It's a trade-off - you turn on his terror radius and red stain for anyone he's chasing; in exchange, you risk him changing targets to you. It's better used from a vantage point where you can see him at a distance chasing someone, so you break him out of it to give them more awareness.

It doesn't need to slow him down or doing anything else because of how ridiculously easy it is to break his stealth.

Otherwise, if you give him a debuff - then change his breaking mechanic to require something like continuous line of sight on him that resets if that line of sight is broken - so you can't look at him a little here, little there, little more here and break him out; you have to see him constantly to break his stealth.

Easy to break his stealth? Sure maybe sometimes but it's way too inconsistent. I've had multiple times where he will just be standing in the open stalking me, and I'll just stand there trying to reveal him and it will just keep starting the reveal then cuting off before it finishes, neither of us were moving. Ghost face can stalk you if he sees your pinky toe, yet for me a single blade of grass seems to be enough to stop the reveal.

I agree. Either make it active more than 30 sec after kick. This barely allows you to leave before it deactivates. Or, as you said if not triggered shorten the cooldown to 30 seconds because 30 already went by.

Yeah, the only time it would ever come into use is if a survivor gen taps right after you kick, but even then that would only happen once. They need to either get rid of the cooldown if its not activated/lengthen the time it's active, or then need to add some incentive to tap the gen, like maybe some bonus regression speed or something.

  • I don't ever disconnect against legion, but legion with thanatophobia is so annoying, especially if they have sloppy as well. Those are just some of the longest games because everything takes forever because you can't stay healthy for more than 20 seconds so it's not even worth healing but because of that everything else takes ages.

  • Performance issues on console, and that performance upgrade we were promised ages ago that never came.

First time I’ve heard this from anyone, always wondered how things were on PC side of DBD as far as wearing out mouses, keyboards, etc.

I go thru a PS4 controller every 4-6mths. Usually, it’s the left joystick that has been wearing out an snapping.

Hopefully you can get a keyboard to plug into your laptop.

How are you breaking joysticks? Do circles with wiggling, not side to side.

  • Is that happening to everyone? It's happening to everyone I know and myself.

  • Yeah sam issue here, incredibly annoying.

  • Problem is that there is latency issues. I was in crossplay for awhile, and firstly there always seems to be more latency and hits that shouldn't have connected when the killer is a different platform, and secondly almost all of the top killers are just better when played on PC, any killer with a projectile or nurse and Billy (due to being able to flick) are a lot stronger in the hands of a capable pc player compares to a console player. So that combined with the disadvantages of latency and almost never being able to 360 just makes it not worth finding a match 10 seconds earlier. Also in my experience, y'all are sweats, like chill. Never seen so many sweaty tryharding killers in one day than when I enabled crossplay. (I guess could be PS4 or switch..... Yeah let's be honest it's definitely not switch)

I'm a PC killer main and it's funny because for me, usually "god tier" killer are boring to me. Nurse, hillbilly and that stuff.

But I've been trying cross play and I can easily beat 4 console survivors with almost every killer in the game.

This is not something about killers being sweaty, is about the differences between console and PC. You just can't compare both platforms unless you are like a really god survivor on console. PC will always have advantages.

Also, I don't need to have mercy for console players because they have the option of "turning off cross play". If they left that on, then that's not my problem.

Since I guess you are a survivor console player, I will explain to you how it is the average killer main on PC.

We usually don't play to get a 4k, but to get a merciless/ruthless killer, peak performance. This means, that we will usually have no mercy in any situation just to get our best scoring possible.

We always play using our brain, map control, map pressure, and logic everytime. This means, we won't take into account survivor's feelings.

But of course, at the end of the game, I will say gg to those who played fair and showed skill.

And we will show no respect to those who acted cocky or showing no respect towards us.

    As simple as this.

Problem being that if we disable crossplay, then we can only match with other people on our platform that have disabled crossplay as well. So by disabling crossplay the loading matchmaking times will be longer than ever before. So in other words, we can't disable crossplay if we actually want to be able to find a match.

  • I agree 100%. I don't really care for the endgame chat but a built in VC is a must. As of right now cross friends and playing with this is almost pointless since you can actually talk to them (without difficulty) which is the whole point in playing with friends.

  • I hate to be that guy, but as killer I never see decisive or unbreakable as a issue. I always go after the unhooker and there's never any issues. If someone with ds throws themselves at me to use it, then I'll just eat it and continue chasing them or do something else if it's not worth continuing. That or I'll slug them and waste their time, and if they have unbreakable, then that's now used up too. I see plenty of ds's but I rarely get hit by it because I just go after the rescuer. Red rank lobby's btw, typically get a 3k, or a 4k if they don't get hatch. No ruin, or noed.

I was going to get the Nea skin but I'll pass with it being linked. No one cared about clipping issues with certain clothing...their loss in revenue...this is their problem, trash communication with their player base...0 description on the Cheryl cosmetics when they come out that you couldn't mix and match because most of them would of looked awesome combo'd .... Now none licensed characters full sets only...nah sorry not buying it.

Yeah same here, I saw the set get leaked a little while back and as a nea main I was so sure I was going to get it. But with it being linked and for auric cells only, I changed my mind which makes me sad because I think it's a great looking set, I just want to be able to mix it.

  • I like the designs on some of them (like midwhich) but gameplay wise I hate indoor maps. I play both killer and survivor (although survivor more) and always hate when I get a indoor map no matter which side I'm playing.

  • Definitely a wendigo, that would be awesome, and personally I think dead by daylight could use some more scary looking killers.

  • I believe that is intentional. Flashlight accuracy (steadiness) is meant to be worse when injured. For that reason you have the add-ons that increase flashlight accuracy.

  • Yeah like my black cat hat for nea, it used to look so good but so I bought it but then they changed it and now it looks like someone dipped a mop in some purple paint and glued it to her head. It went from one of my favorite cosmetics to one of my least favorite.

  • I know this post is a little old but I just feel like if you used white ward but you die without a item in your hand then you get white ward back
