Nah not the same.
-
This guy is spitting all the right facts.
-
Yes, I've tried him, and I hate him.
The problem with Blight, is that the killer in game makes no sense at all. Pinball, wth?
There are killers that I don't like like trapper, or hag, but I understand that they make sense for people who are good at them.
Trapper and hag are just, not for me.
But this killer? The feeling is different. I just feel it makes no sense, at all.
Lore wise, this killer is nice, in game? The worst released killer.
-
I just unlocked him for the perks.
Never really played him at the PTB, so yesterday I played him to see if I liked him or not.
What I believed, was true: I didn't like him, and he was garbage.
-
It's quite fun to play pinball while all your generators pop.

@Clevite said:
I agree, then they get mad that you're not playing the new killer.
Like which one do you want? Let a new killer have a bit of fun and practice.
This.

Yeah he isn't the greatest wish we got a fnaf chapter instead
I wouldn't like to see fnaf in dbd.
But I actually prefer a fnaf killer, to this pinball machine.

Let me rephrase:
Legion can down people with his power?
Nope. But that doesn't mean blight is legion with extra steps, because it is.

Legion can down people?
Taking them by surprise, yes. Or out of position.
-
No need to play him to know what he's about.
Legion with extra steps.
-
The size of this update is really high, but It's just because of the graphical update I'm sure.

This. I think you summed it all up nicely
Thanks! I tried to explain it the best as I could.
It's important for people to realize that stuff.

2 times I had kill a surviver 2 pixels away from the gate-exits.
1 time as Huntress, I was able to hit a survivor who was running to the left and right over and over again, for the exit.
1 time I had mori as Legion one, just 1 step away from the exit gates.
... Let us say... The endgame chat was special... But funny for me^^.
But that is what can happen if you are too cocky at the gates. The killer can still kill :D.
When they are at the exit gates it's true that you can still kill, I've done it before also.
But is not likely, it depends on the killer you are playing, your perks...etc. That's why they get cocky and they usually fall for bloodwarden.

He uploaded a video where he got 4 escaped by a group of toxic survivors and they still flashlight bm him after he played fair on a survivor favored map. He’s probably THE if not one of the most kindest YouTuber/Streamers out there. With that being said, notice how he uploaded a match where he lost and wasn’t afraid to show it meanwhile other YouTubers and streamers (not saying names) only upload games where they ONLY escape or Kill everyone. This game is just getting more toxic as the days go by.
I played this game years ago, and it was the same. When I started playing I actually got more toxicity than now.
But anyways, I think that toxicity will never disappear from this game tbh. This game, the way this game it's "created", allows toxicity. If that makes sense.
Also, survivors tend to be more toxic just by psychological reasons. They are in a scenario 4vs1. They are in a group, so they feel powerful. It's the same as how bullying works.
Survivors tend to be less toxic for example when 2 or 3 people died, then the last one is usually kind.
Coincidence? Of course not, that's just how psychology works.
If there are 4 people alive and gates opened, the game allows them to disrespect the killer, and make him/her feel awful, because they know they already won.
It's not like other games, where if you win, the game ends. In dbd, you can pretty much win and the game still is going on. Which allows killers and survivors, to enjoy and take advantage of those moments.
That's why I, for example, never go to the exit gates to meet survivors just before they escape. That's pointless. That would just feed their egos.
If you win, you win, end the game already. Don't waste others' time and don't make fun of them.
I've had games where I got gen rushed to death, and they all escaped quickly. It felt bad, but at least I was like ok, they won. But they didn't make me feel bad about it.
But also, I've had games where they gen rushed, and they stayed to make fun of me. Those, are the really messed up people.

Never. I might change a perk depending on what I see, but I never dodge.
I have a lot of patience, but sometimes I've learned that If I dodge just 1 or 2 games per day, can be even helpful xD

No fnaf plsss

I would like to join also, as killer obviously ;P

Now if we could only settle
func() {
}
vs
func()
{
}
I prefer the first way tbh. More clean imo.
-
All of that it's true.
-
DBD forces people into playing competitively because we don't have a "casual mode".
You always play winning or losing rank.
-
Well, I really don't need to watch tournaments to know one truth about dbd:
The lower the skill of all players, the higher the chances for the killer to "win".
The higher the skill, the higher the chances for survivors to escape.
As simple as that.

Bit harsh there but honestly you're not wrong. xD
I seriously hate tbaggers, flashlight clickers and other toxic types of players, but I'm going to confess here that if the Killer plays in a really absurdly annoying way, I also tbag and click with my flashlight. But I swear, I don't do it because I want to, it's because I also get tilted.
Nah is not harsh is pure reality.
That's the same thing why I sometimes just play killer in a way to try to get salt and hate from survivors.
And I'm not ashamed to recognize that I do it for the same reason.
Sometimes I'm messed up? Yes, and I know it.
-
@xEa said:
Someone who tbags tries to tilt or annoy the killer.
Why would people annoy other people? I dont know, lets look at some examples who do it.
Ochido and AngryPug are good examples. Both do it all the time, both are pricks and unsecure. Both had big ups and downs during their life (at least they claim they had) and both seems to be pretty lonely, at least this is my impression when i watched them.
This thread doesn't need more explanations.
Just this, solves everything.

I've figured out something if you want to try to counter this "speedy meta" we have.
Use Corrupt+NOED.
A little bit of slow down at the start, and punishes extreme gen rushing at the end.
The last 2 slots, you can take pop and the perk you want.
-
Ah yes, the survivor rules book for the killer, never bought that one?
-
@Stinde said:
Same reasons as you have + key or obvious 3/4-man. If the survivors burn a Haddonfield/Ormond/Yamaoka offering I'm closing the app in the loading screen. I really don't understand some survivor's mentality that they wait >10 minutes for a match and want to genrush it to be over in 5 minutes in an unbalanced map with 15k points, only to get back in the >10 minute queue.
My killer ques are literally instant at all times so no downside to dodge the lobbies that scream insufferable/toxic game for me.
I only want to play to get as much bp as possible while having fun and have a 10-15 minute matches. I love the matches where I get 8-10 hooks, 2k/2e and I get brutal/ruthless. In those games everyone has over 20k points and they are fun.
"I really don't understand some survivor's mentality that they wait >10 minutes for a match and want to genrush it to be over in 5 minutes in an unbalanced map with 15k points, only to get back in the >10 minute queue."
I have this same mindset. I don't understand them, but yet they keep doing that dumb stuff.

@leyzyman said:
the people that are willing to accept this as a game and play for fun at all times.
Im not one of these people, but these guys deserve mad respect for keeping calm, or at least not get pissed after not having a 4k escape/kill.
I don't care about ranks, nor kills, usually. Just performance.
But It's true, that I'm slowly switching to strong killers and meta perks, because survivors won't let me have any fun with 5 minutes long games.
-
Don't worry, sometimes you can even find totems in open areas.

kills are an indication of skill if its not an offering mori and same for escapes provided they arent too heavily weighted
Nope.
You can kill, and still be bad.
You can escape, and still be bad.
Emblems are the real display of skill, because they count all you can do in-game. If you perform all the tasks fine, with a neat performance, that means you are good.

@InnCognito said:
With that killer and most other killers a person has to expect a killer to go out of their way to camp at some point if generators are being completed fast. Depending on the time of the day and the quality of general matches. I'd make the decision to bring BORROWED time.
If the killer camps. Just REPORT them for inactivity, or not participating in match. Most reports do nothing. But w/e,
Nah, camping is not a legit reason to get banned. Don't even waste your time reporting campers, it'll never work.
-
MMR should take into account scoring, emblems, not kills or escapes.
-
@Raccoon said:
I've gotten 4k with 5 Gens up while running NOED (obviously inactive) and have seen things like "Oh, it's ok - They're using NOED - They're bad" and so on.
NOED is fine, and fast on its way to becoming a meta perk in this "speedy meta."
I'm seriously thinking about running Corrupt+NOED in my matches.
-
Aah the classic Doctor camp.
-
I'm not a main survivor, but I guess that the counter is kinda similar to the one for spirit.
If I play nurse/spirit, the situations where survivors may get away without getting hit, is when they move really erraticly, or they are inside a lot of loops and structures.
If you are in the open field out of position it's really easy for her to get you.

As someone who mostly play survivor, i can assure you old ruin was way weaker than the current one. For those who are able to hit great skillchecks (or even gen tap) no problem, ruin didn't even make any problem for them.
I've run the new ruin, and sometimes survivors don't even care about it.
-
Clown need buffs yes, it's pretty underwhelming.
-
They hate it, so they won't even make the effort of playing against it.
-
Well, with freddy on midwich on PC, I got frame rates of 30. Like #########.
I always run games at 60 or more, just in midwich I have frame drops. Epic map.

Nah you're forced to use corrupt because you have yet to learn how to take survivors off of gens
ehh yeahhh, sure.
-
@Ghoste said:
That's how it's been since the Ruin nerf. Either run Corrupt or have 2 gens pop in the first minute or so.
Just 2? 3 usually HAHA. And the rest of them you just don't have pressure cause 4 survivors alive.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Hi, this is a terrible idea, thanks for trying.
With the new Hex:Undying coming out this problem should be mostly resolved when using the perk but also, all the devs have to do is buff totem spawns and we're smooth sailing
Unless your undying totem goes down, then your are very happy

Just a tip, don't go for a rescue when he's camping, and do gens.
Boom, life solved.

Why do survivors start next to gens?
The everlasting question.

Bringing back old ruin.
