I think I'm the same as you as well. I don't relay on s teir builds to win as survivor anymore. Overtime if i started to use different perks and relayed on my skill to do better and I gotten better overtime.
I have a list of fun survivor builds that I try.
Exactly, that's the attitude.

Then there's no issue 👍️
Problem solved.
... It's really boring to see match after match copy-pasted builds on 4 survivors. It's like...you really never get bored?

OK. Don't run one then...
I'm not the type of killer who relies on S tier builds to win, but rather I think it's better to use weird combinations of perks and see how they work out.

The only problem grind-related that I see, is the prestige system.
Losing literally everything you've earned just to get cosmetics is awful as hell.

I would be interested in the reasoning behind the decision to have laceration decay passively.
Tricksters power of getting partial health states is already pretty underwhelming tbh, and then these partial health states just heal magically, without any action required from the survivors. Ghost face can 99% his stalk and it doesn't go down ever (unless he hits the survivor obviously) and he is not overpowered.
I've made a post before regarding my proposal for changes to his power, and it's related to what you have stated.
-
First killer released without a power that's rare.
-
Weak and highly situational perk.
-
Why, being a main killer myself, can say that this is so true? Xddd
-
Improved gore is definitely needed.
-
If the killer decides to tunnel you, it will still work.
So...#########?
-
That's interesting and useful ngl, because usually when people are not playing efficiently they are either completing challenges or just chilling.

When? always. How? camping. Why? Because you're in red rank only because of camping/tunneling.
When?
Not always.
Camping/tunnelling are inefficient strats that should only be used for a really short period of time, in order for them to get mad etc.
How?
For example, if you camp but no other survivor is watching you, it's a complete waste of time. However, if you fake camping for a few seconds and other survivors are watching you that might change the way they act.
Same goes with tunnelling.
Why?
To make them tilt/nervous and use those behaviours in your favour.
Because you're in red rank only because of camping/tunneling.
Actually, if you just camp/tunnel you are not gonna get past yellow ranks.
Good luck getting to red ranks by just camping/tunnelling 24/7 and use those strategies mindlessly.
-
Perk-wise it's slightly interesting.

I wish this game would has block system for not playing together. I would block people like you. You are not tunnellng for tactic, you just wanna being toxic. And i hate people like you. You can't bully people in the game.
I'm specifically saying that I use tunnelling and camping with a reason, and strategically.
So basically all that you have said makes little to no sense at all.
You should start seeing DbD as a strategy game (because that's what It is), grow up, and learn to use your tools.
If you do play survivor, learn to counter every strategy they use against you (because yes, there's always a counter).

Where is the skill in tunneling?
In knowing when, how and why to use that risky strategy (tunneling)

First of all end game chat can be disabled if all you get is insults.
And second you want people to get mad by using certain strategies and then expect them to be "levelheaded" once the trial ends? You expect a little too much from a human being there. And only because you yourself keep level headed during such strategies from opposition against you doesn't mean everybody else can/should.

That's the whole point of improving in DbD. The better you are at the game, the more level-headed you become.
They should try to keep their cool if they ever want to get any better at this game, since it requires fast decisions in difficult situations.
-
Passive abilities would be neat
-
They can report killers all they want, but in the end all they are doing is crying.
Their reports will never work because those strategies are not bannable.

Well first of all a fact is always objective...so there is that...
"Objective" can be used as an adjective, and adjectives describe nouns.
In this case, "objective" was used as a way to emphasize due to that "repetition" of meanings.
And repetitions in order to emphasize are a really common thing in languages to use, also in poems.
So, what you said it's nonsense.
Next?

I still play it and will continue to do so.
Reasons:
-Invested a LOT of time and money into this game
-It's still fun to me
-There's pretty much no game out there that is like DbD
If Evolve 2 still existed I'd play that game over DbD. Sadly they had to drop the project years ago.
-
A lot of games included an MMR system and that doesn't mean they are ruined.
What DbD needs IMO and doesn't have, is something similar to a "quickplay" mode where you can't lose-gain MMR/rank.

It is NOT a crappy thing to do, it's playing your objective. FFS people - this kind of talk isn't helping.
It's not always the most tactically viable thing to do most of the time, but there are some times when a killer's best move is to camp. So attaching some sort of meaning like "Crappy" isn't helpful.
but there are some times when a killer's best move is to camp
Indeed. Actually, I've won games where I was clearly behind but then decided to camp the weakest survivor.
Usually, when you camp their weakest survivor they start turning really mad at you, and if you play it smart and you can hit some people, return to the hook, hit again, down, return to the hook, you can start snowballing from there.
And it's actually their fault if they eat the bait.
-
Eventually this game will die and that's a fact.
-
@EvanSnowWolf said:
Some people tunnel and camp specifically to draw out this angry reaction.
That's me. I use camping and tunnelling as a tool.
It's not toxic whatsoever, because we do not call toxic gen patrolling, and that's another strategy in order to win the match as killer.
Instead of just spitting random insults in end chat, they should have been level-headed and use the brain to counter my strategy during the game.
Probably, by doing so, they would not have spit random insults in end chat.
EDIT: Obvious but worth mentioning that I do not use these strategies in all of my games, because they are not always viable. You just want to use them a little bit and ONLY WHEN you really need it.
Contrary to popular belief, using camping/tunnelling effectively is a complicated thing to do.

So in-game toxicity is perfectly fine?
In-game """toxicity""" is perfectly fine for either side to use as you are just using strategies that are valid and allowed within the game.
If the creators of the game don't want these strategies to be in the game, they can just change the way this game works in order for them to disappear.
Camping and tunnelling are actually valid strategies that can turn the tide of what could look like a "lost match".
Not because they are viable strategies, but because they are psychological strategies. The fact that you camp and tunnel usually tilts people and when they are nervous/mad etc they'll start playing poorly, which benefits you in the end.

I personally think this is an incredibly overused phrase but you reap what you sow...
So if survivors use "toxic strategies" against me (and I use quotes because I always state that there's nothing like "toxic" strategies", that allows me to use insults against them?
And then after insulting them I'm safe because I can just say "You reap what you sow" and I get away with it?
I do not think that's how it works.

Yeaaaah so by your logic its like punching someone in the face in the street for no reasons and then being mad they sue you ?
I do not think that a scenario of physical violence in real life can be even remotely compared with what happens during a game.

@Venzhas said:
-Assume he plays toxic if he wants to

Wat
Assume he plays toxic if he wants to
There's no such thing as "toxic" behaviour during a game in DbD, just valid strategies.
made a thread asking people to stop complaining about his behaviour
made a thread asking people to stop
complaining about his behaviourinsulting in end chats. Why? Because if survivors use whatever strategy they consider valid but it pisses me off, I just gg and move on, but I'd never insult in an end-game chat.
What happens during the match and after the match are 2 completely unrelated scenarios. The fact that I used X strategy during the game, doesn't allow you to use insults against me in end chat. And the same applies otherwise.
I hope this was explanatory, because you wrote that "wat" like a person who cannot understand simple things.

@VexTheHex said:
You legit point out you get tilted and camp someone to lash out at them, but then your shocked the victim lashes out back at you? You're harvesting what you planted.
In game, all strategies are valid and if they are not valid they should remove them.
After the game, no toxicity should be allowed.
I think it's quite obvious.

Why would you care who plays the game? Remember when everyone said ninja was going to bring kids to the game? It didn’t happen
I do care about my environment.
That question it's the same as if I ask you: "Why would you care about the friends you hang you out with?"
Obviously, you care, because you care about your surroundings.

Freddy's kill rate is 75%. If you don't kill at least 3 survivors in the average game you are in the minority. I just don't think you are playing Freddy good enough because the average killer can do it.

Sources pls.

- Tru3Ta1ent: The best one overall without a doubt. Outspoken, he cares 0 about criticism, he just speaks without filters. He's not faking fake happiness the whole day, he just acts naturally. On top of that, I absolutely agree with all his ideas, plus his play style fits me 100%.
- Otzdarva, Scott Jund: I arrange these in the same category because both are pretty much the same: your typical and classic charismatic person who will say the popular opinion, and always faking a good mood. I watch their videos, but I usually don't like these type of people.
- Paulie Esther: Chill guy, watched a couple of videos. Can't say much about this one.
- Dowsey, The King: Who are these ones? Never watched a single video of them.

The idea of stealth of killers is considerably strong, but in reality, I find them somehow weak.
I love stealth killers don't get me wrong, they are my favourites.
The fact that you can hide your TR from survivors is really impactful, but while you are playing them they don't feel as strong as they should be.
-
From the killer perspective, my experience is that the random survivor will most likely camp the hatch waiting for the other one to die.
-
I don't even care about offerings tho, usually I'm looking at my phone or browsing the web.

I mean yeah generally it doesn’t matter what killer you play if you aren’t good you’ll still suck.
Playing against a 4 man death squad and losing simply isn't related with a person "sucking" or "not sucking" at the game. You have played killer little if you do not understand the concept.
-
@Kirkylad said:
You just have to understand that when your against one of those 4 man squads who are rushing out the gens you aren't suppose to win. People who main killer with thousands of hours struggle to these guys and lose to them often so the average Joe gamer just has to accept it. You can either try your best and use it as practice or accept defeat and meme around or wait for the gens to get done. It's sad but it's just a part of the game that every now and again you're going to have these kind of matches.
And that's why I love to play killer, If I played survivor with friends my games would turn peaceful mode :P

I do the same when it's a sweaty swf and haven't gotten a kill by the time there are 2 gens left no hooks and I don't have a solid 3 gen strategy left...stare at the corner so they don't get chase points and play on my phone...just hear the clicky click behind me or the pallet drop into vault endlessly🤣
So if you stare at a wall they can't earn points? Good to know, I'll do that from now on.

I mean, people can judge you. You can play how you want, but if you are being greasy you are being greasy.
Generally though getting face camped by Bubba is fun as hell and I love it myself haha. It's most fun when in a SWF because you can joke between each other about how you've been "chosen" and then fight to be the one who gets face camped instead.
"I mean, people can judge you. You can play how you want, but if you are being greasy you are being greasy."
Not everybody is gonna play fair and trying that everyone has fun, that's unrealistic. It would be boring as well to see every time the same type of gameplay.

Seems like they try and get your attention more in those instances
They can try all they want, but I'm AFK and their game ended the moment I went AFK.
They could consider it a win, or what they want, but as a killer I got complete control over the match.
If the game It's not being fun I can completely shut it down by going AFK and then, the match is over.
When you are the killer, you rule over the match.

@GeneralV said:
To be fair, most of the killer roaster can't deal with a 4 man death squad. I dare say only Nurse and Spirit can win such trials.
Yeah, and struggling.
-
As killer, if I face speedrunner I don't DC because I'd get no BPs... I just go afk, since there are no penalties for going AFK.
I go AFK, browse some internet and wait until the game it's done.
If they didn't make the game fun for me, I'm not gonna make it fun for them either.
-
Nah it's not OP at all. 80% of the times I use BBQ It's because I'm farming BPs, not because I actually want to use the aura reading ability, that's a minor advantage.
