While I do respect your opinion (#DeleteLegion!) I don't think that's a great idea. I think you should be able to pick whatever perks you'd like with synergies in mind when making a build. If a given perk combination is too strong, I think the right answer is to nerf/rework one or both of the perks. In this case, I'd rework DS.
I think the old DS was more fair in some scenarios. If I remember correctly, the old DS just had 1 use, like unbreakable now.
Now, DS can be used up to 2 times. While you can just slug people, It's certainly stronger now and unfair.
I'd rework DS to just have 1 use like before.

Definitely the MMR system is what's needed for real "balanced" matchmaking (in League of Legends there's also an MMR system).
But somehow that's not working yet and games are still a bit random.
What I know for sure, is that I strongly disagree with the Devs: ranks actually matter in measuring your skill level.
To rank up, you need a decent performance. You have 4 emblems which you need to fill with points, and guess what you need to earn points? You guessed right, you need to be good at the game.
I don't think the problem with the ranking system was actually the ranks, but the awful matchmaking.
Before, a rank 17 killer could easily face 4 red rank survivors. How they think this is fair?
Killers were facing high rank survivors all time, while survivors were facing low rank killers the whole time. This led to not so skilled rank 1 survivors and highly skilled rank 1 killers.
But this is all the fault of matchmaking, not ranks.
If ideally people were paired with the same ranks, games would be even.
To finish with this comment, I think that maybe instead of 20 ranks, we need 40 or 30. I think that 20 ranks are not enough to display the whole range of ability levels.

The shrine of secrets needs a little change, to be fair for all players:
Only perks from licensed killers/survivors should appear
Because that's what makes sense. The shrine's only purpose is allowing people to get the perks of licensed characters because they don't have the money to pay or because they just don't want to pay.
And usually, perks from licensed killers/survivors appear rarely.
The actual shrine of secrets adds nothing useful to the game, and must be changed.

I have no reason to have mercy in a survivor-sided game. If killers were like...EXTREMELY OP to a point of being unfair to play against, maybe I'd have mercy.
If it's the last survivor and they don't struggle, they'll get hatch depending on several factors:
- Their behavior during the match: if they were cocky/disrespectful towards me, they won't get hatch, obviously.
- My mood: if I'm in a good mod and the first condition is positive, they are likely to get the hatch. Still, nothing is guaranteed.
If they want my mercy and hatch if they are the last one standing, they'll have to had earned it during the match.
Nothing comes for free in this life.
-
Somebody got the hatch closed in front of their face when they almost got it.
-
If the map is small, I instantly love it
-
That's a really old bug. It happens for both killers and survivors.
And not only on hills, It can happen near every inch of raised terrain.
-
Gosh you are really the type of survivor I like to face in my games.
I have played this game for a long time, and I just found your type like... 5 times max?
Usually they are just toxic.
Usually no survivor will know that the way killer is meant to be played, is trying to reach the peak performance, and not a 4k.
The games where you end up not killing anyone, those are the games where survivors get really cocky. And it's funny that if you get a 4k, the last survivor usually says nothing.
But you could have got a 4k a not a merciless killer tho.
Regarding the killer play style, I have exactly the same mindset and opinion as the famous killer main "tru3ta1ent".
He always aims for a "Merciless killer", not for a 4k.
For example, yesterday I got a ruthless killer just getting 2k. My performance was good enough to get the previous best ranking.
The day all survivors understand that we, main killers, aim for performance and map control, not for kills, they will be less toxic imo.
Because that's what's enjoyable about the killer role, map controlling. If you don't like map controlling you don't like the real killer play style.

This.
When Clown is used properly, and proper thought is put into each bottle toss, survivors that aren’t good at stealth are screwed in most cases.
Stealth is Clown’s only real weakness. Used properly, Clown dominates chases.
They can still vault/drop pallets so why?

if you think that then you need to learn alot about playing killer, everyone has strengths and weaknesses thats kinda the point of games that involve different characters, abilities, classes etc. or they would all just be skins. also wraith is great leave my cloak boy alone lol
I think I have played killer enough time now for knowing that all killers are different, with different advantages and weaknesses. But this, has absolutely nothing to do with the tier list.
You can have good games with low tier killers, but will happen rarely. There are killers who are strong and killers who are weak, as simple as that. It's like that in all the games: LoL, Overwatch...etc etc etc. And killers who are in really low tier, are in that position because something is wrong with them related with the current meta. And what happens when that situation goes for a long time? Yes you guessed it, that's the reason why they rework characters in all the games. To try to make weak characters into viable ones for everybody.

Im honestly sick and tired of seeing the complaints about DS. I'm a 6k hour killer main with 16.5k kills yes i know this matter little. Ds does NOT affect my games in the least. sure... there are situations when i get dsd in the gate and they escape BUT.... It VERY rarely gets to endgame. i'm not trying to say i'm the greatest killer in the world but the only time it gets to endgame is when im facing that 0.5% 4 stack on comms with metas. it really isn't the perk that's a problem its your strat and swf breaks the game if the survivors are really good at the game. SLug em it's still map pressure not as good as a hook, but still pressure. just play the game guys you win you win you lose you lose. it is that simple
GGS
DS only affect to those who tunnel. If you don't tunnel, you make them waste a perk slot.

Clown doesn't need a buff he needs a complete rework. Same for trapper, wraith...etc. Nowadays they are ######### killers are extremely weak.

It depends on the situation. If I'm playing Huntress, for example, and I down someone and immediately see another, you bet I'm going to leave that first guy slugged and go for a second. A slugged person still needs to be saved, and if I have one down and one in chase, that means that a third needs to go for the save and only one guy is left on gens.
If you down that first guy and you have no idea where anyone else is, then yes, slugging is silly in that case. You might as well take the guaranteed hook.
As always, there's a time and a place for every stragegy, and all are valid

There's literally no point. Slugging at 5 gens and one hooking everyone because you have crazy add-ons makes all Survivors de-rank and at best gives you brutal killer.
If a team is doing that bad, I usually start hooking instead of slugging and let them save so I can farm a merciless killer and end the game at 2-3 gens instead of 5.
If they slugged you at 5 gens you guys got too cocky with the killer. There's no way a killer can slug at 5 gens unless survivors just get "clicky clicky" and teabagging in front of him/her.
If the killer slugged is because they wanted to do so, or you let them do it. Anyways, I don't really know what's the point of complaining about slugging if it's not bannable.

Why bring another clown in?
Maybe to have one that actually works out and not Z tier

It's unlikely you'll be banned for having connection issues. However, if this is a real concern for you, either contact your ISP and get them to fix it, or stop playing games your connection can't handle.
As I said, this connection speed problems happen just rarely. And if for now I haven't been banned, I think I won't.
I just was asking here because due to the VPN killers stuff, I thought that maybe they'd think I'm one or something.

Why in 2020 people still cry about moris?
Moris are an ultra rare add-don, and do you know what that means? You won't find moris in every single game. Sure, if you have a prestige 3 character moris will come and go more easily but we, killers, only use moris when we are tired of losing or something like that.
Moris don't let you earn a lot of bps so that's why you'll only use them in certain situations.
Moris are ok and balanced, and keys also exist for survivors, so pls don't complain more about this.

As a main killer, I can tell that if you simply don't tunnel in your matches, you are making survivors waste a perk slot.
And this, is good for me as a killer of course. I just have to not tunnel, and I make a popular perk useless.
A lot of people is running this perk so, making them waste a perk slot gives a little advantage.
-
Welcome to the world of main killers, yet survivors will cry about "Killers are S T R O N G"
-
Using that add-on won't change the fact that if killer's aim is a #########, it will still be a #########.
Using that add-on doesn't instantly make you a god.
It just rewards you for spending bloodpoints and for having good aim.
-
I know she is powerful, but I don't have fun with her. I think that in loops she is horrible + her mobility just sucks. She is only powerful when in open fields.
And practicing aim is hard as ######### with her.
If you really like the character and her playstyle main her, if don't, you'll get frustrated.
-
Let's just close this thread, it's of no use to talk with this dude
-
If you have been a killer main for years, I think you can answer yourself that question. I think the answer is pretty obvious.
There are several things going on that can make a killer frustrated:
- Unfair matchmaking: actually I'd say this is like the 80% of the problem (the rest would be the 2nd reason). If game after game you get beaten up by people of skill way above you, the only kills that you know you can have, you will want to ensure them. How? Camping, and tunneling. Of course not all of us do that, but it's a natural behavior to do so, when you know you can't win. At least, you want some bps, that's better than nothing.
- Extreme toxicity in survivors: when unfair matchmaking happens, you'd expect a kind behavior of survivors towards you, after they realize how unbalanced was the match due to the rank difference, your perks...etc. It's very easy to tell just by checking the rank+score+perks+addons if a person is new to the game, still learning, beginner, advanced, or pro. You don't need to be a genius to know this (if you have played the game enough of course). In general, no matter the way you play, you'll get toxicity/insults/harassment from survivors in the end chats. And you'll get it fairly often. If you haven't received this kind of hate speech against you, you are very lucky buddy.
Finally, I have to say that these reasons, are the ones that are making main killers to switch to survivor or just quit. There are more reasons obviously, but if you want to dig more into this matter, you can always go and ask in the DBD subreddit for killers (yes, there is one).
I hope that I have clarified all your doubts.
