NOED is just an annoying perk that's all.
Because in terms of tier, it's a low one.
If you did bad throughout your game, you'll get 1 or 2 kills if your are really lucky and they are a decent team.
Your final score won't turn to ruthless/merciless just for getting 1 or 2 late game kills.
Also, NOED is completely RNG. Can be taken out in a second or not.
NOED is sooo inconsistent, that's why I never run it. It's a bad perk.
Maybe with the new "Hex: Undying", you could get consistent NOED end game builds, but until that, I barely run it.

A personal favourite of mine I like to do to randoms (Since I have no friends to play DbD with) is use my trusty Pebble at the Blendette that's just Self-Caring away in the corner. It's always such a strange coincidence the killer arrives moments later. Almost like something attracted them! ๐ค
We become great friends afterwards. They send me such nice messages!
LOOOL NEVER HEARD ABOUT SOMEBODY DOING THAT.
Omg that's hilarious, you can troll a bunch by doing that.
If I'm bored I can try that tho in survivor games hahahaha.

Nope, also possible from behind, to help out a teammate, for example.
Wooow dude, nice that now, I know that. Because maybe sometime I play nurse and I get beaten up not knowing that #########.
And can nurse and wraith counter that mechanic by using light born? I guess not but wanting to know.

Yes, when she is charging her Blink. The thing is, unlike Wraith, the Nurse will turn around and kill you for that. So its not really worth it.
Do they need to be looking at your face to burn you, or not?
-
Making them waste time healing is one of the strategies that I most like.
The other one is gen regressing builds.
Yeah, absolutely annoying to play against, but that's how you counter gen speeds.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Yeah, its an outdated mechanic which only affects two Killers - Wraith and Nurse. And the Benefit against Nurse is so minor that nobody would really try to do it, so it only really affects Wraith.
It should be removed.
The nurse can be burned? How have I have played this game for 2 or 3 years now and never noticed about it?
Looooool im completely dumb.
Well I never play nurse tho.

If you're camping yes, tunneling however will grant you an immense amount of pressure if you can get someone out of the game early. 4 gens against 3 survivors is basically a garunteed 3-4k.
Let's be realistic, against a decent team tunneling 1 survivor early game to try to take it out of the game it's a bad strategy. Because they'll really know how to loop and you'll just waste time, allowing 3 people do spread.
Of course taking out 1 survivor early is strong and I try to do it, but I don't get it tunneling. I get it switching targets as fast as possible, and getting to the survivor I know it's close to die when the DS timer is probably off. Because if I just tunnel 1 person, usually, it's worse for you as the killer than better.

Scott is simply wrong.
Deathslinger and Spirit have counterplay whether you like it or not, otherwise these killers would be picked with 100% pickrate in competitive or be banned. Surprise surprise that is not the case.
Finally somebody that uses the brain here instead of whining.
-
Tunneling is not powerful, tunneling makes you lose a ton of time and map pressure.
-
Nerfing...deathslinger?
So I guess the next nerf after that will be for trapper?
-
Once I made a long answer explaining why moris are OK.
I can't remember my answer soo I can't give link, if you are bored browse my profile to find that answer.
-
Omg dude why did you make me realize about this looool.
Good thing I never play huntress.
-
Nice idea but....then I could use that punishment as a strategy.
Let's say survivors have a certain amount of time and they need to rescue, if the killer is away from the hook.
Then, I can take advantage of that and proxy camp, knowing that they will get punished if they don't rescue. I'd just need to know exactly my distance to the hook and the fastest route to it.
Plus, If i'm playing things like demo, freddy, Billy...etc I can just get back to the hook really quick.
I don't think punishing survivors for not rescuing would be good because then, survivors would become really predictable.
But maybe, I would agree with some kind of punishment regarding scoring. If you camp as a killer you lose points, so maybe if you stay too long doing nothing as survivor, you lose points too.

Let's play a game. Find the difference.
NOED is by far the worst perk in the game and any killer who uses it is just so bad, you shouldn't be able to win because you couldn't confirm a kill the whole match. Survivors shouldn't be punished for actually doing a good job and getting to end game - will it ever be removed or changed?
Dead hard,DS,unbreakable, for the people,BT,adrenaline are by far the worst perks in the game and any survivor who uses it is just so bad, you shouldn't be able to win because you did a mistake and then press a button to fix it during the whole match. Killers shouldn't be punished for actually doing a good job and killing survivors - will these ever be removed or changed?
Teacher teacher! Me me! I found the difference!
NOED is a low tier perk and the other ones not! ๐๐๐๐๐
-
NOED is a really bad an low tier perk with almost no impact to the game.
Let newbies use it in low ranks so they don't get discouraged.
If they rank up, they'll naturally stop using it, unless they are doing specific builds.
-
What they did with that skin is a complete let down to me.
Also, it shows a lack of respect to the original creator of that design.

I used to behave nicely because I'm a compassionate person. Not every person feels it, but if you are interested to know more about it, you may want to read about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compassion
yeah, and I just feel that when I'm facing completely newbie survivors who don't even know what they are supposed to do in the realm.
If they know what they are doing, I just give hatch in certain scenarios. For example, if a survivor showed a lot of respect to me and wasn't cocky.
-
I can tell you when I do play hillbilly...
When I have a quest for him lol.
Never liked the killer, and I won't do it in the future.
To me, is one of the most boring killers, like trapper and hag.
-
Why should I behave nicely in a survivor-sided game? Tsss
-
And they say there's no difference between PC and console... *laughs maliciously*
-
Friendly reminder: not every killer is using a VPN, you just need to be laggy to get unfair hits.

Thing is, they wouldn't do this if they actually feared the killer.
But they can't fear the killer if they are in the exit gates already for example.
-
Survivors getting cocky and disrespectful are the worst thing about this game.
You won the mind game or loop? Nice, you did better than me, but there's no reason to show no respect for me.
You escaped? Nice, you managed to get away from me or not even appear in my screen playing sneaky, you can just leave and not teabag in the gate getting cocky.
-
I have a very fixed mindset in this regard.
If there is a strategy, there is a counterplay for that strategy.
Everything has a counterplay, but maybe you never realized which was, or nobody discovered it yet.
-
For now, just run it on M1 killers.
-
I wouldn't want to see a trapper 2.0

I don't really care about the deranking. It still means all four survivors got shat on in a really unfair way? Why would I reward a killer with a free 4-man kill when they're being a jerk?
Playing killer is all about scoring and performance. Getting a 4k doesn't mean you won.
Just if you got a ruthless/merciless killer, your performance was decent. Anything below that, is considered as "losing": brutal killer or entity displeased. Because with a "brutal killer" you don't earn pips, and with an "Entity displeased" you lose 1 pip.
Making a killer get a safety pip or depip, is actually punishing them.
If the killer is a newbie, they won't care about scoring, but if they are at least decent, they'll care about it.
There was a time in my "killer career" (just to give that a name), that I stopped caring about people escaping. As long as I get a ruthless killer or merciless, I know I played well, so no reason for getting mad. I have achieved a ruthless scoring even with 2 survivors escaping.
Killing or escaping, doesn't mean winning or losing.
-
Survivors can do a 360 easier than killer because they have to just press "WASD" keys, and killers must turn all the way with the mouse, which is of course, harder to perform.
What is the solution then?
Stand still.
Of course, you'll fail 1 or 2 hits at the start because you can't expect so easily a 360, but once you know that certain survivors tend to do 360, you just get close, wait for something to happen, and then click M1.
Waiting a short time before hitting is the key to bait dead hards, and 360s.

Sort of agree, but I don't care about the other 3 survivors, the 1 survivor that's being camped is derived of all fun because they can't do anything all game once they hang.
I almost never play survivor, but when I do, if I get facecamped, I just suicide.
There's no reason to play a game against a facecamper.
And now that crossplay is active, queue times are short, so waiting for a game is no longer a problem.
Also, given the scenario that let's say the killer camped the 4 survivors and they all died in 1 hook, that killer can depip.
So if you do that against a killer like that, they'll end up deranking.
-
That's why I almost never run moris.
Generator's speeds are completely unfair, so If you run a mori, survivors will just play sneaky and gen rushing like crazy.
Thus, if you try to run a mori to have fun, you'll end up having less fun that if you play without it.
That's why I always laugh at people who think that moris are unbalanced; they completely are.
But if you use it, they'll feel that they are playing against the clock, so they'll interact less with you.
Never use moris believe me, it's a waste of time.
-
Why people write such walls of text? I think they just don't know how to use paragraphs and keep their ideas short.
-
I'm not going to read such a big wall of text but I'll answer the title.
Camping the whole game 1 survivor is indeed unfair for that person, but leaves the other 3 survivors 99% chances of escaping.
Using camping or proxy camping in certain situations as a strategy is fair.
-
I wouldn't say that they are "immune" to mistakes, but definitely, survivor's mistakes have less impact in the game than killer's mistakes.
Survivors mistakes? They can end up injured or hooked, but they have more chances of living.
Killers mistakes? 2 and even 3 gens can pop if you overextend a chase, or if you waste too much time trying to find survivors.
Yes, there's definitely a difference between the outcomes of both side's fails.
-
Yeah, when you get into green ranks, games start getting decent.

Yeah, the ones that have obviously been around for a minute or two doesn't bother me. They know how this game works by now. I mean I knew these players were somewhat new but never thought they could possibly be as new as they were. Honestly they should make it to where new players are only matched with new players for their first so many games or something like that.
The matchmaking is really broken.
Red ranks are usually paired with low ranks, it doesn't matter if we have MMR or not.
-
I barely feel bad for survivors.
The only scenarios where I do feel bad are those that you described, the ones where they don't even know what they are doing in the game, because they are extremely new players. Then I always give hatch.

gEn rUsH Is nOt a tHinG

This pass is worthless.
I liked the previous one but this...omg.
Also, would be nice to add extra bps and shards as you said to the non-premium, because then, there is no point to upgrade it if you are non-premium.
-
Useless killer with strong perks.
That's his best definition.

I haven't been getting many red rank survivors lately as a red rank killer.
The problem with this broken matchmaking is that non red rank killers are getting red rank survivors.
That's the real problem.
Only red rank killers should get red rank survivors.
-
Oh, killers getting red rank survivors?
Yeah, nothing new.
-
I completely agree with this. Each survivor should have a unique characteristic, the same as each killer has a unique power.
-
ok
-
That happens when then killer has a slow internet connection. You can do nothing about it, just devs can fix it improving the "hit validation" thing on their servers.
That system is improving, it's now better than before, but it's not obviously perfect yet.
-
It's nice seeing that a person acknowledged that doctor is not a bad killer. Doctor and legion are underrated killers but are my favorite ones.
He doesn't need nerfs imo.

Why would you want to "nerf" a low tier killer like deathslinger with 0 map pressure?

nope

So long as rank reset exists, no one will ever be a "true" anything since all anyone has to do is stop playing for a few months and be reset to a rank that doesn't accurately represent your skill.
I just hope the devs don't give up on the MMR because using a matchmaking system based on ranks is the wrong way to go about this. I thought having access to PS4, switch, Xbox, and PC would help to smooth things out a little bit rank-wise, but apparently I was wrong.
"since all anyone has to do is stop playing for a few months and be reset to a rank"
Yeah, I forgot to mention that I also consider 1 month rank resets a bad practice. It's a really short time.
Devs don't need to think so much on planning this, just copy the system League of Legends has. And they are actually doing it.
In league of legends they have ranks and hidden MMRs. That's all.
So they are doing here the same, and that's the right way to act.
Even tho, ranks still matter.
