Actually wraith need buffs.
-
"I was just curious as to when killers tend to start playing 'toxic' "
The answer is quite simple.
If you play toxic, I play toxic too.
Usually I never play toxic unless they force me.
It's up to them if the killer will play toxic, or not.
-
I'd be ok removing the hatch.
If survivors weren't fast enough to repair all the gens and escape, so their job failed, the last survivor shouldn't get a free escape by potentially doing nothing.
Gen speeds are already fast, so no need to get free escapes.
-
For example, ranking up or down doesn't matter to me, and getting 1k or 4k, neither.
The thing is that is hard to camp when survivors always use the same crutch perks so it's impossible to camp if they all have BT and DS.

Wow, you're living up to your name.
Well, not my fault if others pissed me off and made me tilted.
-
Sad moment.
-
Maybe he wanted to intentionally tunnel 1 person the whole game.
I sometimes do that to piss people off and making others not get points.
-
My last matches today I was using mad grit.
With the huge amount of cocky and disrespectful gen rushers I was facing today, it was kinda worth.
I actually won a game by downing all of them because they didn't notice I had mad grit while carrying the survivor.

Yeah, I keep playing to find more of these matches. Part of the reason that I am about to try and drop my rank by quite a bit.
As I said in other threads, these days I'm actually playing with 0 effort and just chilling, just to derank a bit.
It's hilarious, because the moment I reach rank 5 or 6 again, I start seeing variety and more fun matches. When I hit Red ranks the fun ends, it's a curse.
-
I like to see legion as a "simple" killer to learn the game, but a "hard" killer to master.
As you said, the issue with legion is that you can't kill with your power. So you HAVE TO mind game, and sometimes that's hard.
Sometimes you have to play legion in a similar way that you'd play wraith. Hit and run. You leave all injured and then you try to surprise them while they are healing and out of position.

I love this question, because it's a good reminder that both sides are necessary to make the game worth playing.
Personally, my favorite matches are when the Killer is playful. After sweat matches or failing a challenge, I just enjoy coming across a Killer that does bonkers #########.
Miss a hit? Throw a temper tantrum by turning in circles.
Have a survivor point at you accusingly? Shake your head like they hurt your feelings and go chase another.
I love when it's a Ghostface and we can face off spamming crouch.
This is just me, and I know it can be hard to communicate intent between the two sides. But when they align...*sigh* it's beautiful.
I could say the same about survivor. My favourite matches is when they are willing to actually play the game, interact with the killer, loop, hide and seek etc etc etc.
If they just want to gen rush and escape is just disappointing.
-
Well, some of them seem to have fun gen rushing you to death and then in the end chat, making fun of you.
-
As I always say, tunneling and camping are strategies, each one you must know exactly when to use.
As slugging, they also have their purposes.
-
If they don't change the blight's power I'm going to be = disappointed.
-
Now pyramid head has a bigger head.

Let's be real nobody wants to hold m1 all match it isn't about being toxic or disrespecting anyone it's about trying to have fun and get a few laughs , even if I die IDC sometimes I'll mooncrawl on the ground and meme with the killer after going down
As for the chat it's totally uncalled for , I don't understand what it is about this game that makes some people feel like they're the best there ever was at it or that they need to insult someone after losing a game , that's the immaturity in alot of people showing and in my experiences they're kids that aren't even old enough to play talking the trash 18 and under
Playing killer feels like having to watch 4 kids.

As for me, I'm pretty fine with sweatfest, copypasted builds and other bs as long as these players are polite and don't act like biggest [BAD WORD] on the planet
But when these bastards start blaming ME for doing the EXACT thing they are doing (running meta, sweating, running STRONG things, playing dirty etc etc etc) I really want to hurt them.
Sometimes I dream to be able to get matched against same survivors in next game with a snap of my fingers. Oh, you dared say anything to me when I was chill playing Wraith with ######### build, while you sweated like you were in international finals, running strongest survivor perks in game, being and swf and using top tier items? I'll make sure to unleash some really monstrous things like Slug king doctor or straight up take my nurse (legacy 3 btw) and burn you to ash. And do that again. And again. Until that little ######### learns its lesson and will never opens its mouth unless it wants to say something positive.
I like you dude.

I believe you can only hear the phase sound outside her terror radius If I'm not mistaken.

Maybe bring back old legion?

PS4 player here, in my experience there's a lot of camping/tunneling in brown and yellow ranks, less camping in green (though tunneling is still prevalent,) but I don't experience that much playing in purple and red ranks.
It still happened occasionally, but was certainly much less prevalent (again, that's in my experience.)
Since crossplay has happened I am experiencing it more, though, but I'm not sure which platform it's coming from.
That's obvious.
I mean, camping is a strategy, but a bad one.
The higher you get in ranks, the more you realize how bad it is.
But, sometimes I use it, a little bit, to make people angry. If they are angry they tend to act without thinking, and group up sometimes, which is useful for me.

Useful? Incredibly strong, providing free tracking on gens without needing perks and making 3 gens/EGC aknist unwinnable.
Trust me, PH doesn't need this. He's pretty damn strong.
If they just make it like if you click M1 on gens doesn't count for triggering killer instinct would be ok.
Because you can crouch and not be detected.
-
That would be useful, and people would whine about it.

Survivor is boring for me.

First offence against forum rules gives nothing wrong.
Second offence means you're "jailed"; you get the bars, cannot make new discussions, and I believe you're limited to commenting every 150 seconds (though it could be 120 or 180 I can't remember, I think it's 150).
Third offence is an one month ban. This completely locks you out of the forums.
Fourth is a permanent ban.
Both ban's give the "USER BANNED PLEASE CARRY ON" profile picture.
Thanks, neat explanation ^^

@brokedownpalace said:
They did something against the rules. You can't post as frequently when you're jailed.
Dumb question: if they have the icon "User banned and carry on", they are banned right? So they cannot enter anymore I guess.

Not for cocky survivors.

To me, she's one of the most boring killers to play. Also trapper.
Because I have a problem with traps tho :).

You can definietly improve to the point these teams (even though they are a huge rarity) will be no problem. Very good nurse/spirit/huntress mains would waste this team to the ground.
Besides these perks (except OoO, which is OP) are used to counter playing unfairly, e.g camping and tunneling off the hook.
Huge rarity???
Duuude all my games in red ranks are survivors spamming the same copy pasted build again and again lol 😂 😂 😂 😂 It gets boring so fast.
That's why I derank to purple so I can see variety again.

They had to have successfully succeeded the skillcheck mid chase then everytime.
This has been a long running complaint about the perk. It needs to be changed so that they can’t just tap and do the skillcheck while running.
Go that's a nonsense. The only purpose of overcharge is that survivors can't simply tap the gen mid chase and get away with it, while you have to do a long ass animation to stop the gen.
If that's the case I think I'm not running again Overcharge, what a mess.
-
I'm considering starting to main forever freddy and spirit.
Because it's a nonsense survivors spamming the same crutch perks again and again.
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
I don’t know what the others are talking about.
If they tap the gen, the Overcharge skill check will pop up, even if the survivor is immediately running away. They have to succeed the skill check in order to not blow the gen, and stop the generator from regressing further (normal regression after the initial instant 15% regression for failing Overcharge).
So if the skill check is failed it’s an instant 15% regression. The gen will continue to regress as normal afterward unless the gen is tapped again, or worked on.
Well today I had games where they tapped the gen in chase, and they stopped the regression. Idk if they hit the skillcheck or not.
-
Well, survivors are the toxiest role in this game from my own experience.
The times I've played survivor I don't find the same toxicity in killers. But I'm ok with it and there's a point on playing dbd that you just accept that. It is how it is.
Playing killer always feels like taking care of 4 kiddos. Because that's how they usually act, like kids, instead of playing the game.
-
@BaldursGate2 said:
The first 40 games i wrote down every perk, but it was pretty clear, that only 9 perks were used the majority of time.
So, 400 survivors.
Rankings:
- DS - 174 - 44%
- Iron Will - 130 - 33%
- Borrowed Time - 129 - 32%
- Dead Hard - 127 - 32%
- Selfcare - 119 - 30%
- Adrenalin - 95 - 24%
- Sprintburst - 80 - 20%
- Spinechill - 70 - 18%
- Unbreakable - 66 - 17%
= 990 of 1600 (every survivor used 4 perks) are by just 9 perks - 62%.
The DS + Unbreakable Combo was used by 40 survivors. 37 games by one, 2 games by two and 1 game by three.
I am not surprised. I don't think the data will change much by 1000 games, maybe 1-3% variable.
All other perks where used <30 times. I only have the old data from the devs in mind for DS, where it was around 43%.
And this, Is why I intentionally derank from red ranks.
No creative builds, just mindlessly spamming crutch perks.
I'm not going to play such boring games.
-
Now that MMR is disabled, you should be able to switch killers again.
Until MMR is not working as promised, that is a nonsense.
-
Totems spawns are the reason why I usually don't like running hex perks.
Now that blight is coming out, hopefully, undying will fix some issues. At least they'll have to cleanse the 5 totems to get rid of hex perks.
Once, I thought a solution that the devs could do to fix this, which is fairly..."easy" to implement.
1: For each map, you create a long list of fixed totem spawn positions.
2: When the match starts, 5 totems spawn in 5 random positions, given that list of positions per map.
In order for this to work, the list of positions should be long enough so people can't easily remember all the positions.
I think that this simple fix, would be an improvement.
-
Salt is the best when they cry so loud.
-
Give my legion a glock, I swear I would be so happy.
-
Well, I also get pissed seeing red rank survivors always running the same crutch builds.

My earbuds that I connect to my phone go brrrrr cuz I won't have a headset til' winter, speaking about the topic though, I hope one of the forum mods read through this thread, because I came up with a way that can help people guess where Spirit goes.
Make it to where, while phasing the grass, corn, ect. Move a tad. But not enough for it to be seen across the map, but enough for people to have a basic idea where they go. It forces them to stay on their toes and keep their senses heightened. You think Spirit is performing a fake out? Guess what look around the environment and see if something is moving.
earbud. that was the word god damn. So frustrating when I can't find the exact word.

@Mekochi said:

Yeah, most likely. Because it is true that with Spirit you need a good headset, especially on Stridor Spirit. And you need basic killer knowledge, because well, it explains itself.
Maybe I got confused because yeah, you need basic killer knowledge with every killer lol.
Decent headset.... Depends.
Before, I had a regular stereo headset, now I have a virtual 7.1 headset. It's true that it adds more directions, but it's kinda the same. As long as you are not playing DbD on speakers or regular and casual "headsets" you are good (I'm not a native speaker, so it doesn't come to my mind the exact term, but I'm talking about those little speakers that you put in your ears with cables, you know).
-
@Mekochi said:

I think they meant in general, because you made a list of things for a killer. But for some Killers you do need a good headset you do need to have a basic understanding of how killer works. So it's not just you specifically it's just in general.
So he wanted to add those points to the list? I'm kinda lost right now.

you literally need a good headset and basic killer knowledge in order to excel with spirit
I have talked about this before but.... I do have a good headset. And I don't want to sound entitled, but I think I have basic killer knowledge at the very least.

I understand what you mean, although I wouldn't put myself as "The weakest link, " but not as the best player either.
In about 9/10 of the scenarios where I'm tunneled and camped it's because I looped the Killer for 3, 4 even 5 gens. Not straight out the gate.
Then you were facing off killers that didn't know when to drop a chase. And when to ignore good loopers.
