/White ward would be rendered useless. The prices in your example is waaay too expensive for anyone sane to even consider buying something but the point still remains.
I'd prefer a boost in BP gain instead, so you can unlock more stuff in a row.
-
Not gonna happen when only 5% of all killers and 10% of all survivors have managed to get the rank 10 achievement. The developers are focusing in the area where the majority resides.
-
I am garbage with names, so I wouldn't remember even I ever have.
-
How'd it even work? A killer that cannot do anything if survivors look at him? So like Ghostface but worse?
I rather have the developers spend their resources improving their game's health than creating a creepy pasta killer.
-
The developers thought it was too punishing to survivors and had its values reduced.
-
Bloodlust wouldn't even be a thing if it wasn't for survivors exploiting bad map design.
-
She holds the power to overcome ######### map design and mechanics by literally bypassing it.
Of course she's really good. Even better since she scales with the player playing her, unlike the rest that can only react to what the survivors are doing.
Her add-ons are definitely broken, though, but her power is fine.
-
From my understand, last time I tried to sign up to participate, it was that you were not allowed to play with perks, addons, offerings or items.
And what they plan on doing with the data? I don't have a clue. Check how viable some killers are in a vanilla setting?
-
I'd love to see NOED restored to its old glory, when it was a permanently on buff.
..or we could just start breaking totems before we're done with all the generators, eh?
-
I can literally hear the russle of grass, the sound of footsteps and hear things through walls.
Its amazing! How's that boring?
-
Farming is boring as #########, though.
-
Keep the timer as it is.
Make the EGC trigger activate traps but slow down the timer as long as someone's the proud owner with a active RBT.
Speed up crouching up and down and make her immune to detection perks while crouched.
Rules Set No.2 should definitely be in her base kit.
New Add-on to replace "Rules Set No.2" would activate the RBT as soon as someone gets one but the timer gets increased by 30 seconds.

There is nothing “unnecessary “ about a change to the nurse.
The nurse ignores game mechanics. You can nerf killer’s base mechanics to the ground, buff survivors to god tier levels, or do the exact opposite, and if the nurse remains unchanged she will continue to be the strongest killer in the game.
that is the nature of her power. It ignores game mechanics. It does not have a cost.
And “skill” isn’t an argument I will accept. Nurses skill cap in dead by daylight may be high, but compared to almost any other game it is laughably low. Requiring skill to keep something that is legitimately broken in the game is the argument that was used back in the day defending the inclusion of infinite loops.
I want the game to be fair for both sides. Which means I don’t want old ds to be a thing- because it is legitimately unfair. However, if I am not being bias, as so many people are when countering the idea of a nurse rework, I can honestly say that the nurse herself is also legitimately unfair.
Hillbilly, spirit, these are the killers we should model killer balance around. The nurse is the strongest killer only because she is the strongest in charge, amp pressure, hook pressure, mobility, etc. she has no weakness and her counterplay is hoping that the nurse messes up. Legion was nerfed for the same reasons, except they were FAR weaker but easier to use.
Your argument that maps are the problem is a legitimate one.
But let’s say they fixed maps. What makes you believe people would stop using the nurse? Killer favored maps still favor the nurse. It’s actually quite hard to make a map that doesn’t favor her, because again... she ignores game mechanics.
@wisdom It is. She's a relic of the past, born from bad map design.
And that still proves correct as most maps got really strong loops, some even with several god-tier pallets and window placements that makes chasing survivors a massive time investment.
She's popular because she DOESN'T CARE and as long as maps provide problems for most killers, she's gonna remain strong.
My reasoning is very simple. All killer playerss don't play Nurse, Hillbilly, Spirit, Huntress and Hag because they're the most fun for them but because they're the only ones that can do good on bad maps (on top of already having a solid map pressure in some way or another innate in their kits) and you'd see much more variety in killers if the maps was improved to accommodate for lesser tier killers.
More variety means less Nurse.
-
He doesn't stand a chance at the higher ranks as he's basically your average M1 killer.

Sometimes it's a perk. I completely respect the insidious camp strat.
@Paladin_Goo You got a reason to camp if you run Insidious. Perfectly reasonable. Also tunneling when using Dying Light, completely reasonable. Is it fun? Not at all.. but at least there's a purpose behind it.

An idea I have that I will continue to propose even though all the salty people on here will continue to downvote my comments simply because they want their broken ######### in the game because they feel entitled, is a nurse rework.
Because I am a killer main and I want the game to be balanced. And the game will never be balanced if you have a killer who ignores game mechanics at no cost. You want survivor nerfs? Me too. But this is a game with 2 sides.
My proposal was, and still is, this.
Make the nurse a 110 killer.
Rework her blinks to have charges. She starts with 2-3 base changes, and when she blinks she consumes a charge. The charges refresh over time.
Rework her add ons to not have so many fake stats in them.
And give her an ultra rare add on that lets her have infinite charges with a limited number of chain blinks.
This would mean that you can have the nurse we have now as an ultra rare (a bit better actually since she would be 110) and you would have the ability to actually catch survivors without her blinks you can use her blinks for mobility or chases, but not both.
She would still be one of the strongest killers in the game, boasting incredible ability in every category that matters, but you wouldn’t simply be the strongest killer at all times at all points in the game with no counterplay.
@wisdom An unnecessary downgrade for Nurse, to be honest. She's one of the most unique killers in the game. Turning her into another generic killer isn't the solution.
You'd see so much less Nurses around if the maps were designed to give weaker killers a chance to be effective.
-
It probably would be just as bad. Camping is most of the time a mentality. Campers gonna camp.
@MegaWaffle See?
-
@Atrushan88 You clearly don't want to listen. Just gonna stop it here.
-
Killer because of the mental stress you'll need to endure.
