That freddy you faced is not a real main killer in my opinion.
When you have enough hours playing killer you realize that your aim is to get a ruthless/merciless killer, not a 4k.
You can 4k and have a bad performance, which is a nonsense to me.
Besides, if you don't play for performance and you want a 4k, your toxicity at the game will increase considerably.
The only thing that gets me mad sometimes is getting a brutal killer or entity displeased. That means that my performance wasn't good enough.

Meg lol, that breathing.

That's not new that the matchmaking system is broken.
No matter your rank as killer, you'll always find high rank survivors.

My biggest problem with the DC penalty is not on survivor. It's when I am playing killer and I don't have a fast way to end the match. The way forfeiting could work is
- Killer loses X% of Blood Points
- The Killer will automatically depip
- The Survivor should be compensated with a X amount of Blood Point
Add or remove whatever you want but I just want there to be a way to quickly end the match especially with killer lock is still in the game.
Opening the exit doors lmao. This idea is actually really good if you just give up at a match, and also if you want to leave your little rabbits free HAHAHAH.

"Proxy camping" is not camping in certain situations if you use it with a purpose and in a tactical way.

Another chapter, and another killer chapter with 3 op killers' perks. BHVR, are you going to give something to surv this year? I don't know, a good perk, and small buff, something like that. Everybody knows that this is a killer forum, but please, listen to survs too.
Is this a killer forum really?
I thought this was the official DbD forums.

Wait, do people think hitting rank 1 is really that hard? Seriously?
I have said this some time ago, but I don't mind repeating it.
To me, ranks definitely showcase your skill level. BUT, there are 2 major problems with the system:
- 20 ranks are not enough. We would need like 10 or 20 more.
- The matchmaking system is completely broken. With or without MMR. We can't expect ranks to faithfully showcase the ability level of a player, if brown/yellow killers are paired with red rank survivors. From my own experience climbing as killer, since I was rank 20, I usually got paired with red rank survivors. I was playing like...80% of my time against red ranks no matter my rank. Hence, making my climbing much harder comparing it to a survivor. If killers are getting high level survivors, obviously, this means that high rank survivors are getting low rank killers, hence, climbing up as survivor is easier (not easy, but easier).
And of course, this hasn't been my experience alone, it's widespread between killers.
Why this trend happens? I don't really know, maybe it's due to the lack of low-medium rank survivors so killers usually get high rank survivors? I don't know.
But from my own view, If we had more ranks, and you got paired with people at least in your same color, ranks would matter a lot more.

This game is not old, not popular, but with the time it will change. I meet a lot of level 1-5, never the same player (no costum clothes)... I would like the source of the 250 players..🤣
"Also that is just your opinion and i also fear you might be pretty alone who would claim that those 3 are not very powerful. It might be that you are a console killer and you can not abuse the power of Deathslinger because of the controler or whatever, but yes, on PC he is just sick in chases. Same with Oni and Pyramid Head, they are just really really strong, i dont know how strong a killer has to become that he is good in your eyes."
It is not the material that makes the person but the person. With Ghostface, for example, I was winning a lot of games but I was also getting reports my Xbox profile was almost on "avoid me".. Against a team that tests you and knows the game you can have a mouse and a keyboard you won't stand a chance (except for one mistake), that's why you win their mistakes, not because you're good, it's the game 1 vs 4.

Exactly, and it's a small part of the DBD population that migrates on RE resistance... tomorrow maybe it will be much more than that ! How many players do I come across with DBD perks on their profiles?

"Ps: I don't know why the developers have created this new killer, I don't understand anything i'm confused..."
The moment I heard that a new DLC was going out in the PTB too soon I was like: "No god please, it's too soon, probably something of low effort will appear".
And that was exactly what happened with the new killer :)
-
Damn I saw this post too late :C
-
To me, noticing an Object of obsession survivor just means that probably, they are cocky and overconfident.
So, usually this type of survivors are really good at looping, and they always bring a flashlight. They will just try to make you lose time walking in your way trying to lure you into chasing them. They will try to make you angry...etc.
But if you are a good killer you'll just ignore these type of survivors. Usually when you ignore them, they will keep trying to attract your attention, so you are just making them lose time.
I just ignore Object of obsession survivors, and suddenly that perk turns into an advantage for me, not for the survivor.
Regardless, it's also true that this perk is scary in 4 man red rank SWAT SWFs compositions.

No fnaf please, no.

I don't play survivor, but I think it could a cool addition tho.
Solo survivors lack communication so maybe within a limited range they can talk, can be nice imo.

You can't go on the profile of Console players and vise versa for Console players to Steam players. Even then though, just turn off comments on your profile or make it friends only.
A few bad apples shouldn't ruin the bunch
I was being ironic.
I actually have my steam profile comments section open to get salt, because I enjoy that. I laugh a lot reading the comments I get.
-
Moris are in a sense, somewhat like gen rush. So, using them will hurt your final scoring, same as gen rushing.
You already have a tradeoff there.
-
"DBD has become very toxic and very frustrating for the killer"
It always has been like this. Nothing has changed.
-
Yeah pls BHVR enable chat for crossplay so I can get more salt in my steam profile.
-
EBONY MEMENTO MORI
Ebony rework doesn't even make sense.
If the survivor has been hooked twice, the third hook would kill them. So what would be the advantage of throwing an ebony mori? None.
To kill a survivor on the 3rd attempt, we already have hooks, so that rework is pointless. The current ebony mori just skips 1 attempt, which is a real advantage for the killer, so that's why it's an offering. Offerings give advantages, your "rework" is not an advantage, it's just making ebony moris useless (I kinda feel that you are making this post out of a ragequit).
Next.
IVORY MEMENTO MORI
For this mori it seems that you have suggested 2 possible changes:
1- Kill one survivor who has been hooked, except the Obsession
Again, a nonsense. Mainly, because usually you don't want your obsession to die.
Most obsession-related perks are meant to give advantages to the killer while he is using his obsession for whatever reason.
The only case you would want to kill your obsession is if you are using an endgame build with "Remember me". In that case, you want to hit your Obsession as many times as possible and kill them.
So why would we change Ivory mori just to counter a perk that is not even OP?
Next.
2- Kill a survivor who has been hooked twice
This change is useless for the same reason your suggested change for ebony moris is.
A survivor who has been hooked twice, would die the next time he/she's is hooked. So what's the point on running an offering for that.
Next.
MY THOUGHTS ON ACTUAL MORIS
They don't need to be changed at all. They give advantages, of course, but that's the point of burning an offering.
It's true that ebony moris can be strong, but let's be real, we just use them from time to time when we want to have some fun.
Using moris will actually damage your performance as killer. So there's already a trade off for using them.
Finally, if you burn ebony moris survivors will unlock their true strength called "True sneaky&crazy gen rushing".
You will get 5 gens done and they will escape before you can even blink. So running ebony moris is actually more detrimental for killers that it is for survivors.
Usually killers who run ebony moris want to have fun, not to try hard. If I want to try hard, I'll pick a meta killer with meta perks, I don't need an ebony mori for that.
Ebony moris are cool and fun because of the animations. That's my only reason for using moris, because they damage my performance a lot.

Yeah, this game is Survivors vs. Killers at it's core, but we also NEED each other. And that is part of the reason that I play both.
Without one side, we cannot have the other. Cooperation and not tearing at each other's throats is somehow better for us and for the game's health.
I know, and a long time ago I played survivor just to know my enemy you know. Just to understand that psychological part so I can play better against them.
A lot of toxicity is not good at all but hey, I always know I performed well when I got a ruthless/merciless and people want me to die in the end game chat :DDDD, and they call me "tunneler and camper".
When that happens, you played well HAHAHAH (of course, if you got a brutal killer or less maybe what they are saying is real).
-
Matchmaking never worked.
Also, you were playing against a probably PC killer, that's a difference if you are on console.
If we take into account that ranking up as killer is harder than survivor due to the broken matchmaking, to be a rank 1 killer you need to be good at it.

Most characters cost 500 cells, which means both the Killer and the survivor come to 1,000 cells which equals $10. But if you purchase the DLC from the respective store it usually goes for $7. Besides the last thing I want to do is spend shards because spending upwards to 9,000 or more shards for one character isn't exactly something I'm thrilled about, especially how long it takes to stockpile up those shards.
It's up to you if you want to spend real money on non-licensed characters, but in my opinion, it's a waste.

The reason you would use real life money is because you save money by buying the whole chapter instead of the characters separately. But I wouldn't be surprised if the character gets a rework considering the bad word of mouth he's getting from BHVR's own Fog Whispers.
Still, why would you spend money to buy a new killer and a new survivor if you can spend in game free currency?
You don't save money by buying the DLC.
You save more money spending iridescent shards because they are free to get.
-
The moment the arguments about "Killer VS Survivor" end, this game will end lmfao.
I know that this game is toxic as hell in that respect, and that we need to fix it, but hey, it's part of the fun.
I ######### on them, and they ######### on me.

That's the last thing you should do. No gamer should spend money for just perks. We deserve better than that, because we don't want to encourage this kind of thing in the future.
This is a non-licensed killer. To buy him, you have to spend iridescent shards, which is a free to play currency.
Of course that you can buy him with real money, but who would buy a non-licensed killer with real life money.
I just hope that this killer doesn't make it to the live servers until his power has been completely reworked.
-
The big deal?
That these perks are new.
Everything that is new it's scary at the start, then It will become normal.
It's all about first impressions.
To me they are really ok, not extremely op.
Remember that we are always talking about a hex mechanic: high risk high reward, RNG based.
-
So you want AK-47, rifles, tanks and that stuff for survivors right?
-
-
I'll just buy him to unlock his perks and that's it.
If I want to run I already have legion, which is more consistent in that respect.
-
I don't think that you make people feel terror with dbd because once you have experienced, you are no longer terrified.
BUT.
You can improve the game for example with more gore. I would love that.
All the improvements you said are logical, but never expect people being afraid while playing this game.
As I once read, DbD is not a horror game, is a horror-themed game.
-
Camping and tunneling is an advantage for killers?
You really think what you are saying?
-
First things first, when you get an unfair hit as a survivor, this doesn't mean that the killer is automatically using a VPN.
This just means that the killer has a slow connection, which can be due to using a VPN, that's right, but that's not the only way of getting a slow connection.
They may be using WiFi, and they may be a little bit far away from their router. This also slows down their connection, which can be seen as "hacking".
In my opinion, people reporting these type of killers are just wasting their time, because you can't prove that the killer is using a VPN or not that easily. Only people at the technical department could do, checking at their public IPs and comparing them with known VPN server's IPs to see if they match or not. To do this, they must track data packages also, is not that easy. It can be done, definitely, but not easily.
Finally, I think that is not a big deal, because in the killer's end is not an instant win. When you have a slow connection as a killer you can't barely move sometimes, and to get unfair hits, the survivor needs to be really close. And to get close to the survivor, first you have to be able to freely move. Which is hard when you have a really slow connection.

You have to ignore people complaining.
You're welcome.
-
I think everybody are overreacting about new perks.
I love them, they are strong and they add something new to the gameplay, also they'll make hex builds more fun.
They'll force survivors to focus on totems so the gen rush issue can be solved in a way.
There's nothing wrong with the new perks imo.
-
I don't know any of you, but I'm just paralyzed after reading all of this.
One of my biggest traumas in life is death itself, maybe due to I was 3 times near death. Also, because I'm a huge atheist. I have a complete scientific and logical mind, so I just think that there's nothing after life, just the void. I'll just disappear, leaving no tracks behind me.
Because of this death trauma I have, I just care about the present, about what's happening while I'm alive, because after that, I know that there will be nothing. This is just, what I believe.
Also, I have this trauma because I'm a coward. So seeing that you can handle your death with a smile and spending time with your family...is just...amazing. You are definitely not a coward like me.
I just wanted to tell you something, I don't know if it will help or not, but I want to say it.
In 2016 I started writing because of this fear about dying. I know I will die some day, but what I wrote, will not die. Maybe my body will disappear but what my thoughts, my words, that will remain.
I encourage you to write something, about what you like. Maybe your feelings, or just about you. Maybe your biography.
Writing will be powerful, even if you are not here. For the people who love you, and for those who don't know you.
I read once about philosophers, that they always said they will eventually die, but their ideas will remain.
Try to write Cheers, and you will remain.
I hope I could say something like "I'll see you in heaven" or something like that, but I just can't.
I don't know you, but goodbye.

Problem being that if we disable crossplay, then we can only match with other people on our platform that have disabled crossplay as well. So by disabling crossplay the loading matchmaking times will be longer than ever before. So in other words, we can't disable crossplay if we actually want to be able to find a match.
A lot of people is disabling cross play on console now since they realized the huge gap (hardware differences and optimizations obv, also gamepad vs mouse and keyboard).

Exactly! The gap is like so huge.
That's why a loot of people on console is just disabling that option. I guess a lot less console players now and my queue times last for few minutes, before queue times lasted a few seconds.

In theory this could be helpful, but imagine somebody who wants to record/livestream using a specific build, now that person isn't able to do it.
Would it be fair? Don't think so.
I do think tho that encouraging people into using different build and non-meta perks is really important, because it gives the game variety and it's actually a healthy behavior. But banning perks I don't think it's the right way to do so.
Even myself spammed in the past meta perks with killer, I thought that every build must include BBQ and POP but hey, once you get tired of the meta stuff you start trying out new things naturally.
The more hours you have in the game, the less afraid you are to try out new things.

Since some people started using VPNs to throttle their connections, now they all think everybody who has lag is using a VPN.
Dear survivors, not everybody has a perfect and stable internet connection. Sometimes you can experience high ping peaks, makes you laggy, and you can get undeserved hits. But this doesn't mean that you are using a VPN.
Having a bad connection and using a VPN creates the same scenario, thus you can be confused abouter whether the killer is using VPN or not, but the reality is that you can't really know that unless you are actively tracking the killer's public IP.

Is not the same wanting 1 specific map, than not wanting 1 specific map.
